I saw this. This was in the news the last
couple of days, and we've been talking about it, and
I think it's actually a little bit sad. I mean,
people can sort of have a banter about it. That's

I think it's really sad, and that is that Tom Tait,
the mayor, has had to get a body of personal
bodyguard now and he's gone with someone that he trusts,

that has always trained him. So it's his personal trainer, the.

Guy that helped him win a gold medal at the
Masters Games.

Yeah, well, they've known each other for a lot more time.
They've trained together for ages yees lifting. Yeah, but here's
the issue at hand, though, something has to be serious
for like I'm sure the mayor over the years and
all mayors everywhere get complaints and get since social media
came about with comments and all that sort of stuff,
I'm sure they get some angry feedback, but I think

that's probably part of the job. But when it extends
into the fact that you have to hire someone because
you actually have had some threats. I think that that's terrible.

It's a bit scary, and I don't think any stories
that the bulletin has done, there is not anybody within
his inner circle that is saying, oh, this is indulgent.
They're all saying no, the threats are pretty serious.

Yeah. So, and it makes you feel like because Tom's
very reachable. I think he's been one of those mayors
that's not like you can actually he chats to you,
and he talks to He's approachable, he's approachable and feels
a little bit real. I don't feel we've.

Got a pretty good counsel for that.

Everyone they all do, but it's just significantly, it's kind
of there's a bit of ick factor to the fact
that he's had to do it. What's the world coming
to where it's local government and he's getting threats like that.
It's just really not good.

And I don't know how they would like advertise for,
you know, a bodyguard, but you would if you're going
to be with somebody all the time, you would want
it to be someone that you know. But then you're
also asking a really good friend to put their life
on the line for you. I mean, underlying all of
that we all saw what Kevin Costnin did for Whitney Houston.
He took a bullet for us.

Well, it gets awkward when Tom's going to be looking
into his eyes and this comes out.

And all of a sudden, it's a little bit more
awkward than what it started off as.

Funny thing is, Yeah, I can see Thom singing that
song at carry out. He bust that out.

I think they should roll it out together at the
Christmas party.

His bodyguard is like a big duty I'm sure he
could lift up, lift up Tom and carry him out
of a club.
