All right, it's back again. Gosh, it feels like we
really spoke to you like five minutes ago. But here
your golf day is back on Friday.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
We are Yeah, yeah, we're back and bigger and better.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
This is not a call out for playing. This is
a call out to say that there's lots of raffle
tickets and all that kind of stuff for everybody else
who hasn't managed to get a place in your golf game.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Yeah. Yeah, it felt out pretty much the year before.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Look what you've gone it done being popular?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Yeah, bloody monster.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Yeah. But one of the raffles is beer. Tell us
about that.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Yeah, so the beer for a year ten dollars a ticket,
and there's a hundred there's one hundred tickets per I
think it's one hundred tickets for one thousand figures per
that and once that hits the the end of it,
it will restart again. So it's ten bucks two gets
a beer for a year, and I think it's twenty

four cartons of beer.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Nice work. I reckon a lot of people on their
way to work now listening to this will definitely be
like right, I mark that down today I've got to
get raffle tickets. How do they do that?

Speaker 1 (01:10):
It's pretty easy. You just go on Mick Founding charitygolf
day dot com and just follow the Lenk Beer for
a year. There. There's also some incredible auction items. You know,
We've got a guitar and a ukulele signed by Eddie
Vedder and pel jm. We also have yeah its merchandise

and then also you can make a donation if you want.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Congratulations you have sold your house there that trended in
the news. Is it all sold and done?

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah? You have new owners are in there.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
So yeah, was that a bit sad to sell that one?
That was such a nice house.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
It was a bittersweet, Yeah, but yeah it was. You know,
we all take new directions in life, and yeah, me
and my family decided that we're going to, yeah, take
a new direction and we're happy with the decision.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
That's have you Have you been in the water a
lot made? Are you're still getting to surf a lot?
I know you're busy in so many factors, but are
you sort of able to get out into the water
enjoy yourself.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yeah, I try and surf every day. I still love surfing.
It's still something that I am so passionate about. It's
something that I Yeah, it's great for my mental health,
actually wash off some of the stresses of trying to
make a perfect sandwich from my farms for school.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Yeah, that'sn't like being in something you can control rather
than something you can't control.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
It is real.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
You think the surf you can't control. But I'll tell
you what, it's a lot easier than a kid.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
When when we had that epic.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Surf the other day and you were in the water
and you swim up to a kid and you reckon.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
That he had your brother's board.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Do you still think it was your brother's board?

Speaker 3 (02:50):
What's that story?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Yeah, it was pretty wild. I've jumped back on the
ski and I've just seen this guy in the most
amazing wave and probably the wave of as well, and
it was just incredible. And he came up and just
absolutely screaming, and I was like to my friend Berre,
like go over there, let's pick him up, and let's
see how stoke he is. And he was just, yeah,

(03:14):
just so elated, like tears of joy comes down his face.
And I looked down at the board and I was
like hang on, that's that's my brother's old board from
back in the day. And yeah, I sort of contacted
the shaper. I was like, do you think it is doing?
And yeah, so everyone thinks it is. So it was

(03:35):
a pretty beautiful sign from from her to you know,
get someone in a tube of their life.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, yeah, right where you're there, so you get to
see It's like it's like he's surfing with you.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Yeah, it was. It was pretty pretty special and pretty emotional.
And yeah, it's like, you know, I used to serve
with my brother's out here all the time, and so yeah,
to have that sort of annection with a young bloke
that just went to an op shop and border boards
for twenty bucks and see how excited he was about

(04:08):
it all, I was just like I was over the moon.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Well, Mick, it's a delight to talk to you again.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I'm actually going to be at the Gulf day as
South Pearson's asked me to be her little buddy. So
I'm besides myself with excitement to be there and be
a part of this thing you've created.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
So I look forward to seeing you.

It's gets so all fired up. It's going to be
an incredible day. And yeah, I can't wait for it.
