(00:00):
What is up everyone? This is Sara G. It is Gen Z Gab and today is a little bit of a different

(00:08):
type of podcast mainly because of just things that I've been learning and educating myself on such
as also learning about myself at you name it but I want to discuss yes as usual. Please remember
to go out and vote just because of the whole you know and now's the time. I know everyone's
going to get into different things again about third party versus democrat versus rupit versus

(00:34):
you name it and honestly at this point like the more that you realize where you're leaning like
for me I'm leaning very green party to you know uh democrat like it kind of but honestly even
with libertarianism like all of it is very much just the whole system is set up like whenever

(00:58):
somebody tries to convince me to vote certain ways I'm like you know you're the ones that are
saying that we need to throw over this like corruption and whatever but the way that you're
talking to you is kind of manipulative and when you're saying you have to vote there again all
this stuff is not like I'm just sitting here sitting around like what the actual fuck is going on

(01:23):
and I think I've said this in other week podcasts but it's true I just kind of wind up racking my
head around like what is this that we're exactly doing so yes why I say unfortunately yes for people
who will be disappointed yes I am voting for common law but again in my opinion when you

(01:47):
really look at it all there are like three options you know Jill Stein once you really
clean the skeletons out of her closet she's not great either and again I know people can say well
no I don't support genocide and yes it might come off super critical but I really am trying

(02:10):
I'm just also and people can say fear or whatever but I'm also very concerned about Roe v Wade
very concerned about some other issues and it just when it really comes down to it
I just personally feel like this is the only option really what I love it if common law would do

(02:32):
a ceasefire and not be so going back and forth about things when it comes to especially with debate
a thousand percent but it's really like I keep truly saying it's nothing's perfect nobody's gonna
be perfect in the way that the rhetoric we talk about and sometimes it gets just to be a little

(02:55):
bit much for my neurodivergent brain I'm trying my best to remain educated to remain great speaking
articulating but clearly that doesn't work at all and you know what as someone said recently
separately but the same thing kind of made me think about ethics and all the stuff there has
been a lot of issues with people talking about the adoption and infertility industry and that's

(03:22):
something else that you know kind of started to make me think a little bit about this election
there there are so many different things that I don't think we think about like there's a few
things that are huge and yes global issue or something that you know you're valid if you
don't want to vote for that I just truly sit here thinking like I can't I can't do that in good

(03:49):
conscience when there's certain things and people can say oh I'm only looking out for myself
um yeah look I don't care what you think I'm trying to do better and slow and steady again
wins the race I constantly say this but this is one of my favorite things to always remember is
like tortoise beats the hare and I know it's very redundant every week for me to talk about this but

(04:14):
again that's where we're at in life and you know I could also talk about the whole thing about me
trying to find ethical breeders you know adopt or shop responsibly like currently right now
I've been dealing with that whole trying to learn trying to be better trying to use the right language
and even the internet with dog talk animal talk has become so toxic for people who are just

(04:40):
trying to learn I get it people who are ethical breeders etc definitely should correct you strongly
but at the same time I'm sitting here thinking like you know sometimes people accidentally say
something stupid and I'm very very very sorry if I offend anyone there's just a different level

(05:01):
in some ways so I don't know some people just maybe can say they're educators but it's also
their way or the highway so that's where I'm at I also found out my dog was maybe not as
bred well as I thought she was she's still a loving and near and dear dog you know to me

(05:24):
luckily you know we weren't ever gonna do a lot of sports or other stuff with her just because of
when we got it I just want to say oh don't buy a beard and cawley from some person on a facebook
group that says buy from puppies calm or that say that it's a kc just as like the thing and that you

(05:49):
can get numbers and stay in contact honestly I think that you know facebook groups are great but
if it's a completely public facebook group it's a little bit of a red slag and thank god for you
know the breed and the community have started to learn with you know my own bearded cawley

(06:12):
and you know I'm grateful for the education because again even when you get one that's
maybe from a slightly sketchier breeder surprisingly I can still see half of her family
and I can rate it a six out of ten because again all her grandparents I found all the panel testing

(06:33):
and and OFA all that stuff for the grandparents I know that's still not 100% people are gonna
disagree with me but I could at least find that I couldn't find anything on the mom and the mom
was from Kansas and I got my first dog actually from Kansas but it now that I'm looking at there
was way more real ethicalness but there was still some sketch stuff so you keep trying to improve

(07:00):
and most dogs I heard a creator say this most dogs that are even well taken care of all that are
still from backyard breeders so unless you start educating more that's where we are but I do think
it's good to call out breeders and especially in my breed when I'm saying it's a six out of ten
because they got their first set of shots they were dewormed I know that's the bare minimum but

(07:26):
again I just still don't think it's as bad or like a puppy male but it still makes me feel a little
uneasy just knowing that when you tried so hard to do your research and try to find something that
checked all the boxes so yeah that's a little disappointing and it's it is the way that it is

(07:54):
unfortunately and the more like you talk about it the more you learn from it but that's where I'm
saying just nobody's perfect everyone tries their best and you know it still doesn't feel like enough
and then it also made me think about that because of their sole issue on horse talk where
you know there are people lying about test results and that's different than just not testing them

(08:19):
which is just bad or you know claiming that they have this in their background and then doesn't
and so I'm just starting to kind of have a lot of questions and it feels like you know it's not
as closely monitored as it should be and I'm also looking into a service dog to train myself

(08:42):
amongst other things for my own personal health problem so I'm doing a lot more research and
understanding again it's a little different than when you're just getting a family pet but I don't
think it should be all that different I like how someone says that their dog is a pet dog you know
not meant for you know the sport in the show life now they still do sports etc with them but it was

(09:08):
it was sold to them as a pet and in a contract and that's kind of just all I'm going to get into
right now I also want to talk about that I watched the child star doc twice and you know I'm just
gonna say that I see I've talked a lot about these things and just who is exploitative versus who

(09:32):
is and I think this is one of the well-done docs I think it's very similar to quite on set I mean
I could do without Alexa and Nicholas but again before anyone comes after me I know I said I used
to until it went down the rabbit hole and started to feel like mixed messages and her whole sick
a Lodean and the fact of the matter is that other people are pulling out her seats etc and just the

(09:58):
way that she handled the whole joint bell thing it's just like of course nobody else can be a victim
but them and then they don't believe other people technically and they're just always being ridiculous
and before anyone comes for me I mean she Alexa went after one of her co-stars who had been
essayed by his manager and he had to be able to speak out about it she completely like I said

(10:24):
dis regarded the whole story of the victims of Drake Bell and the way Drake Bell keeps saying
it's like giving the I never touched her I didn't touch the woman and just the way that he like
admits to being guilty ish like in the dock like a rewatch what I like to do

(10:49):
child star especially watching Christina Ricci just talk about you know who kind of kept her on
that mentorship path with Cher etc when she was on mermaids but just kind of you know her own chaotic
life and the way to escape that etc but that you know it's not the safest industry and there's just

(11:13):
a lot that goes on around it I do also appreciate when Raven Simone said that her you know viewpoint
on Demi Lovato when she guest starred she saw the pain in her eyes and I think you know what really
struck me was I met Demi when she's at the beginning of the height of the theme and again

(11:39):
I've said this a few times but it's like they're ever gonna hear this but I look at that picture now
and I just realize how you know different it probably was at a moment in time like she looked
very happy and self-aware but again this was the start of all that right after camp rock so I don't

(12:07):
know you know and she just was getting work to the ground and I truly just more feel like
thank you for that memory even if you don't remember you know doing that but also I'm so sorry
obviously you know even normal kids go through things with how the systems are set up but this is

(12:35):
like no you learn so much more and what they went through is like even more unfathomable so I just
think about like my own I'm not trying to change the subject but my own bad times and you know I
would look at that picture and it would get me through something so just wanted to like more of that

(13:01):
be known but I do understand completely like again I watch Pretty Baby I've watched a lot of these
where I've always wanted that and I still want that but again it's like I understand why my parents
were like with this field no you're not doing it as a kid and then they're like showing all these
you know sort of child stars who have breakdowns afterwards and it's cautionary tale I do like

(13:27):
also how they're talking about content and kids and how there's no like kugan fun for that and
you know it just really puts in perspective especially with vlogging families on what they're
doing in the exploitative nature because here's the thing like parents now I think know more and
know exactly what they're doing versus kind of not that so much and I kind of feel like in between

(13:53):
like I feel so bad like I started to think about this with the teen mom kids a little bit because
they've been you know on their whole life and you know I've kind of stopped watching it along the way
I follow now all that new tea and drama and I'm seeing but I'm just thinking about the kids like
where they've always been under a microscope and I feel you know the worst for them especially

(14:17):
with certain moms and their kids that are having this you know a lot of legal issues going on and
it's just insane I mean I mean like if you think about it right now they have a lot of the new laws
passing now in California it's been the second state to do stuff with the child exploitation

(14:40):
that's different than even the kogan fund so I think that's a good direction to move and
I've also been seeing a lot lately the whole situation with you know the barker family or
Kardashian barker family and then you know that whole thing with p-ditty is nuts like I can't even

(15:01):
begin to get into how insane that stuff is and yeah it does add like another level though because
like everybody was talking about last week the whole hate and penit ear interview and that she
also wanted to state that you know it's none of your business what's going on with me and I get
that and I honestly if you need to take meds to you know help with certain things like mental

(15:27):
health etc I understand that she went through a big loss like and the way that it was edited and I
truly do believe on a lot of levels that what people did was completely disgusting exploitative
and probably not her best moments especially because of the fact that she had been up because

(15:48):
she was dealing with a sick dog and as someone who has had a sick pet I know the feeling also
for something that seemed like it was going to be an hour it turned into like eight and then
when you know you're told not to ask too many questions about a current loss she had like with
her brother who was her only sibling like you can't tell me that these people don't go after the worst

(16:11):
moments obviously they're looking for a hot scoop or something and it's just overly utterly despicable
and truly can't even fathom why this is the type of journalism there's one thing to do like types
of interviews but on the other this is just like below the belt like the stuff that you do on satire

(16:34):
or if you should be working for TMZ or something I don't know it's just it really baffles me
what people were doing there um like again it's one thing to kind of have your critical opinions
so another thing though to be in journalism and then try to be more unbiased and there's just so

(16:56):
many levels and again Hayden like a bunch of those other you know child actors kid fluencers
etc they all are victims of the society and then obviously you get into our Kelly P Diddy and all
the situations that have unfolded this week like of what exactly happened there and it's truly mind

(17:23):
boggling to even consider how many shady things were going on and how much even like Ashton Kutcher
was connected to it and how much you know the Kardashian Jenner family I just recently saw
another clip of them talking about how Khloe went on tour with him at 16 like are we kidding how do

(17:50):
we just walk all over this there's a clip of Conan O'Brien looking at this dude like who the
fuck are you because again Conan O'Brien John Stewart and Stephen Colbert are some of the
truly national travelers I know a lot of to a lot of people it's bare minimum but whatever but the

(18:12):
point is there has been so many clips resurfacing of the level of feelings that they've all had
with the whole Weinstein Epstein like these like rabbit holes that you go down I kid you not like
this morning I spent way more time than I needed to on it and it's just so messy and not to mention

(18:33):
the whole situation with the Menendez brothers with the Ryan Murphy you know because like when
you talk about the Kardashians we connected to everything they were also connected to the OJ
trials and how that even was up and Ryan Murphy also did a weird portrayal there too but even
with the Menendez brothers it's like holy crap like what is wrong the same kind of situation

(18:56):
happened with Dahmer and this guy keeps getting applauded for the way that he portrays things
and writes things even though you shouldn't like this is like people's lives and the fact of the
matter is that the children of this person for the Menendez brothers has to speak out and explain

(19:18):
how inaccurate it is which is great but it's just kind of like a how much people go to profit off
of how people feel and I've been feeling a lot of this lately when I'm trying to you know I'm
trying to start a business and I feel like you know to do it the ethical way it sucks it really

(19:39):
does suck but you know what when you call out certain people who claim that they're doing things
the right way the complete way just remember this even if you aren't trying to like calm out or
anything or you're just trying to explain why it may seem scammy or whatever if they respond with

(20:04):
such conviction that they are like that it's you hurt my feelings or something and the way that
they do their marketing which is like a typical B2B typical kind of like where you see influencer
and you're wondering if you yourself are being crazy just remember people's reactions because

(20:34):
I've learned that at a young age I've learned out people there's a difference between like the
neurodivergence standing up for yourself and standing up for yourself and things but there's
things but there's also a difference between selling out marketing etc and I've studied business
enough to know the two differences I also want to say listen to scam goddess because I bet you

(20:57):
can learn pretty damn quickly which stuff is the typical scams of here's how to build your business
paying 99 dollars for me so that I can build your brand and your awareness here's how to lie to get
jobs like no just no we're not going to do that I understand there's fake it till you'll make it but

(21:19):
there's also fake it and I take all your money so no and maybe it's the neurodivergent ADHD or here
I was going to call out the BS but that's just where we're at so yes I obviously should move
on to a later topic because we just spent 22 minutes of talking about different things that are
moderately depressing about the world which I mean hey we all do so moving on to little happier

(21:46):
things I mean besides the fact there's anatomy premiered and again not really feeling the whole
lumeone situation yelling I'm here for if you know they don't go the situational route of Kwan,

(22:09):
Yasuda and Milan like in a throttle thing like I just I don't I don't like I don't care what you do
but that just does not make sense to me like for some odd reason I cannot picture Yasuda and Kwan
being in one or Yasuda and Griffith being in one like I'm going through the options here for like

(22:39):
what they might do like because for some reason like yeah I could see very easily like I could see
Yasuda with just about anyone except for some other reason I can't see her with Kwan or Griffith
that's all I'm gonna say totally makes sense why she could have been a you and me and your friend

(23:00):
Steve kind of situation with like the Marina with Lucas and Jules like that makes sense to me I can't
be the only one that thinks that truly but that makes sense to me but other than that no it doesn't
I weirdly could see Griffith in Kwan together but at the same time I don't there's so many ways

(23:24):
though but why do you keep shoving like Jeprel 2.0 and Gizzy down our throats when lots of people
either are indifferent about it or hate it like me I mean you already ruined Joe Link like come on
not to mention though that can we just can we just love the energy separately that Chris Karmak brings

(23:46):
to the table obviously yes I've been trolling a little bit again but who cares they rarely see it
I also have really loved the Frasier episodes I love doing the meme therapy too that I like how the
first episode though of the season separately scaling back to Grace handled the way that you

(24:08):
know green energy and the way that our society is I love how there's a callback to like to heal
with love all that by Sydney I will say not to the actress because the actress does a phenomenal
job as Dr. Herron but my question is out of all the things like why would you come back with

(24:32):
some of your reactions like I'm not really surprised this happened like why would you come back if
there's just so many questions which obviously will probably be answered but there was just like
there was no Teddy or Owen really mentioned except for briefly they are not really shown in the episode
obviously it shows the highs and the lows going on with Catherine separately and then Jackson

(24:55):
reappearing and actually trying to mediate the whole situation of like come on you're all big
headed women doctors trying to fight for something and yes you came from a trailblazer yourself like
it went back to when he was like talking about his own mom trying to be a trailblazer in time and

(25:18):
you know that whole situation yes she was sketchy about it but he's like you two are so similar
you don't even see it it's like a wow like are you like I love D'Amelia's face of are you trying to
you know dig yourself further dude so yeah I love seeing Richard back as the chief I know

(25:41):
there's like major spoilers coming up here but that's just life um the energy I love him and you
know Dr. Nindu and him working through because he didn't get the whole all-around picture and then
once you know Richard as usual feeling like he's losing his losing his like kind of grip etc I think

(26:05):
he secretly knows that Catherine turns back that's why he was kind of having a breakdown again at last
last season or so kind of and I just yeah I'm kind of like the vibe coming back from earlier
seasons obviously Bailey we know is going to be back in the OR and she's going to be Bailey because

(26:26):
again somebody's like she's not yelling at us it's weird she's hugging us which is weird don't get me
wrong and that's the whole Sydney character but it's like oh we did make a mistake we did do stupid
stuff why can't she just yell at us and Bailey's gone a lot more chill over time I like how Levi's

(26:49):
you know become less whiny than I think they're doing a great job wrapping up I do want to say
please do not kill off Yasuda for the life of me I barely like anyone these days like why a fan
favorite because that's the typical side but I I beg of you do not kill her off and Adams is just
stupid at this point like my ADHD self maybe because I kind of relate in some ways to some of the

(27:18):
aspects of him I just I want to smack him I know it's wrong to say that but seriously dude if the
roles were reversed like dude finally has a chance to get a clean start and just he's oh like I'm so
annoyed like I get it whatever life love human nature and your people stood up for you cool like

(27:44):
then whatever but it's just no as a neurodivergent person I know like that's not gonna last long
so I know that they're creating a messy storyline once again but seriously what is going on here
so yeah there's that Joe Link figured out they're having a baby and Levi and Joe and Link are having

(28:09):
some fun moments I'd like to see more of honestly I'd love to see Levi go into either general or
even ortho like I feel like he would be really funny as an ortho with with uh Link just because
Link would keep teaching him sports references that they don't get I really love their friendship

(28:32):
honestly so there's that I obviously will still say as much as everyone's gonna hate me I prefer
Winston Neltron over
Mamelea or Onika I don't know what their name or Sheltron I don't know but I just

(28:59):
I'm really I needs to be single or in like a sister or wife's thing with Teddy like she just
needs to stay off I know people are gonna get mad at me but I just mean like if we're gonna
I guess I'm just like in a point where I just want to see healthy things and people are like wow
you want to see healthy this is not what Grace is about true so there's that I do think Juan's

(29:23):
really growing on me though if I'm gonna just end it there I say we haven't seen everything and I do
like the Jackson and Alex so I've got him and Adams are bringing to each other so that's nice
so who knows what will happen I also want to say please continue to watch High Potential the first
two episodes have premiered I love it I think Caitlin Olson is such a badass in it and of

(29:48):
course Eli Nurse Eli is a little Easter egg in there there's a bunch of Easter eggs like the
guy from raising hope and sprung Garrett Dillahunt there's just so many funny things like Taryn Killam
is there as the ex-husband it's just so wild to me how many Judy Ray's from one day at a time

(30:11):
in Scrubs like there are so many people in this who are more comic actors but that are like and
this show does great with the whole dramedy aspect but I kid you not it is just such a cool cast
it's giving psych vibes so I think you should definitely give it a chance I watched the original

(30:32):
French series and it's amazing the funny part is the guy who plays the cop in the show is funny
from a different show that I watched called Baby on Netflix and I absolutely hated his character
which is fair because he played like the word one of the worst parents on that show and I know
people are gonna look at me when I say that but he played like the ambassador of something in the

(30:59):
show and he never had time for his kid etc which makes sense but it was just always funny because
I'm like you are just not like at all good at anything it seems like and you're not even like
you don't even have anything that's truly redeeming of equality whereas in this show at least you

(31:20):
have some funny ish lines in our germaphobe which is someone with OCD and ADHD I get that
level and I just think you know it's a way more as strange as it is more comedic undertone with
seriousness but I do say the one thing I'd hope that Hulu would do is actually keep it in French

(31:44):
because I'm trying to learn French that's the only difference because I can watch the American
version where they speak in English and you know me trying to learn French is a separate thing but
I do think that they're both doing different things obviously in the two different series but I
really like the original series and now even the American remake and that doesn't usually happen

(32:06):
except for maybe in like a situation like kota so yeah there's a bunch of things that I could also
talk about between this the SNL cold open and so much more obviously but they had people from the
original 1975 show which were like the really really day players and then they had people from
just the 70s 80s like Dana Carvey was there Eddie Murphy like all of these people that you

(32:32):
who haven't seen him forever and they were just at the end and I think it was great the cold open
lasts like 10 freaking minutes but it was so good it's just always mind boggling to me though the
one thing but besides the fact that Jean Smart hosted it for the first time that I keep forgetting

(32:54):
the whole thing that I know her most from is impossible from Kim possible and yes I know I
have issues with the voice actress who the lead and her whole podcast company and other people
connect but yes but separately I really like Jean Smart and also she was in Designing Woman that I

(33:14):
may or may not have seen a few episodes of because again Mima Annie Potts O.P. from
Choice Story you know the things I actually know her from versus you know I see a clip or two from
a show or watch this show but it's so funny I've seen her on hacks Jean Smart and again she's one
more thing she's one as many things as Betty White like let that sink in and this was the first time

(33:38):
she hosted it and for someone who's like 72 she does not look it and so I just wanted to specify
that maybe she's 70 I don't know the point is she doesn't look her age it looks like 50 to me and
that's she looks really young still um and she decorated her I love Lucy that was probably one
of my favorite sketches that she did and obviously Jelly Roll wasn't amazing and it just was very cool

(34:06):
to see it felt like that episodes like from some of the older ones that I'm glad that you know
they had someone this timeless on I know that sounds weird but I also like how they had her
co-stars popping in from hacks so yeah I do think it's funny because I also know her from the

(34:29):
Frasier episodes by the way if they do not bring her or Kirby back for some part of the reboot
I'm gonna throw in so there's that um there's so much more obviously I could talk about but
I won't keep you hanging as this has been a longer episode here at Gen Z Gav I hope that you
