Petronella Vervoort ist Geschäftsführerin von Wirtschaftsbildung.ch und Dozentin an der ZHAW. Ursprünglich hat sie Wirtschaft und Wirtschaftspädagogik an der HSG studiert. Als sie im Studium Mutter wurde, rieten ihr Professoren, das Studium abzubrechen. Petronella zog es trotz aller Widerstände durch und stieg anschliessend in die Start-up-Welt ein. Sie erzählt offen von gescheiterten Projekten, nicht bestandenen Prüfungen und dass sie im Gymi ein Jahr wiederholen musste. Wie geht man am besten mit Scheitern um?
Heute arbeitet die Ökonomin für den Verein Wirtschaftsbildung.ch, der für Gymnasien und Berufsschulen Wirtschaftssimulationen bereitstellt und die bekannte Wirtschaftswoche durchführt. Doch was ist Wirtschaft überhaupt?
Natürlich reden wir auch über ein in Wirtschaft und Politik zentrales Thema: Vereinbarkeit von Familie und Beruf. Wie gelang Petronella die Vereinbarkeit von Studium, Arbeit und Familie? Mit Chantal Galladé und Amélie Galladé diskutiert sie über die heutige Stellung der Frau in der Arbeitswelt, was sich im Vergleich zu früher verbessert hat und wo Potenzial für Veränderung in Zukunft liegt.
