Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, this Saturday sounds like a hope tel the Gold Coast.
They've got to get there and it's all for a
good cause.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
It is certainly for a good cause, so it's called
huck In for the Homeless. We're going to donate, try
and get as much money raised for the homeless. This
weekend it's basically a drift day at Queensland Raceway. Kids
from seven and over allowed to jump in for a
small donation, jump in for a passenger rive with forty
other drifters.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
So I love They are going to love that and
made are you going to be out there drifting around?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Yeah, sure we'll be. So we'll have the I Talk
and Hot Wheels GDSR up there along with the Camaro,
so we're bringing up the Hot Wheel stunt team. There's
also TJ Stunts in his stunt bike going to be
out there doing shows, and then forty other drift cars,
so there's plenty to see. It should be a very
very exciting day.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Does anyone get to go in yours mate with you?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Yeah, no doubt. They'll be going to line up, line
up to try and get in there. I think last
time I went through about ten sets of tires for
the day. So yeah, lots of fun, lots of fun.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
The second year. The first year you raised twenty thousand
dollars and that was for the Sharkak Foundation that help
out mental health. So why did you guys decide homeless
this time?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah, so Grant Noalie. Obviously it was their decision on
what to do, but they this time they really wanted
to will raise the money and then we're going to
go out as a group, all the drifters and everyone
that's helped out to make the day happen, and we're
going to head around to quite a few of the
homeless people or the you know, the hot spots and
stuff like that and give out some care packages, blankets, pillows,
all that sort of stuff. So hopefully we can get
an opportunity to even just to chat to the people

(01:33):
and see if I have two seconds.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Helps mate, It's pretty cool. Grant and Nellie hire out
the track and then you guys all come together as
a community to put a show on and put this on.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yeah, it's good. You know, forty drifters out there, they'll
go through probably one thousand dollars in materials between full
and ties for the day. Plus their mechanical maintenance and
all that sort of stuff. So really appreciate all the
guys that are coming out and girls that are coming
out to be a part of it. Yeah, it's good
to give back the community when we can.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
The Hot Wheels crew is so busy. They were all
out at Monster Machinery Day on the weekend as well.
They do love getting out into the community.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Yeah, sure, sure do so between Matt and Maddie and
Sheena there, I think they do other thirty events a year,
so there don't spend too many weekends at home. Yeah.
Drifting side of it, we do all of the supercar
rounds around the country, and yeah, it certainly keeps us
all busy.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
The people love the drifting.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
As the crowd goes to a next level ken.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
We're normally watching it, they're going to be able to
be in it, which is awesome and different.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah. Yeah, get an opportunity to sit in the passenger seat.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Okay, So it's this Saturday nine or five at Queensland Raceway.
Where's that? Where is Queensland Raceway?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
So that's shifted Ipswich. So you just forty five to
fifty minutes from the Gold coast here.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Yeah, fair enough, all right, it sounds like it's worth it.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah, definitely worth a drive.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Produce them on's here and she's just saying, we've got
to wear long pants, closed in shoes. Is that the
other thing?

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, they long bring least long, long sleeves, long pants.
If you've got a helm, bring a helmet. We do
have some community home much we can give out. But
obviously you don't have to wear them all day, but
when you go into the vehicle, that's what you've got
to wear.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I got a brilliant I got a brilliant idea. So
at Monster Machinery Day last week, which was Sunday here
on the Gold Coast, Kent mom turned up and she
made her kids birthday party at Monster Machinery Day. And
I'm just saying, imagine this, take all your kids to
this and say it's your kids birthday party, and that
you put it on for let them go. I just
want to throw it out there seven and up being

(03:28):
able to Yeah, perfect. So I just sort of put
it out there. If you've got any kids with a birthday,
this is an ultimate gift.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I think you're onto something there.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Look look at me, go and I look at you
guys go I can thank you so much for jumping
on board and make everyone get to it. Is there
any other details that we need to share, like where
can they see any more details?

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yeah, so if they want, they can jump on the
Facebook page Pucket for the Homeless And yeah, we'll be
doing updates there with exactly what to do, where to go,
there's plenty of parking, there's food on site, DJ is
a whole lot, so it's going to be a really
good environment. And yeah, thanks for helping us out to
share the word.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
No worries, mate, you do a great job.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Thanks, Ken, appreciate it.
