The Saints are a religious sect, or cult, based in Australia that was made up of a very exclusive group of people from three families.
One of those families was the Struhs family. At the time that this case took place, four of the five members of the Struhs family were considered "part" of The Saints. Parents, Jason and Kerrie Struhs and two of their children, Zachary Struhs and Elizabeth Struhs.
One of the core beliefs of The Saints was that medicine and life-saving sciences are of the devil and not to be trusted or used by any of the members.
The problem was, Elizabeth Struhs was a type-1 diabetic who was insulent reliant. Her family, and the people around them would take the steps of removing Elizabeth from that life-saving medication and the results were certainly not what The Saints expected although they are still steadfast in their belief that God will raise Elizabeth Struhs from the dead.
