(00:00):
What is up everyone? This is Sara G and it is Gen Z Gab Let's get into it.

(00:08):
So I just want to say one thing. I will continue to learn and speak out and I will continue to talk
about the current issues, well not issues but things that are going on within the entertainment
community. I will continue to talk about the environment and I will continue to talk about news,
issues, whatever you want to call it. I will continue to talk about neurodivergence, etc.

(00:32):
And this month is a big month for LGBTQIA. It is plus it is a pride month and I see you,
hear you, and I want to keep learning from you and try to be a better ally to all. And I know
everyone's going to cringe as they say ally. But the thing is I can be an ally to the Palestinians
as an Irish American. I am third gen. My dad has his passport. There's a lot more. I understand

(00:56):
that in a lot of people's eyes I'm not really at risk and that's fine. But I've been doing a lot of
digging into my past and I can say a lot of things that they're looking at the medical teams, etc.
about the whole autoimmune like I stated last week. Three generations later after my great grandpa

(01:17):
was born right at the end of the great hunger that they have never recovered from and that's why
there were so many Irish that came over and became a part of the diaspora and on one side yes I am
still very green. Not like the clover, but ironically like the clover. But anyway as a third generation

(01:42):
I've started to dig more into it and the epigenics and realizing. So I can try to be a good ally there.
I know everyone hates the word ally, but I can't really find a better word for it. And so anyway,
I will give some lists of some things to follow, some things to understand. Obviously this month

(02:02):
you should definitely uplift the Sudanese, Congolese, and Palestinian voices that are silenced even more
so than typical. And I know people are going to be like us girls. This bitch is like trying to keep
everything you know calm, cool, collected, neutral, not at all. I am trying to make it clear without

(02:27):
my ADHD brain going off the rails and that never happens. And yeah so one thing I'm gonna quickly
say which people might not like, but it is what it is. So I'm gonna talk a little bit about the
fact that I saw on the impact environment thing about like this new show studies done on animals

(02:51):
and just fluidity that they have separately from and just how no judgment is going on in the animal
kingdom. And I think that we should all take a page from that. That's how I want to live my life.
Like I might be different from you, but you do you. That's kind of the message that I was getting
from seeing that new documentary that's gonna I think be on peacock. And I think we could all

(03:17):
take a page from it in just even the world judgment zone. I don't know. Again, people are
gonna be like why is this girl just blabbing, blabbing, blabbing. Well the podcast is called
Gen Z Gab and I am an older Gen Z, but I'm still a Gen Z. And again, we are killing the planet that

(03:39):
these animals survive in and we could be kinder to them as well. And I know that I just went on a
weird thing right there. And yes, so I could list off to like there's neurodiversity also inside of
animal kingdoms that again, they are so much like they understand they eat, sleep, breathe, and you
know, get tracked down sometimes. So again, I just think I sort of feel like at some points in life,

(04:06):
it would be easier to be an animal. And then I remember if I was a dog. Yeah, now that I've
watched some of the stuff, I probably wouldn't like it all that much because then you get
toyed with depending on if you're in heat or not. Again, I know I got really off topic here
from other things and our main goal was to focus on, you know, uplifting voices of more of the

(04:29):
oppressed group, etc. And I will give other examples to follow so that you can, you know,
if you want to be a better ally, etc. So there you have it. And yes, I just spent a good five
minutes talking about that stuff. So great. Anyway, I've been following a lot of different

(04:54):
accounts back. I'm trying to get back to my Spanish. And before anyone says, Well, why do you never
speak Spanish on here? I've tried a few times. I just feel like it's really not shameful or
anything. I just just like an update more than I'm giving right now where, you know, I talk about
things I'm doing in life with like, trying to find my way, my footing, and where I'm at in this stage,

(05:22):
where if you're another person in their 20s that are dealing with a lot of the same things that
I'm dealing with, you are not alone. There's a sliding scale of where you could be, you could
either be, you know, settled down with a partner or a spouse to having kids, to being a dog parent.
And I know everyone's going to cringe at that, but there's that you could be living alone,

(05:45):
you could be living with a roommate, or you could be living at home and you can feel like your whole
entire life is falling apart and nothing is coming, even though the world and the universe said that
you were supposed to, after all the things that were coming out in life, etc. Like you were supposed
to go to grad school, you were supposed to go to college, and then you'd finally get a job and

(06:10):
everything would work out and now. And before anyone says like, I don't want to make this too
political going in, but again, the fact that a former president got counted on guilty 34 accounts
and yet can still be running for president, does that not scare any of you? Yes, I know,
there's not great options. It's like, what are we going to do? And Gen Z, we were like, we'd rather

(06:36):
have the lesser of the two evils, but now it's kind of like getting into other issues that make
you go, what the hell, like, what? And again, no, I'm not going to be some people throw around an
unpopular opinion. I am not going to vote for someone who's been guilty 34 times for other issues
and is a well-known as air and just there's a lot of things that I do not agree with. And it's just a

(07:02):
never ending cycle. And it's not the lesser of the two evils anymore. But again, there are not any
good options here. Everyone trying to throw in people from the Green Party, etc. I don't have
great feelings about them either. It's a never ending cycle of are we just fucking screwed? The
planet is on fire and everything is exploding. Not just in my life or your life, because I feel like

(07:29):
a lot of people feel like this. No, yes, somebody answer me. So moving on, I'm going to quickly
talk about reality TV and that I'm not a big fan of it, but I do watch dance moms. I did watch
dance mom reunion. And if anybody doesn't know already that there's, you know, a lot going on
right now. And I would like to just say that I'm holding a lot of space for the Highland family,

(07:52):
because Kelly Highland, one of the best OG moms on the universe of television reality TV has breast
cancer. And she's been using a lot of this time to spread awareness about it and talk about. And I
just wanted to say I'm holding space for you and your family and sending so many good vibes. I know

(08:13):
that it is a very challenging time, but I am thankful that you still are bringing us content like
Dear Dance Moms and Back to the Bar, which I listen to bulls. So and anyway, I just wanted to say
I wish you luck and hopefully everything goes smoothly. And moving on to medical stuff, obviously

(08:35):
people are going to ask you what I thought about the finale of Grey's Anatomy. And the weirdest part
is or station 19 and I could talk about that till I was blue in the face and I know I talk about it
every week. And this isn't really a recap, you know, episode or whatever. But it is a what I kind
of follow along to keep me happy. Like, you know, I could talk about dog talk being insane, but I'm

(08:57):
not gonna because I know people don't really care as much about that than the Sondra Rhymes world.
And I've watched some Bridgerton and yes, it is just a lot going on around. But please follow
Nicola Coughlin because she has been a tremendous supporter of Palestine, Palestine, Palestine,

(09:19):
you know, all those things. She's firing out watermelon. So she's using her platform
is all I'm gonna say. And she's also on Drury Girls, Drury Girls, and so much more. So it's
just been fun to kind of like see that evolution if you haven't watched it yet.

(09:40):
Drury Girls, it's on Netflix, but that's not your hearing or there. But I was gonna say the thing
with Station 19, the finale was immaculate. There I want it to be saved. Don't get me wrong, but they
actually did a good job with how many episodes, etc. that they were dealing with. And the fact of

(10:03):
the matter is that Ben warrant might be coming back to Grace Lone. So it's like a lot of things are
going all over the place that I don't really know what's going to be happening going forward. But it
should be interesting. Again, I would love a spin off with Maya and you know, the kids and
Jack, you name it, it would just be very interesting. I could see it being a little more

(10:25):
like hearted and funny. But again, there's a lot of drama that always goes on in that universe. But
I just thought it could be very interesting to play around with some of that in the heat.
And oh my God, in the season finale, here's the thing. I know everyone's going to talk about
how my hatred for Lumone is such an unpopular opinion. But I do like seeing branching out of

(10:51):
that relationship and friendships building mentorships for building it really felt like the old times.
I also think it's going to be at Larry's watching Winston and Monica go on whatever journey they are.
Amelia no longer works at Grace Lone. People can be upset like her and Beltran didn't work out.

(11:13):
But I think it makes sense because she got really mad at Schmidt for being super annoying, which
I get it. I get it. I get it. And yeah, so it is interesting to see like all those sides come to light.
Joe, Link, another unpopular opinion. I do not like them. I think she should have had

(11:37):
an opportunity with Sam, who died last season. But again, she doesn't even see ramifications.
And that's what really bothers me. I know they weren't the main doctor, but the fact of the matter
is I just don't think that, you know, the interns should be getting as much heat as they did.
I do like the ending and some, you know, little pop up moments that we saw blue and

(11:59):
Shep and I know little Shep Skywalker, whatever you want to call him, Adams. But the point is that
watching him between Catherine being on her power trip and, you know, I honestly, you know,
felt like the only reason she was fully going to fire him or have him repeat his ear is because of
his aunts doing the super secret sketchy stuff. And she has to be number one all the time.

(12:23):
I also think that, you know, there could be a lot of bonding moments I've been joking about
between blue and Adams going forward because of the situation. I'm a little upset. I'm very upset
at me because leaving because she's the glue that holds everyone together. Like the fact
at the end when everyone came together, which kind of reminded me of Meredith's law, like

(12:48):
her trial scene where she had so many people come to her aid and speak out for her, speak on behalf.
Her it's like letting out all those patients that, you know, came to visit to speak out for her.
And it was the whole entire group of interns. I think that was great. And yes, Simone gathered
them and I think it was a very good mayor people are what matter moment. I just personally don't

(13:14):
think they're endgame. I think it's great that Bailey even stood up for him because between
having the highest score and yes, he is one of her misfits or OG misfits, relative misfits. So in
a way it's like a bi proxy grand kid. Like they were her original babies now they're next generation.
And yes, he completed the log, etc. And I think it's great. People are saying, do you think that

(13:37):
he'll wind up in Chicago? You know, beforehand with how much things were going wrong, I believed
that you know, he deserved better and should go to Chicago. But now I'm thinking Mika's gonna go
there and I'm very sad that she's leaving, especially because there was gonna definitely be
some tension between Kwan, Lou, Mika, you know, and Jules just with what they were hinting and what

(14:01):
they were trying to set up. And of course, she's only going to be there for a few episodes.
Helm and Schmidt, I don't know how to feel about them in a lot of ways, but that it is what it is.
And you know, obviously 10 episodes is not enough, but I just have a lot of feelings there,

(14:23):
especially because he was so over the top annoying with, you know, Joe when he finds out she's
pregnant, she didn't even know. So and then it went into that awkward, congratulations.
I'm gonna run the other way. And again, she, here's the thing, I mean, everyone's kind of coded,

(14:45):
neurodivergent coded in the Grey's universe. We definitely want to play around more with the
diagnosis and futures to come. At least I would like them to play around with it more, see it more
in that said future. But who knows what will come of it all in all, you know, it's one of those types

(15:05):
of things. So yeah, that's where we are at with a lot of things, because my mind is going all over
the place if you can't already tell. But I think there's a lot to think about, but I do like, you
know, the magic, the Ohana kind of moment, people are what matter, it really stands. And of course,

(15:25):
anything that can throw Catherine Fox Avery off her high horse Debbie Ellen is a true genius
with how she plays her. Obviously, it is not hate towards the actor any of them when I talk
badly about the character, because it just means they're doing a good job. They are doing the job

(15:46):
that they are asked to do. And I will say one quick thing when I said coded about Levi, I do
think he's very odd, he is decoded. And I think that, you know, him trying to show out like,
I saw his side of showing and I saw his side of sensitivity and freak also understand as an ADHD

(16:09):
or pick when I pick up like that somebody's annoyed, I kind of I get annoyed, I feel bad a
little bit about myself, but I try to move on because, you know, that and he was definitely
going a little more over the top. So yeah, I mean, not everyone's like Arizona, etc. And

(16:30):
let's face it Schmidt, if Felix was around Alex would definitely give you even more of a hard
times. So that's just me on it. It's just a very, you know, bittersweet kind of moment where I think
I personally think that it should end on a more even note because 21 just doesn't like it is legal
to now drink for the season that it is and it's long and people can say pull the plug already

(16:54):
and I kind of agree. But now it's like getting finally a really good storyline, you know,
a United front not just about high school crap and all that or, you know, the typical just nobody
can stay single very long you name it. I know that that sounds weird, but I'm very excited
though to see Ben come back in this new chapter of him being a crayon again. But if you think

(17:20):
about it, yes, he's got a lot going on and he's been crazy with his, you know, choices along the way.
So glad finally that Bailey can breathe. He's chosen not to continue that career path. It should
be an interesting dynamic to, you know, going forward to somebody would be like, you're 50 years

(17:41):
old and you did this and then this and then this. You have many skills interesting. But hey, Joseph
resident all over again. So it doesn't really matter. But yes, I think it should be interesting to
see how next year's goes with animals, people you name it. It is giving old graze of vibes a lot of

(18:03):
the time. I would love to see if you know, they all join Mayor's team, the people that got fired.
And you know, they find the correlation between trauma between gut between this between that for
Alzheimer's. Again, we can all talk about to where blue in the face what's going on with them being
light ears ahead. But I've also read other things that prove some of the things that they were talking

(18:27):
about. So I think it's just a mixture of a lot of things going on. Like they have to not be super
ahead of the time, but they have to be enough where accurate. It's just hard to say. But I'm very
pleased. And I think when people say they hate like this new, I like it because ironically,
I see myself in a few of them. And I think it's just more getting back to being relatable because

(18:53):
even when for the longest time, I was too young to relate to any of the characters, besides really
Lexi as the anxious younger sister. So I think it's great to rewatch now in your 20s and see what's
going on. So I wrap up here. I'm going to segue into a few things about the, you know, series

(19:14):
finale of station 19, because I know it kind of touched on it a little bit earlier. But the badass
moment where Karina gets, I knew that they were just doing this for the finale, but the Karina
moment where she dresses up in a firefighter suit and she's like, I'm coming with you, Ben. I'm
coming with you. I don't care. I'm pregnant. Yes. But I'm coming with you to deliver a baby because

(19:36):
you may be a doctor, but I am the doctor. And it's like a, I just love, I can't wait to hopefully
see Karina more on Grace, you know, watching DeLuca and her, the siblings, I really miss that
energy. I really hope, you know, her being on Grace and her and Joe's mentorship and being
pregnant at the same time. It should be very interesting all in all, all together, aside from,

(20:02):
you know, other things, but then we can get updates on station 19, et cetera. But Vic and Montgomery,
like that was my like, yes, yes moment. Like, you know, we need more of those type of my person,
my platonic soulmate in line. I know people are going to say, why do you hate, no, I don't.

(20:23):
I just keep saying that we need more of those and they're getting rid of that in Grace, which is
another thing that I'm going to argue about more. And yes, I know I'm going on these long tangents
about it, but it's true. They're getting rid of a lot of them for a variety of reasons, like they're
going to get rid of Helm and Schmidt are definitely platonic soulmates. I used to believe before they

(20:48):
screwed it up, Lincoln, Joe were and Alex and Mayor. But again, they've just like, they've gotten rid
of a lot of them. And I mean, Joe and Schmidt too, but I just meant Schmidt and Helm in a different
way. But it's just like always are you freaking kidding me right now? Like, you know, they got
rid of a lot of them along the way. And it's just like, do you have friendships or something? Do you

(21:10):
have, you know, that kind of stuff? Do you just want people to have fucked up relationships
everywhere? You know, it's just, it's very frustrating. And I think that they should know
with the loneliness that a lot of gents years or plenty of that they learned coming out through
COVID, that the reason that we need like healthy friendships to keep going, nothing,

(21:31):
whatever, because I think that people don't realize how fulfilling they can be as well. I'm not trying
to push like, though we shouldn't have this, we shouldn't. I'm just trying to say that we need to
show again, more healthy relationships, especially healthy friendships, like no competition between
women, which I know never. I mean, they've been getting better, but it just, it is what it is. And

(21:52):
you know, that's kind of where I'm going to end today. If you have any more questions about
things like that you can do to relieve some or learn about more of the issues, I will post links
in Gen Z Gab's bio about what you can do to help with creating awareness and space for, you know,

(22:14):
different types of advocacy that I mentioned earlier. Also, if you're just looking for something
kind of funny to watch over the weekend, which is a movie that has really helped me understand
some people in my life, especially people who are pansexual, it is the thing with Aerie. And yes,
it is the same people that are on grays. And yes, I'm upset that they still haven't made a reference

(22:37):
or joke yet on that, except for once on Instagram. And yes, I have selective memory with ADHD.
It's a great thing, because it's like, what, like you could tell me something five seconds ago,
but now, oh my gosh, and that's the same thing with why I have to like take breaks and make sure
that I'm going down my list that everything's correct, because I don't want to fail on this,

(22:59):
especially when I'm working alone. And yes, I'm creating a lot of little moments of like popcorn.
But you know, that's life. And we're here, not everyone's going to be perfect 100% of the time.
So I want people to this week, remember that you're not going to be perfect 100% of the time,
you're going to say stupid stuff, you just are, you're going to get controversial moments, yes.

(23:23):
And just take a deep breath, take care of yourself. I know that this is a struggle for a lot of women,
especially love yourself, try to do some self care. I know it's really weird what I'm saying.
But you know, I'm coming off of doing this podcast where I'm going to edit it down
and keep a lot of even my little flub moments. But I just want to say, be your authentic you,

(23:46):
because there's no one else like you. And I know, again, easier said than done.
But there is so much going on right now, false information, misinformation,
between a lot of other things like right now, I'm hyper fixated on a tongue tie, a cheek tie, etc.
And now I'm finding out that it's getting over diagnosed, but it's a thing with ADHD, etc.

(24:06):
And but so many people are going on crunchy parents are going on and saying, you need this,
this is causing this and like, we've got a cure list now, no, no, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no, no. So I wanted to say, if you're someone that's down on yourself, even on something
like that, and it's the weirdest thing to end with. But you know what, Grace and station 19,

(24:29):
always do a good job about talking about mental health. And I'm just very big here with how things
are going on in this world, just that mental health matters. Check on yourself, keep yourself
on loved ones together, you know, keep going checking in with each other, especially with the
horrendous news. That's basically how I'm going to summarize it. And you know, we will see you

(24:53):
soon. This has been episode 72 of Gen Z. Yeah.
