In Day 39 of our 40-Day "Journey with Jesus: A Lenten Reflection", we dive in to John 19:30 NKJV.
Dear brothers and sisters,
Today we remember the sacrifice of Jesus through His crucifixion on that cross and all of the trauma He suffered throughout the entire day. There were many events that transpired on that day that we could have discussed. There was the kangaroo court that convicted Him, the scourging by the Romans, and the substitution deal of Barabbas that was offered and accepted by the Jewish leadership. Then there was His frank discussion about truth and the sovereignty of His Father with Pontius Pilate as well as the brutal beating and crucifixion that He endured including the conversations with the other two men on crosses beside Him.
Out of all those events, there was one particular event that caught our attention that we would like to share with you. We invite you to join us on today’s podcast as we dive into that section of this passage.
Daily Scripture:
“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” John 19:30 NKJV
