Speaker 1 (00:10):
All right, you guys, it's another Sunday and we're live
and Clint is joining us today, so we're gonna give
it a minute or two for you guys to jump
on here. Clint Scott got an unboxing but he's got
a kickstart he wants to go through.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
With us, so I thought that would be fun to
do for this week's show.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Plus we talked about you all the time, but in
a good way, so.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
He's he's able to make it here with us. So
it's very much gonna be a good thing, you guys.
So for those of you on the podcast listening again,
you're always welcome to join us and every Sunday at
four pm Central, borring an emergency or something, and yeah,
(00:56):
well Charles welcome. Yes we are goes Kigan.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
But somebody has to fill that gap of weirdness, correct,
So it's.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Weird not being over my desk.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Ash is over here now because we're gonna let Clinton.
Clint's gonna use her desk to show you his kickstarters.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
We need to get a longer coord for that.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
What we need is a camera.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
I'd like to get like Chris has and then put
it up there by the light on this pole that.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
I have, so it goes down.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
And then you could do an overhead, which would be perfect,
because that's that's what we need.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Yeah, but we're just not professional yet. So yeah, we'll try.
All right, Clinton, Clint's all sure. So on the desk here,
Clinton has been what you're doing. We're gonna let Clint
(01:58):
do some talking. You guys, generally Clinton people hop in
within the first twenty minutes, but go for it. He's
been waiting a couple of years for this one.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, literally, so because yeah, the kickstarter itself closed three
years one month ago and then they estimated delivery for
twenty twenty three, so oh wait already yeah no, yeah
it is oh wait just a little late, just a
little late. Yeah, not like anything has happened between now
and then.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
So.
Speaker 5 (02:32):
Pretty much.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Yes, well, I you know, at this point his kickstarter goes.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
The fact that we got it is probably the plus.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
The way things were going with all the shipping and
all that.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yeah, oh, I mean those Clint here, he's gonna show
you his unboxing.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
That is it's the return of Clinton.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
It is he is back, man, So we're gonna let
Clint finishes.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
H what's the name of this Clinton. So this is Leviathan's.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
They call it is a Great War and that was
It's an old basically a re release or upgrade or
whatever you want to call of the old Fast. The
Leviathan's game come out a little after Battle Tech originally
came out from Fasta. Obviously, Catalyst tends to acquire all
the fastest properties.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
They don't. Yeah, they tend to.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Well, they do a pretty good job updating, and I'm
quite happy innature wise and rule updates and lore and everything.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
So this one was just coming.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Now if they ever just do Crimsons guys, but that
will probably never happen, so too bad. Yeah, some of
those you know, it's basically World War One esque lack
of better term. This would be kind of more diesel
punk than it would be steampunk, even though technically it
(03:47):
doesn't use diesel. There's just no steam power in these.
So there's still giant airships, no no blimp snow Zeppelin type.
These are just big metal behemos that sail through the guys.
Right now, they did just like a core Force, which
I did get some of that, and then you could
(04:07):
get the rule book and everything. So I'll just quick
like you're gonna show you some of the stuff in
the rule book, Like here's the Russian ships that they see,
and you can buy a fleet box.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
There's the picture that's gonna show you. Greg.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Oh, okay, they're cold, kind of Yeah, it's it's some
sort of special fuel. That's why I say it's more
diesel punk than anything else. So I'll go to the
fluffy add ons and the kickstarter stuff.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
First. He bought a box over here that's on the
table behind us. I'll do the starter box.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
So here's the plane packs, these little aircraft tokens that
you've been used to support your ships.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Well, yeah, I think they're kind of modified uh VI
wing planes and stuff.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Not exactly.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
The game doesn't go a whole lot of detail into
the planes themselves other than you can use them for support.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
So it's kind of cool.
Speaker 5 (05:09):
So this is just like battle Tech.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
It is similar.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Yeah, it's quite a few plan Yeah that you get
quite a bit with the plane set, which is good
because I think the plane set is.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Twenty dollars if you were to buy it or security security.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
It can be used as aggressors or defensive Nice game
itself will use D twelve, so this is kind of interesting.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Not your any games. Just use D twelve.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
The colors all represent differently for damage and everything, and
it'll show you the cards.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Because the King starter, I did go ahead and opt
to get all the.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Ship cards, so I have all the cards or all
the forces, and this is one will probably be the
easiest to see or try to see. You'll notice the
weapons on the sides of everything. There's gonna be color
markers that indicates which.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Dice you roll, how many dice you roll.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Then whenever damage is hit on a location, sides or whatever,
you will at the six and it tells you that location.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
And then when that location is.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Hit you circle it at the beginning. And then at
the end phase or the clean up phases they call it,
you would mark that location is destroyed.
Speaker 6 (06:16):
Are these cards also take a D They are already laminated.
Basically you can use dry ras on them. It's all
up on one of them.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Yeah, there's a lot. They're good size, I mean compared
to my hand. They're good sized cards.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
So the big, the big cards you see here, those
are the type four of those are your battleships. The
rest of these are all the smaller ships. So because
the battleships have extra damage slots. Oh wow, okay, it
looks like that's your weapon fire directions and everything. You
we're going to a lot of the technical them seeing
the ships.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
But still that's cool though, because everything is on a card.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Yeah, every one card, so you at most you're going
to be playing four ships.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
You'll have four cards. That's it.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
And unless you use like the Admiral cards, which are
just extra effects that you can use in game, that's
obviously later. And then any planes if you're using those.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Oh wow. Each one has its own color blue, red, yellow, red,
and black, and the numbers on the dice vary.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Yeah, so this says you're green. One is a D four. Yeah,
blue is D six, I love, yellow is eight, red
as ten, and twelve is blacklack, and then you have
a D six as well.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Yeah, the D six is just a determined hit location. Yeah,
that's these all these cool So I'm liking how.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
This lays out.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
This is why I say it's similar to the way
Christas Sky's played in the old game, where you would
have a location that you would hit on the plane
that you would mark off that location in whatever boxes
it covered.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
German Like critical effects or anything.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Yeah, so so you got and you got cards for
the British. Yeah, I got cards with everybody that's currently available, right,
So I have all the fleet cards, but I don't
have all the fleet boxes. There's about two. I don't
have British or an Italian fleet box yet at the
three top one. But I've got the cards. Yeah, it's
(08:21):
good where we could sell the man if we wanted
to see how a certain nation faired.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
Welcome Tlomachus.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, hello Tamachas, Greetings back, sir. So Yeah, his in
his box. He has several boxes. Yeah, he wanted to
show you that smaller stuff up here.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Map wise, I'm not gonna do all the maps, but
it's still a hex spread map based, just like battle
Tech is. That's your kick, that's your starter map, and
I do believe the starter box will probably have one
in it too, But so I may have a duplicate
of that map.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
Maps can be if their dupe can as song say, look, okay,
I just put them together.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Well and another mappa multiple maps. So this was they
do have these in anea frame map.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
I just wanted the paper maps. I think they're fine.
This one does come with a ton of maps, so
you've got a lot of options, and terrain can't play
into effect.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
You can collide with a mountain.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
That's what I say in the one we'll give you
a version of One map says light up, the other
says heavy off.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Ye. So so it's it's and.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
When you're considering that these ships are giant and they
turn in the middle, and sometimes you have to move
forward to or three hexes before you can turn, you
might be in trouble.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
Are you're gonna be like makes the glory? It's hard
fly off the map or yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:52):
I was thinking, yeah, like we sailed off the map,
ye remember the first time.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah, sales agory, so be careful, but we can't self
the table and we get because.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
The wind did that.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Yeah, that that went element was brutal. Yeah, and you
can collide. There's rules for colliding and everything. Oh and
you have clouds too, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Cover around. I think they really did a good job
kind of pie together.
Speaker 5 (10:23):
This looks like it's pretty much well.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
Yeah, tells you how to actually do it.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
It's gonna be interesting.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Starter box comes with two ships of French and two
German ships.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
I decided to get the army fleet boxes as well.
So I do have some goods.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
But we'll start with the French fleet. And yeah, the
artwork is artwork is gorgeous.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Show that in a minute. There you go.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
So here is I get in the camera. Here's your
French fleet. So as you get your three types of ships.
You got your you know, your battleships, your cruisers, your destroyers,
you for it. Each each army has basically four ships,
plus possibly a unique ship. I have the one Russian
unique ship, which is actually just a fancy pink job.
(11:13):
Here's your Russian fleet.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
I'm all for that.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Those are bigger, Yeah, the Russians are bigger. Well not
as big as the German.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
No, not as big as noticeably bigger.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Yeah, they're good science because I mean, battleships are gonna
be battleships no matter why. But and then your German
fleet box here, And it's a little hard to see,
but I'll when we open the starter box, I'll have
something that we can actually show with that aren't covered
by the glossy.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
Yeah book is it like a timeline in here too
is when it started for those of us in the
kingstarter like there is the well I have the Russian
ship that big starter.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Well, yes is my goal.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Yeah, it's gonna have a different, different crew car, a
different stat but it also only has two hackspaces.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
And you'll see this as we open it.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
There's a little tail that goes on the base that
is the stats for the ship. So it gives you movement,
your armor, your your turn radius. All that stuff is
on the on that little marker so you can see
it while it's on the table. And then the starter box.
All right, so we're gonna open the starter box. The
starter box, so this is what comes, This is what
(12:35):
you would buy, and this just kind of gives you
a quick overview. Got a nice safe map to not
hit things with. It looks like two maps and there
are double it could be double sided. Now there's also
the torpedoes that we didn't talk about. I just was
going to touch base on that. You fire them before
(12:55):
you move. Really yep, So yeah, it seems interesting reading
through the game mechanic on that now I have not seen.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Catalyst has interesting. They do kind of like this. It
goes into each faction.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
German, Russian, British, Italian and their history of it.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
Basically that is there's a lot to it.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
I think as we get more fleet boxes, more fleets out.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
And it tells you about each of the ships. Yep,
new box doesn't like to open. Yeah, it's that concealed theiry.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
So of course the everybody's favorite do not Eat packet
and Brian World War two. Hey, this so quick start
rule book. I mean it's just like rule book here
those that can read it that you just just your
(13:54):
overview of play. It's pretty straightforward. It's simple. I'm with
some nuanced punch out tokens for clouds. So these look
familiar from Alpha Strike, very similar situation there. Also, you've
got the two dimensional ship tokens. If you wanted to
just do so, you can two dimensional ship would uh technically,
(14:17):
I would say yes. The problem is the ship's stats
are going to be identical, and you generally aren't going
to have more of a room for four each player.
The map is gonna be taken up, so I suppose
you could only take a couple.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
I think it's four different so you're right, it is
a double sided map.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
It's just the books showing four different maps.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Oh yeah, there's more than four, though you can't quite
see the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
So here's our starter bocks map, and this I believe
is the same as the big start with. Now you've
got your flat you know, kind of this. It almost
worked for Wings of Glory too.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
It's not as cool, but was it a different train
and everything. It wouldn't be bad. Just ignore the hexes
if you wanted to.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
You could literally take all the tokens that you got
and cut the paper ones out of the book.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
You could, Now, that's interesting what you got. They included
dry erase.
Speaker 5 (15:12):
Markers nice, so more like, uh.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Yeah, I bet you anything.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
They're gonna be like bulky ones least hit something.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Yeah, alright, So now look at the ships, because these
ships we can They said, these are duplicates.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
Everything wants to be seeing there we go. Hey, at
least you know it was package.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Give your idea, your bases for the ships. Take there
are yeah, and you have to ye.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
In a lot of.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Cases bons ships require you to move one or two
hexes forward before you turn.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
The whole crew is all here. Yep.
Speaker 5 (15:54):
Pretty much other than Kegan, but I think he's still watching.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
He's working, you know. Yeah, yeah, Charles, it's interesting looking.
So they don't give you D six. I kind of wonder.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
It's like everyone has a nobody has D six, is
why wouldn't.
Speaker 5 (16:10):
They give you a D six?
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Not like even a three year old had. Let's get
a ship out here is the German. He's a cruiser.
That's a German cruiser.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
I believe look at that, Charles, there's no battleships in
the starter box.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
It's it's cruisers. I believe it's just cruisers and frigates.
Go back towards the Clint vegl Oh looking model.
Speaker 7 (16:38):
Yeah, and they're prepainted. Yeah, what's see?
Speaker 3 (16:45):
Pretty nice? And then your little German little ones, that
German destroyer, it might be that pretty good. You can
see German destroyer.
Speaker 5 (16:57):
So are they gonna be painted differently?
Speaker 2 (16:59):
So you know, like yeah, so those those are the
German fleets.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
Great German okay, so they're like a great.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
Okay yeah, and like the Russians are light blue, so okay,
so you could tell it's not gonna uh.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
I find it interesting that the French all have to
look like little sharks dolphins, not sharks dolphins. They are,
they're very good painting.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
The detail work is beautiful. I'm going to compare it
to the box.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
Airship.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Yeah, basically so this is yeah, I mean comparatively, that's ship.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
So these these two, I believe are the same.
Speaker 5 (17:48):
Looks like you have three of the small little ones
if we were.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
I was just doing a quick comparison of these two
being the same because nice clear from the box.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Yeah, but that's still it gives you quite a bit
in the starter box too. Yeah, they will have you.
Speaker 5 (18:06):
Jeffy would not be liking this game.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
However, Hex you might like it because it is a
Hex game that you might.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
I mean the maps.
Speaker 5 (18:13):
Oh, it's one that has a rastaurant.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
It's a little eraser. I see if it's a decent quality. Yeah,
little dry erase with a little eraser. That's not say
that it comes with two of them. So I mean
it's pretty much everything you need to play.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
See if there's a cool work in this start book too,
And it's the same.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
I got right about middle is where this was.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Yeah, this is gonna be Yeah, this is exactly the
same as the ones in the in that book.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
This just goes into more details. Yeah, I got that
because I wanted the lore in the history.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
It is cool because I mean it looks like it
started at eighteen eighties or seventy eight and it goes
to nineteen fourteen.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Yep, there's a little better image of what the planes
are supposed to be like there right now.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Are no like plane plane.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Yeah, there's no real three dimensional planes, not that that
probably won't happen.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Are they? What are they?
Speaker 2 (19:12):
Yeah, they're just tokens. That the one heck size token.
And it does break down the ships, but it depends
on off well German destroyer.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Oh yeah, it got back, but a lot of people
who funded it, here we go. It's good artwork. Kind
of see ships down. Yeah, I gotta I know it's
not the best camera.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Well it's it's shiny. Yeah, it's shiny, but kind of
gives you that cool idea. I think it'd be fun
to throw.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
That's kind of cool looking.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Yeah, a little bit of a map. I don't know
if this map is even in that book. It might
be in the beginning, but no, I didn't think I
did see that the that. The interesting thing is, well
it does not right now. You're only getting German, French, Russian,
Italian fleets. You will have Spain, you are Britain, You'll
(20:14):
have Spain, You'll have the Ottoman Empire, the footstool people, Scandinavia,
United States will will eventually have a fleet, and there
is the Austria Austria Hungarian Alliance, which is going to
be kind of its own force. So it looks like
(20:35):
maybe a couple of mercenary type forces. Well you might
even have pirates that the original game did have something
to that degree. But part of it, at least from
the lower right now, is everything is so expensive to
build that only the nations could actually.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
It is okay, cool, it's small. That one is a
little bit bigger than what this one is. But yeah,
there's probably great. There's what I mean by the little
tail fins to the bottom of the bases. Oh yeah,
that's nice.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
So yeah, right there. Then you've got quick movement. You'll
tell you how many it moves, how many spaces that
you turn.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
You've got a glass out of it, how many it does?
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Tell you the number of slots it has, which is
where the damage is that. I think the overall total
number of slots doesn't really matter as much.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
It's got a cop scenarios in here.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Yeah, there should be more than a couple, So just
catch up on a comments for a second. Brian from
World World War two is prepainted. That's a selling point
for someone. And then it smells like weird war. Oh
yeah it is, but I think if you look at it, leviathans,
it is World War one weird war, but still World
(21:51):
War one weird yeah, but still right up that alley.
It's yeah, for sure, it's gonna be interesting in the
start to maybe have to get a starter battle in
just to see. Although I might cramp that and just
use the Russians instead of the French. But I do
(22:13):
want to get as these come out, as they become
available in the stores, which it sounds like maybe Christmas
we're gonna start seeing the actual store release for them.
I would like to get an Italian fleet to a British fleet,
just basically have the fleet boxes so that we can see.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
I'm going to open the Russians. Hold on again, I
get the Russian box, and I really want to know.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
What Yeah, because it was one that didn't come and
after opening those little ships in the starter box, they're
so cool.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Be careful too, no, I still remember it's just what
I used to open packages with.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
It's barely sharp enough just so price point wise, I
do believe the starter box is gonna be comparable with
Catalyst stuff about sixty about sixty sixty to eighty dependent.
It seems like while there's is right at sixty box
and thirty thirty five, well.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
There's trash can right next to it. Yeah, okay, cold
that works.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
But that's the thing like with Battle battle Tech Gothic,
it's gonna be one hundred dollars for the starter bos
battle Tech.
Speaker 5 (23:27):
There he is built appealing two dozen eggs. Oh, I
feel sorry for Crystal.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
I mean, could be worse, I guess. Oh, I don't
know moret No, you don't have to see if I
can do this without clare. The art on the back
of the box is unique to each that's cool, so
we can can kind of see the art. So you
can take it out of the box and put the
box on the shelf. Yeah, frame you could use it
(23:56):
as a display. Yeah damn, that's cool. Now the Russian
so you got your your Finn tokens, you got your
torpedo tokens, and then your regular you know, movement token
stuff like that. Oh hey, then mind they actually included.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
Nice They actually a card type of the you that
you get ship. I might frame that or something that's
kind of cool.
Speaker 5 (24:28):
That's what like a five by eight probably, yeah, roughly, so.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Yeah, those are pretty easy to come by.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
So now that we can see what one of the
admiral cards do, it is just they just boost the game,
like this one's is once for game you may.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Repair a slot that was destroyed that turn. So just
the different admiral cards not unscommon for a lot of games.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
They also do include the two dimensional hip tokens instead.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
If you don't want to use three D why, I
don't know.
Speaker 5 (24:57):
Well, I mean, say you want to the big ship.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
Yeah, you don't get to the big ones, you know,
you get one that's a.
Speaker 5 (25:06):
Decent size card.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
Well, see this is for the battleship.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
So the reason this is bigger than these is because
you've got these extra slots on the side. Well, each
ship has your your your starboard report, you know all
that these have front and rear and then each one
of those is so it can't really zume it. But
(25:32):
you'll have some cards that are blank, like this one
here that my thumb is on says.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Steering gear which limits your movement.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Uh. There are some weapons like the one my thumb
is on here. You'll notice there's two colors. There's a
blue and a green in a circle, so those are
the dice you roll that. This one is divided by
a line, so depending on the game effect you're doing,
you either roll the blue or the green. Some of
these will have multiples, like the torpedo here on this one.
(26:02):
The rules three red dice.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
That can't be good. No red dice. Yeah, let's see this.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Gigan says he's interested once the Americans. The Americans should
be pretty cool. Actually he wants big ships only because
there is the Russian fleet.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
That I'm like that light gray dark. Actually, yeah, and
I'll take them and take the battleship out. Ye take
it thin.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Wow, that's that's pretty. Is not small, I mean, but
that's your your Russian battleship probably and a half inches,
I'm gonna guess. I mean, it's almost the length of
my whole hand. So and it's you know it uses
it's four oh my gosh, four hecks, four hecks. And
(27:04):
you're turning based on the center. Here, you're rotating based
off this. If you've got to move three squares and
then turn, you're gonna be.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
I mean gonna risk you don't turn fast. They're not.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
They read the description saying the Germans are even slower.
It's like, oh my god, who Yeah, because the Germans
said were the heavier. Yeah, they're they kind of they
have no speed.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
So everything's little guns on the top move. Do they nice?
Speaker 4 (27:41):
That's awesome. I don't know about those ones, but the
others fronting the river moves. That is kind of guns here.
He's actually thatsive, I do.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
I like the color scheme on it.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
Yeah, you really seem to be impressed with the game.
I never had on with ships.
Speaker 5 (28:01):
I like playing the ship.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
I think this is gonna be a lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
I'll say from what little I've read, because I was
looking more at the pages, it's gonna play similar to
Wings of Glory, Sell of Glory. Yeah, for the most part. Yeah,
it's gonna be I do like that ar until you
get to the damage.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
I think the damage part it's gonna be more like
Battle Tech. Yeah, and it should be a little more
like BattleTech considering.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
I do like that little postcard that they.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Then you can get. That's cool. Sounds like Ashley is
interested enough to soon.
Speaker 5 (28:44):
We have too many games you'd have.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
To see, and I've had to really tear down. So
I'm keeping certain certain games just because I've either got
a lot for it already, or it's something I know
will come back to, like World of Tanks Slash Tanks. Yeah,
you know, I mean Macquarry Battle technright here is all
straight war. Yeah, we know we're gonna play now. This
(29:07):
one really was because I backed so much. This is
why I'm hanging on to it. But you know, there's
that artwork.
Speaker 5 (29:13):
There's the artwork, and then there's the timeline.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Okay, artwork in what direction I need to go? So
that's an interesting question. Kegan as will there be anti air?
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Possibly?
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Possibly there's I mean we're so new into this and
they're redoing everything that.
Speaker 3 (29:36):
I don't see it. But most I think that's what
you're using the aircraft for. At the moment. I think
the planes are gonna be your big anti air.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Because they're gonna be escorting all these Yeah. Or you know,
that's pretty much everything except for the gold string, which
you still don't really know what it's for, like seriously,
and it's not even on the inventory list gold string.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
But maybe it's just a more bold string I do something. Yeah,
I think you do. Got all the maps, I just
don't have the neophree ones that I got it.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
That I saw that that's the one that's in there,
and then in that. Yeah, it'd be interesting to see
if that's gonna be good. Oh this is six double
sided maps.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
Oh gee, that's nice for this.
Speaker 5 (30:31):
The French court side English channel.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
I'm wondering you got to Hollands. The Kickstarter map is
not the same map that's in the box set. It
probably isn't because the box set would be extra maps, right, well,
the starter box is the standard map, but this says
Kickstarter map and this is just a map that came
with everything.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
I just figured it was just another copy of the
Starter box map. But because it's got.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
Farm like, this is definitely French French farm fields and
you know your your typical World War two mapping.
Speaker 5 (31:11):
Yeah, that one you could do with like Wings of Glory.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
Yeah, you could, I mean the size wise there same
and then another.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
Just open. This show has some interesting The hexes are
blocked out.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
That's mountains. That's a do not hit yep. So that's
where your clouds go.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Yeah, that makes sense. That's where you're gonna definitely, so yeah,
attention and fly off the map, but not to hit,
not to hit things to depending on the map you're using. Yeah,
so interesting, you've got the strategy.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
It's gonna be Yeah.
Speaker 4 (31:51):
Hey, high school, if you're good, honey, don't worry about you.
If you're painting, we're not offended. Yeah, this is French courtyard,
open Englis channel open.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
Channel would be interesting.
Speaker 5 (32:04):
Highland mountain one into light objectives.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
Let's look at it. Why not?
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Now I want to see the English channel one. I
am curious what the English Channel one is gonna look like.
I would like to get some of the ones, but
which would be well, some open skies. This one has
(32:31):
a lot of do not fly area.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
There's this little green that.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
Would probably be the jungle because that says heavy objectives.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
That it looks like it's Oh my god, it's a
mountain range.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Uh oh that is in the worst place possible to
dead center.
Speaker 5 (32:53):
O my god.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Yeah, it's like this is all do not hit all.
Speaker 5 (33:00):
That's the valley because it says narrow.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
That might be Oh, it's even worse on the other side. Geez.
This is definitely yeah not running a lot of ships.
Make you work for it while you're trying to get
around it. That's cool. Well, that one is that the channel. No,
but oh that's neat too.
Speaker 5 (33:27):
That one might be open water or island.
Speaker 3 (33:30):
This is I think island.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
It might be island or this actually might be That
one was probably imagine island, but it says down here.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
I just can't read it island, open island, open island,
so that it says over water and there's ships on it.
Oh that's cool too. That's a desert.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
That's a nice looking like that one that for Wings
of Glory to the oasis out there, and know what's here's.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
The jungle heavy object objectives.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
So it's all clouds, drunk keepers trying to fold it something.
Oh wow, oh my gosh, that is all cloud Everything
that you can see is do not collide, oh boy,
because I'm sure there's effects with the clouds.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Well yeah, it's gonna be like good grief.
Speaker 6 (34:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
This map set was well worth it. We we got twelve maps.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
That's dead center. Yeah, and now what's kind of the outside.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
Oh geez yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Ice Wolf says it looks good. Nice maps. You can
say will have an easter egg. Ice Wolf says, white
Cliffs of Dover. Yeah. Tema said they need space versions
of the ships.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
Yeah, that would be interesting. These are yeah, hard, just
that kind of looks like that's it says.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Okay, so it's section of this looks like the the
Kickstarter map one Charles's Mountains ELPs. Yeah, it looks like
there's this looks like the Oh no, it's it's similar
to the Kickstarter map, but not Yeah, it's not quite
(35:29):
the same as the Kickstarter So I wonder if the
two would piece together. Possibly because the Kickstarter one had
farms and stuff on it, you could probably.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
This was a unique to the kicks in the starter box.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Yeah, and then you got the map map pack that
one came with that, so you only got this with Kickstarter. Yeah,
so it was a Kickstarter special. So those the maps
are super impressive. Yeah, we just need to get a
few kind of looks like an in game.
Speaker 4 (36:00):
Anyway, So we need to go and get too long
eight foot tables and just certain place.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
I general dona run a couple of ships at a time, So.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
And most we're gonna run for each side someti or similar. Yeah, similar, Yeah,
it is. According to the Lord, it is very diesel type.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
So apparently the ships generate a field around them to
allow them the fuel that the ships use create some
sort of electromagny field that lets them actually lift and fly.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
According to the i'd.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
Say on the timeline, it took them like ten years
and try to figure.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
Out how, yeah, to get it to fly. Nice.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
So you waited three years though for this, I think
that was worth the way, that's a long wait on
a kickstarter.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
But yeah, if you feel you got your money's worth.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
Oh yeah, it looks like I mean the baths alone,
But it wasn't more than two hundred for all of that,
that's sure.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
It wasn't even that was shipping. I just don't remember.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
The nice thing is this hit part before the terrafs hit,
so they'd never charge you extra for shipping.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
That's good.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
All the shipping was covered by them, and so you
know it still cost twenty dollars ship, but I mean
box obviously, Yeah, but that's not bad.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
The size of that.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Box the ship overseas twenty box get everything?
Speaker 3 (37:28):
You know, I don't know, are you?
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Yeah you could, So that's a pretty decent size box
for twenty both to be shipped.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
Don't don't see the I sell says, is it all
flying ships and zeppelins. It's not. I don't think at all.
They're they're literally iron battleships that fly.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
Yeah, and there are plane tokens, and I do believe
they're probably is gonna be like three D planes, probably
just like.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
You could probably make them or find.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
I'm thinking there was a game we had before that
had little planes, like I was thinking.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
Some World War two battleship one that with the really
fragile ships.
Speaker 4 (38:17):
Oh the well, oh god, the one that Johnny b
went was like fleshing it snap.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
Yeah. I don't remember dimensional plane that you.
Speaker 8 (38:26):
And because you just did break just trying to do
anything because the residents you have to try to assemble.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
Them, and it was just a pain. So I swolf.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
It kind of is more like diesel punk type of
thing in World War One era.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
Can they do a barrel roll? Doubt that.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
I doubt it, but god, that would be funny. I
don't know if they could, But you'd have to look
at the car since it doesn't really play into elevation.
Speaker 3 (39:01):
In this game. No, because I think everything's gonna be so.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
You're you're not wearing what going higher or lower. I
would assume maybe not. The whole crew would be gonna
be really deadly is the way the torpedoes work because
you shoot them before you move.
Speaker 4 (39:16):
Well, some of those maps are gonna be deadly because
those big ships, you're not gonna be able to.
Speaker 5 (39:21):
Use them, especially with the couple in.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
Their dead center.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
Those things you can't move, and somebody's caught in an
alleyway and you sent torpedoes into.
Speaker 5 (39:29):
That if they're kind of as well.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
Yeah, yeah, three dice damage is interesting. Well, some of
them are d twelves.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
King says he still has ships to that game. Yeah,
you have the Americans. I believe for that game too.
I want to story something victory.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
Something like that.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
The ships were better, The concept was good, it was awesome.
The ships just sucked if they were poorly made. They
were really poorly done. And you couldn't afford to go
by model ships that fit that scale and build them
because it would take forever and be expensive. Yeah, it
was a good concept though. It was and it was
fine if you wanted to play a two dimensional so
(40:14):
it's elevation, I could hit the brakes and they fly
right by. Well, I don't know, we'd have to. You
got plenty enough to play.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
We should just play. We just meet it scooters. Yeah,
we'll have to get a game down, and that table
would work great for it.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
Yeah, because that should be plenty of help.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
The map would fit right enough to run even just
if we did the starter.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
It's an aario with it, just to just to get
to mechanic because it's interesting.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
I haven't heard actually excited about a game for a while.
Speaker 5 (40:47):
I said I like the paints. I didn't say I
wanted the game, so.
Speaker 3 (40:49):
You wouldn't play if you I didn't say that, okay.
Speaker 5 (40:52):
But I didn't say I want the game. That's where
you get yourself in trouble.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
So yeah, I really know you guys need the Starter
box and the Russian Fleet box. Here started bocks come
in to German ships. So the German box has two
ships that aren't the Starter box. So no, I didn't
miss the movie reference skiing.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
I got it.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
That was funny, isn't that. I don't know if they
can fly right by, we'll have to see.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
Cop gun right.
Speaker 4 (41:22):
No spaceballs, Oh that is spaceballs hit the brakes and
they fly right by.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
There is spaceballs, then there's hideography. I do not like
you waste the far night. Yeah, but now now she
wants to see if the sequel is ever gonna come out.
They left it open with the beams and butt head guys. Yeah,
it's a big names in that movie though. There were
(41:53):
some big names in that movie. Interesting movie.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
So that was that, and then you were gonna talk
about World the Tanks Takes the Card game a card game.
Speaker 3 (42:03):
Yeah, they're they're coming out with that November, I believe.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
I figured that's gonna be an easy one just to
get in because it's just cards and it can be
done as a pickup game real quick somewhere.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
And it actually looks like it's pretty decent. Is it
gonna be like a dice kind of thing or it's
just you.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
It's all card There are some tokens and stuff, but
you have to you have to earn used cards to
spend to get ammo to shoot with the tanks and stuff,
so you gotta use some resource stuff.
Speaker 5 (42:33):
It's gonna be kind of like Pokemon, where you have
to try to use magic.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
I think, yeah, it'd be more like magic. I just
us is more involved than I want to deal with anymore.
Speaker 2 (42:44):
I don't do card games often, but that one looks
like it'd be cool and it will let you mix
some match tanks.
Speaker 3 (42:52):
It's a deck building game. Yeah, but you don't.
Speaker 2 (42:56):
You're not stuck with you have to play Shermans. You
have to play America. You have you could build your
forces out how you want. And interestingly enough, they do
take the artillery into effected from what I've seen from
the play that because tanks, when your tanks are facing
off to get you each other, certain tanks can only
shoot certain directions. You either shoot straightforward with your tank destroyers,
(43:20):
or you can shoot to the left or right.
Speaker 3 (43:22):
But the artillery can jump.
Speaker 4 (43:25):
Wow, I mean it'd be just like a real Artillery's
gonna watch it. Gonna miss that first one.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
You're gonna be very similar to the miniature team to
which I still am buying tanks for.
Speaker 3 (43:36):
Still have stuff for that November. Sometimes I'm gonna see
about getting for the old Black Friday sales. I don't
know on that one. I'm just gonna pre order from
Rich if you can get it.
Speaker 2 (43:50):
I'm just gonna order a booster box and then the
two starters because there's an American a German starter box
in the booster boxes. And then I'm gonna make some
cool Ammo tokens out of the scale model. No, I'm
just gonna get small military military model kids that have
crates of tank shells. You you need crates that have
(44:11):
won two or three shells in them, and that's what
you pay your your costume to shoot. So INSU should
play the World a Tank card game. In a tank,
you stop no room to play in the tank. Yeah,
oh I inside the tank to do jack in there,
(44:33):
unless it's an a PC.
Speaker 3 (44:35):
I sent you stuff here on TikTok.
Speaker 5 (44:37):
There is I don't know where exactly it is it is,
but it is paintball and you drive tanks.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
Yeah, so they're like little mini stuff like that.
Speaker 5 (44:47):
Oh my god, why so badly go to place they.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
Make peotball rounds for real tanks. Now, oh that that's
not gonna be fun.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
Oh no, no, not in real tanks if you're out
going to tr But on the many ones, yeah, I
think that's Poland, though I don't know where.
Speaker 3 (45:07):
They were just driving around a little bit.
Speaker 4 (45:09):
Yeah, little tanks and your you know, your head's only
stinking out this far, so it's not gonna problem.
Speaker 3 (45:16):
Yeah. If I heard I want a helmet, for sure,
I would be wearing a helmet. I don't think I.
Speaker 1 (45:21):
Want to get picked by a paintball coming out of
the tank, any tank. But yeah, so that would be
something interesting too. World of Tanks is kind of I
kind of missed the old.
Speaker 3 (45:34):
School, the old school way. Yeah, that was eight years ago.
I was looking back on some of the videos.
Speaker 5 (45:40):
I'm like, hey, you know what, that one hill is
still there holding together.
Speaker 3 (45:46):
Yeah, the once Clint gave you to finish off.
Speaker 5 (45:49):
Still one's still holding together.
Speaker 2 (45:52):
Mm. Yeah, I've got It's a decent for the World
Tank miniatures. But I'll say just and collecting the tanks.
Speaker 3 (46:02):
The tanks have very nice box sets though.
Speaker 2 (46:05):
Yeah, now that they're getting a little more modern, they're
kind of cool. I've got a lot of the British
stuff I didn't have before because the modern tanks are cool.
But the video game itself, though, I've really kind of
just become a collectible thing now. I go in then
to see what new comes up every Tuesday with something
I want to buy, a buy it, and then I
just it just sits there. Do you think it's kind
(46:28):
of falling off? I just I play so many different games.
I don't think it's fallen off. It's just I'm doing
snow Runner. I'm now doing roadcraft, which Kean should do roadcraft.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
Like roadcraft.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
Yeah, the bridge is still together also, Keegan says he's right,
that's cool. And the sniper deck yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:49):
Yeah, and that was made out of elmer glue. What
was it?
Speaker 4 (46:54):
I think it lost the trees that I put in there. Yeah,
I could be, but that's I think the only thing
that came off.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
As well, says I don't even fit through the hatch
of a World War two tank. Seeing a lot last
two weekends. It's a big rally because we were liberated
around this time in Operation market Guard.
Speaker 3 (47:14):
Oh yeah cool.
Speaker 1 (47:15):
So yeah, I mean you tank tank cruiser tend to
be short, skinny guys.
Speaker 3 (47:21):
Yep, you're not. You're not getting a big boy in there.
You're not gonna shove a big guy in there now,
so there's not much room in them.
Speaker 5 (47:29):
I say, didn't you find TikTok where a guy was
trying to get into like a.
Speaker 3 (47:32):
Little Chinese that the Japanese type. Yeah, yeah, so he
was trying to get into it.
Speaker 5 (47:43):
You're gonna get in there, dude.
Speaker 1 (47:44):
He barely squeezed through, but only because he's he was
super skinny, So I mean there'd be no way and
then you cram three guys in there.
Speaker 3 (47:56):
What no, no, bye?
Speaker 6 (48:06):
This is.
Speaker 2 (48:10):
So I just thought the card game would be an
easy pick up, something you could just do, yeah periodically
and don't have to put a lot into it.
Speaker 3 (48:19):
You know, if buy a booster box, I should have at.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
Least one of every card, well cards would be I
would give it a try, but I've never been one
for a but I think this one.
Speaker 3 (48:30):
But I would try it because it's not just it's
deck building, but it's not.
Speaker 2 (48:33):
You're not you're not trying to find all these cards
to pair with, is your But these are the tanks
I want to use. Yeah, these are the This is
the equipment I want to have for these tanks because
it still has on the gear. But it looks like
most of it was universal. So your high high explosive
animal would go to any tank, you know, your extra
fuel would go to any tank.
Speaker 3 (48:54):
It would be kind of kind of like from when
it was originally tanked.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
Yeah, and you got the cards that were orientated or
they were universal, like extra fuel or whatever. And I
suppose they'll probably be cards that are which we never
really did. I did a lot there after. I was
playing for a while because the benefits were very useful.
Speaker 8 (49:17):
Some of them were.
Speaker 2 (49:17):
Well the one tank destroyer bumped my damage up to
like seven, and it was just like, yeah, this is
you know, or let you basically not receive a penalty
for being shifts, something like.
Speaker 3 (49:33):
The one of the tank.
Speaker 2 (49:34):
Destroyer gets a bonus when it's in cover, and so
it's even more nasty.
Speaker 3 (49:39):
It just he gets to build a deck of nothing
but King Tigers. Wait, he wants to build a German deck.
King Tigers were straight German. Yeah, that's what he's saying.
Just build one up.
Speaker 2 (49:52):
Yeah, but you know, well there is still gonna be
a it's yeah, it's still gonna be a limit. But
you could still end up getting white by somebody who
has a bunch of light tanks. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (50:05):
Uh so you can get around depending on the tanks.
Speaker 3 (50:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
Underestimated tank to me is the stud students fixed barrel right. Yeah,
so it wasn't popular, but boy could do some damage.
Oh yeah, because it was quick.
Speaker 3 (50:18):
I want one profile, very agile. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
Fixed gun didn't really hurt that much, especially when they
started giving what the ninety ninety millimeter gun or something.
Speaker 3 (50:28):
I mean, you got a bigger cannon, which made it
even deadlier.
Speaker 2 (50:32):
I suppose, says still a card game or your own tanks.
I smalls the hold of your hand it on table.
Speaker 3 (50:38):
Yeah we yeah good. I mean depending on the cards.
Speaker 4 (50:41):
If you build, you think you can always put the
little tank one, you put a.
Speaker 3 (50:46):
Little six millimeter tank. I just to represent it.
Speaker 2 (50:51):
Easy to transport, easy to play, easy to you know,
I still want to do World of Tanks miniatures, so.
Speaker 5 (51:00):
Say we always end up falling back to the minagers.
Speaker 3 (51:02):
It don't matter what it is.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
He says, you can have two king tigers and he'll
take eight hell cuts. Yeah, around they are definitely.
Speaker 3 (51:14):
I think that's what the terms me the hexs and
hex encounter games.
Speaker 5 (51:19):
There's no quote miniatures.
Speaker 3 (51:21):
Yeah there is. Now that's a HEXT game.
Speaker 4 (51:26):
Well, I mean battle techs hecks, so that says he
but I meant the counter ones where they do like
and Jeffy, Yeah, having having the model, having the model,
it's just something.
Speaker 3 (51:41):
It's a little bit different.
Speaker 2 (51:44):
Physicality. Yeah, even the original battle Tech well it's still
two dimensional.
Speaker 3 (51:48):
Yeah. You folded the back in half and stuck it
on a peg and it stood up right.
Speaker 2 (51:52):
So it gave it.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
Yeah, you know, the buildings were two dimensional.
Speaker 2 (51:58):
But the buildings came with the last kick Start or
something like that. That's really nice little one. Yeah yeah,
I mean yeah, when you fold them up they look
pretty pretty cool. Yeah, the the Alpha Strake buildings, and
I can't remember the name of the stuff. You can
get it like the hardware stores, but just it's clear.
You just brush it on hard buildings. It's no, it's not,
(52:21):
it's sliding over well there, Yeah, I did.
Speaker 3 (52:29):
I have a lot of three D train for battle
Tech counter and all that Heck's tech stuff is oh
my god. Yeah, I got keeping.
Speaker 4 (52:37):
I've been keeping an eye out see if any of
the place cells, any of the trees.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
Yeah, I want to get some of the autumn trees.
And there's gonna be winter ones. So gl for Sign
had the winter ones but they're sold out.
Speaker 6 (52:53):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (52:54):
I mean.
Speaker 2 (52:56):
There's a lot of their Their barrier walls and stuff
are cool. But I've been just getting some three D stuff.
I got one really cool type facility. I mean it's huge,
it's like nine hexes anyway, it's a dice tower.
Speaker 3 (53:11):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
The courtyard where the vehicles are staged is where the
dice come out.
Speaker 6 (53:16):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (53:17):
The only problem is it keeps throwing the dice out,
and that's how like the one I printed it, Like
the walls not high.
Speaker 2 (53:24):
Enough to the gate ball. It's just it's it's cool.
That still makes it interesting. Gap I'm getting I got
a really cool break, so I got to work on.
Speaker 3 (53:33):
Kei.
Speaker 1 (53:34):
Gan says, you're just calling an a ten wardhog. The
problem with the war hoogs they weren't. They weren't around.
Then it's a hell a good weapon. I'm really surprised
they're retiring it this year. A lot of the a
lot of the military guys are I'm happy with that.
Speaker 3 (53:51):
I don't blame you. That thing looks like a hell
of good support would be useful for a long time.
But getting rid of it and bringing out a new.
Speaker 4 (54:02):
Yeah, we do need to get Trench Club out and
get Keegan and Clint over to the game shop and
play that because there's four groups.
Speaker 2 (54:10):
Yeah, Trench Club is World War One, but very interesting
way to play because your equipment like the World War
two version of it.
Speaker 3 (54:20):
So your model, you got a little model and on
the side it has two spires.
Speaker 7 (54:25):
One is for your experience, one is your damage, so
you can look at as you're going through and you're
getting hits, your gain experience, which makes sure more powerful, easier.
Speaker 1 (54:34):
To hit the next time. But then you know who's
the bad guy in the battle that you gotta watch
out for.
Speaker 5 (54:40):
It's it's very interesting.
Speaker 3 (54:42):
Yeah, and it works really well.
Speaker 2 (54:45):
At first I was thinking, I suppose, says a the best,
the nicest playing in World War Two.
Speaker 3 (54:55):
Yeah, isn't an odd dug well, but it was effective.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
If they wouldn't have stopped the Germans, they were, you know,
developing the jets, so.
Speaker 3 (55:08):
It would be would have been interesting had it gone
on a few more years, because the Allies, as as
it was, had a hard time stopping them.
Speaker 2 (55:18):
So although we did take all their technology, we acquired it,
acquired it acquired. Yeah, to the victor goes, So they
acquired a whole bunch of stuff that, had they not stopped,
would have been not good for them.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
If the dice hit a unit, you get collision damage
that Leviathan's game looks looks.
Speaker 3 (55:49):
Pretty interesting vision damage regardless.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
So there is collision damage in there because you're gonna
you're gonna run.
Speaker 5 (55:57):
Well, there's collision damage in any of them.
Speaker 3 (56:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (56:01):
Star Wars Wings of Glory sells the glory all those
have collision.
Speaker 3 (56:07):
Sells of glory. It has been.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
Here's jugging it out, getting rid of it though, I'm
not getting rid of but yeah, I still have.
Speaker 3 (56:18):
We did that one open American ships for it too,
and the that's not the one you brought over that
We set up that racetrack for him. We did the
hot wheels. Yeah, I do.
Speaker 2 (56:30):
I need to bring over Car Wars at some point,
all the new miniatures and stuff for it. That one's
kind of fun too, is that the one where the.
Speaker 3 (56:39):
Gas lands. Yeah. Car Wars is a little different. Car
Wars is neat.
Speaker 2 (56:43):
Well, you need room to set up the car map
because you have to you build your car just like
in the old game you did. You've got your map,
it's got the picture of your car, and it's got
a spot through all your cards, and you lay your
weapons cards and all your stuff around it, and the
driver and passenger could shoot into the enemy.
Speaker 1 (57:01):
Oh wow, yeah, yeah, Hegan says. Yeah wings and X
wings I have crashed on purpose. Yeah, next wing you
got the one shifted the just rams so yep, gas lads.
Kegan took me a minute. It was just that was interesting.
(57:21):
And then they had the templates at the local games. Yeah,
but there's been some interesting games over the years.
Speaker 3 (57:29):
It's and there. There's just so many coming out that
it there. There is a lot. That's so I've tried
not to get into everything. And yeah, use hot wheels
for it.
Speaker 2 (57:43):
There's one sixty four steel cars. Technically so is car Wars,
but you have to put the car on the base
you had.
Speaker 3 (57:53):
That was that the one you brought over where the
map went away, That's what I was asking. No, that
wasn't Car Wars. That was that was actually a board game.
Speaker 5 (58:03):
That's when you ended up winning.
Speaker 3 (58:05):
I won because I left my other cards whatever. That
that was thunder Road under Road. Yeah, it was thunder
Road YouTube and yeah, and I was actually technically a
board game. Yeah, that was a one. Yeah, that was interesting.
Expansions for it still I haven't picked those up, but
(58:27):
it was an interesting game.
Speaker 1 (58:29):
But gas Lands, we did play it with hot wheels
for sure high school. If it was it was actually
funner than I thought it would be and you just
sat outside and yeah.
Speaker 2 (58:39):
The thing I like with Car Wars is everything is
based off the base of itself, and the base is
designed to go onto your turn markers, so all your
maneuvers are done with the turn marker and you just
pivot the base over the turn marker to figure out
where you're at, and then that does determine your line.
To say, from firing maneuvering, loss and control. They really
did a good job wanning into a miniature game.
Speaker 1 (59:05):
Thing of Verse and colts have lots of hot wheels
defense keances, so it'd be good to go there to
get some STLs. Then, I mean, our printer, once we
got it going and figured a few things out, has
been pretty much invaluable, used it for a lot, I
mean entire armies and actually has printing up some stuff.
(59:30):
So found out last night after playing uh boarding action.
Speaker 3 (59:37):
She needs to get some more cheering its and I
need different ones.
Speaker 1 (59:45):
I don't know, So Clip, we've got to figure out
a time to hit the coffee shop and that we can.
Speaker 3 (59:50):
Do a lot the shop or whatever one day. The shop.
Speaker 2 (59:54):
Yeah, the shop has missed us actually because we used
to go every weekend.
Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
Oh, let's try to push it out for a couple
of weeks because I mean next week we can't really
do I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
Next week, you guys have a game developer that's going
to be on the show uh, and he developed a
game that's launching on Kickstarter.
Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
Yeah, Dragon something.
Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
It's Dragon, I believe, And he's he's been demoing out
the game down in Mexico and some other areas and
having really good response to it. So he kind of
kind of met him on TikTok and he's gonna he's
gonna be next week. But you don't like my news,
(01:00:44):
Keegan says, different ones. Not more of those rappers with guns,
because they always are difficult.
Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
They're I mean, yeah, there's a lot, but but that's
how Jaron It's work.
Speaker 1 (01:00:57):
They're overwhelming bioman personality and you would just be stuck.
So we ran across a little bit of lore on
that too, where the Blood Angels Clinton we're fighting the
Necrons in the weeks, and then they stopped because Necron said, hey,
we keep doing this, we're all to be dead to
tearing and thrown away. They weren't going to get off
the world, so they didn't really make an alliance. They
(01:01:19):
just agreed to quit fighting each other, and then they
fought the two. I thought that was interesting and Keegan
was like, what, So he looked up in the book
and you can make.
Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
An alliance with Yeah, yeah, but then you could turn
on each other. But you could turn on each other.
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
I still suggest that you can almost started the game,
but I always ask around friends want to play the
game first?
Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
We have to too many games, too little time in
our group. That's that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
Nobody has time anymore. Man, It's like the whole world.
We used to have time, and nobody anymore has a
lot of time. It's whatever set it up, you know,
a couple weeks in the mans. Yeah, this last minute stuff,
it's hard to do anymore. Yeah, it does get to
be a little bit hard.
Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
But Pacemoo says, I'm the only one with dystopian war models,
but I have four complete armies.
Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
He can still play. There you go. You have dust tactics?
No are you? Did?
Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
I send it over Brian? Actually, oh, good thing I
had for dust tactics went to Brian. Okay, I just
there's no point in having them and make more use
of them than I would. Yeah, I sent them to him.
Speaker 5 (01:02:43):
I figured I.
Speaker 3 (01:02:46):
Remember you had them, and I had it. He loves that.
Speaker 1 (01:02:49):
Yeah, dust tactics, Yeah, I think he get says, yeah,
because necrons don't leave bio mass behind, So Necrons are
the only ones able to actually take out the tyrants.
Speaker 5 (01:03:04):
That's only if they I think they still do something
with it.
Speaker 1 (01:03:07):
Got on the tear on a nackground world, but they're
attacking all these other worlds too, so.
Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
It just they just remind me of Starship Troopers.
Speaker 5 (01:03:17):
And yeah, that's basically it's kind of what they are.
Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
You're never gonna stop the onslaught and it's actually kind
of what the Starship Troopers were because yeah, technically the
tears were on wrong before that movie was.
Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
Yeah, Brian says, working every day puts a crimp in
your hobby, and it does.
Speaker 3 (01:03:39):
That's what it takes to make it. So what you
gotta do. And Brian fu says that I love you
that much more for the plan.
Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
Yeah, I'm back because I know you like those that's
not Brian, So that's why I figure I just ended
to him.
Speaker 3 (01:03:58):
Yeah that was a good Definitely you do. He's gonna
utilize it well, just like World War or Mutt. We
say him all the things.
Speaker 4 (01:04:12):
Yeah, I think my kids and then I think they
played well one time and you never touched it.
Speaker 3 (01:04:18):
We played the miniatures kind of sucked in the beginning.
Now they're doing a lot of it plastic and it's better,
but doing it in resin just is not great.
Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
It didn't like to stick together, and the paint woods
or they come up and they break, and it's just
I like resin for certain things, but miniatures for.
Speaker 3 (01:04:38):
The most part. I mean, that's all resin right there.
Speaker 4 (01:04:41):
But yeah, hu many times I busted those things just
luckily they sat just fine.
Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
And yeah that's what I've got. Some liquid, some flexible
liquid resin. I haven't used it yet.
Speaker 3 (01:04:56):
I need to try it. It's supposed to make them
miniatures like that bounce, bouncy and so that they don't
I was looking into that, but I just don't know
how it would work with my rest. You don't have
to just try it. Well, you can mix it with
your your distance.
Speaker 5 (01:05:11):
No one said that.
Speaker 3 (01:05:12):
I don't remember.
Speaker 2 (01:05:16):
You could mix it with your existing and yeah, it
makes them a little bit more, they're more durable. Yeah,
it would help because when they hit the ground, they go. Yeah,
that's why I am like And even the buildings I have,
I don't want to. I don't want to three D
print buildings like that because you knock it off the
table and all it takes is one bump and.
Speaker 3 (01:05:40):
Although this was three D printed. That's pretty happy is that?
From one page rolls Human Defense for us nice. I
thought it was one of the Armored Corps figures.
Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
Well, that's just one of their like big macs that
they use, but it kind of pieces so yeah, uh,
it's fairly. The hardest part with this was buying a base.
Had for bigger bases that It's funny.
Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
It's almost the same scale as they are record figures
what they put out from Vandi.
Speaker 3 (01:06:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:06:22):
Bryan from Where World War Two says, I'm a metal man,
but I do love three D pretty yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
I like the metal metal, but it tends to stay
together over the decades and the paint just doesn't always
look right on metal.
Speaker 3 (01:06:40):
That when you drop them. I've bet the firearms.
Speaker 4 (01:06:43):
Yeah best, Oh Jesus.
Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
One fantasy steampunk one game. No, no, it's fantasy it
and not Iron Kingdoms but king News of the role
playing game. Oh my god. Anyway, some of the old
miniatures were metal and they were really cool.
Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
Wow that Kegan says, if the Neckrons would rebuild the
machine that made them, they could technically build their Necron armies,
but they destroyed them. So neck Grons are only Dwindland
in numbers. Yeah, there eventually will be.
Speaker 3 (01:07:31):
There's only one hundred million instead of a thousand million,
you know.
Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
I Stoll says, Yes, you could mix it the residents,
but you need to adjust the print layer time sometimes.
Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
Yeah, that makes sense on a flower or higher.
Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
And I Stoll says to Gigan there are still complete
neckground planets that are asleep. Yeah, they're the The interesting
thing with with Games Workshop is the universe is so
fractured that at any time.
Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
A new group can come in out of nowhere to
the war. You know.
Speaker 2 (01:08:06):
So the power of marketing, I mean marketing pretty much
need a new revenue stream, create a new army.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
Yeah, he says. Some of them sadly don't awaken and
some only a few.
Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
We'll wake up due to a virus. Well, if you're
a computer, you can get computer viruses. Yeah, yeah, Bryan says.
Old timers never been back to metal pieces. That's where
you see all those ancient s and nappy old skime
gamers with bandets, swords and spa.
Speaker 3 (01:08:45):
Because once it bend, don't move it. Yeah, yeah, you
can barely you got bend it back slowly if you
want to heat it and then bend it.
Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
But yeah, he's right, even then it can still snap
on you and your Yeah, you know, kind of just
out of one of one of these threads. I never
got into Mountain eatmenttry games like that. I just didn't
want to deal with.
Speaker 1 (01:09:13):
Let's see, Wolf says solid color needs more time. The
more translucent the rest, and the faster the print time
we've I just didn't we try that translucent color.
Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
We did a peach. It was supposed to be a woodie,
but it came out peach like a color. It was
this color. Whatever the hell color this is?
Speaker 5 (01:09:35):
It's like a pinkish color.
Speaker 3 (01:09:36):
It was on sale. No, we tried this, came out
this color.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
I mean, the print's okay, that's the grand obviously that's
the ground's see it.
Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
So it's heavy and I yeah, I don't think I
made the walls then started to separate, right, Yeah, it's separate.
I could and more kind of piddling with mine.
Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
The problem I would do with mine is it's set
right next to the work computer. So I'll tell you
to call it just three D print. While I'm working, Well,
I can't get anything set because and then get a
phone call. So now I'm going to stop or do this,
and now I can't. It's like trying to paint miniatures.
It's like I get the brush in the paint, that
being phone rings. I don't put any brush and any
(01:10:24):
paint on the brush, phone won't ring for an hour
as soon as I dip.
Speaker 3 (01:10:27):
It in the pot ring, Like come on.
Speaker 1 (01:10:29):
Yeah, but for a while you were on a streak
until you drop the exactly my fuck. But you were
doing good foot but yeah, and you uh, you were
painting quite a bit.
Speaker 3 (01:10:40):
I was like, how are you doing this? Clinton?
Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
I I couldn't get away from the calls, and then
I would get just yeah, you can't just do.
Speaker 3 (01:10:48):
It on the call because people don't you anymore. Yeah,
it gets distracted. So I'll give you an idea.
Speaker 2 (01:10:56):
So I was just getting some thirty minute mission stuff
just supposed to take like half an hour to assemble them.
I have one thirty minute mission figure. It took me
three hours to build it because I just kept getting interrupted.
Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
Three hours on a thirty minutem.
Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
Yeah on thirty and there's no glue. You just pressed
those together, and it's just like I just couldn't get
oppressed the bed and it took that.
Speaker 3 (01:11:19):
I just couldn't be.
Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
Left alone alone of time to get stuff off the
screw figure out which piece was witch.
Speaker 3 (01:11:26):
So it's just like I give up wit so what
I do now?
Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
I just didn't want anime because why not hit on
or YouTube videos on how to do stuff?
Speaker 1 (01:11:39):
Brian says, like here the best way to res to
the residents, mixing different residents together to get the consistency
you want many of the online three D print house
to do it there hush hush on the formula. Well, yeah,
because they don't want you to duplicate it, but you
have to, yeah, ding around with it. We're just kind
of stick with what works. Like we haven't any Cubic,
(01:12:00):
so I ordered any Cubic resident and the standard gray
is what that takes.
Speaker 3 (01:12:06):
We've tried to deviate with.
Speaker 2 (01:12:08):
The ultra high and an eco friendly resident that would
never again am I using the eco friends.
Speaker 3 (01:12:15):
Yeah, a lot of people have said that to that,
just like it worked and it cleaned up with water
like they said it would, but boy, it just didn't.
You you bump it, you drop it, you try to
do anything with it, forget it. It's feeling it's out
of the area.
Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
I have one one thing I did with the Eco
Friendly that these two little ramp things, and don't remember
what they're for. I think they're for an RCA. They're
the only thing that seemed to come out real good.
So I use them as a little table. Now that
works because it's just like my little fan sits on it.
(01:12:50):
If you could use it, why not. Yeah, there's only
that seemed like they held up just fine. And I
held them out, put in durnk plugs and and everything,
and they work good, and then they glued together just fine.
I was gonna use him some more hem or train,
but never got around to it.
Speaker 1 (01:13:05):
Well so far for the one page rules or they
all know is I'm printed an army out of that,
so I got not even shout.
Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
I've been trying to look into brutality brutality just because
my my friend in de Moine plays brutality with his kids,
and brutality also now has brutality space which takes the
old uh.
Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
But before I can tell it it works great with
the old uh. Some of the old.
Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
Spaceship games still older ones. Oh God, I can't remember
Firestorm a Mata. There's no rules for that anymore other
than the original rules. There's no nothing new for that.
But I can three D print all the ships. I
can get everything for it. I was thinking about buying
the Brutality Space rules to see how it worked. I
(01:13:58):
like Firestorm Mada, but happen you have third or forty
D six is like the one the one ship I had,
the whole the whole ship was built around the rail
gun in the middle. It literally I rolled thirty thirty
three zero D sixes every time I fired that gun.
Now granted decimated almost everything it hit. But yeah, that's insane,
you know it Just that's a lot of dice. I
(01:14:22):
actually said. Jeffy was hex Texas uses the water rents
resident it works great for him. I just never I
didn't have a lot of luck with it, and and
I was doing I'm gonna start doing some of those
hex Tech buildings because I did buy.
Speaker 3 (01:14:41):
I got their free sample file. I downloaded that and
then of course the computer took it dump again. So
I'm gonna get that fixed. Ice Well says you never changes,
never changed, would you? Pretty well?
Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
I did not change any sayings for two years, never
cleaned the tray. I use clear green, translucent to mix
never the same. It always works, but Grace, I do not,
so then just use what works for us in our
particular machine.
Speaker 1 (01:15:12):
We're having really good outcomes of really great detail with
what we're using, so I'm leary of And mainly it's
some money thing, even though the resin isn't really exacted.
Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
It's just no. Everybody was thinking it was gonna be outrageous,
but it's I think ours. When a etail is for
a giant bottel, yeah, and the one we use, I
think it will have two bucks.
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
Actually, I got a flash out the other day, got
a ball of freight box on ogy so eighty.
Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
Eight or number.
Speaker 1 (01:15:40):
But I just am leriaized Wolf of changing anything on
it because we're not experts.
Speaker 3 (01:15:48):
On it, you know what I mean. And yeah, we
spend more time with mine right now. Print's pretty good. Yeah,
actually it's right, she says, I will send us comparable
hext x files. So yeah, there was something I want.
Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
To buy because they have a whole big selection of
files for all their buildings destroyed, so it's the same
buildings you can buy in the boxes now, but they're
just a destroyed version. It was like twenty bucks for
the filey. I want to get that and rent a
bunch of the destroyed ones. Well, that would be worth
it because you could set up a whole table. Yeah,
I had already with those bridges I have and a
(01:16:24):
few of the other stuff I had. I'd love to
do a big scenario with all that, just like half
the city ruined and half the city not. And I
figured they put that giant dice tower one that I
have in the middle, and if we could just roll
the dice on that, that would work. And then you know,
because we could just easily and to end on this
(01:16:45):
table and have a decent city.
Speaker 3 (01:16:47):
Battle and just just do an Alpha strike you know.
Is fun. Actually, I get a lot of a lot
more views on doing that than I do the other stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:16:56):
It seems like, yeah, I would like to do a
little I've got all these max I would like to
do more else. Since I've been playing Macwarter five, I
reconfigured a lot of my miniatures to match my Mercenary
paint scheme.
Speaker 3 (01:17:09):
So now I've got some really cool layouts with that.
Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
I just got the update for that, and I haven't
done much with it because I've been doing roadcraft.
Speaker 3 (01:17:18):
I gotta get Ken into roadcraft, which you could build
roads road craft. Well, he got into that pressure washing
game for a while. Yeah, I wanted to. I kind
of wanted to get into that too. It's kind of
a mentally game.
Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
But this one was a little more fun because it
is just like the same people to do Snowrunners, but
you you're basically you're rebuilding areas after like earthquakes and hurricanes,
so you can literally build roads anywhere.
Speaker 3 (01:17:47):
The power of sand. With the power of sand awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:17:51):
Bryan from World World War two says water Base is
way too brutal for his taste. Yeah, that was what
I found with the water based just I don't think
I have any of the water based prints left that I.
Speaker 1 (01:18:03):
Add, I haven't run across anybody that really cares for it.
But my school says, yep, if you need STL files,
check with him. He has lots of them. Interesting and
we're World War.
Speaker 2 (01:18:16):
Two is so the external hard drive he was using
it from his STLs thousands of files cooped out.
Speaker 3 (01:18:23):
YEA, that does suck, sir. Yeah, that's my back. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
Yeah, if it if you lose it, you lose it.
And that's I've got it on the computer. And on
the portable hard drive.
Speaker 1 (01:18:33):
However, you have to pay for it. But I know
if you got a best buy in your area, they
will recover it. They have a way to take it
apart recover everything on there. I don't know it costs,
but I'm not sure. Depends on what they would charge.
Speaker 2 (01:18:48):
I'd call and ask if it's reasonable, you could at
least recover your stuff. Yeah. I ended up just buying
a two terabyte SSD external and just backed everything up
just in case.
Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
I got a bunch of Kickstarter STL files. Yeah. They
it's about the same as that one. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:19:05):
I did a couple of kickstarters for Cyberpunk type size file.
Speaker 3 (01:19:10):
I still have all that and all that. I still
have all No, I never got into it. I decided
I was going to id, well, Red is the r
video game? Right, Well, they didn't do the Cyberpunk video game? Right?
There was also Red was the RPG? Yeah, but they
they had miniatures out and I decided not to get
into it.
Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
When I look into it more than it just wasn't
and I'm like, yeah, I don't really want to invest
in this. Plus, you know, I was getting to that
point where I'm gonna start not spending a lot of
money on came.
Speaker 3 (01:19:41):
You got in your mouth. Yeah, a little extra cash
I could get back into stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:19:51):
But I'm just not He says, print some fences and
glue or I will said, print some fences and glue
to the die star, so I stilln't escape. Yeah, I
was gonna do a little because it's the courtyard for
the building, and it's got two little overhead doors that
vehicles are supposed to be have go through. I think
I'm just gonna do like a like a either like
(01:20:13):
a fence wall or a chain link or something over
the top of that, just to help keep the dice contained,
or worst case scenario, just put a clear piece of plastic.
Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
I just don't really want to do that. But because
that looks.
Speaker 2 (01:20:29):
Tacky considering this, I'll have to sometimes show you guys
that building. I mean it's huge.
Speaker 3 (01:20:35):
I'd like to see it. I can fit two mechs
in the the parking area where the dice come out
side by side.
Speaker 2 (01:20:43):
So that's that's a big one. It's a big one,
and it's OK, it's tall. It's four mechs tall. Oh jeez,
it's it's big.
Speaker 1 (01:20:53):
Kind of kind of every once in a while, I
think back to the old days when we were during
COVID and we were sent to that.
Speaker 3 (01:21:00):
The outpost we called your mom's barn.
Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
We're out there with Wi Fi, frigging freezing feet, a
portable heater in the middle of winter, to customer doing
customer service calls.
Speaker 3 (01:21:11):
And in between we had a table set up playing
blitz Ball. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
Yeah, we we made jokes about it being the outpost
because literally it kind of was, Yeah, get the Wi
Fi to work. I had to go upstairs and the
door like big barn building.
Speaker 3 (01:21:29):
Is that at the shop?
Speaker 1 (01:21:31):
Yeah, So Clint had to walk up the steps towards
the roof and set the Wi Fi router there so
we could get signal down, signal down to our little
room that we're huddled in with one small little space
heater and you know, I mean it's thowing that he
is a little bit colder than he thinks. We had
a we did have an emergency coffee pot, yeah, and
a mini fridge and a table game.
Speaker 3 (01:21:53):
Guys worked so hard. We did. We did, we did
work work. Yeah, we were we didn't answer the phone.
Were still good call numbers.
Speaker 2 (01:22:05):
Our numbers never went down. We got praised for doing
a good job, and some of the others didn't.
Speaker 1 (01:22:10):
Because I remember I can't say the name, but I
remember a particular lady who's numbers plumbing.
Speaker 3 (01:22:16):
Yeah, she no longer works there, for what I understand. Yeah,
most don't work there anymore. Keegan, she needed to go though,
well she had was disrupted.
Speaker 1 (01:22:27):
Yeah, Keggan says, I want to get roadue Craft, but
I need to build a PC or a newer Xbox,
and war says, I need to look into that. That's
way too much to try to track down. And you
should because really, Brian, they can recover that. Just because
it doesn't work for you.
Speaker 3 (01:22:43):
You take it in there and.
Speaker 2 (01:22:45):
There there guys will the geek Squad, they will play Rosecraft.
Speaker 3 (01:22:50):
They will a lot of them. You have to have
the s, which is what we have, yeah, X or
what I have.
Speaker 2 (01:23:01):
But Box.
Speaker 3 (01:23:04):
Roadcrafts could still be played on the older the one
model older.
Speaker 1 (01:23:08):
Some of the newer ones are just you have to
they're kind of forcing you to upgrade. Yeah, you could
play the games.
Speaker 3 (01:23:15):
Well.
Speaker 2 (01:23:16):
So when I switched my AX, it like some of
the ones like Cyberbunk wanted me to spend a little
extra money to get the X version of the game.
Speaker 3 (01:23:25):
It's it is. It did not help Fallout that's for sure.
Fallout four actually got worse when you did.
Speaker 5 (01:23:32):
I tried playing Fallout four and I did not like it.
Speaker 4 (01:23:34):
I started, I got into the barricade or the bunker
or whatever, and when they killed the wife of my.
Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
Yep, nope, that's it. Delete. Oh I had to go forward. Yeah,
what's what they did? It's it didn't. The problem is
it didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
Fix the glitching problems that I still have even upgringing
into Series X and everything, or it just didn't.
Speaker 3 (01:23:59):
The game was still just right, like crashing, like okay,
this really didn't make it better. Oh, sometimes it don't.
Speaker 2 (01:24:08):
Yeah, I mean it's stopped me from putting five hundred
hours on it. But yeah, he be logged into that
one day to play. She's like, you've spent this much.
I'm like, that's just this playthrough. Like I've been playing
that since it came out. Yeah, attack my old Xbox.
I bought new when that came out. It was the
Fallout four edition.
Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
I just don't realize that. Yeah, it was I mean
ten years ago at league.
Speaker 4 (01:24:35):
Well, babe, I mean, look how many times that I
would get into Minecraft and just start building, and ten.
Speaker 5 (01:24:41):
Hours later you don't realize how long you were sitting.
Speaker 3 (01:24:44):
Sometimes. Yeah, well that's the kicker too.
Speaker 2 (01:24:47):
As I talk, I know, I know video gamers concept
for extended periods of time video gaming, but if you
offer them to play a game, sometimes I'm like.
Speaker 3 (01:24:58):
Come on, you can do it. You can put t
hours an Xbox. You can put two hours down.
Speaker 2 (01:25:02):
The table, a few hours a week to play Xbox. Yeah,
it's between the few games. I'm just waiting for Battlefield
six on that drops then.
Speaker 3 (01:25:13):
What twelve more days, two or ten? So I played
the beta, was really impressed. It was really good. It
was nice to be playing at what, you.
Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
Know, because the other stuff Call of Duty just got dumb,
just got ridiculous, and you know that's what people have
dropped and drove. So my dad letting the Snake really five,
I still haven't finished the first mission. They never have
time to sit down. I mean it's such a each
(01:25:47):
mission is like hours. There's no zipping through. The first
mission was just huge. I mean you're on this island
in Italy trying to take out the Germans and all
these spotlights and then this radar tower array, and it's
like you just don't zip through it. There's no one
(01:26:08):
you can pull off some insane sniper shots. I killed
a guy up on the radar tower from like a
mile away.
Speaker 3 (01:26:15):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:26:16):
Because they made it so you now get to pick
what you want for your weapons, and you can keep
them and you can get AMMO for them.
Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
So instead of going.
Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
Out and not getting AMMO, like you know, I always
had the Moses again because I like the most of
the cant I can start the game with the Moses,
thegn A Thompson and at nineteen eleven.
Speaker 3 (01:26:36):
And any AMMO I pick up works on that gun.
Speaker 2 (01:26:41):
Then you can modify, so Mike Thompson and my nineteen
eleven have stock grip upgrades, scope upgrades. My nineteen eleven
has a pistol, a front pistol grip really and a silencer.
My nineteen eleven is is actually more deadly than Mike Thompson.
(01:27:01):
So I literally just only used the mos In Agant,
which now has an upgraded sniper scope, muzzle, and silencer.
I mean, it's just my Mosin is just deadly. I
mean I am dropping things super long range.
Speaker 7 (01:27:18):
Yeah, but that's cool, isn't it. I thought it was
Sniper Elite where they got to where other people can
try to that.
Speaker 2 (01:27:24):
Is I did not realize you have to turn that off. Yeah, yeah,
you did not understand why this person kept showing up.
And I'm like, what the hell because it just disrupted
my game. I even set a trap for the guy
and finally got him in one of the playthroughs got
him in the trap and that worked, but then another
one showed up later and I'm just like, because they
(01:27:46):
just randomly show up, there's no You get this little
indication that this German.
Speaker 3 (01:27:53):
Is hunting and that's all it says.
Speaker 2 (01:27:56):
And then later on your head explodes or something because
they just sniped you, you know know there finally figure
out you can go and turn that off. I'm like, yeah,
it was preventing me from getting through anything. I'm like,
this is annoying.
Speaker 3 (01:28:07):
As I thought it was part of the game. I
heard I heard it.
Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
I was like, so what you're trying to sneak through
do your mission? Other people are trying to take you.
Let one other person come in and dount you down.
Speaker 4 (01:28:20):
The problem with that is you will and say it's
not gonna be someone who can you know you're used to.
Speaker 3 (01:28:27):
But that's if that makes sense. But what it usually
ends up being is a veteran player who's bored and so.
Speaker 5 (01:28:36):
Screw I'm gonna go play.
Speaker 2 (01:28:37):
Yeah, I'm gonna go mess with the newbies, and I'm like,
I'm trying to get through this and not I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:28:42):
So I finally figure out to turn that off. Then
I was able to get a little further with it.
Speaker 5 (01:28:47):
But see, that's why I couldn't do like the online
Elder scrolls. Yeah, it's like, no, I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:28:54):
If I'm gonna get into a game like that, it's
I want to do the mission, it's not bombarded.
Speaker 2 (01:28:59):
With want to deal with other playsople. Yeah, that's why
I don't do Fallout seventy six. Now they fixed the
system so that it's not as bad, but it's like
at this point, I just don't care. And they love Fallout,
but I'm not gonna bother. Yeah, you've always like Fallout,
they always have. I just don't want to play it
with a bunch of other people.
Speaker 1 (01:29:19):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:29:19):
World of Tanks obviously you can't not have. That's just
like a.
Speaker 5 (01:29:23):
Call of duty or anything. That's what you're going in
for anymore.
Speaker 3 (01:29:28):
World of tanks. They play in co op mode. I
don't bother with the regular because I just I have time.
Speaker 2 (01:29:34):
I'm gonna get to play this for an hour or
two with the most so I don't want to be
dealing with you still have the bullying crap when you
you got you know, people on.
Speaker 3 (01:29:44):
Your team who have friends on the other team, and
they want to mess with you, and I like, I don't.
I don't want to deal with that. Yeah, so I
just play in co op mode. I don't care. Well,
some games are good just to do on your own,
like the Pions and sometimes.
Speaker 4 (01:30:03):
Well that's why I redownloaded to Raid, just to replay
them again. See if I can't get one on all
of it. Yeah, I forgot the sign out of yours
and now I have to do it on yours because
I started on yours.
Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
Yeah, that's why I look in the snow Runner stuff.
It's just I don't known to deal with other people.
I mean, you can't cross play with snow Runner or
with up like Roadcraft. You can have other people coming
and help too, but it's like.
Speaker 4 (01:30:28):
It's fine, I downloaded and say the last time we
had it the snow Runner to try to play with
Kegan and it's like, you can't even get into the
co op stuff until you complete like three mission.
Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
You gotta be so far ahead and certain things. Yeah,
that's the only way it works. But well, at least
in that way what you play. You know what you're
doing too, Yeah, you know, as opposed to jump in
and I hate it. It's gonna be bad to go
back to the snow Runner from because I can build roads.
(01:31:01):
If I can't get through something, I just feel it
full of sand and make a road. I mean literally,
if it's a bridge out and I don't want to
build a bridge, I will literally just build the entire.
Speaker 3 (01:31:11):
River with sand and make a bridge. And I'm fine now,
I just I'm like, I can't fix this road.
Speaker 4 (01:31:18):
I watched he can do a couple of the missions, like,
how the hell are you even getting through that ship?
Speaker 3 (01:31:23):
Yeah, it's he's pretty bad.
Speaker 2 (01:31:25):
I have two mod vehicles that pretty much take care
of the brunt of my work because I don't want
to deal with trying to go through this or this,
and well for the Robbies, Mythos says, yeah, I feel
like it was a huge mistake to take a single
player narrative series.
Speaker 3 (01:31:44):
I follow turn it into a multiplayer game. I agree.
Speaker 1 (01:31:47):
Yeah, so everybody agrees with you there, mithos yeh. Fallow
was supposed to be you going through the world.
Speaker 3 (01:31:53):
Yeah, that was the point. You're the main character. You're
the character.
Speaker 4 (01:31:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:31:58):
So I don't know why they Why they because it
was the money thing, and they it almost cost them.
They franchised.
Speaker 2 (01:32:06):
They finally kind of fixed some of the issues and
got their head in the game. And that's the only
reason it's doing well now is because they got their
head out of there, you know what.
Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
Yeah, got it fixed otherwise, and this, I just I
can't see the story arc being there.
Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
I mean, there's storyline to it and everything, but this
that was the great thing about any of the Fallout
games was the story arc. That's this ridiculous, insane story arc.
It just keeps getting more ridiculous insane as time goes on.
Speaker 3 (01:32:37):
That's how it was meant.
Speaker 2 (01:32:40):
Small side note on that, we'll talk about story arcs.
I've been watching Just the Metal, the TV series, and
I'll tell you what, it's awesome. It's beautiful, storyline great.
Speaker 3 (01:32:56):
I mean, it's peacock on Peacock. It's like a twelve
dollars yeah, well, no, I just didn't know where it was.
Speaker 2 (01:33:06):
It follows mostly John Doe, the John Doe character, and
he introduced all the characters, and even Sweet Tooth has
a whole backstory and actually he's a really cool character
even though he's psycho.
Speaker 3 (01:33:18):
There are some other people that are more psycho than him.
Speaker 2 (01:33:21):
But like season two now is getting into the actual
Twisted Metal tournament, and like they've introduced Calypso and his stuff,
and his stuff is interesting to touch on his backstory.
You've got a lot of development for side. Like Axel,
the dude in the Big Tires, he has a whole backstory.
(01:33:43):
They end up accidentally rescuing him and it's hilarious for
they how they do it too, huh? It was it
is done so and Anthony Mackie plays John Doe and
it's got I don't know a lot of the other actors,
but it's got a real good professional cast. But it
(01:34:04):
is just John Well. Like sweet Tooth's voice is Will Arnette.
He plays the voice of Sweet Tooth.
Speaker 3 (01:34:13):
And so is it animated? No, it's live. It's all live. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:34:19):
And at one point the first time they find if
he's in a Vegas casino. That's where they start with him,
and like he keeps kidnapping people so he can entertain them.
And so finally he makes the band carried the John
Doe character and the other girl that's with him watch
his big show debut. So you can only imagine someone
(01:34:43):
dressed as Sweet Tooth first of all, with the clown
mask and everything, doing the hotel introduction video.
Speaker 3 (01:34:54):
Oh no, Lego Batman, yep, Lego Batman.
Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
It's just interesting to see how well they did it
because the guy who plays Sweet You is some WWE
wrestler and he's always in the face mask, but the
voices will are net so they're dubbing his voice over
all his actions.
Speaker 3 (01:35:18):
Oh wow, and you almost don't know it. You almost
can't tell.
Speaker 2 (01:35:24):
Well, Nagala, it's okay. That truly, it's all good. We're
just glad you're here because that's a big time difference
for you too. You have to go back to the
beginning of the video later, sir and check out the
diesel is that they're like diesel punk warships in the
(01:35:45):
air for World War One. So it's a pretty interesting
game that was a Kickstarter game because Nagawa here does all.
Speaker 3 (01:35:54):
World War One stuff. Oh, he'd love. Matter of fact,
I sent him the World War One. I think it
was Aliens.
Speaker 2 (01:36:01):
I'll just put the book back unto the camera and
you can pop it over the camera again real quick.
Speaker 3 (01:36:07):
Yeah here.
Speaker 1 (01:36:10):
There you're going to go Leviathans the Great War and
it's all airships fighting and so Clinton hear that big
box and all the packages on the table.
Speaker 3 (01:36:20):
He finally got his Kickstarter. It only took three years. Yeah,
I don't know. I don't even know that.
Speaker 2 (01:36:29):
I don't either, but he's a great actor. Yeah here
and just starter bucks. You can just pop it open
and showing again. This was the starter box that we
went through there Nagawa. So you got Heck's kind of maps.
Speaker 3 (01:36:49):
Okay, so here we'll show it because like I was
a World War One gamer and you might like this.
Speaker 1 (01:36:56):
And then there's your ships and German airships, the German
and French maybe I don't know. There's your ships they
fly in the air and then you know, you try
to wipe each other out. You get your cards and
all that on a hex map. And so if you
(01:37:18):
go back to the beginning, the first few minutes, when
you get a chance, you can see you all the ships,
the cards, and all the stuff that came with it
in the maps, and it's it's a different take on
World War One. So just like that, therefying Leviathan ships
instead of instead of the Zeppelins, and the balloons that
(01:37:38):
