Look, I do appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
You honestly, Nelly died two weeks ago in an AFL game.
Tell more before we get onto what we're really meant
to be talking to you about.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Yeah, it was a I have a Legends game and
you know, people are you even playing? You're not a
legend of AFL, but I'm a legend of Australian cultures,
so you know, and I thought, why are you playing
in this game? I'll say, tell you why I'm playing
because they asked me to, so I say yes to
pretty much everything did all right?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
You kicked a goal that was a nice goal you
kicked before you got knocked on your ass again.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Mate, Yeah, I know, and I do appreciate that. So
I did kick a goal. At the time, I knew
I was injured, but I didn't realize how injured I was.
I kicked a goal with five broken ribs and a
punctured lung from twenty five meters own. It wasn't on
the goal one, which I was hoping, I'm going to
take me to the goal one, but they didn't look
at you.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Now, obviously your show is like talking about your chin.
I want to talk about the gen below you. Congratulations,
your son's got his first job. He's a checkout chick.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yeah, he's a checkout chick at Woolly's. I dreamed of
being a checkout chick, but they wouldn't let me. Apparently
my face wasn't fresh enough to be a fresh food person.
I would Yeah, I was relegated to the car park
doing the trolleys. You know, back in the eighties when
there was no speedling.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Well I actually missed like I was a Coles girl.
And I actually when I go when I first saw
that they were doing all this self checkout, so I
was like, outrageous, we're gonna let these young teens not
have a pathway. But now there's a little part of
me that's so happy to be packing my own groceries again,
because God, I was the queen of packing a good bag.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
You know. The funny thing is, you know, I was
being paid by the company and they wouldn't let me
do it, so and these days they're not paying me,
but I'm forced to do it, so you know, they
still don't trust me, which annoys me that those cameras
they're watching you the whole time, and if you make
a little mistake at the checkout, your system shuts down

and one of the prison wardens wanders over. Yeah, mistakes happened.
I actually was made to watch the vision one day.
This person said. I said, They said, what happened? I said,
I don't know. It was just shut down. They said,
let's have a look at the vision. Me and the
bloody work I had to watch me, you know, tapping
my stuff through him. And on the vision it did

look like I'd made a mistake because I put down
two avocados and it did look like there was twelve.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Just a little mistake, a little mille. The other teen avocados,
I didn't know they came wrong counting.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
That's why I don't work for anymore. All right, Well,
tell us about talking about your generation.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
You love it.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, it's that's that's it's It's Tuesday night, seven thirty
pm on Channel ten, and it's it's fine And I'm
gen X Captain, which is I thought it was going
to be the middle seat, but no, we killed off
the boomers, so the boomers are gone and it's gen
X is now the oldest one, so just use it.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Well, how are you recovering? Okay, now, I know it's
a couple of weeks since the punctured lung.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
But I've recovered. I haven't had my first flight yet.
You're not meant to fly with a punctured lung. Apparently,
I'm ready to roll the dice. I'm in Brisbane actually
on Friday night, so hopefully you know, my lungs don't
explode over what they're not going to explo Be fine.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
We'll miss you if it happened.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah, yeah, thank you.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
You imagine how many times will we replay this interview
in your honor? We just caught up with him the
other day. We'll say, we.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Have that radio meeting, do we play it? He'd want
you to play Yeah, yeah on our interview.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
