Well, the Koumra Connector has been given a new name
and it's nearly ready to go, which is super exciting.

And to call it Brian, why don't we call highway
is name?

I'm just driving up on Brian. They've got Bruce. Why
can't we have Brian?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
True? But why all boy names? Can't we have a
few girl names? Cheryl?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yeah, we just need to Okay, you.

Go down, Cheryl, then your head up, Brian.

Sorry, we just realized why we don't call them names.

So it's still going to be called the Coumbra Connector, right,
which is great because that's what we're all calling it.

Other people have been calling it the second M one
and it's now going to be called the M nine,
So it's Comera Connector M nine, just like we've got
Pacific Motorway M one.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Why didn't they go M two, three, four, five six?

There is already an M two?

Is that like the new South Sydney. Yeah, whatever it.

Is, there's alreadyn M two. Okay, So we're all wondering why.

Why is it the M nine?

So I'm going to tell you why they call it
M and then a number.

So in Queensland we've got and here's a big word.
I've just learned, Alpha numeric road system.

Alpha numeric M starts for motorway, which basically means big
fast road, no traffic lights. That's what the M is for.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Did you know that?

Speaker 1 (01:20):
It's because it has no traffic lights?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
And the number is just a unique label so we
don't confuse it with another one. So the M nine
doesn't miss that we've missed from like two through to eight.
You know, like I don't know that you feel like
you've missed a Netflix series or something. It's just been
picked because it hasn't already been taken.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Okay, it's not like so that's your research.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Yeah, that's what that's come up with.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I wanted a better reason.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Well yeah, so think about it like this. So like
the M one is like the big star footy player
and M nine is the new rookie.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Oh there you go like that. So I would have
called it it's about time? What are you doing? I'm
going on there, it's about time because it's about time
when you're stuck on it, it's about time.

And by the time we get on the about time,
we're going to need another about time.
