Speaker 1 (00:07):
Let's do this.
Welcome everybody to anotherepisode of Game of Traffic Show.
I'm your host, mike Sansom.
Tune in to my co-host.
Simply Amazing how you doingtoday.
Everybody give it up for MrAmazing.
On today's Game of Traffic Show, mr Amazing, we're only going
to talk about one thing, and youknow what everybody's talking
about for the past week, mrAmazing.
We only go to one thing and youknow what everybody's talking
about for the past week, mrAmazing.
What is it?
Speaker 2 (00:28):
The release of the
Nintendo Switch 2 and more.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Well, yes, mr Amazing
, the godfather of modern gamers
here representing, justrecently had a showcase of what
the Switch looks like, what theSwitch accessory is.
Man, the prices, the games, mrAmazing, let's start off the
release date.
Everybody knows by now, june5th this year, mr Amazing.
(00:55):
What is the price, mr Amazing?
Tell us.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
So we got two price
points.
Man, we got a bundle pack thatincludes the new Maricor World
Tour.
It's a world tour, right?
The new Maricor World Tour issupposed to drop at a $500 price
point Hefty for Nintendo, butunderstandable because it is a
bundle.
Then you got the pack withoutthe Mario Kart, which is for
$450.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Yes, this is the most
expensive Nintendo console ever
, mr Amazing.
Actually, this is bypassing thecurrent PlayStation 5 and Xbox
consoles right now.
Is it?
Yes, with the ones without thedisc?
How much are those $400.
$400, right?
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:35):
I didn't realize that
.
To be honest with you, that isup there.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yes, mr Amazing,
that's up there, Mr Amazing Mr.
Amazing.
And remember we, mr Mazin, that's up there, mr Mazin, mr
Mazin.
And remember we discussed theprice point.
I told you it was between $400and $450.
Yeah, we both, I think we bothgot the price point Well we were
both fighting in differentrespects.
I think I went $455.
I went $455.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
But you're right.
You went a little lower.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
I think you went $400
.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I think it without
the Maricar.
You got it with the Maricar andthe bundle.
You know what I'm saying?
The bundle and the excuse, andwithout the game.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
yeah, so I think,
plus let's look back.
What eight years ago when, theoriginal when it came out four
years later, give or take.
Yeah.
So, mr Amazing, and NintendoTreehouse gets to the posting on
(02:33):
the chat part what are yousaying?
Yo, lower the price.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Lower the price, it's
not happening it's not
happening because Nintendo wewant to call it a console.
But it's not happening becauseNintendo we want to call it a
console.
But it's also a handheld right.
And then now you could startcomparing to handhelds that are
out now.
The price of those Nintendo isis a bargain compared to your
now handhelds in today's,compared to a Steam, compared to
(02:59):
the um, oseg's Rally and ourand several other ones and
several other ones, and severalother ones, and several other
ones.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
There's so many of
them.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
They all go from like
$500 and up, depending on the
space and somebody whatnot?
Speaker 1 (03:11):
you got Like $700.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah.
So honestly, I know a lot ofpeople don't like the price
point.
I'm not the biggest fan, because this is Nintendo.
We expect them to be a littlebit cheaper, but the market is
what it is.
It's asking for that price,it's geared to that.
So I understand You're going tohave to spend a little bit more
to get what you want.
Like Mike, you said a couple oftimes, you go if you can't
afford it.
It's ain't for you, you get itwhen you can.
(03:34):
So unfortunately it's going tobe one of those situations.
Man, that's exactly what I said.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
I don't think in that
price point when it comes to
systems and their pricing.
When PlayStation came out, Xboxcame out, you said something
like that oh no, it's not Like Isaid, it's not must-have
systems right away, becauseeverybody, you know, didn't get
the system the first time whenit comes out.
I don't know about that.
Playstation might havesomething to say about that.
What Did you get yours thefirst day?
(04:03):
I couldn't find one man.
That's what I'm saying.
You can't find one, can't findone, and let's keep 100.
The last line of most of thesegames says they're not that
great.
Well, yeah, above most of theaverage.
Well, yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Most of the average.
Well, I agree with that, mrAmazer.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
My opinion is that is
the Switch a must-have.
Only seen like two games we'regoing to games later.
That is a must-have If you wantto play the Switch right away.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
But that's all
systems.
But that's all systems though.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Which two?
Can you remember any Xbox gamesyou wanted to get for the
Series X?
Speaker 2 (04:38):
That one released
that day.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Yeah, it was released
that day.
I know it was several years ago.
You can't remember?
Yeah, at least that day.
I mean, I know it was severalyears ago you can't remember, I
don't remember.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
I just guess I wanted
to get in the future for them,
but not.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
But how about
PlayStation?
Speaker 2 (04:50):
PlayStation had a
nice little run.
I remember when it first cameout.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
PlayStation had a
nice little run.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Was Miles Morales?
No Was.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Miles Morales.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Because I think that
was one of them.
I remember right yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
I think, because I
think that was one of them, I
remember right.
Yeah, I think Miles Morales.
Yeah, that was one, I think, with the launch window yeah.
I know Demon's Souls was one ofthe games I wanted to get.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
I got yeah, yeah,
that was one.
There's another one that cameout.
I just can't remember what itwas.
I don't think Miles Moralescame out and launched Astro Bot
was Astro Bot.
That's who.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
That's where I came,
packed in the system.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Yeah, came packed in
the system.
You're right, but Princeton hada nice little launch, though I
remember.
When I say nice, it hadsomething to keep you occupied.
Comparable We'll say comparable, Comparable you're right,
Comparable.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
But, Mr Mason, since
our president was living in
nice-ass America, what hashappened since Mr President
decided to add tariffs to everycountry which is even countries
which are family homelands, orSt Vincent's well, I don't know
what St Vincent's?
Did, he got it too, man, he gotit too man, I think you
mentioned I also mentioned ourisland-only penguins.
(05:58):
Yeah, they got it too, man.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
They're like they
just swim by their business.
You know what I'm saying.
So, unfortunately, first of all, let's say it's fluid because a
couple of days ago they werethe whole world practically was
getting high tires.
Now most countries have a 90day pause outside of China,
where they're having right now atrade war.
So because of a trade war, tires are skyrocketing right now
between the two countries.
(06:25):
So because of this, nintendofell back and decided that
they're not going to release apre-sale date for us, because it
was supposed to be originallyApril 9th, Now we don't know
when April 8th In the UK it wasApril 9th.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
I thought here was
April 9th.
I thought here was April 9th.
I thought it was the States.
No, you could check, but Ibelieve it's.
We'll do a check that for you.
It's April 8th, but it'salready past the rate when this
thing comes, when the podcastcome on, it's already past.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
yeah, it's.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
April 8th and the UK
was the 9th.
Right now, people in the USNorth America or Canada.
We're not getting it.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Yeah, so
unfortunately, due to this
global tariff, we don't knowwhen.
It's not that we're not goingto get it, we just don't know
when.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
And we don't know the
price, we don't know the price.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
And that gets tricky
because they were from.
That's the key point.
We don't know the.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
But let's give my
guess.
My guess is it could go twoways for me and my thing is it
could be 500, for the regularone, 550.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
The basic pair.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Yeah, for the basic
one and the bundle game no.
500 for the basic console, 550for the bundle with Mario.
Or even go higher 500 for thebasic console and $600 for the
Mario one.
That's about.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
The two price points
that you just pictured are the
two ones that I'm looking at aswell too, so I think that's what
we're going to be looking at,but I also know Nintendo's fair,
so I can see where they try notto go that high.
I don't think they'll take thehit for us, but maybe they might
(08:09):
just go about $20, $30 more atthe lowest.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
What's the saying?
I always say yo, the gamingcompanies are not gaming friends
All right, they're not gaming.
They're buying a service.
They're not your friends, Iagree, you know what I'm saying.
So they got to make sure theymake profits.
That not your friends, I agree, you know what I'm saying.
So they gotta make sure to makeprofits.
That's like how you got billsto pay.
That's like you got kids to putin college.
That's like you got carinsurance to pay people in
(08:31):
Nintendo.
They got bills to pay and theygotta make sure they got a
profit and they gotta they gotthe answer to the stockholders,
which I'm one of them I havestocks in Nintendo.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I'm not going to
front, I agree 100% with you.
But I also know Nintendo have.
One of their biggest markets isNorth America, which is us in
Canada.
We're their biggest consumersfor them, so I also can see
where they'd like guys.
We already saw this at a highend point and for us to give it
between $50,000 a price jumpmight be a bit much.
(09:02):
So I can see where they try notto avoid that, or they just
might delay it.
They just might delay it untilit's resolved.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
They're not going to
delay it.
They said they're not going todelay it.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
It's going to come
out June 5th, so you think it's
coming out.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
June 5th regardless.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
We'll see.
We'll see because these thingsare not letting up from what we
see.
They're not letting up fromwhat we see.
They're not letting up.
So we'll see.
It's unfortunate that we're atthis point, but it gets more
exciting because this is thepress and knowing everybody has
an official release date, but usand pre-order dates.
So let's talk about morepositive things, about the
PlayStation and the Nintendo.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Switch.
The Switch, I mean, it's good.
Well, we can talk positiveDuring this show.
It's not really all positive.
I won't say negative, but it'sa mixed bag of the messaging Not
the messaging, but it's a mixedbag of how people feel about it
, especially about the pricingfor not only the Switch, also
the games, mr Amazing.
(09:55):
So, before we go into the gameswhat are the upgrades for the
Nintendo Switch?
Because currently the upgradeswe see, like the storage, which
is a lot bigger, it comes with256 gigabytes, yeah, which can't
be a Spine with a micro SDexpress card that goes up to one
terabyte.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Can you tell us what
the original Switch came out
with?
Switch 1 was a 32?
The original Switch, but whatwas it before, was it?
Speaker 1 (10:16):
32?
I think it was.
I thought it was.
We can look into that.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
I think it's 30.
I think you are correct.
I thought it was.
We can look into that.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
I think it's 30.
I think you are correct.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
I thought it was 32,
the original Switch.
So this is a big jump, thoughbased on what I'm, based on my
assumption it is.
So while I look at that, mike, tell us what else you know.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Oh, what else we know
?
Yeah, as you know, the screen.
A lot of people are hoping forOLED screen.
A lot of people are hoping forOLED screen, but it would have
pushed the price up to probably$100 more.
So basically you have a 1080presolution with the screen.
The screen is a lot larger thanthe previous Nintendo Switch,
which is great to hear.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
So wait, just to
answer your question.
I was correct.
So the original Switch camewith a 32 gigabyte of internal
storage.
The OLED came out with 64gigabytes.
So the original Switch camewith a 32 gigabyte internal
storage.
The OLED came out with 64gigabytes.
So this is more than almosttriple, more than triple
actually.
So this has a lot of memory, which is a good thing for us.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Oh yeah, it most
definitely is a good thing for
us.
Yeah, I mean plus one terabyteexpress card you can use.
Yes, exactly.
So so let me see.
But I mean I wonder how bigthese?
Speaker 2 (11:23):
games are.
I mean, these games are?
That's my question, becauseremember this this generation.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
A lot of these games
are very big.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yeah, and remember
this runs on the FPS 120 when
docked it, so all stuff likethat adds to it too.
So what are we looking at?
Well, how big are these gamesgoing to be?
I mean, how big can these gamesbe?
Because usually cartridgedoesn't hold as much as this,
from my understanding right.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
It depends.
It depends on the type ofcartridge.
They can't make a cartridgethat can hold most games.
Okay, you know what I'm sayingand most likely they're probably
going to have, according toreports.
They'll probably have adownload code with the cartridge
.
You'll fill out, especially thethird-party games to download
the rest of the game.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Gotcha, gotcha,
gotcha.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
But anybody who have
the old micro SDs that they use
for their current Switch willnot work on the new Switch.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
2.
Will not work.
That's right.
I did hear that, unfortunately,I did hear that.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
As for Bag Life, Mr,
Amazing anything you can give
about the Bad Life for theSwitch.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
What was it?
What would you provide to us?
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Mr Amazing, why don't
you provide it for us?
I can do that, but I gotta godeep in my notes, your notes
Also, I tend to say it dependson the game.
So you get between two to sixhours of Bad Life, which is
almost similar to the previous.
Well, the OG Switch.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
So it depends, Like I
said, how many like what games
you're playing, like let's say,we'll say 2K when the games are
supposed to come out.
That might take, you know, acertain amount of bad life on
you.
If they play Call of Duty, which might take a lot of bad
life out of you, you know whatI'm saying.
Even Mario Kart will take a lotof bad life out of the Switch.
This is when it's undocked.
(13:06):
Everybody, you know.
So when you're playing handheldmode, Okay, okay, not bad.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
So what else do we
know, mike?
Man?
I mean, obviously, what theytouched on was you know, we know
about the magnetic joy that wesaw down on the teaser trailer
they provided to us.
We saw more of the mousefunction.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
We'll talk about that
later.
But if we talk about the specs,it also goes to deep learning,
super sampling, so whichprovides upscale visual, improve
the visual experience when youplay these games, give it a more
realistic feel to the games andtry to keep apart.
And with the PlayStation, we'llsay 5 and Xbox Series X, but a
(13:54):
lot of people compare it to aPS4.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Okay, that's not a
bad thing, that's not a bad
thing at all.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
I'd rather be
compared to PS4 Pro, to be
honest, I guess but this isNintendo.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
They don't go for the
big shiny man.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
I mean, like I said,
according to articles, according
to what Nintendo said, theconsole processor was 4K game at
60 frames per second via HDR MI2.0 in TV mode.
Outside of that, it goes up to1440 resolution and up to 120
(14:38):
frames per second.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
But remember the 1440
, it's when it's docketed,
though you can't have that inhandheld mode from my
understanding.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Yeah, but the 60
frames, the 60 frames, okay, the
4K gaming 60 frames per secondvia HDMI 2.0 in TV mode and it
goes up to 140,.
Okay, 1440p, it's 4K, yeah,resolution, Up to 120 frames per
(15:07):
second.
It's the same thing as theplace you said with the AK.
I just got to see what the hellit is.
I got to see it.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
It's the same thing
as the place you said with the
AK.
We'll see.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
The AK was BS.
Of course, it's probably onegame that might run an AK.
Like an indie game.
You might be right about thatactually, you know that can
happen.
So I mean like it's.
I mean it's like ashape-and-hold duty, really
powerful system for what you get.
So I'm not surprised by it.
(15:37):
I mean, a lot of people aredisappointed that it's not OLED,
but it'll cost a whole bunch ofmoney, are disappointed that
it's not OLED, but it'll cost awhole bunch of money.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
OLED is coming.
We are, the OLED is coming.
That'll probably be the nexttwo, two songs from now.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Give or take or a
holiday season.
But the good part, the goodpart about that is that you know
they don't have OLED, but theLCD screen does support HDR.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
Yes, I did see that
as well.
So.
Does support HDR?
Yes, I did see that as well, soand plus, gotta keep costs down
.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Oh yeah, plus like.
I mean, like I said, what elseyou got to say about that?
Speaker 2 (16:14):
I mean I'm okay with
that.
To be honest with you, I'm okaywith all that.
So far, I'm fine witheverything.
You know.
I love my Nintendo, but we'regoing to jump into what the
things we're not I wasn't finewith, but we'll get there.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
We'll get there.
We'll get there.
Oh, mr Amazing.
Very funny dude.
We'll get there, mr Amazing.
Every further, go into furtherthe specs.
Is there anything else you wantto say about the specs, mr
Amazing?
Speaker 2 (16:40):
I think you targeted
everything I would like to say.
To be honest with youregardless of specs the handheld
mode.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
it does provide what
it needs to provide the handheld
mode.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Which is true.
It does provide the handheldmode.
I mean, you're gettingeverything that the first Switch
gave you, and moregraphically-wise.
Now it's just a matter of to me, to be honest with you, to
complement the games.
That's what I want to jump into.
Man, can we get to the games?
Man, can we get into the games?
Okay?
Speaker 1 (17:11):
I'm ready for the
games, man.
Go get to the games, man, let'sget to the games.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
So let's drop the
games that we know.
Obviously, mike, what gamesthat we know?
Speaker 1 (17:19):
You tell me, mr
Amazing, just amazing, we got
Mario Kart.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
World.
That's opening day.
Do you like that, mario Kart?
Excuse me, I said Mario World, mario Kart World.
That's opening day.
This game looks amazing, andwhat I like about this game is
how extensive it is, howdetailed it is, and even bigger
is that you can have up to 24people playing at once, which is
(17:42):
crazy to me.
I love that aspect about it.
And what I like about it forall those who play Mario Kart is
that if you own a Switch, youhave to have to play Mario Kart,
because it means it'simpossible not to play Mario
Kart.
Owning a Switch Is that you knowhow you go to the next level.
The game will automatically doit.
You got to drive to the nextlevel and each course now has
(18:04):
multiple ways of playing thatcourse.
So I can do it one way, you cando it three or four ways, you
can go off course and discoverdifferent ways.
This game is going to beamazing, and one thing I got to
add to it which I should that'smy bad, because I'm so happy to
get into games I forgot tomention is that imagine playing
MadCore World now and chattingaway with your friends to one of
(18:26):
Nintendo's new features, whichis called the chat.
It's a little C button.
The cool thing is, I think,it's free for the first year,
and after that it's going to bea fee.
I don't know if they disclosedwhat the fee is yet, though.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
It's $49 with your
online services.
Okay, so here we go.
So I don't know, is that onethat you ticked off about?
They gave you for your free oneyear.
It's free for one year.
Oh, come on, mr Mace, you gottapay for that.
But what's the?
Speaker 2 (18:52):
difference.
If you pay for it forPlayStation, you do the same
thing with them too.
Everybody else's service yougotta pay for.
That makes it a thing you gottapay for.
You don't get mad about that.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
So okay, if you're
playing Fortnite, I can't chat
with you Fortnite is free.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
No, because it's free
, yes, but you're paying for a
service which is different.
Same thing.
You're playing for thePlayStation service Essential,
whatever tier level that you got, Same thing with the Game Pass.
You still pay for a service.
You don't chat with me.
Yeah, you can Call me onDiscord if you want, go download
Discord, here you go.
You had a free service.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
But this is the but.
Basically it's the same thing,it's the same model.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Well, exactly, but
it's just in the handheld where
it's more.
It's more More functionality, where you could cut out
background sounds, push of abutton.
My whole thing is can I?
I'm sure you can, I'm sure theyprobably touched that, maybe I
just missed it.
As a parental guy, can Icontrol how I want my kids who
(19:52):
they want to talk to, what theycan talk to?
That's something I know.
I'm sure they'll tell themtouchstone, but I gotta you know
, experience that firsthand tosee how that works.
So that's one thing.
I gotta go.
Maricor World was one of thegames I was hype about.
That's day one.
Now the second game I knowyou're hype about this one, mike
man, do you want to touch onthat one?
Go ahead, you go ahead, allright.
(20:13):
So next game that we know forsure that's coming out, that
looks amazing is Mr Donkey KongBanzai, but that doesn't come
out until about a month later.
Donkey Kong Banzai, but thatdoesn't come out until about a
month later.
That one comes out on July 17th.
You'll be pretty much smashingyour way through things.
It's, I guess, one of thelatest Donkey Kongs in a while,
actually, because I haven'tplayed Donkey Kong in a while,
(20:34):
it's just the one he had with.
I forgot the name of that one.
I forgot the name of that partof me for that.
So that game looks good.
Those are two to me dominant, prominent games for the Switch 2
.
Now there are others.
Do you have anything you?
Speaker 1 (20:48):
want to say before we
continue Mike, you can say my
thing is that Whoa, whoa, whoa.
There are other games.
Let's talk about the best gameof all of them.
Go ahead, nintendo 2 WelcomeTour for $10.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
That's one thing I
was disappointed by.
That was what I was verydisappointed by.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Basically, it's a
game that explores the Nintendo
Switch and tells thefunctionality and how to
properly work your NintendoSwitch too, mr Amazing.
Yeah, not as a packing thingthat you should be getting for
free.
It should have been, but theywant to charge you $10 for this.
Yeah, is Nintendo dying orstarving for money?
No, they're not.
So what the hell is this?
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Yeah, when they
pressed I forgot his name one of
Nintendo's CEOs.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Bowser.
This is before the John Bowser.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
John Bowser.
There you go, and this isbefore the official release.
He said the reason that theycharged $10 and they felt it was
the right price point wasbecause it's more than just a
tutorial.
It's more impactful with otherthings that that doesn't usually
come in a tutorial.
I'm not mad at that becausethis is what I was just going to
buy, the two because, especially the price engagement
(21:57):
and you purchase system, youshould, this should be something
that's a built-in free, a freepack that comes with the console
.
To be honest with you, so I'mnot mad at that.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
So I guess when I
touch it, it's a good note, no
matter what we say that again.
No, I am mad at that.
I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
It deserves that.
It deserves that, but we'll see.
We'll see what I mean.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
What he said is
official.
It's more giving a tour of theNintendo Switch.
What's the functionality?
Yes, to help out certain thingsit might ask, you might look
back on it if you have certainquestions about the Switch 2.
If you have any situations thatyou can use as a guide for to
get better understanding of theSwitch 2.
That is true and all thefeatures it has.
$10?
.
Come on, mr Amazing, stop it.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
You're right.
They're going to stop it.
$10 is not going to make orbreak you Nintendo.
That should have been free.
I agree with you on that one.
Actually, that's why it costsso much to come to.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Probably Get the hell
out of there Also.
Okay, split coming out soonComing out for it.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Before you continue,
because my apologies when we
were on the Maricor, as much asI love the game, there's
something we didn't like aboutit because we're talking about
price.
We didn't mention the pricetoday.
Do you want to give us theprice?
Speaker 1 (23:11):
We're going to talk
about the price later.
We're going to talk about theprice later, let's talk about
the price.
Later let's focus on the games.
Well, 27, that's all supposedto be coming out.
Borderlands 4 was coming outwith it.
The Switch, mr Amazing.
There's a couple of third-partygames that are very interesting
.
That's coming out, yep.
So.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Hades is coming out.
Yes, I saw that as well.
Hades 2.
We got that.
We got Street Fighter 6.
That one I'm very curious tosee how that look, because the
last Street Fighter of thislevel I played on a Nintendo
console.
Honestly, I know there havebeen many, but the last one I
think that was worth my time wasthe Street Fighter 2 and the
Super Nintendo.
(23:53):
So that's how far back I'mgoing.
So this is.
I'm very curious to see howStreet Fighter 6 is going to
look.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
On this, Okay,
metroid Prime Beyond.
Yep.
Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
Mr Amazing, post-revealablethis year We'll see what happens
.
Yep, kirby Air Riders Must havegame.
Gotta have that game, not forme, but for somebody who likes.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Kirby hey, one of
your favorite games actually,
Hitman.
Hitman World of Assassinationthat's coming out as well.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
I don't have a
release date for that yet.
I'm good.
I got an Xbox.
I'm good.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
I'm not mad at that.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
The surprise game, I
think is the Dust, or Dust
Bloods.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
I think it was the
other one that was a surprise
game to me.
My surprise game was Elden Ring.
I think I'll see that on there.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
To be honest with you
, I got to see all these games
run on Switch soon.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
That's the one I was
like whoa Elder is coming on the
Switch.
That's to me.
That was my surprise game.
To be honest with you.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Well, if I see Grand
Theft Auto 6, come on, that
would be a surprise.
I'd be shocked.
That would be a surprise.
I'd be shocked.
That would break the internet.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Well, no, what going
to break the internet, if they
get this right, was Project 007.
Woo, give that one a shout out.
Everybody knows how much I love007 games, man, and if Project
007 lives to the hype this couldbe.
This could make noise for me,man, that I look forward to no
(25:19):
release date on that, but thoseare projects that are coming out
.
No pun intended.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
Those are games that
are coming out.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
So I mean there's
several other games that are
coming out NBA 2K Yep man, ithasn't been on it for years.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
And NBA 2K.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
That's been dropping
as well.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
WWE 2K as well,
that's true.
That's on there.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
But I don't think WWE
ever came out for the regular
Switch.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
Oh, I didn't know
that I don't think WE ever came
out for the regular Switch.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
Oh, I didn't know
that.
I don't think it, I don't thinkyou don't know.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Which is weird,
because that could be a Switch.
That could have been a Switchgame.
I don't think, so that couldhave.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
I don't think so.
Why not?
I think it could have.
Actually, I don't think so,don't think so.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
So these are some of
the games that we mentioned and
we also with the games.
Let's say, for example, you hadthe.
You didn't get a chance to playsome of the Zeldas that were
released.
Like me, I got them.
I never got a chance to playthrough them.
I could get them on a Switch 2and upgrade it and add the
upgrade pack I think it'sadditional $10, if I'm not
(26:22):
mistaken and then I could get itwith the upgraded better visual
and get a chance to play it.
You know, nice looking on aSwitch 2 with better graphics,
so that'll work for me.
I mean, I'm only up for 10bucks, I think.
I believe that's what the costis.
So I'm not mad at that and Iwouldn't mind spending that.
So I guess it paid off for menot playing those games yet If
(26:43):
you say so, mr Mason, yeah, Imean I get out of better frame
right now.
Yeah, better frame.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
I mean, like I said,
if you Everybody does it,
playstation does it.
If you have the original game, you want to upgrade it to a $10
upgrade.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
So everybody does it.
I'm not surprised with that.
But, mr Mason, as you saidearlier, go into the prices.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
Yes, yes, yes, this
is the part that hurts.
So now, what's the officialprice of these games?
I don't know, but I do knowwhat the price of Mario Kart is
going to be, and it ain't yourtypical Nintendo price, y'all.
The digital version, from myunderstanding, is Mike.
Go ahead and let them know.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
For what game?
Mario Kart $80.
$80.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
$80.
That's for the digital version.
No, no.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
The physical version
is $80 in the US.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
Correct me if I'm
wrong.
I thought the digital version.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
It's $90 in the UK.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Yeah, okay, hold on,
I might be getting it wrong, you
can correct me, because onething Nintendo did that I hated
and I'm using the word hate, andI don't use that word lightly
here is that Nintendo never gaveus price points.
You had to go to third, you hadto go to different shows to see
what a price point was for theconsole and for other stuff.
(28:05):
You had to go somewhere else tofigure out the price point,
which was really bad onNintendo's end, and they got
killed for that deservingly too.
So the rumor I heard wasdigital version 80 bucks for mad
cart, physical copy 90.
Is that right or is that?
Am I incorrect on that?
Speaker 1 (28:19):
what I've read and
saw.
It was in the UK.
It was 90.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
UK was $90.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
UK was $90.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Yeah, either, or
that's just crazy.
The game shouldn't be breachingthat price point, because
you're leaving an open-footedgame like Grand Theft Auto to be
$100 plus man, and that's goingto happen, and that's.
We talked about it, differentoutlets talked about it, it's
happening, but anyway, we'll getthere when we get there.
So, regardless, $80 price pointin the US for a Maricar is a
(28:48):
hefty price to me, because howdo you convince your mom and dad
?
For those who don't work, yay, mom.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Those who don't work.
If he don't work, he shouldn'tbuy the place.
I mean, I took a switch too.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
No, I'm talking about
, like you know, a kid for
Christmas, a birthday they want.
They want a Maricar too.
2.
You gotta go tell your mom anddad can you ditch out this $80,
well, $85, $88 to $85.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Most likely most
likely they're going to probably
buy the bundle, but thatprobably sell out real quick.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
That's going to be
hard to find.
Most people are not getting thebundle.
Keep it real, that's what makessense.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
but you're not going
to find that though you're not
going to find it, though, no,you said what you said, that
most people are not going to tryto get the bundle.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
No, no, most people
are not going to get the bundle
because it's not going to beavailable?
yeah, but the other one will be,because obviously it's cheaper
to get it with the game than in.
It's cheaper to get the bundle.
So you know I digress, so goodluck with that one.
So the 10 of the pricing Idon't know if it's gonna be hot
(29:51):
or the price of all the games.
We don't know that yet.
I don't know, because if it'smaybe just their first party
games, maybe that's gonna be theprice.
There haven't been too muchclear answers on that yet, but
we'll find out.
We'll find out on that, though.
So I mean why?
What do you think, man?
You want to say something?
Speaker 1 (30:09):
no, I don't have
anything to say about it.
It's, it's Nintendo, andNintendo know they could do that
.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
I don't know if they
know they could do that, because
Nintendo hasn't been talkedabout.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
No, it's amazing, mr
May.
They know why Nintendo don'traise prices, because I know I
can.
That's why I don't agree withthat.
Let's stop the I don't agreewith that.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
I think they went to
what the market is charging for,
so they could make it $70.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Say again, they could
make it $70.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
They could make the
system $70?
.
The games $70?
.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Yeah, the games $70.
Yeah, what game is $80?
You said what's going?
What game is $80?
Speaker 2 (30:46):
I was thinking about
consoles.
You're talking about gamesright now, which is my fault.
I guess you're right.
It could have been $70.
And the console price, butgames are $70 now, like for the
PlayStation 5.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
Yeah, but we're
talking Mario.
Mario costs $80.
You're going to buy it anyway, like you said they go buy it
anyway, I think, I think whenthe Zelda gains $80.
So my thing is Nintendo knowthey can get away with this
price.
They know they can't get awaywith this price.
They know that's why they'redoing it because we can you
might make a point and you'regonna, consumers are gonna eat
(31:19):
it up, and when you're doingfootball, when the running back
scores feed me, that's whatthey're doing so you do think
the same thing would happen ifit was $90 a year?
Speaker 2 (31:27):
huh, you think that
would've been.
In case it was $90, I don'tthink it would've been honest
with you.
I don't think.
I don't think $90 would've beenable to go jump in and buy the
game.
That's a lot.
That's $100.
Put the taxes in there the gameis $90.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Yeah, but the taxes
For taxes $90.
But $90 is about $100.
It's $100 bucks and the problemwith the problem with if you
buy Nintendo games, what doesNintendo games prices go?
They do not go down, they staythe same.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
You're lucky, you get
sales, mostly the first party
games.
They don't go down.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Yeah, they rarely.
If you try to buy a used, you're saving $2.
Yeah, $2.
You're getting a brand new one$2.
You might get lucky and save $5.
Have I bought used Switch games?
Yes, most of them have beenthird-party games.
Yeah, that's been affordable, but the first-party games, hell.
No.
The Godfather game gaveeverybody who buys the system a
(32:26):
kiss on the cheek.
I know you're going to buy it,so don't complain.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
You're going to buy
it?
Yeah, we are.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Well, we are.
Let's stop it, let's stop it.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
We are.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
But we'll see.
We'll see If the game was Imean, like I said, the game was
$100, yes, I see the problem.
I see a problem, yeah, I thinka whole problem in the whole
industry to gain $100.
Canal Grand Theft I was like yo, Thanks, Nintendo, Sony's
saying thanks, Everybody'ssaying thanks.
But see, like Call of Dutycould charge $100 and get away
(32:58):
with it.
Yeah, they would be able toactually.
We'll see.
Hopefully we don't cross thatbridge, though, man.
And the only thing not to gooff the topic Call of Duty.
Get away.
But Call of Duty could actuallysplit the game up to can't pay
50 bucks and the multiplayer 50bucks.
They can't do that.
They can't do that.
And, like I said, people arehappy, yo 2K's happy.
(33:21):
They're like holy stankyNintendo.
And once you see all the salesfor Mario Kart, that's what we
see all the sales for Mario Kart.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
That's why we made
the sales.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
Yo, you don't think.
If Grand Theft Auto said thegame was 80, that's being nice
to say the game is 80.
That's not.
They're being nice, this istrue.
They're being nice, man, theyprobably.
But let's see, let's see.
The only thing is that if Grantthe World did came out and it
was a $100 game, you know I'd behearing the news hard.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
No of course It'd be
all over.
But let's see, let's see whatthe whole tariff thing that's
going on, if this holds up,because I think that might
that's also going to factor in,to be honest with you.
So let's see, we'll find out.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
Sorry, man,
somebody's amazing.
I mean the price.
We did talk about the pricing, but as I said before, the chat,
the chat thing, they charge you.
So I mean.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
But you get a year
free of it though.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
Yes, it was free to
March 31st 2026.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Yeah, Well not really
a year, a couple of months
Close to a year no 2026.
Yeah, almost a year.
This is coming out in June, sonot a full year.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Not a full year, mr
Amazing.
Close enough, though.
So once you don't pay for that, you ain't getting that.
Can you hear me?
It's useless, can you?
Speaker 2 (34:40):
hear me.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
It's useless, but
that I'm okay with you paying
them.
Like I said, every otherservice you got paid, so why not
them?
I'm okay with that.
Actually, everybody's trying toget paid, mr.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
Amazing, rightfully
so.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Aren't we trying to
get paid too?
Yeah, but you're damn skippy.
But, mr Amazing, let's go tocontrollers.
Talk to me about thecontrollers.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Mr Amazing, you're
the one telling Mr Joy-Con man
yeah, so the Joy-Cons, thebuttons are a little bit larger.
We knew that already.
Magnetic strips we knew thatalready.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Yes that's magnetic
strips, yep, which is opposite
of the plastic rails on theoriginal Nintendo Switch.
Yeah, so yeah, which use pinsto Well.
With the magnetic switch, ituses pins to communicate to the
console.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
Yeah, Only thing that
they didn't address and I hope
it's not a problem the biggestproblem with the Joy-Cons was
the drifting.
They didn't address that.
They didn't address that whichI'm a little bit upset about,
because that was a major problemwith the Switch.
So, hopefully with this one wedon't have that problem.
I would assume they learnedfrom the error.
But we'll find out, I guess.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
But I was like, let
me go further more, explain the
Joy-Cons.
The Joy-Cons will be magneticstrips which will communicate to
the console that's in.
If you want to remove it, youhave this button you can press.
So boom, it's out.
So a lot of people worry aboutit's breaking and stuff like
that.
Hopefully it will preventanything happening like that.
(36:08):
It's not 100% guaranteed.
Things break.
So you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Well, that's not a
worry until it happens as long
as it's not breaking day one.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Oh, we'll see.
Mr Amazing also has a built-inopti-sensor with the Joy-Con,
which makes it able to lose forgestures, which makes it able to
use Mr Amazing, the mouse mode.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
Yeah, so it has a
mouse mode for those who like
the features of the mouse.
I know a lot of people like toplay shooters on PC with the
mouse.
It makes it faster, easier tonavigate, to get the shooting
out For most people.
They did feature a game thatshowed that.
I forgot the name of itCivilization, I think it was
called.
Yeah, it looked pretty cool.
They did feature a game thatshowed that though I forgot the
(36:48):
name of it Civilization, I thinkit was called.
Yeah, did you get the name ofthe game that?
It looked pretty cool.
I'm not a mouse person, but Ithink you could do a lot with it
.
I think there's a lot to bedone.
We'll find out when we see moreof it but I think it's a pretty
cool feature.
Me personally, I think it's awaste of time.
I disagree with you.
Go tell PC people how mouse isa waste of time.
(37:09):
They'll laugh at us.
Man, oh shoot, is a NintendoSwitch 2 a PC?
Speaker 1 (37:12):
Try to be everything
man?
Speaker 2 (37:13):
No, it's not.
It's trying to be everything.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
And you try to be
everything what You're the
master of none.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
Okay, we'll see.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
I actually think this
is going to be fun.
Where are you going to?
Why not you have it on a flatsurface of a table or something
On your gaming section in yourhouse.
You have that.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
It's a gimmick that's
not going to last long.
Hey, hey.
Every time the title's heard,we're gimmicking.
How many times has the title'sheard there is just a gimmick.
And guess what, when the Rumblecame out, it's a gimmick is
still around, it's a joy causeit's the same thing.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
Let's keep it 100.
I disagree with 100%.
Let's keep it 100.
The rumble the rumble.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
That's supposed to be
a gimmick.
Who cares?
Who cares?
Are you crazy?
Who cares?
That's a game changer?
Oh, my god, you're playing.
No, hold up.
No, I 100%.
Very few games.
Lose the rumble?
Very few games.
Tell me the game.
Tell me the game.
I can tell you, michael, tellme which game.
Almost 90% of games you playnow are using features.
I can't even.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
I can't even this guy
is my fan, this guy, the only
game that uses that feature tothe best of the ability is Astro
Bot.
Very few games Wrong.
Very few games Wrong.
Okay, when we play.
Okay, let's keep it 100.
Okay, it can be used when weplay Madden.
When somebody hits somebody, attack them real hard.
Do you feel any vibrations?
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Yes, with the hit
stick.
Let's talk about with the hitstick, it's a hit stick.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Yeah, hit the hit
stick, you feel it.
What are you talking about whenyou play wrestling the?
Speaker 2 (38:40):
game is in the shake.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
The game is oh, get
out of here.
90% of games you play all haveRumble in it.
That is not normal.
You're 100% wrong.
If it was gone, you would notmiss it how y'all would, because
you feel it every game you play.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
Dude, if it's such a
Hold on hold, on hold on hold on
Let me ask you a question.
If it's such a In the boxinggame Hold on hold, on hold, on
get in the box.
Every game you mentioned.
All had them in it and theymentioned question if it's what
you're thinking, why did everyconsole adapt it?
Answer me that.
Why did every console adapt it?
It's a copy.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
It's a copycat why is
it still relevant?
Speaker 2 (39:16):
to this day, because
the rumble is one of the biggest
and most important things ingaming.
Now, yes, it is, it is, it is.
And not only did the rumblebecome innovative, and I'll tell
you, do you remember when therumble came out, what game it
was?
Speaker 1 (39:31):
I don't remember
Gando Star Fox.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
I believe it was Star
Fox that came out with the
rumble.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
Wait a minute, but
what system it came out for the
GameCube?
Speaker 2 (39:36):
No, no, no, 64.
I believe it was 64 to Star Fox.
I believe it, and if I'm wrong, please correct me.
Fan base If I'm wrong, pleasecorrect me.
I can double check that too, though, but that was one of the
first times we saw the rumble inthe game, and that was a game
changer, because what did therumble later on develop to?
People used the rumble, nowwhat else did they do?
(39:58):
Little voice changes.
You know voices.
Now the controllers.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
That came on with it
too.
That started.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
That opened the doors
for that.
That opened the doors You'regoing to say yeah, Because the
rumble.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
Now they have a
speaker in a place in the game
site.
Get the hell out of here.
It opened the doors for it.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Yes, it did.
Nobody was thinking aboutputting stuff like that in the
rumble.
So now you get 4D graphics intocertain games.
On the controller, the onlything you can say Come on.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
Even if someone's a
half-back feedback, people
barely use that implement intheir games Half-back feedback
too.
That's not the thing.
Yes, it took a step forwardwith that, but nobody uses that
feature.
Mr Mason, nobody's going to usethis mouse feature.
He can say dude, you are sowrong.
It's getting used, but notNobody's going.
(40:51):
Oh my God, this is a gamechanger Made back in the day.
See, that's the mind of it.
It is still relevant.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
When you're playing a
shooter, forget shooters.
Even when you're playing anadventure game, you get bored.
The cinematic matches with thecontroller.
You feel a little shake in thecontroller.
Even for games like ResidentEvil, the haptic feedback is a
very important feature Rumble, whatever you want to call it.
That's a very important feature.
Speaker 1 (41:16):
Rumble has a few
different things with the games
Stop it.
Speaker 2 (41:18):
Haptic feedback
robots all the same crap,
because they're all derived fromNintendo.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
But the things that
developers barely use.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
They, you're wrong on
that one man.
I think it's one of the mostimportant features of video
games.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
Oh my God, no, it's
not no it's not.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
To me it's internet,
one of the biggest things in
video gaming.
When the internet dropped, andright underneath it is the
rumble.
Those are two top things whenit comes to gaming, Because I
think with those two things itmakes the gameplay it takes to a
different level.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
Is it like voice chat
?
Speaker 2 (41:54):
No, it's just jumping
to play online with your
friends.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
Game changing.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
No, not voice chat.
Connecting with friends online.
Speaker 1 (42:01):
Those are two
innovative things of gaming.
But the thing is, you saidconnecting, yes, you're
connecting, but you don't thinkvoice chat is key?
Speaker 2 (42:09):
No, because I don't
talk to everybody I play with.
I don't need to talk to thatguy who's playing Madden,
calling me an N-word or callingme stuff.
I need to talk to him.
But I like the fact that I canplay other people.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
So internet to me?
Internet when we play, don't wetalk to each other?
That to each other?
What the hell are you talkingabout?
Speaker 2 (42:24):
Because you and I
know each other, but I don't
need to talk to you Yo.
But, like I said, connecting, Ithink, is the important thing.
Speaker 1 (42:29):
Internet, I go with
internet.
I disagree.
If Fadoso like voice chat, I'mnot mad at you.
Speaker 2 (42:34):
You like to talk to
people, play games.
Speaker 1 (42:41):
Watch that
five-year-old beat you and start
cursing you.
You're kicking your butt.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
You still holding
that grudge if I'm not kicking
your butt, I'm okay when I talkto somebody, but I do like the
fact that I can play somebodyonline.
I love that.
To me, those are two biggestfeatures of gaming Normal
feedback and internet.
Those are my two biggestinnovations.
That's just me personally.
Everybody has their own.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
Yeah, Mr Mason, so
they also have another
controllers that are coming outwith the system.
It's amazing.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
Go ahead.
Speaker 1 (43:11):
Touch on that one the
Pro Controller.
The Switch 2 Pro Controller iscoming out.
What's the price of that going?
Speaker 2 (43:18):
to be the first one
was expensive.
Yes, it'd be $79 for that oneAbout the same thing, okay.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
And it will also come
with HD Rumble, the new C
button for game and chat, audiojack and you also mappable back
buttons, okay not bad.
Speaker 2 (43:36):
It's kind of like the
edge and the.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
You know stuff like
that too because I can't play
with the Joy-Con, I'd ratherplay with the Pro Controller.
Okay so, mr Maison.
It also has a.
I've already played with ProController.
Okay so, mr Amazing.
It also has a GameCubecontroller coming out with it
and it's also serving forcertain oh, not serving.
(43:58):
It also works with certaingames on the Switch, but may use
for the GameCube games oh okay, wait, mike, before you continue
.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
I just want to you
know I was correct.
I just want to drop a littlebit of this.
So the Robo came out in 1997.
Oh Jesus, the Robo.
Yeah, the Robo Pack.
It was released in 1997.
I was right, and the first gameutilized it was Star Fox 64.
So I just want to make sure Iwas right.
I'm going to continue.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Oh, let's applaud you
, thank you, let's applaud you,
thank you.
Oh, whoopie too, Thank you, thank you.
Whoopie too, thank you, thankyou.
A feature that barely any bodydeveloper uses, thank you, just
throw it in there.
Oh, just throw this in there.
Oh, get out of here, mr Amazing.
Get out of here, mr Amazing.
You want to touch on backwardscompatibility.
(44:50):
According to Nintendo, 95% ofNintendo's first-party games
will be compatible withNintendo's Switch 2 console.
Which is a great thing, actuallyand only 20% of partner games
of other developers run smoothlyon Nintendo Switch 2, as of now
, as expected, yeah, and thecool thing about some of the
backwards compatible games isyou can play them online.
Speaker 2 (45:07):
So as of now, as
expected, yeah, and the cool
thing about some of thebattle-compatible games is you
can play them online.
So that's going to be coolactually.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
So we'll see how that
works.
If it sucks until you get thebugs out, there's a problem.
Mr Maze, I agree with that Ifyou got third-party games, you
try to play.
What the bleep is going on.
Mr Maze, you want to touch onthat.
Also, another accessory thecameras.
(45:35):
You want to touch on that.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
I saw that.
Yeah, so it's separate, right.
So a little separate thing.
Hey, don't come with it, no, no, it's like a little thing that
gets you connected through a USBport or something where you can
add an external camera and youcan play it and watch your
friends.
Not for me, I'm not into that, but it's a pretty cool feature,
(45:58):
especially for those who want toconnect with their friends.
They can be in the same roomwith them and, as you saw for
Mario Kart, you can put yourface in the game.
You can actually put your bodyin the game and flag Mario Party
where you're one of the avatarsin the game, or characters, or
whatever you want to say.
It's cool in that aspect, notsure.
Do you know the price on that?
I didn't get it.
(46:19):
I think it's $49.
I think okay, $49.
I guess that's about right.
I mean, that's a decent priceso you can put yourself in the
game and use the camera feature.
And I'm pretty sure there willbe different settings where you
can definitely control your kidsand who can use it, who can see
them.
Speaker 1 (46:37):
So not a bad feature
for Nintendo, yeah the Joy-Cons
cost more than the ProControllers $89.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
Damn, that's
expensive.
That's about right, but theJoy-Cons are expensive,
regardless on this generation ofSwitch.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
Look it supposed to
be two controllers at Joy-Con
but, I, think it's the samething.
The controller is larger thanthe previous Switch.
I can't play with those for along period of time.
Yeah, it does hurt your hand.
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
We'll see.
I mean, the LCD is much larger.
So that goes.
What do you mean?
Lcd is much larger?
What do you mean the screen?
The screen and the handheldmode.
Speaker 1 (47:13):
That has nothing to
do with my hands cramping up.
No, no, no.
Speaker 2 (47:16):
I'm just saying,
since being in the LCD is more
doing the controller and makingit more comfortable.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
I look at it more
like when you dock the game.
Speaker 2 (47:24):
Oh, you talk about
that in TV mode.
Speaker 1 (47:26):
Yeah, when you're
playing handheld, it's expected
to be playing like that.
Yeah, we try and play somegames on docked.
I don't see it'd be on Docked.
Yeah, I know it's hard to play2K for a long period of time,
even Mario Kart for a longperiod of time.
I find it hard as a grown adult.
Speaker 2 (47:42):
Yeah, for games like
that, I think I prefer the Game
Pro controller.
What do you call it?
The Pro?
I prefer that.
Speaker 1 (47:52):
All right, Mr Mazin.
Speaker 2 (47:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
Anything else you
want to say about this?
Speaker 2 (47:57):
I want an opinion on
something when you want to, I'll
be done to run and go throughall the specs, pricing and our
likes and dislikes go ahead.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
What's your dislikes
and likes?
Speaker 2 (48:07):
well, more.
Yeah, that's what I was goingto ask you is what do you give?
What do you rate this, what doyou rate this, and is this a day
one for you?
Speaker 1 (48:17):
yeah, I mean I do you
rate this, and is this a day
one for you?
Yeah, I mean I'm hesitating, Idon't think it's a day one.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (48:23):
We'll probably get it
, but is it a day one?
It's like two games I findexcited about Okay.
What do you give it, though,Out of 10?
Speaker 2 (48:30):
We have to play it to
be honest, Yo give me what you
saw.
What do you?
Speaker 1 (48:34):
give it, though, out
of 10?
.
We have to play it, to behonest.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
Yo give me what you
saw, what do?
Speaker 1 (48:39):
you give it what I,
without playing it To be honest,
it's food.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
You can change your
pendulator after you play it,
because it can go higher.
After you play it, it can golower.
Speaker 1 (48:47):
Honestly, I have to
touch it first.
I hate doing that stuff.
Boo yeah, all you want.
I'm not Mr Nintendo, you are MrNintendo.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
It doesn't matter,
you can give us more.
I give score to prices withoutplaying them.
Listen, I'll do this.
Speaker 1 (49:03):
What do I think?
Okay, my thing is like what Ithink.
What I think is the price iswhat I thought it would be.
I thought the $80 games isridiculous.
I think Nintendo Get to the B.
Speaker 2 (49:19):
What do you give it
overall?
I'm giving my opinion we spokeabout.
I want to describe it with 10,.
Michael, can I talk?
Can I talk for a minute, mrBasie Go?
Speaker 1 (49:29):
ahead.
Before I'm rudely interrupted,go ahead.
Yes, I think the system ispriced for a derby price before
the tariffs is now for a Darbyprice before the tariffs has now
interrupted the pricing, especially in the USA.
So basically, I think theJoy-Cons bigger is better.
The Pro Controller cool.
(49:51):
The camera thing, interestingVoice chat.
It's like paying for onlineservice.
I'm not surprised about it.
So I know people are gettingupset about it, but we pay that
for the Xbox and the PlayStationas well.
I don't know, I thought it wascoming free games, but I know
you mentioned the GameCube gamesthat you actually like are
(50:13):
going to be on there Wizard ofthe Soul, calibur and other
GameCube games, sunshine, sunshine and very other Nintendo
games for the GameCube.
So I mean, if I overrate what Isaw, I think I give it a solid
8.5.
Speaker 2 (50:29):
Okay, you give it a
solid 8.5.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
I mean, yeah, that's
a very good score for someone
that doesn't seem too thrilledabout it.
Speaker 2 (50:35):
Actually, what did he
jump through the roof?
No, I think you're giving ittoo big of a high actually.
No.
Speaker 1 (50:41):
I think it's 80 to 50
.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
That's a very high
score.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
If I was like I said,
once we get it, the two games I
had pumped up is Mario Kart, but let me Mario Kart and Donkey
Kong, but they were like fouror five weeks apart and the
thing what I'm saying is let'skeep 100.
You're playing Mario Kart.
You're buying like you have afamily.
You're buying two.
You're buying what?
Another?
Joy-con, a Pro Controller,basically.
(51:06):
If you don't, especially if youdon't get the Mario game with
the bundle, so you're probablyspending $700,000.
Change Understood that?
So I mean, like I said, I justlook at it.
As for the showcase and what Isaw 8.5.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
That's a very high
score.
I didn't expect that from you,Well you know what I'm saying.
I'm a different breed.
Well, unlike you, I'm giving ita 7.
I'm going lower, guys.
I'm going lower because theSwitch looks too much like the
Switch.
2.
It looks too much like theSwitch.
I expect a little bit differenthardware, every hardware and
upgrade system.
Speaker 1 (51:40):
But what did she want
to look like, Mr Amazing?
Speaker 2 (51:42):
I wanted to look more
modern.
I look like the exact samething, to be honest with you,
with a little bit biggercontroller.
I wanted to be a little bitmore modern.
It didn't look as modern as Ithought.
Aesthetically it was notappeasing to me.
It looks like a biggerkickstand, a bigger little
button.
The screen got a little bigger.
These are all things you couldhave done in the prime when you
(52:03):
dropped the OLED to me.
So nothing to me aestheticallymade me go whoa, this thing
jumped off the roof for me.
That's just my opinionAesthetically, you know that's
just me.
Aesthetically, now we get intothe games.
You know that's just me.
Aesthetically, now we get intothe games.
Like you, I didn't see enoughgames to make me jump off the
roof, but I saw enough to get meexcited about what's coming in
the future.
So I'm okay with that.
(52:24):
The features about the chat Ithink that's pretty cool.
I thought they needed liketheir version of Discord.
I do appreciate that.
I wish I saw more of like a, afirst-person game, that Like a
new game that we've never seenbefore.
I need to see something likethat, like, for example.
(52:46):
What I mean by that is I needto see a game like a Uncharted
Nintendo version of a game likethat.
Something like that, to me, iswhat.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
But wouldn't Blood
Dust?
Speaker 2 (52:56):
Yeah, you can say
that.
What is the multiplayer?
Speaker 1 (52:59):
game.
Speaker 2 (53:00):
Yeah, but I need to
see something like that for me
to be like yeah, wow, it soundslike it's going in a different
direction, but don't have thosetype of games like Elder Ring
and Blood Dust.
Speaker 1 (53:10):
I'm checking the top.
I'm trying to remember thetitle top of my head Elden Ring
games, those type of games, hitman, those type of games on
the system those are cool to see.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
On there is it
showing?
more of a dope those, yeah, andI think those are cool to see on
there that's going to be, andthose are definitely going to be
cool to see on that, and that'swhy I'm still sticking out a 7,
because I'm talking aboutaesthetically.
I'm not singling out one's ass,I'm just talking about overall,
everything, overall, I give ita seven, which is still a high
score, and this is fluid.
(53:39):
This could change when thesystem comes back.
I'm like yo, I was wrong, I'mjumping this to a nine, but
right now, eight and a half.
You want me eight and a half?
I'm going to go with seven.
And you know I love my Nintendoand and the fact that you paid
for a tutorial for $10 alsoturned me off.
So that's why the price pointdropped and the fact that
Nintendo did not mention theirpricing and all that stuff, I
(54:00):
had to go to third parties tofigure out what a price point on
.
So you lost a lot of points forme because of that little stuff
like that.
So that's why you're at a 7.
But hey, june comes, I play it.
I see other features that Ilike.
That could become a 9 or 10 fornow, but right now you guys are
at a 7 with me until we seemore.
But that's still the highestscore in my book, though.
(54:21):
That's why I was surprised thatyou gave it an 8.5.
To be honest with you, you weredown on a lot of things.
I was surprised.
Speaker 1 (54:29):
I wasn't down, like I
said, it was just I'm overly
excited.
I saw what I saw and I gave myhonest opinion.
What I saw, do I think it's aday, one purchase?
It's only two games I saw, butthere's two games I saw that I
wanted on launch day.
But that's typical when mostsystems are launched.
It may be like two or threegames.
(54:49):
They're actually interested andprobably with, we'll say,
launch window, six months.
You'll probably see games lateron you might be interested in.
And, like I said, it'sinteresting for me because the
Nintendo Switch.
I like this system.
It was my favorite system, alot better than the Nintendo Wii
U.
But the Nintendo Switch is avery good system and it sold
(55:13):
what?
150 million plus, which itwon't break the PlayStation 2
record.
We don't know that yet.
Speaker 2 (55:21):
We won't break it.
We don't know that yet.
Speaker 1 (55:23):
We won't break it.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
Because, especially
without being able to get those
other systems Switch 2, thatsystem's still going to be
selling.
We don't know that yet, but MrAmazing.
Speaker 1 (55:32):
Yes, before we end
the show, you think we should
care About what that?
The tennis course is coming out.
Speaker 2 (55:42):
I'm just joking about
that, of course that's not even
a question.
Speaker 1 (55:48):
Let me get serious.
Do you think we should careabout the pricing of the system
and the game, absolutely, absolutely the pricing.
Like I said, it's going to seta precedent for Rockstar and
other first-party games, for, whether it's PlayStation or Xbox
, they're freaking.
This is a first-party game andit's a premium game and you just
pay $80 to $90 for it.
(56:09):
Yeah, and will this lead to avideo game crash in the coming
years?
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Okay, so just a
couple parts.
So the pricing is very, veryimportant, not just because of
the games, because of what'sgoing on in the world right now.
So I think the pricing it'svery important, to be honest
with you.
So, yeah, I think pricing isimportant, from the price of the
console to the price of thegames and what this can lead to.
So, to answer your question, can, to answer your question,
can this lead to a video gamecrash?
(56:35):
Do you think I care?
I don't think so.
I don't think so, because aslong as demand is there, people
are going to consume it.
It's just how it is.
Even at that $80.9 price thatwe hate, people are still going
to buy it because that's theirfavorite games.
I mean, if the game went tolike $120, then I would be like
yeah, mike and Green Gamecrashed.
But I think, putting up anextra $10, nintendo could do it
(56:55):
in a strategic way and be likewell, you know, mario doesn't
come out every 10, 12 years.
Whatever, it is Not 10, 12years, boy, it'll come out every
few years.
Speaker 1 (57:03):
So the extra thing
Mario Kart sold, like over the
last one sold, I think, over 65million or 75 million copies.
Speaker 2 (57:14):
Exactly so.
That's their whole thing islike we're going to have a game.
This old AmeriCorps can lastalmost 10 years and people play
it continuously, so we can getaway with that price point, and
I think they can actually.
What did I say?
Speaker 1 (57:26):
They can, they can.
They pay the price because theycan they can, and I agree with
you there.
Speaker 2 (57:31):
So I don't think the
price point is okay.
But you can't do it for everygame, so don't think you can
make your little.
How much is Elden Ring going tocost?
Not much, because it's not new.
It's not a new game.
It's not going to be that much.
I don't think it's going to bethat much.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
Yeah, you got to go
with 70.
Speaker 2 (57:48):
No, I think it's
going to be 60.
Go 70.
Speaker 1 (57:52):
No no.
Speaker 2 (57:52):
You know you're right
, but it's not a brand new game,
brand new game to switch.
To switch it, it's going to be60.
And if it's more than 60, I'llbe shocked.
But if it went to 70, Iunderstand, but I think it's
going to be a 60.
I understand, I understand.
Speaker 1 (58:05):
It's going to be 60.
It's going to be 70, due to theamount of content.
So I think gamers has alwayscomplained about what.
(58:26):
Are gamers always complainingabout the hours.
Speaker 2 (58:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (58:29):
You know what I'm
saying.
How come I'm paying $70 for agame that's only 10 hours?
You know what I'm saying?
And I'm paying and I can buythis other game, and some game
company's saying, well, whydon't I charge you 70 bucks, why
don't I give you 80 hours ofcontent?
It should be more.
Speaker 2 (58:46):
Agreed.
Speaker 1 (58:48):
It's going to be a
conjunction.
What's going to happen?
Speaker 2 (58:52):
as you're a quagmire,
I agree, I understand that too.
Speaker 1 (58:56):
I'm going to wrap it
up.
This time, people, we don'thave a game, no trail of the
week, no shout of the week.
But yo hit us up.
Let us know what you think ofNintendo Switch.
Speaker 2 (59:10):
I don't want to give
a shout out, man, let's give a
quick shout out.
Speaker 1 (59:13):
We can't give a shout
out.
We can't give no shout-out.
We can't give a quick shout-out.
We can't give a shout-out.
We can't give a shout-out everyshow.
Speaker 2 (59:17):
We can't give a
shout-out at the Sony show, the
Xbox show.
Why can't we give a shout-outhere?
What shout-out are we givingdown, Mr Mason?
It's an easy one.
It's an easy one.
Shout-out to the.
Speaker 1 (59:30):
Florida for winning
the championship team.
That was easy.
I'm really going to do that.
I'll say look at that CarmeloAnthony.
Tell everybody who's CarmeloAnthony first.
Speaker 2 (59:37):
Hey, he was an NBA
player, basketball retired,
played on several teams.
But his glorious days.
Some will say Denver, but I'mgoing to say New York.
There we go.
Speaker 1 (59:45):
Keep it simple.
I will say New York and theNuggets, yeah, a little bit New
Yorker.
And everybody, tell Mr Smith tocome prepared.
Mr Smith is always prepared.
Baby, oh my God, alwaysprepared.
All right, this is the Game ofTrappers.
Show Like subscribe, we'll beback Later, later, y'all.
(01:00:37):
Outro Music.
