Speaker 1 (00:01):
Get up with Gaily and Emily J. Well. One of
the best walks to do around the Gold Coast is
around the Burly Head Lens and the Ocean View track
there and there's the pandanus trees there and I think
many people know them as well. Let's call them Willie trees, right,

(00:21):
so they they they have the leaves on some of them,
but then they kind of stick out. They have appendage,
thank you. And over the weekend on Sunday morning, people
went for a walk and someone in the middle of
the night had got out some peach paint and red
paint and painted the appendages to look as they have

(00:43):
always looked, but a bit more real life. They're everywhere.
It's so good.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Someone's peen the Gold Coast.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
They've peen the Gold Coast. Okay, so here's the thing.
Vulgar vandalism is what the Gold Coroast Bulletin have called it.
I think it's one of their most shared posts ever.
And I'm going to call this I came here for
the comments because it was hilarious reading on a Sunday morning.
A lot of people are okay with it. They're saying,
don't don't like change it don't make the council go

(01:11):
and paint over it. I don't know how they're going
to paint over it, but anyway, So Gold Coaster of
the Year Awards. One of the comments was better than
the Rainbow Steps. That's a tourist attraction. The people saying
they were vulgar without the painting, because we've all been
calling in the willy trees. They're just happy to see you.
Can we all get over it? A new GC attraction,
a paint and sit location. Portraits of Tom Tait local

(01:36):
one there.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Actually see Tom. If that's the case, I'd be okay
with it. Leave it, leave it alone, vulgar, I.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Love dagwood dogs with sauce trees. Are looking for an
only fans manager, maybe a new Swell sculpture for twenty
twenty five. It's our very own mystery artist like Banksy,
except for they're called wanks. See Get Up with Gailee

(02:05):
and Emily j On one night it's Tomorro
