Speaker 1 (00:00):
We're talking about Dangerous Animals, which was a film filmed
here on the Gold Coast starring Gai Courtney, and it
launched last night at Pacific Fair and it was brilliant.
I am so excited for the Gold Coast to see
it because the Gold Coast is the main character. So
it's not a film that has been made hire set elsewhere.
It is purely the Gold.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Coast, right, So this is going to just get a
lot of tourists coming here to die.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Tell you what it is, A queens lanturusamad gone, very
very roll, That's what it is. And the premise of
it is is that Jy Courtney, who is the sexiest
serial killer in the world, is a tour operator taking
people swimming in shark cages, and he hunts for people
who have no family or haven't told anybody where they are,

(00:50):
and that's how he gets.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
His victims, vulnerable travelers.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yes, he's like a Bond villain who shops at BCF.
That's the best play to describe him. He danced low brown,
He dances in his undies in one of the scenes,
and he's scary as hell, but you're still conflicted as
a woman. You're like, so, when are we going swimming
with sharks? Honestly, take me now.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
That is so good.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
But we thought we'd open up the phones because it's
Wolf Creek but on a boat, right, So it's got
that real sinister vibe. But it's funny too. There's a
lot of humor in it, which is really refreshing you laugh.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
And then with stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
That he says, you know what I mean, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
And a lot of quotes out backwater and all of those. Yeah,
well there's jokes.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
I don't want to give TODs away, but like you
know about SeaWorld and stuff. It's so good, right, And
we were just talking off air, like I, after watching
Wolf Creek, will never hitchhike ever again. I mean I
only did it once in my life, but after that
I went no. And this one is going to make
me do this whenever I go on holidays. My family
are knowing the exact tinery every single day. They're going

(01:55):
to be so annoyed. My phone will just be like,
and now I'm going in a boat, and now I'm
going to go get a sloopy and now I'm going
to sleep at this address.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Well that's what your mom does when she goes on holiday,
she sends you all those videos and stuff like that.
She does every moment.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Now, I don't know, why.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Do you want to get kidnapped by a serial killer?

Speaker 1 (02:13):
After watching this, you'll barely want to go in the water,
you won't want to go on a boat, and you'll
never trust a tour operator ever again.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
So we wanted to talk about horror movies that make
you reassess your choices. So Jaws when that came out,
and I know that's a long time ago, but that
was the first one where people started not wanting to
swim in the ocean after they saw it.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Absolutely, and you dip your toe in and all you
can hear is.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
You're just like, I don't want to I'll just go
and shallow in. Hey can sharks go in pools? Exactly?

Speaker 1 (02:47):
I feel like we're never faster and I feel like
Chainsaw massacre, like as soon as someone fires up, oh,
you can't help.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
But especially when they wear a mask. They were so
popular in COVID.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
So we're talking about what horror film made you reassess
your life, choices, or change the way you do things.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Five Speak No Evil is another one that's on Netflix.
If you want to check it out?

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, what does that make you do?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
It makes you not necessarily trust a brand new friends. Oh,
if it seems like it's over the top, be red flags.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Okay, yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Double five seven one one o two nine. What horror
movie made you reassess your life choices?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Give us a call.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
You can share a family pass to the Mudrabar Agricultural Show.
It's back when Country meets the Gold Coast June twenty,
twenty ninth. Tickets are on sale now.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
This is going to be great for SeaWorld because no
one's going to trust any of the small operators on
the Gold Coast
