Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good mind. And oh congratulations, thank you very much. It's
nice to talk to you, guys. It's been a while.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It's actually been too long to be honest.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Well, anyway, here you are, as the song is great,
tell us all about it and the new album.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Well, it's the songs for by that Girl of Beer.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
But don't be misguided by the title, because it's not
just about that. It's a song that's all about taking
a risk in life and you know, not living with
regrets and having a crack. And yeah, it's one of
my favorite songs I've ever recorded. I've done a lot
over in Nashville the last the last six months or
so and recorded this over there, and new producer and

(00:39):
sort of bigger sound, so very very excited and creative.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Though, Like how good a feeling is that when you
know you write a song, you follow through the process,
and then you go through the recording and the producing,
and then when you hear the final product and then
you see it well received and do well, it's kind
of like and you want more of.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
It, yeah, you do.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
And it's weird how you know you have these visions
in your head, especially when you're in the studio and
light it up to the perfect example because I remember
sitting with the two boys that I co wrote the
song with and who produced it, and I remember clearly
being in the studio one day and we were listening
to like an early mix and I was like, you
know what, this would be perfect for like a footy sink.

(01:23):
I'm so seeing this being used on like the AFL
And they were like, you know what, that's a great idea.
We should try and get it to the right people.
And it started out as a little a little idea,
and then to actually have it happen is, yeah, it's
pretty it's pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
So proud of you, mate, are you Are you really happy?
Like we always say this to you, You're like the
hardest working person ever and this has never ever been
an overnight success. You have poured everything into this career.
Are you now at the sweet spot? Are you happy?

Speaker 1 (01:54):
It's a good question. You know what.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Sometimes you've got to stop when you're I don't know,
you guys have been able to relate to this. When
you're really driven and you've got lots of goals and
things you want to do, sometimes you forget that you
have to stop and go hang on a second, you know,
look at what you've been able to do the last
few years, and you've got to be grateful and not
forget about that because you're always thinking that the next
big thing you want to do, And.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah, I think it's important.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
That's something that I'm starting to learn a bit more
about doing that, because, yeah, you go through ups and downs.
You know, it's not always it's not always smooth sailing.
So when you're going through the tough times, you've got
to stop and go, well, been pretty lucky.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
So yeah, well, dal.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
You know my question before about a happy There are
people listening right now that wish they were you, wish
that they had the success you had. But then of
course you're probably looking above that going wish I had
that success. I still want to, you know, win a Grammy,
whatever it is that you're going for. So we just
want you to know we're so proud of you, and
this might be the Grammy album Oh thank you.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
And you know, it goes way back to when I
was probably you know, knocking on your door trying to
get a an interview on radio years and years ago.
But you know, you guys have always been very supportive,
so you know, it's great to be a gold coaster.
And you know there's any young kids listening that have
got a dream of getting into music. There's no reason
why we can't do it right here, So yeah, go

(03:16):
for it.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
By that Girl of Beer is out now, so make
sure we get it and celebrate it, and know that
it's not about just buying a girl of beer. It's
about a lot more other.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Stuff, exactly, exactly, maybe a red wine though, if you
haven't a drink with me in case, could you buy
me a red wine?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
It just didn't come. It just didn't roll off the
tone when we were singing it. It just didn't sound right.
It doesn't.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
It doesn't sound very country by that old chuk of
red wine.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Doesn't fit in a song by that girl of prosecco.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Buy that girl of mugger reader exactly.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Too much to fit in. Well. I look forward to
yours and my writing session when we write a song together.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Mate, buy that girl a sandwich.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
We could definitely write the next footy anthem that's.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
I'm available when you've got time to waste.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
You know he's not going to call until the next
song's released, So we'll talk to you in.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
A few months.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
No, I text him all the time.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Well, look Ald you the Hawks.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
The Hawks.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
They go, well, we're rolling the pie down the Hawk. Yeah, yeah, Casey.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
I don't text Casey because he's.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Blocked my number.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Alongs with him.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Gaily and EM it's it on hot Tomatrow.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
I thank you, Casey Barnes actually changing new song by
that girl of Beer
