Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, So there's two couples that have been revealed over

(00:02):
the last couple of days that are already hurting my heart,
and there are red flags everywhere, and I want to
see if this is an actual reflection of perhaps what's
going on out there in the dating game at the
moment and here on the Gold Coast. So the first
couple I want to throw up Elliott and Lauren. Now,
Elliot's a really handsome guy. He's thirty five, and he
has been put together with Lauren, who is thirty seven.

(00:25):
The only problem is is that when he went on
the show and on the experiment, he let the producers
and the matchmakers know that he wanted somebody much younger
than him. Okay, so that was his first non negotiable,
and she obviously is older.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
There was definitely things on my non negotiables, right that
don't line up. I did say I wanted someone that
was younger than me. That was a non negotiable, right,
probably someone under thirty. You know, I'm not into like
luxury luggage and you know, super fancy restaurants or anything

(01:00):
like that.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Remember it is earlier, you're still figuring each other out.
You'll learn more things as you go along, and you
never know, right, I know, yeah, there you go.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
That is the producer in the background trying to calm
him down and convince him to stay. So and that's
their job.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yes, well they've made they're under the pump, those producers
because they pretty much make the show happen, that's right,
And they were trying to keep him in the show. Now.
I was reading some of the websites, you know, the spoilers,
and apparently he does leave and doesn't continue. That hasn't
come out yet. And then they match him with a
former Miss Universe. That's apparently the rumor going around at

(01:46):
the moment that he goes back and gets that, it
goes back and gets matched with somebody more like what
he was asking for. And then there's rumors that Lauren
gets matched with somebody else as well, a golfer or
something like that. So I don't want to spoil it
because I don't know if that's real, but it is
out there, all of them, Mum and me, Woman's day,
they're all reporting Daily Mail, they're all reporting that. But
the whole vibe of him was that she just wasn't

(02:07):
good enough, right, that he has what he wants and
she just wasn't good. He didn't even give her a chance.
And then the next night, when we're meeting more couples,
there was Tim and Katie. Now you fall in love
with Katie straight away. She's a thirty seven year old
CEO from y Mundy, Queensland, and she's the CEO of
a like a philanthropic company, and she's beautiful and never

(02:27):
been married and almost giving up on finding someone, and
you just want to hug her through the television. You
love her so much. She's matched up with Tim, who's
a school teacher, and straight away as she's walking down
the aisle, he's like, nup. Now Katie is a bigger
girl and he's straight away even though he's a bigger guy,
goes no, I normally go for small, petite blonde girls.

(02:50):
And he's actually quote he says, I'm embarrassed to have
gone on this show. I don't want to be here.
Have a listen to some of the beautiful but.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Just giveferent to what I would normally go.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
I normally go to shore the team.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Type, right. So that's what we could only find that
from someone filming it on on TikTok and she's saying
he has a type and same thing. The producers pull
him aside and like, could you give this girl a chance? Please?

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Like, could you've been matched?

Speaker 1 (03:22):
You've been follow through.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
You know, It's not like you can complaining at a
restaurant when you order a meal and your expectation isn't met.
So it's all of a sudden, oh, this is not
what I ordered sort of thing. It's kind of that's
not what this is.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
It does sound like that they they thinking that they're
coming on the show to order from a menu. I
want to open out the phones. I want to ask
this question of Gold Coast women. Are you finding that
I guess this is This is the underlying thing that
I felt watching both episodes. Those boys thought they were
better than they were. They both had such high opinions

(03:59):
of them that they thought they deserved, like, I don't know,
something absolutely perfect, rather than getting to know the lovely
women in front of them. Is that what's happening at
the moment you go on a date and they're making
you feel like they're better than they are and you're not.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah, this tim guy and I'm like, buddy, you're you're
not that great? Why why do you think you deserve
a miss universe when you've got this absolutely gorgeous, clever
ceo standing right in front of you. She's just a
girl standing in front of a guy asking him to
love her.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
It's the funniest thing is that you put down what
you would like, so everyone's going to always put down
like the upside of what they like.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
But it was all physical. It was so physical with
all those boys, And I just want to know is
that still happening? Is that happening out there?

Speaker 5 (04:52):
All right? Ladies, get call on double five seven, one,
one two nine. We've got a double actually out for grabs.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
A sister act.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
The musical open next week for the strictly limited season
at the Lyric Theater q PAK, Inspired by the iconic
film and starring Casey Jonovan. You don't want to miss
this one.
