Is there something that burdens your heart? Something that's been passed down within your family for generations? Maybe it's not a tangible thing or maybe it is. Maybe it runs deeper than the roots of your DNA. It's an invisible weight that doesn't show up on the scale, but once had a seat at your parents' dinner table as it was being shaped and molded into the person you are today.
We don't have to fear the things that have plagued our family for generations if we're willing to take them by the horns and truly confront them head on. It's time for us - as black people to unbecome what we've been taught to be when we were young. I'm talking about becoming unbound from mental, spiritual, and emotional bondage - the kind of bondage that we can't tangibly see or feel because it's entering our bodies and minds through our environment and energy system.
