(00:00):
What is up everyone?

(00:04):
This is Sara G
It is Gen Z Gab and I'm just not going to bore you with my life details right now or any
of the stress or depression that may be coming in from the season or just my typical neurodivergence
because we don't need that energy.
I know it.
You know it.
Whatever.

(00:24):
And that's what this podcast kind of has become and I don't like it.
It's a sad fact but yeah it's a sad fact of life and you just kind of have to move on.
I mean the thing is that there's so much depressing things going on in the world right now.
Are we not going to talk about school shootings that have happened this week that some get
swept under the rug and not?
And the fact of the matter is that even you have Southerners commenting about how gun

(00:47):
control they want reasonable gun control because no reasonable person would have that AR-15
and so on and so forth like you know those automatic rifle that doesn't happen and it's
just so infuriating again you should follow people like every town.

(01:07):
Jason Winston George from you know station 19 Grey's Anatomy.
He's been doing a lot with it.
And speaking out there are so many other organizations that again I'll list but you
know I'm just so sick of it.
It's just disturbing I think about 10 years ago almost when I was put in lockdown because
of a drug deal gone wrong by some idiots in my school.

(01:31):
Now I'm not going to say that it's the same thing but we went into lockdown for a long
time we had no idea and the person was basically close because of the whole situation and you
don't know what those are going to happen and if anything it just keeps getting worse
and it's just so infuriating not to mention the whole stuff that's going on with Palestine,

(01:54):
Sudan, Congo, you name it and just the fact that nobody really wants to deal with that
in Congress and it's just like when people start saying like pick the lesser the two
evils no or the three evils like the fact of the matter is just you have to vote and
for Kamala because again third parties don't do much and the more research you do on third

(02:20):
party they're no longer as much better either and I just I mean people can do what they
want obviously it's just like what the frick is going on where it's like we don't have
any really decent options when it really comes down to it and I know people are going to
look at me like what are you talking about you talk about this every day but sure the

(02:41):
more that I keep following along the more research I do every week I just feel more
and more sickened by how everything is set up and it makes me start to even think of
a little bit like Hamilton and the whole way of their election and yada yada oh my gosh

(03:01):
there's just too much to be covered and again I don't want to drag other people down so
this is why I'm gonna move on to the Paralympics because the Paralympics are like stuff that
have been giving me a lot of hope and feeling like good about the world especially with
the fact of the matter of aside from this I don't watch dancing with the stars I won't

(03:24):
watch dancing with the stars but Steven is doing but Arnold Pummel is that their team
name and I would watch honestly again gymnastics with the stars someone left that comment gymnastics
with the stars that would be an amazing spin off just saying I could talk about that for

(03:45):
hour on hour on hour and you know I just want to talk about though again the Paralympics
why I loved watching them I could not get enough of Hunter Wood Hall obviously and his wife
Tara like they are the ultimate couple as well as just how hard they work and just the support

(04:07):
they have for each other it's just phenomenal meanwhile I also can't get over watching
Ezra Fenshin and his family and just how much you know the surrealism of watching you know
the whole family come together and just that emotion that leads with it not to mention
just watching all these athletes that are blind missing limbs you name it just being

(04:32):
able to do things that not others can and I just wish that you know they could move
up the Paralympics a little bit more like I don't like that there's so much time between
each Olympics I don't like when people refer to the refer to the Paralympics as not the
Olympics because that really bothers me and it's like I don't even like the word like

(04:56):
the North like they're all Olympians like I don't like it when people refer to it as
the normal Olympics and the Paralympics and I know that that's just what is the terms
language and I know that they don't always perform at level but I think that the Paralympics
have way more athletes that are insane that cook like I can't do what they do no but not

(05:24):
a lot of I'd like to see them try I'd like to see these other people try I'd like to
see the Olympians try to do what the Paralympians do I hate it when they use that like a term
that they're not on par with the regular Olympics like I hate those comments and I know that

(05:45):
what I'm saying is probably rallying some feathers by just calling it normal and now
I see why some people get frustrated because I can't find it but the tone the way that
we talk about it and yet I thought that Snoop Dogg was gonna do more and again it they didn't
and I it's a long time but people don't seem to give the same I know compared to four years

(06:08):
ago but it's just so infuriating that you know the Paralympians do just as hard of work
and there's not as much coverage and then there is more now than ever before but it's
still like we have to wait four more years to get another round to go and then it's just

(06:29):
all the same kind of things of like why isn't there as much hype around it why do we do
this why is this normalized and I think I just get frustrated as someone yes I know that
what I have is more invisible I know it's not technically a disability but you know
having these learning disabilities as well as just auto-eun issues like it's not the

(06:57):
same I don't think I'll ever understand exactly what they're going through but the fact that
they can achieve so much whereas I was told don't do this sport don't do that sport don't
and by the way I'm blind in my left eye and it's just super frustrating how sometimes
it felt like these kids got more encouragement instead of you can't do that and that's why

(07:22):
I have always had a soft spot for the Paralympics rather than like call it like a heartwarming
and all this stuff like you can do and like you know like some people like to put it down
a peg and be ableist and that's not what are treat people like they're invalids or whatever

(07:44):
and that's not true either I don't know I just think that there needs to be more of
a level field and obviously it is more positive and heartwarming but I just like have noticed
certain things surrounding it that's making me kind of go and reframing my brain and how
we talk about things because again it just there's just so many levels and I know it's

(08:14):
way more complicated than it needs to be and to articulate all your feelings correctly
but I just wanted to say again that I have loved watching the highlights you know peacock
I was having a troubled time streaming it on peacock which made me even more mad because
like that wasn't a problem with the other Olympics and you know it just frustrates

(08:41):
me when I'm trying to watch it in real time but yeah that's just kind of where I'm at
I do really appreciate watching just everything though being at least acknowledged more having
you know the camaraderie and as well as there was a side by side pick of you know the basketball

(09:07):
team USA from the Olympics and the Paralympic team like that made my heart really happy
to post that and just to see the differences I really hope you know to see some of these
athletes on the late night talk shows because that's really important to me again just how

(09:31):
we are able to kind of come together this is something that truly though in the world
that we live in where there's not like a lot of hope like I just felt way more hopeful
and it's just you know I've just had a lot of negative feelings and maybe it's what I've
kind of been talking about just with my outfit and I'm trying to be more positive and trying

(09:55):
to work through a bunch of things and the fact of matter is maybe I'm a glass half empty
person and that's part of life or maybe it's because I've seen a lot of videos with like
other neuro divergent people who have felt the same way and yet it's like when I look
at some of these other people who have had struggles in their life and I wish I could

(10:18):
be as positive as them we can't keep comparing ourselves to others and we think that's another
lesson that's really hard to re calibrate your mind to do so because again I can look
at all these Paralympic athletes I know people have good days and bad days but I just want
more of that energy I want to put out more of that energy that these Olympian Paralympic

(10:42):
all these athletes put out because it seems like that's going better and I know that maybe
I'm putting too much pressure on myself or putting these people on a pedestal but it's
just like it's just something that can remind me you know with all the bad that's going
on in the world there's some good there's some team there's some love there's world

(11:05):
joy I don't know how else to describe it and I just think that we need to be more mindful
again yesterday I was horseback riding and I haven't done a trailer I didn't have a really
long time and I rode this giant horse and you know just for reference I'm about five
nine so I mean I probably need a taller horse to begin with but there's just something a

(11:29):
little peaceful about just kind of riding around now did I want a canner did I want
to try yes did my horse want to a hundred percent but I think if there was just like
something that was good about just staying in the moment just being in the world just
watching everything happen because again sometimes you don't take enough time to step back with

(11:52):
all the craziness in the world to just see what is actually going on in front of you
because again I know there's a lot of things that need to be changed I know there's a lot
of things that need to be fixed and especially things that you know are horrible in the world
with genocides and you know ableism etc but at the end of the day sometimes it's also

(12:22):
okay for you to be like let's put the phone down let's just get back to where you are
present and I know people are gonna say why do you bounce around a lot again the ADHD
no matter how hard I try and again I just keep apologizing for myself even though I know
that I shouldn't have to do this there's a lot of things I shouldn't have to do and

(12:45):
I'm trying to work on it but I think just the self-awareness the mindfulness and just
seeing other people talk very similarly works out well and again I've talked about just
like how animals just really help me out and make me see some things in the world and yeah
no you don't have to rush everything in life but it just feels like at the same time a

(13:09):
lot of things are at a standstill like I keep constantly repeating to myself and I know that
it's off-top all these things that feeling are all these things I want to achieve and
that's just not it I'm not here to tell you I'm not here to give you a business guide
the five things you need to do not any of that like cold like following things that

(13:32):
a lot of these influencers or content creators are even like acting people do because I also
want to say that like another thing I've noticed because this again with all this like drama
going on between everything yes I focused on the Paralympics and the Olympics and all
the heartwarming stuff and I said I wasn't gonna drag down or drag out so much of the

(13:54):
other craziness but at the same time I think when you watch how many people get famous
for no reason or how many people claim to be experts on things it just gets a little tiring
and it feels like if I doing this correctly and then you realize well yes you are because
you're not scamming people and I know people are gonna look at me like Sarah why do you

(14:18):
keep repeating the scamming thing over and over again because it's a thing that I believe
in justice I believe in you know I'm not here to give you advice because I don't know I'm
not an expert I don't want to pretend like I'm an expert and everyone you know giving
accolades to all these people who really should not be giving advice or should be having a

(14:41):
platform so I get frustrated and then I see it with real experts real doc and then I see
this with doctors who then become MLM specialists and it's just so so infuriating to watch the
people who work with real guts and real integrity you know constantly get the short end of the

(15:03):
stick and then it also makes me think about how well Sarah yeah you talk about this a
lot but it's true remind yourself that you know the tortoise beats the hare and you
know the person who's the loudest doesn't get the best results it's just who gets heard

(15:23):
the most and I know I know I know that you know the things that you do on social media
to get you more noticed and I know that I do some cringy stuff on social media but at
the same time I'm also trying to be authentically me well not telling people how to act or behavior
here's the 500 steps to getting to your next millionaire project and I think that I talk

(15:50):
too much about this obviously but it's just another theme especially as you know the year
starts kind of whining down there's only so much that you can do as a person and you
know it's like who we talk about people who peek here and there or how everyone sorting

(16:13):
kids are and I just start to lose my mind a little bit when I am taking all of this
so now as we switch gears because you know the good the bad the ugly the variety the
everything and anything that Gen Z Gab is I'm going to talk a little bit about some news
and and yeah so here's some start of you know just the whole drama trauma like airing out

(16:41):
dirty laundry that you know teen mom Caitlyn is doing now I understand a lot of things
especially from the infertility industry again I follow a bunch of people from the
infertility industry the adoption industry I know how exploitative it is I understand

(17:06):
that and I understand putting like on full blast what is happening with this specific
industry especially because I follow people like adopt these thoughts and Laura hi who
talk a lot about educating from a different point of view either from an adopt the point

(17:27):
of view or from a sperm donor or donor conceived kid and Jacobo Ballard etc etc again completely
great amazing people to learn from and understand and hear their takes on these things my problem
is and again I'm trying to not talk too much about this because this involves a kid and

(17:54):
you know they're right to a privacy and the mom is just going on a inch the bio mom the
life so yes well I do think that their adoption process their whole thing like I've said beforehand
was an exploitative agency etc yes but the way that it keeps getting handled the way

(18:17):
that the parents keep going on a inch and they want to see that's what I think making
it a lot harder for the kids to deal with maybe some of these emotions and again you
don't know everything again we don't know everything that's going on behind the scenes
we just see these weird moments all over the place and we'll never really know and for

(18:41):
anyone says that that kid should write a tell off like this kid doesn't owe us anything
okay those kids don't owe us anything those kids are kind of like the family vloggers
where they've just been followed around the whole life alright they don't they don't
owe us anything they've been in the spotlight since they were baby babies etc and just the

(19:05):
whole thing is kind of weird now it used to be kind of a guilty pleasure to watch as weird
as that seems and as awful as that seems to admit but right now it's like at this point
knowing what you know it's just not as much but again that adopting kid won't fix your
trauma the you know donor conception all that has been stated it doesn't fix the trauma

(19:30):
you have from your infertility as well as it doesn't fix the trauma that the bio parents
etc have or the fact that you know it becomes like the man with 100 kids plus or 1000 kids
you know what I mean so yeah and so much more again there's so many other things to talk
about obviously but I just kind of had that pop into my head obviously there's a huge

(19:57):
loss in the world right now which was the actor James Earl Jones known as move Fossa
kind of the king the dad of the world I mean it it's very sad I know that he was 92 I know
he retired fully in 2022 but yes right now just my heart is with his family I feel for

(20:23):
anyone who got the pleasure of meeting him working with him obviously he was a big icon
to me growing up like that voice the way of the narration I mean look there's a lot of
voice actors of a lot of actors I look up to but he was one of them because of the way
that he was able to convey a story and be able to just have so much versatility and

(20:48):
he used just that commanding voice to just feel the presence I know that sounds a little
odd the way that I'm putting it but that is just what I wanted to be able to do if I
was ever I know my voice is completely different like let's not go there I just met if I was
ever gonna try to convey a story I'd love to be able to be at that level and I know

(21:13):
that that's virtually impossible especially because they asked him on the new Lion King
movie to re-voice move Fossa that's how good he is and also yes my heart is with Eric Foreman
Leah Foreman all of that Foreman family and El Fictionist characters of the 90s show 70s

(21:35):
show but if they were in that 2020s show yeah my heart is with yeah my heart is with Eric
Foreman on that but yeah there's just like a lot of things going on like from one end
to the next but one thing that really warmed my heart that you know aside from all this
sadness all this bad all this whatever I saw a recent clip of a man who I think he was

(22:07):
born in Dubai or he was Palestinian I'm not really sure but he immigrated over to Ireland
became an Irish citizen and then learned how to play Irish ball and now he's working in
Dubai stuff like that and then now he's teaching refugee kids from Palestine how to play this

(22:27):
and you know it's just a lot of little things and before anyone says why is that it's just
like I don't know it was just like a pick me up that I needed to see I don't know why but
just there's so much going on in my brain right now that for a Monday especially it's

(22:47):
kind of hard for me to say and again where it's hard to be like believing that the world
has good and stuff and so those little moments aside from like of course the Paralympics and
Olympics but there's other little things that go on in the world that make me kind of go
okay and I'm not trying to resort to saviorism or anything I'm just looking for little moments

(23:13):
of joy in this f-dup country in this way of life in the way of how you know gun laws are
etc as well as violence and just the parts of politics you know and like I say like rewatching
the same shows over and over again yeah that's my ADHD OCD so by the way if you want to like

(23:36):
really figure out or feel relatable go and look at a article on Yahoo about ADHD in women
because I think that summarizes my life story a lot easier and could help others I know people
are going to look at me like this is the weirdest thing I guess saying because again jumping

(23:57):
around but that's just where I'm at you know this is what I do every you know few weeks
on Gen Z gap I'm trying to make the change so that everyone who is you know being the
amazing people that they are trying to listen to my podcast every week I'm trying to make
it a bi-weekly thing and you know iTunes is not letting me fix that as well and I know

(24:22):
people are going to look at me like why is she ranting about this at the end because
it's been really annoying and you know it's just so like you try to do everything it's
like making rice in the instant pot and I know people are going to say what is this algae
like I like my rice crispy almost burnt like paya style okay and then other people like

(24:47):
it's sticky like sushi rice and then yeah that's kind of what my life is like right
now like again I don't know my next point I don't know what's going to happen with all
this I feel like I'm in my sticky rice arrow not my crispy rice era and I know that sounds
so weird but yes that's where life is messy life is sticky life is not full of flavor

(25:15):
or new experiences and you're just kind of here also I want to take a quick moment to
say if somebody has perina I'm not calling out perina per se but I do know that there
have been a few cases of pet food having like flies moss you name it and you know just if
your dogs or cat has seemed off lately I just would look into it or if you went to the vet

(25:42):
because they had an upset stomach and you started to give them their regular food again and
then that started to you can catch my drift so yeah there's that but yeah I'm not boycotting
perina whatsoever I don't think it's like I have nothing against kibble I just want

(26:03):
to tell people to look out for some stuff because there was a video of especially a well known
therapist who does oh CD shows on armchair expert Allegra I just want people to know that
she had an issue and then now I'm starting to see a little issue and then I see other
people here and there and the fact that it hasn't really been talked about much that's

(26:29):
a different thing but again I'm not saying oh my gosh kibble's the worst thing or let's
boycott it all no I'm just saying let's keep that in mind and if your dog or cat starts
like behaving a little weird or feeling like their stomach is extra gassy or upset there's
that again I am not a vet please take your dog to the vet if or cat or pet or whatever

(26:50):
to the vet if it's showing signs of distress and stuff I am not I'm just saying that that's
a deduction that I'm going through right now and that maybe just maybe you know ironically
it's the kibble that something's wrong with that you might need to buy a different brand
of kibble so that you don't wind up with the you know digestive health of the vet one that

(27:16):
costs 10 times more than you know the regular conventional brand diet that might be similar
I don't know but that's where I'm at in life like where I talk about just the constant
ping pong ping pong that I'm doing and again I could talk about so much more obviously
so many more political moments so many more Olympic moments so many more you know so many

(27:41):
more celebrities that have been cancelled because again of their shitty viewpoints etc and yes
everyone talks about cancel culture these days and cancel culture is this an x y and
z and whatever but again the problematic people still somehow have platform like I will never
understand how like JC Kallen, Trisapeda, all of them the vlog squad people have this

(28:05):
and you know what I'm okay with you know the situation of me listing off these names saying
these names and if it comes back to bite me in the ass fine because at the end of the
day I've never been popular I've never had popular thoughts again 10 years later from
high school like I was a junior in high school almost 10 years ago or 10 years ago I have

(28:28):
been known like to be a little more opinionated clearly by listening to stuff like this but
yes this is what I'm talking about I don't care I've never been popular amongst peers
especially because of neurodivergent ADHD which is why I say go and check out that article

(28:48):
because again it explains my life to a T and the fact that neurodivergent people especially
ADHD OCD or you know autistic people or anyone on those kind of spectrum of neurodivergence
we tend to see through bullshit even if you know it takes a little while longer and then

(29:10):
once we finally see it then it's like holy crap we want justice and justice so again
don't mess with your ADHD friends or don't mess with this and that etc like trust me
you will I hate to throw around the word like Neville Paperman but rue the day you will

(29:32):
rue the day if you do but again also another side note is that there's just so much going
on right now that I think we need to end this podcast on a lighter note so again go and
check out some of the Olympians especially Steve and his pommel horse and the Arnold

(29:56):
Palmer and you'll see a lot of behind the scenes stuff again national treasure in the
making and I definitely again just emphasizing how much I'd watch gymnastics with the stars
just saying especially because they you know like potentially the fact that you could maybe
get some own bios and her husband etc to try out some of the things like pommel horse

(30:19):
and then everyone else trying the different like types of gymnastics I don't know this
is just yeah a whole different level not like American Ninja Warrior where you have to be
like the top of the top of the top of the top top speed athlete like that does this insane
jungle gym no I'm talking about the most basic of the basic because you start to realize

(30:42):
that you're not as athletic as you are but again you still can kick the ass of most normal
people so this has been episode 81 of Gen Z gap hopefully I didn't depress you too much
and we will see you real soon k bye.
