Speaker 1 (00:00):
Where I got special nest. Wow. Well there.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Sophia and Mom Megan. Good morning lit a girl squad.
Now we have been watching your rise to fame. We
had you on air when you first started at the
Corra Markets all that time ago, when you were like.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
What were you ten or eleven? Yeah? Ten?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
And now you here you are at sixteen, winning Gold
Coast Bulletin's Young Woman of the Year, then sponsoring it
this year, selling globally. But you decided to go on
the Shark Tank.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Why we actually got invited to go on Shark Tank?
So received an EMMA from them asking if it's something
we'd thought about and if we'd be interested in going
on the show.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
I'm glad you said that actually because producer Mom said,
if they're successful, why would they go on the Shark Tank?
And now I've got the answer.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Yeah, they invited us to be on it, which was
crazy that you know, we came to mind and then
that was back in like February, and then.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
A long like it's a long process, tell us about it.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
So from getting the email asking to be on the show,
we then had like zoom call meetings with them. We
had to film little videos about the business we had
to fill out. Mom had to fill out lots and
lots of documents and number information.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
And then like every sale you've ever had, like they
go through it like it's documents after documents, you have
to prove so much of your financials. Do they do
police checks into your background? Make sure that everything's all good?
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah, youth crime on the Gold Coast pretty at mugshot okay,
And so then you get flown down your pitch. She
did so well on TV. I've already been on and
people can watch it the teenplay, but you pick, but
you didn't. You didn't get a what do you call it?
(02:02):
A deal?
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:03):
I think they say a a shark? Why is that?
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Like?
Speaker 2 (02:08):
I just think your business is brilliant And I even
told you yeah, and they told you so for you
to suck your mom? So what's that story?
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Not once, but like four times said yeah, yeah, he
really wanted to get that in there, I think.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
But how did you feel about it when he kept
saying sack your mom?
Speaker 3 (02:26):
I literally I laughed.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
I don't know what just I was like, oh hah,
do you feel Megan?
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Yeah, I'm like because I'm thinking. And he started when
she was ten she's not she can't speak to supplies. Like,
do you think we got to this point? Yeah? I
have supported her every bit of the way. So I
was a little bit like, oh.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Very dismissive, and it's diluting your role and everything.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Probably feel that a bit, but you know, everyone who
knows us, you know, like you know how much work
goes in. That's a mom supporting your kids.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Oh well, we still love you and say congratulations, and
it's their loss. They are going to look back and
go that was the one that got away. Yeah, you've
got to prove them wrong. Now you've got to use
this to be your fire. Yeah, it hasn't been all
bad because then your website crashed because so many people
wanted to go on it. Is that what happened?
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Yes, so we had I think it went in a
different state. First, when the website was fine, we had
about five hundred people, and then when it was in
Queensland and everyone else, there were like one and a
half thousand people. And then we were like, oh, we're getting.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
No trying to buy.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Yeah, hell, we realized we're getting no orders. And then
I searched up the website and it said bad gateway
and didn't work, so we realized he had a bit
of a problem.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
But the website thought because so many people went to
the website at one time and thought it was under attack. Yeah,
and so it closed itself.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
So yeah, I was up to like two am, like
trying to get it back online.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Fine, so have they been restored or yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Yeah, and like there is a bajillion orders.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
For Christmas. Everyone's gettings. They are great. They shimmer pass
They're like, what.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Is my god, It's like a soft ball, It's like
fluffy and then inside it has like glitter inside of
it and they just tap it on your face and sparkly.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Yeah, yeah, weird.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Get me some of that.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
For setting you down, well, we use such a success
story for the Gold Coast. We're very proud of you guys.
Thank you for coming in and joining us. And also,

and the awards can't continue without amazing sponsors, so you
