Okay, Well, congratulations first of all for getting on the block.
It's a hard shot to get into. Can you talk
through your audition process, because I know so many Gold
Coasters want to try and get in it on the block,
and when they do, they're often really successful.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah. Look, our advice for anyone that's wanting to try
for the block is just really give you video, a
good honest crack and just be yourself.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
And professional video is the way to go. Don't film
it on your iPhone. Get someone to film it properly
for you, because put your best foot forward.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
You were always a big fan of the Block.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Used to watch it with your mum.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeap, I started way back twenty one seasons ago with
my mum in bed watching.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
She loved Jamie Jury back in.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
The day, so she wasn't watching watching. Jamie stopped watching
when Scotty took over.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah, he's a great bloke.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Scott if it certainly doesn't need to dance with his
shirt off like Jamie.

Speaker 5 (00:54):
Not in the same basket.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
All right, So now you're in it and you're doing well,
tell us about your experience with it if you were,
if someone's never seen it before, how would you describe
it to someone?

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Oh, look, we've had an awesome time. We're sort of
we've won the budget three weeks out of four weeks,
so we're going very well there.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
That makes the journey there if you've got a target
on your.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Back though, for that reason, yeah, one hundred percent. The
last week they tried to change it up a bit
and you had to guess how much you were going
to spend, and I think that was to make sure
I didn't win it. And I still want it. Mentally
draining too, because it's just constantly in your face, and
it's not whether it's just the build, it's the cameras,
it's everything. Yeah, produce this one.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
What you're tired?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, it's a big turnaround too. You find out you're
on the show, and then you're on the show.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Is that how it works?

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Three weeks we had We've got a business and three children,
so we had to turn our lives upside down in
three weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
What you do just wrong?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Mum and Dad Pisa running the business.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Yeah, no, I've got a couple of good boys who
worked for me and they've taken the reins of the
business while we were away. And then yeah, what do
you do you plan? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, so the kids missed you.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I think one more than the the two we get.
We get a text every single morning, good morning Mum,
good luck today, I love you. And then Sonny will
get one on his phone good morning Dad, good luck,
I love you.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Your favorite child there in the will. Yes, he'll be
the one to We're very lucky.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
But with the with the in laws.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Okay, now do you win?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Do we win? Well, it's games not over yet. Was well,
that was stealth.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
That was good.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
That is good.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Game is not over yet.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Oft time is October.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
That is the win, isn't it. It's all about It's
all about and having your mental health and having money.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Yeah, at the end, look, if we if we can
get the gold case behind us at the back end
of October, there's plenty of people on the gold case
who've got plenty of money and they may be want
a bit of exposure. That's we really love them to
get behind us.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Do you think your age has helped you because you're
kind of the oldest.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
We like to pull it most experience, and it's not kind.
We are we are we.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Actually feel every bit of the eldest. But I think
it helped us with communication, resilience.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I really feel that was our word. I think, isn't it.
Do you think it brought you closer together?

Speaker 4 (03:10):
One hundred percent? Yeah. Look, we work through a lot
on the show, and to come home and work through
sort of problems a bit easier and do what we
did on the block where we get over stuff a
bit quicker, you know.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
I think he just means I get over things.

Speaker 5 (03:27):
Yeah, well, we'll follow you all the way through. Good
