Speaker 1 (00:00):
So there was a crock in a pool a Port
Douglas at the Sheridan on holidays. Was made the news
over the weekend and it was funny.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I first heard it because we had a girl's trip
planned for up there and one of.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
The girls was like, I'm not going this. Too many
crocs and we're in the girls chat we were.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Like, stop it, your being stupid, just book your flights,
and then she's the first one that sent it to
the car.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
I was not wrong.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
At first I thought it might have been Ai, but no,
it's been confirmed that it was true that a baby
croc was in the big lagoon pool at the Sheridan Mirage,
Port Douglas. So have you guys ever been there before?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Been to Port Douglas. I haven't been to the Sheridan.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
So it's a huge pool.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
It's a huge pool, and they have to have this
big pool because if you go for a walk on
the beach as you walk out of the Sheridan, there's
big signs that say just beware of crocs on the
beach and don't swim the beach.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
So then of course you go for a walk and
every log looks like.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
A god thing.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
It's like we didn't go into the water and a
bit of seaweed hits you.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Oh my, I call it a seaweed shark y.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
I say Dan's Life from a seaweed shower hero on
one of our first troops and everything I just said.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I stood in front of it when the shark was
coming with seaweed.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
But here thing is it didn't know.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
I didn't know, so I did the right thing. I
could have been legless here exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Now. The funny part of this story is is that
nobody did anything.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
People were still sitting.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
The person that was filming the baby croc in the
pool was then filming everyone in.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Their deck chairs just lying around the pool getting sun.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Maybe they didn't know.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
No, they knew, you knew. And there was a sign
that was put up.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Hotel guests were told by staff please stay out of
the pool until the animal could be safely captured and relocated.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Everybody was like, you know, all the comments are.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Like the fact that no one cares holidays. I'm not
letting it's so Australian, isn't it, Just like.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
You know it's Australian. Well, the guy rolling up with
a pool scar.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, do you know what's really funny is my kid's
favorite toy. It's actually a blow up crocodile that we
got from like the Cheeps.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Teddy would have jumped in and got I'll get it.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
He would have, he would have brought it.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
He would have put like a lead on it and
be walking like it was a pet. Anyway, I did
not know this, but if you have a crocodile in
your pool, there.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Is actually a number you.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Because bad Queensland, is it really like we call the
snake guy here, there is a guy that you could
call and he will come and get the croc out
of the pool. So just in case you need one,
the numbers thirteen hundred one three zero three seven.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
That's brilliant. It's eight fifty four live across the Gold Coast.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
