Monica Amgwerd ist ausgebildete Filmemacherin mit einem Master in Art Education, politisiert durch feministische Fragen des Films sowie soziale und ökologische Probleme des Städtebaus, ist seit 2023 Generalsekretärin der Piratenpartei und leitet deren Kampagne zur Digitalen Integrität. Ihr politischer Fokus ist eine menschenfreundliche Digitalisierung.
Aktuell sammeln die Piraten Unterschriften für ihr Referendum gegen die Einführung einer E-ID, also einer elektronischen Identität – mit dem Ziel, die digitale Integrität zu schützen. Gleichzeitig schreibt sich die Piratenpartei Digitalisierung auf die Fahne. Wie geht das zusammen?
Chantal bringt ein, dass eine Verifizierung in den sozialen Medien sinnvoll sein könnte, damit Verfasser:innen von Hasskommentaren und Drohungen ausfindig gemacht werden können. Dies wäre beispielsweise mit einer Verifizierung möglich. Monica findet: Ja, aber nicht um jeden Preis. Sie zieht einen Vergleich zwischen Datenschutz und Recycling. Und verrät, wie sie ihre Daten schützt und welche Kommunikationsplattformen ihrer Ansicht nach am sichersten sind.
