Speaker 1 (00:00):
So yesterday, if you were listening to the radio, you
would have heard us all morning Lucy in Us saying hey,
you got to stay away from Rabena Parkway because it
was closed for the Owen Wilson movie that's being made
and it's called Runner. Have you heard about what the
movie is all about.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Yeah, it's an organ donor Yesta transporter an organ to
and he's under pressure.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Under pressure, right, But it says in the paper here
he's got to deliver the organ from Brisbane to the
Gold Coast, So that means is it set here or
is it they're just saying that they're using Brisbane to
the Gold Coast. Well, I know it's the set.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I think this is saying as is. They did mention
in an article the other day. They weren't trying to
pretend that the city was somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
So it is Brisbane of the Gold Coast coupled.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Possibly that's really cool.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
So it's act to Alan Richardson and then Owen Wilson,
which is really huge. So they shut Rabena Parkway yesterday
and the paper today is just full of everyone really
upset about it because businesses are saying that they only
found out via a letter a few days beforehand, or
they saw it on community pages. We were doing live
reads for the city council everyone know, so a lot
of people couldn't get to work, couldn't get their clients

(01:04):
to work. Thirty percent down. Some businesses were saying, which at.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
This, you know, blame it that father, Like there's no
business on the parkway itself.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yeah, I don't know. I feel like maybe more than
a week or a day or two notice would have
been nice. They had like a letterbox drop. So yeah,
but I.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Was reading one I have the cows felt about it.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Well, I'm reading the article though, and I'm like, oh,
I feel for them. You know, times are tough at
the moment. Thirty percent down on one day, that's a lot.
And then people are saying all the ways they found
out community pages and the letter and everything like that.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
And so Alan Richson, who plays reach Out, he's on
the Gold Coast at the moment, and we were talking
earlier about the movie that was filming on a Rabina
Parkway how it was closed yesterday morning and caused a
few people to sort of post that complain about the
fact that we didn't have enough notice on it being closed.

(01:57):
And some people are saying that their business down maybe
thirty percent, and all of those things attached. But we'd
love the movie's been on the Gold Coast and this
is we're very proud that people get to film here.
So we sort of were talking about Alan Richson. Owen
Wilson's in it as well, and I said, hey, I've
got something on him. He can sing, because I can

(02:18):
remember he went on American Idol and auditioned on American
Idol and he he kind of serenaded. I can't remember
whether it was Paula Abdull or Katy Perry now, but
he serenaded them. I can remember a long time ago.
This is before he sort of made it big. So
he can sing, and so he looks pretty good. Like

(02:40):
you'd have to admit that he's a handsome, strapping big lad.
But it sucks that he can sing like this as well.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Don't good change please me.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Dully for.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Mm hmm, don't imagine you're two familiar wow.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Little see anymore.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
When its trouble never could have come there fun So
the goods, i'd say, the leads, I'll say, just the

(03:41):
way you.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Wow these comments right on that quip.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Has he posted that himself Instagram.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Well he does it, it's not just that song. He's
done heaps. I want to so you can have a
look at it. And then he this guy has said said,
how do I block my wife? And then another comment
comes up to back that up. Tell her to watch
Reacher on Amazon Prime instead. She'll prefer that guy, right,
And then the guy that did the original post said, bro,

(04:14):
I'm not putting any ideas in her head.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
I don't really know who he was because I don't
watch that other show, reach Out, reach Out. I've never
seen it. So the boys pull it up on the
screen here and I just had a.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Little look at it with no shirt on.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Yeah, there's a scene and he's in a hotel room
and he's just got tight little boxer shorts on, and
then the little French maid comes in to give him
some clothes. I'm like, don't put those on. I now
know why there was traffic at the Ravina Parkway. Don't
say it was the movie. It was all the women
of the Gold Coast that he was there and driving
as fast as they good to get there, hoping that

(04:50):
his shirt was off late be a dead disappointment because
of the traffic. You were standing at the front of
the movie, righty gull.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Your ship was off
