March 28, 1943 the Meat Hound makes a "milk run" to Rouen, France with LTs Johnson and Jones as Lt Steele opted out of the hated "milk run." The Meat Hound finds herself in a couple of tight spots with a new crew and they thought they were dead and then this happened.......

This episode takes us into March 1943 with the 423rd Bomb Squadron of the 306th Bomb Group in Thurleigh, England. This mission goes back in time to build on our story proving a little more history and back story on the airmen and planes that were fighting an epic struggle to save the world. Our story introduces us to new characters and builds on the story of the fabulous Sweet Pea as a surprise twist.
This episode continues to build on the back story of Lt David Steele, his crew, and cohorts in the 306th Bomb Group. Before we get to the Meat Hounds first mission we hear about the rise and fall of Sweet Pea and build on her backstory with a huge twist. We also hear how Steele and Jones are involved in a crash and a mid air collision before taking the Sky Wolf on a tour of Wessex only to abort a mission.
Lt Steele takes Meat Hound on her first combat mission to Amiens, France on March 13, 1943. The mission is plagued by bad weather and poor visibility but the 306th Bomb Group did have a very nice Spitfire escort which helped make the trip a milk run of sorts. Join us on this installment of the Meat Hound series to learn how the pioneers of the 8th Air Force were handling the stresses of war.
Mid February 1943, the 423/306 go back to see an Old Friend in St. Nazaire. The raid once again has a devastating impact on the squadron and has an even closer personal impact on Steele.
