(00:00):
Okay, what is up everyone? This is Sarah G. It is Gen Z Gab.

(00:03):
I have been sick, so obviously this podcast is going to be a little different. It's going to,
hopefully, I do sound okay. I just want to put it out there that this is my
PSA, get your vaccine, you know, try to stay healthy, take your vitamins, wear your mask if you

(00:24):
want to, you know, your choice, but I also have allergies, but right now my ears are kind of
popping in between not popping. It's just a lot of things going on, so that's just kind of where
I'm at. I know not everyone's going to agree with me when I say this, but again, people like me with
autoimmune disorders, it is not fun in general to get it COVID, but it just sets us back, ate it out.

(00:48):
So I'm just saying that for all the people who may not even be able to get a vaccine, please
consider them when you're debating if you are going to get it. And yes, before anyone says,
but you still got it, still got it, but you know what, it's not the end of the world. So I'm okay
with that. Yeah, but aside from that, I also am dealing with Pauling Count and other things. So

(01:12):
now I think I'm more on the end of what the actual like allergies are. So yeah, there has been a
lot of stuff going on and I do want to specify that, you know, with everything going on in the
world, I want to specify again, this is Gen Z cap, the place where, you know, I hear you if you're

(01:36):
someone who wants to leave a comment or whatever, or I try to, you know, understand what others
might be going through. Because again, in between the pandemic and everything, there's a lot that
needs to be discussed. But I will say that the past couple weeks have not been fun per se. I mean,
aside from, aside from 4th of July, but if you're someone who, you know, can't find a job and you're

(02:01):
getting those scammy jobs that like tell you click here after you applied, but then they give you
only weekend options and only really text you, that's not on you for not being or working hard enough.
And again, if your parents don't get it, or if your parents get frustrated, that's on them. I
understand if you speak up for yourself, I get it that people think out you're starting something,

(02:24):
but no, you will not be disrespected. And that's trying to end new generational trauma. But just
know if your family ever insinuates that you are a loser that spends their life in their only room,
you know, because there's not a lot of space if you're an adult child living at home,
you already know it, you don't need those people to remind you it. And the criticism just keeps

(02:49):
rolling deep. And I just want to keep reminding you, because again, it's easier said than done
on all of this stuff that you know in your heart what you're doing, and it sucks to constantly have
to be on the offense and defend. But what also sucks is you can see the point of view that
they're trying to do, but they never see the point of view that you are trying to give them. So

(03:14):
just remember, it's not your job with the elders to get them to get it, because it just it's so
draining. And you know, if people are going to say if you're still mad about something a week later,
even though you kind of I have but the the word sting and people go truth hurts, you know what
truth does hurt. But also, the fact of the matter is though standing up for yourself and then

(03:37):
having the cycle continue no matter what and then you looked at as the problem, because you're the
one that's standing up for yourself. That's a different thing. And I just wanted to emphasize
that again, because I keep seeing different articles, I go on different pieces online and see
a bunch of people, especially on Reddit, who are around this age, talking about the same thing. And

(04:02):
you know, it's really hard. You have a bunch of empty promises from the world and you just don't
know what your next step is or how it's going to go down. And I just wanted to tell you I see you,
I feel you, I hear you. And it's a lot and you know, we can look at all the influencers, but again,

(04:24):
their 15 minutes are going down the toilet, like even no matter what. And it seems like a lot of
times it's still not fair because they're still skyrocketing this by some of this and people
say all publicity is good publicity, but just know that especially with allegations, which again,
they're true, just let's start there. Like with Cody Co and just some of the things that are going

(04:48):
on with other podcasters, dropouts, because again, lots of things are popping up on my for you page,
not going to get too much into it. I'm going to mostly talk about the Cody Co, because again,
the thing with him is that she's really disturbing how much his wife let happen to
and the whole Emma Chamberlain now having a nicotine addiction because of it when she was

(05:12):
15 hanging out with like 27 year olds. And yes, we can always go where are the parents? It's just
so weird, all this stuff and just watching like the Madison beers and as a bear. It's like,
I feel bad for them with going on, but like also just all those people that kind of take up a lot
of your screen and just know like I know I should be more critical of the boys and I am trust me.

(05:38):
It's just I don't really have time for like any of that. And I just wanted to give those examples,
especially because Cody Co hung out with a lot of those girls and a lot of those girls are victims
that they're trying to deal with. But a lot of those other girls are also mean girls that are
thinking over. And I keep thinking about this because Trisha Padas is on her redemption

(06:01):
or whatever. But but Trisha has had so many things against her, etc. And she's like trying
to clear up her image while calling out. And on the one hand, I agree with what she's calling out.
But on the other hand, she is not a good person. We should not give her this redemption arc,
because again, the only times that she actually speaks out is when it affects her. And it seems

(06:25):
more for monetization and more personal gain than anything. And it just drives me nuts. But it's
just like this is what our universe is about. This is how we are as a society. Everything comes
at us at supersonic speed. And you know, it's just like a holy crap, like oh, I'm following this.
And it's like all the things that are going on in Congo and Palestine and Sudan, it's kind of

(06:50):
getting like where at this point, it's like you want to help so much on all levels, you want to
understand everything, just know that you can't understand it. Just know that you might want
to help out everyone. You can't do that. And that's something that like I think our generation as
Gen Z struggles with a lot, especially given the fact that we don't really know where we're

(07:12):
going in life because of all these little roadblocks. But anyway, I just wanted to say I see you, I feel
you, I understand you. I've been posting a lot because again, I can donate but still remember
that the family of Farah, the little girl with San Felipe syndrome, they still need our help.
Currently, I'm getting suppressed on TikTok for a variety of reasons. So I just wanted to use my

(07:38):
platform here to remind you, I will put the go fund me if you have the time otherwise just share it
because honestly, I know money is tight. I know life is crazy. So again, just getting the word out
because again, you can sign as many petitions to ceasefire now, etc. But a lot of these families,
a lot of these, you know, Palestinian children need help now. A lot of these Congon or Congolese

(08:05):
and Sudanese need it. And again, I'm sorry if I'm butchering this, I again, 100% take
all responsibility for butchering, effing up this and talking super quickly. But I'm just trying to
catch everything that I want to say and try to give it out without being too like out there.

(08:27):
Because again, in this world and with how society is, oh, you got to be careful, which is again,
people go censoring all that stuff. No, it's just that you want to make sure especially like I
understand my privilege, like I always said that it doesn't come out what badly. And I know I keep
using the word like but that's just how my brain keeps up with everything. Unfortunately, I know

(08:53):
it doesn't make me sound intelligible, which I know is a separate thing or intelligent. And I
know that, you know, oh, I'm currently going over myself, which this is a lot of my OCD because
again, when you live at home, a lot of that childhood trauma and criticism comes back and you
have to just, you know, get back to why you were saying you weren't people pleasing anymore, why

(09:18):
you weren't doing X, Y and Z. And yet you're doing that again, and again, over sharing. So
moving on, I will talk about some happier things like that. I watched Beverly Hills Cop for Axel
is back. Everyone did phenomenal. I can't wait for the future. And obviously I still laugh

(09:40):
and rewatch it constantly. I'm trying to keep it in that number one spot so that we can keep
going and keep moving forward with possibilities. We can say he officially recovered from Beverly
Hills Cop three. So yeah, I felt like the first movie again, it felt like again, even though it
was a fourth, it was a reboot pretty much. And it was phenomenal. His daughter who was played by

(10:07):
Taylor Page was great. And I just love Eddie Murphy. I've grown up with like my dad showed me
all the self growing up between trading places. And then, you know, you name it besides street
and places, Beverly Hills Cop 48 hours, there's just a lot. And obviously I watched it more on

(10:28):
TV where they, you know, cut out all the bad scenes. But there you have it coming to America.
So I really, and after, you know, what kind of happened and coming to America to I'm glad
Eddie finally got this win. I'm glad that a lot of the original cast that was still around appeared.
So, you know, here's to the future. I also want to talk a lot about the

(10:54):
that 90s show. I love season two part two again, not enough time. They just kind of left it on a
cliffhanger. And I just want to say please watch it still, not because of any other reason,
besides just that I want it to get more opportunity and with how Netflix splits everything. I want

(11:15):
it to just, you know, keep staying in like the top 10 spots because then it's got a better chance
of being renewed. The kids have really, you know, grown on me. I personally like them last year,
when I watched the first part, but you know, just keep watching it because it's now like that newer

(11:37):
generation plus this season just had so many new great additions. Like the guy who played
Gwen's boyfriend was from the fallout and I really loved his acting on that movie. He did
phenomenal. I know he was also in like this is us, etc. But I definitely would like to see more of

(11:59):
him potentially in the future. I don't know what projects, but he is also a big supporter and activist
for Black Lives Matter. So yeah, you should just Google it and figure out where you stand. I think
that there's a lot more that could be said again. Obviously I watched Clerks because that was a big

(12:20):
reference. And the funny part is I don't think it's that great, but ironically at the point in the
life that I am at, understood parts of it. I just really couldn't get into the black and white.
Also, let's just take a moment to say that the casting as Sonny being Leo's son,

(12:46):
Kevin Smith, like that was the best choice because just having Jay and Silent Bob appear at the end
that was great. I do wish that they did like 20 episodes and split it 10 and 10, but I know that
they're not going to do that. So it just should be really interesting to see how that unfolds.

(13:09):
The problem that I'm having lately is as I keep rewatching, we used to love Kitty, but Kitty,
instead of the eccentric, empty nester, the way that she is with Donna and Eric in the situation
of how even Eric tries to put up boundaries and he sucks at them with Kitty is that Kitty is just

(13:35):
a smother beyond smother. Like I can't even, like she makes me kind of sick watching some of the
things she does for like comedy. Like, you know, I guess it makes it a great character for the show,
obviously, but everything else is kind of like, oh my god, girl, like get a grip because you're

(14:02):
not doing well. You were, I saw a comment when someone said she's kind of a
narc mom and that's why, okay, Lori's evil. There's a bunch of stuff that down, but I kind of saw the
point that this person was trying to say because, yeah, because Eric was a golden child in the
triangulation and she wasn't much better than her own mom who even though her mom, you know,

(14:30):
didn't talk too much to her, give her a lot of encouragement, she thought she was doing it,
but she was overcorrecting it. So there's that was, I mean, just the typical kind of
how she is about, you know, Lea being an only child and just what she needs from that. It's
just so weird. Now as an adult that's like healing from a lot of things, it's like, oh my god,

(14:57):
kitty is insane. And I think that, yeah, that's the joke of her, but it's still so off and it's like,
Red's actually had some growth and that's good, but like, where like, Donna was trying to get the
get her to understand that it was Eric's idea, like he's told her multiple times to move that they

(15:21):
moved to Chicago because he wanted to he thought it would give them better opportunities like we
told you he told you and yet you're acting like it's all her fault and that's like just a classic
boy mom trope. And yeah, it just so I don't know, I just find her less amusing. But again,

(15:49):
hopefully they tone it down or something because that's how, you know, things happen.
But only time will tell. Obviously, I still love Red and all the things he does. I really have liked
Jay's progression this season. You get more insight. I like the growth that, you know, all the

(16:12):
characters have had. I think that Jay and Lea are very cute together. I think that there could be a
lot of potential there. I know some other people are still like rooting for shipping her with Nate,
but I think that, you know, their friendship is super cute. I personally wouldn't want it to go
that way. But again, I see it in some ways why it might work more to but I do like, you know, how

(16:38):
Jay is not as bad as his dad, obviously, but it's just a refreshing because I found both his parents
kind of often characters, but I actually really like him specifically as a character. I can't say
that I don't like anyone really. And obviously Ozzy can have his moments, but he's Rindoy has

(17:02):
like the best comedic timing, especially when he's facing off Kurt Widsmith in his like Nenya
business or when he's topping off his coffee in one episode. And I'm like, what are you doing here?
It is super funny how it's kind of like he tolerates him and Nikki kind of like how he tolerated Jackie

(17:30):
and Donna who eventually became like family. So it's just interesting. I love for Sherry to have
more of an arc the next part of the season. But who knows, they were, it was just really good.
The first three episodes, especially just they finally found their footing. I really adore
the dynamics between all of them. And I am excited to see what they do in the future.

(17:54):
They definitely have a lot of potential, especially after watching season one of that
70s show. I think people keep forgetting that like things need to be flushed out constantly. And so
here we are trying to figure out where our next step is. And I just think it's so

(18:15):
beautifully done. And you know, that's where we're at. I don't think we need to obviously,
I would love to see a little more of Eric and maybe Eric and Kelso, you know, connecting or
laughing over the fact the intentions or what's going on with their kids. But aside from that,
like I don't really need to see anyone else. I don't care to hear about hide unless hide is Gwen's

(18:42):
uncle. Like I would prefer it to be like where suddenly WB shows up and he goes, well, I got
like four kids. Okay, Angie is finding out. She found out. But Angie like surprisingly gets along
obviously again with Gwen and Gwen and her like I would love like that kind of

(19:02):
to come back and just have a little bit of that bonding thing. Because then like she got along
with her mom more towards the end of the season. And her mom gets her and doesn't get her. So I'd
like to just see a little more of those dynamics and obviously who wouldn't want to see WB again.
Who doesn't love Tim Reed, especially Ray from Ray Campbell from Sister Sister. So

(19:27):
that would be a nice like little homage tieback also especially because it could be like a
you know, telling Kitty like Kitty goes, I thought you said your dad was a truck driver and she
go she could go yeah, he delivers my grandpa's like records from all those stores around. So yeah,

(19:49):
that's how I wind it up here in point place, etc. Who knows how it'll all play out. I also think
that big Rhonda is Nate's aunt, just the way that they talk about it. I also think that Sherry is
connected. She is Kelsey's cousin. So again, that adds like another layer because of other things.

(20:15):
And I know people are gonna laugh, but I just feel like in a way yes, all interconnected without
being interconnected. But yeah, I just would rather not. That would be too predictable for
one to be his daughter. So I just prefer her to be his niece. And yes, like your uncle, Stephen,

(20:38):
dropped this off for you. But then he decided that it would be better if you got it from this guy.
Quote unquote, it turns out to be Sonny or Leo. I don't know what I didn't pay attention in that's
just me. But here are your other gifts or something. I just think that that could be

(21:00):
interestingly done. But who really knows, right? So yeah, I look forward to seeing more. I'd hope
people go in and watch it and give it a chance. Because, you know, it's really actually fun to

(21:23):
see the growth in the progression from one season to the next. And I think the kids have a lot of
talent. So yeah. I mean, there's other Netflix shows I could talk about obviously, but Man with
100,000 kids, you know, the new Netflix documentary about the sperm donor that is in

(21:47):
his community and really like making your insides turn. I also watched the new Simone
Biles documentary recently. And I just want to say that her husband needs to, I want to formally
apologize with some of my agreement with people because he actually really like the side that we

(22:14):
didn't see in the interview, whatever versus what we see in that documentary, he's been great. And
it's everything that Simone was talking about. And I think that once you really understand her
background besides her being as it's okay not to be okay. It's okay to have ADHD. There's just so

(22:39):
many things that yeah, I can't do a cartwheel. I'll never be able to do a cartwheel like how she
can do it. I can never be able to do a lot of things. And that's where it's like we're all
different. We can all agree on some things or just but the one thing that we should just keep in mind
and this is as a whole for everyone in society is that we should be nice and kind to each other.

(23:02):
We are so ecotistical. The fact of the matter is I've turned off too. I've done some things to try
to protect my mental health even though I'm not even at the same level as her. But to be imagining,
to be under this microscope, since you were 16 years old, always having to prove how to outdo
yourself again and again and again. Oh my gosh, yes, that's tiring. And the fact of the matter is

(23:25):
at Tokyo, yeah, think about four years ago. She had no family like the rest of the athletes.
The more mental and physical and tulle abuse that comes out from all these Olympic athletes and not
just the gymnast, like you start to realize how much is like swept under the rug, obviously in

(23:45):
all these cases. But now people are shitting light on how much Olympians actually make. And you know,
it just continues to be an ever evolving situation. But I just hope that we are a little more mindful
when we go into the Paris Olympics. When we start kind of stalking on or, you know, commenting on

(24:10):
these public figures, because we do not know them. Again, there are so many people right now. We
don't know about their life. I completely agree that we can make judgments or, you know, assumptions
or opinions or try to like analyze everything they do. But we're not going to know it. And,

(24:32):
you know, it's one we say this with like where yeah, I'd say the Kardashians, anyone who's not under
the age of 18, isn't off limits. Like the kids are the kids and they should be off limits. And I
really want to say that as much as like we can, you know, judge Kylie for all the things that she's

(24:55):
done. But the one thing she's doing good is she's trying to change her mind about what is being
shown with stormy and air, etc. And I really appreciated that. That's good. And, you know,
just trying to protect these kids from the media. Because again, everything that Simone went through,

(25:16):
like hearing her, where people kept saying she could just quit, she just had no this, well,
I'm sorry, when you've been in the game that long, like people who talk about the twisties and the
fact that especially for gymnasts, like you could die. Like I don't think people really understand
how much are going to affect your brain as on you especially. Yeah, as we wrap up this podcast,

(25:37):
I'm going to move back to that 90s show just to clarify a little bit more on the different
characters and what I have of thoughts of some of them aging versus not. And I know I said stuff
about Kitty earlier versus Donna, etc. But now I'm going to talk a little bit about Red. You know,

(25:58):
I ironically still think Red as his moments, but he's still like Red. And, you know, at least he's
never pushing anything on. Donna definitely seems to have way more understanding.
And he just kind of hates people. So that's a different thing, but he loves his granddaughter.

(26:22):
It's just been very interesting just to see the dynamic chain shift. But you know, at the end of
the day, the one thing that I do appreciate is that the writing still stays pretty true to the
characters of the original sitcom, regardless of the situations that have happened. And, you know,

(26:44):
I really like the parallel with the guitar and awful Kelso's songwriting, if that's something.
But I do want to touch on something because I realized that no matter how many years go by or
whatever, um, Kelso was a victim. And I know that Kelso did crappy things and was disgusting on

(27:10):
other levels, but it kind of goes back and I've mentioned this too. Like some of the things that
Drake Bell did, I feel bad for the kid that had some of that stuff happen, but not what happens
as the aftermath or that whole hurt people hurt people, which I agree to some extent, but I totally
disagree on like your actions and being an abusive asshole doesn't help either. That being said,

(27:36):
I truly hated, as I talked about earlier, Lori, the way that she treated him, the way that he
said no, the way that everybody just went around it. And then he puts in the song because I listened
to Kelso's serenade. I watched the episode and one of the lines, and this goes into my theme

(27:57):
that I was talking about, but it's like straight up coerced me. Like that. Yeah. Like, does that not
bother anybody else? And it kind of ties to where I was talking about the man with the one that
gets all those things, just like the lies and the deceit that human beings can do. And it's just so
disgusting. And you know, it's super interesting, like in the industry, things that happen and just

(28:24):
like how many parallels within even a different industry, again, infertility industry, the Hollywood
industry, you name it, like everyone just got there's so many layers that I can't even I'm not an
expert. So I talk about but I also took to think which I'm not trying to humanize like horses or
donkeys or, you know, the equine species slash the goats, etc. But there's some people who are barn

(28:51):
owners at, you know, farms and it legitimately seems like if they don't have their giblets or
anything, but they're pretty much useless on their farm. Like unless it has a uterus or something,
then it can just as long as it can breed, that's what and it just seems like backyard breeding
and just not like it makes me feel disgusting and just how I used to maybe support some of these

(29:16):
people. And now it's just not looking right. And I know that there's different level or whatever,
and that there's the animal nature, the circle of life, whatever you would say, but it's just like,
come fricking on like this is really, really gross. So I guess that's kind of just my takeaway of a
lot of different things. You know, I this has been episode 76 of Gen Z Gab. Hopefully, you know,

(29:46):
we will see you soon and I will stay healthy so we can do this a little more on a schedule, you know?
Okay, cool. Bye.
