When the world was shutting down, Todd Tilghman’s career was taking off. In this episode of the Get Over It Podcast, Mickey Bell discusses the Voice with 2020 winner Todd Tilghman.
Todd’s experience with the voice was shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic, as the voice shifted to virtually-based performances. Contestants were shipped recording equipment to film their own songs, and because of this each song took hours. Todd is thankful for the opportunities the show has given him, but he also believes that he lost certain benefits to pandemic lockdowns. Todd is a father of eight children and started his adulthood as a youth pastor. From this experience, he learned the importance of faith and family, influencing his music and career trajectory.
