So just to sort of explain our studio setup, we

He's got the keyboard on his side of the desk,
so often he'll pull something up on that computer screen

and we'll look at, I don't know, a latest movie

Weather for the day, et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
So yesterday, I'm just sitting at my desk and I
look up and here is Alo and he is just
captivated by someone cleaning a sixty year old Persian rug
that hasn't been cleaned in sixty years.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
It was so dirty, it was out of it. It
was actually from a prison being in the prison system
got it.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Was dirty, and so first we had a laugh, We're like,
what are you googling that? Fort what what is going on?
And then you said, no, it's just it's just come
up and like in your algorithm or something.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
But half an hour later we are also captivated by it.
Took not one but like a team of people, and
they had hoses and huge carpet cleaning machines like this.
The mud would have been about an inch thick, and
from start to finish we watched it.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
And they made it look like brand new. I mean
Persian rugs, we all know how good they are. But
this half hour process on camera, I reckon it would
have been almost a day's work in real life.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
I think it's to do with water.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
And you couldn't You couldn't tell it was a Persian
rug to start with.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
It was it was dirty, so that was like a surprise.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Halfway through, oh it's actually got a you know.

Pattern on at on it.

And then they cleaned it and you could even see
the color it was red. Now I've done the same
thing with on washing a four wheel drive.

You just had to stay and watch it.

I was watching it and then I found out twenty
minutes later, I'm still watching it.

It's like it's like an online scratchy. You have to
sit there and watch them scratch.

Off the dirt to see what's revealed.

Absolutely, it's the best before and after, but also a
little bit sad.

Once I start seeing it on Instagram when you see
the guy in the pop plant that dresses as the
tree and people walk past and he moves and scares
the crap out of them.

I can't stop watching it.

I watch it over and over, and then of course
the algorithm goes and every second thing that comes up
is the guy in the plant guy.

So for me it was and I know this sounds disgusting,
sorry if you're having your breakfast, but on it was
pimple popping.

And I don't know how it came into my algorithmbe
because I've got a teen daughter going through that, but
one came up and I had a little look and
went ooh and then now it's there all the time.

No, I can't not look.

You have to show me some like oh, Gailie, there
is so many, from big ones to little ones. There
was one lady doing black heads with this tiny little
like a tiny metal LASSU.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Oh yeah, yeah, I've seen those and you're so surprised.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
You run it over the black head and then it
just stands up, stands to attention.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Does it goes hello? It's kind of like it's you
know what it's like.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
It's like miniature wavymen that you see in the car
yards coming out of your skin.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
They just still come out at once. It's just like.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
If they can make a noise like a choir, that
would be awesome or just but like in like little
minion voices.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
So we want to open up the phones and ask
you the question what as the algorithm sent you down?
And you're not mad about it, because whilst a little
part of me is like, oh my god, my twenty
year old self would be like, what are you doing
in the future, You're watching video after video of Zit's
being popped.
