A Jeep named Blasphemy idled outside a church he never meant to visit—and a single text pushed the door open. What followed wasn’t a lightning bolt but a slow, stubborn grace that met a former Luciferian in his grief, his doubts, and his need for peace. We sit down with Frederick to trace the path from fear-based power to a life anchored in Christ, including the moment he saw a cross “lit” that shouldn’t have been, the day he renounced the enemy out loud on a lonely road, and the quiet practices that turned turmoil into clarity.

We also dig into a question that confuses and scares many: can Christians be possessed by demons? With biblical grounding and help from Dr. Andrew Farley’s teaching, we draw a firm line—indwelt by the Holy Spirit means not possessed. The enemy’s weapons are accusation, deception, and distraction from the outside, but our identity in Christ—holy, forgiven, a new creation—secures the inside. That shift moves us from demon-focused anxiety to Jesus-centered confidence.

Finally, we get practical about living a victorious life. Not hype—habits. We talk discipline that looks like devotion: reading Scripture in context, praying out loud when the mind runs wild, choosing daily to walk as a child of God with power, love, and a sound mind. If you’ve wrestled with dark nights, lingering shame, or the lies that keep you small, this story and the truths we unpack will help you stand tall in the light.

If this conversation encouraged you, share it with a friend who needs hope today. Subscribe for more real stories and leave a quick review—it helps more people find the reminder that Jesus changes everything.

RonMeyers (00:22):
Hello, my friends.
It's wonderful to be with youtoday.
My name is Ron Myers.
I am your host for the showcalled Get the Hell Out of Your

Life (00:29):
Real Stories, Real Struggles, and Real Hope.
Today, we have a story ofredemption.
Joining me in the studio is agentleman named Frederick, who
is currently driving a Jeep hehas named Redemption.
Before this Jeep, he drove onehe named Blasphemy.
He was not a believer.
He was actually a member of theSatanic Church.

(00:53):
Frederick is here to share hisincredible story, and I must
say, I'm amazed he is alive totell it.
Later in the commentary, I wantto get real with you.
There is a lot of darkness inthis world, and the enemy seeks
to instill fear in us.
He wants us to hide away in acave and not emerge until Jesus

(01:13):
returns.
But I have news for him.
A boldness has emerged acrossthe world over the past few
weeks.
And as believers, we are nolonger accepting this nonsense.
We know who we are in Jesus, and our light will drive out the
darkness.
I will share how to live avictorious life.
But first, let's listen toFrederick's testimony.

Frederick (01:36):
Originally, dad was Air Force.
We did a lot of traveling.
I got here probably about eightor nine years old.
We moved to Biloxi.
My mom's from here.
We got moved down into Bay St.
Louis and then moved over toBiloxian.
I've been here ever since.
I do consider myself aBiloxian.
As a child, did you go tochurch?
Yes.
We went to uh Episcopalianchurch.

(01:58):
So you heard about Jesus at ayoung age?
Correct.
Yes.
So were you active in thechurch?
I was young, not very active.
There was always other thingsI'd rather be doing besides
sitting in church, climbingtrees and such.
We didn't have video games backthen.

RonMeyers (02:13):
What age were you introduced to the satanic
church?
And how did you get involved?

Frederick (02:20):
It started off probably about between 10 and 12
years old.
And I just turned against God.
See movies and the the evilside seemed to be more romantic.
And it it started off, youknow, I just went to school one
day and told a a friend, youknow, Satan was the greatest.

(02:40):
And it it went from there.

RonMeyers (02:42):
So obviously you told this to somebody because you
wanted their approval, or youwanted were they into Satan?

Frederick (02:49):
No, they they just for the most part people
laughed, you know, at that age.
But then it became a thing.
You know, everybody was like, well, Freddie's a devil
worshiper.
And uh were you?
Not a practicing.
It started off because Ithought it would make me cool.
I thought that it would makepeople fear me.
And it did, you know, as I grewup through middle school and

(03:11):
high school, some of the girlsthought, you know, I was mystic.
And as I kept going with it, Ikept reading and reading what?
There were certain books that Icould get my hands on at young
age.
Middle school, uh, you could goto the library and check things
out.
And I ended up buying theNecronomicon.
There were times when when Icould get my hands on

(03:35):
information.
And uh when you're trying tostrike fear into other people
who are not educated, so tospeak, you can do that.
You know, you can threaten themwith spells and it makes them
fear you.
Fear, unfortunately, is uh avery powerful thing to use.
Well, and then they have moviescome out like Harry Potter and

(03:55):
back then it the movies weremore along the lines of
Hellraiser, different thingsfrom that genre.

RonMeyers (04:01):
Was there a part within the satanic church that
you were getting smarter andsmarter and more powerful and
that you were rising in theranks?

Frederick (04:09):
Well, as a as a teenager, there wasn't really a
church that I could go to.
I'm sure there was, but Ididn't.
And understand I try some ofthe rituals by myself.
As I grew older, then I becamepart of a group out of uh city
down here.

RonMeyers (04:26):
That that that's what I want on a short time, that's
really one I want to get intobecause there is a lot of people
right now, Fred.
A lot of people don't knowthis, but the occult is very
strong here on the Gulf Coast.

Frederick (04:37):
It's strong everywhere, it's just people
don't realize it.
Now, the internet has made it alittle bit easier to understand
how many different people areSatanist.
What are you saying?
Well, devil worshiping is justsomething people do to be cool.
It's not even a religion.
Satanism is where you basicallyas a person believe you're

(04:59):
either there is no God and thereis only evil, or you're as
powerful as God.
He has no power.
A Luciferian believes thatSatan is more powerful than God.
And unfortunately, even to thisday, even with the change of
beliefs, evil is everywhere andyou can see it, and it makes you

(05:19):
wonder why there's so much ofit.
That's basically I I believe.

RonMeyers (05:23):
But you must have, in this time before you met Jesus,
there must have been a timethat you were practicing evil
things, saying evil things, acting like an evil person,
dressing like an evil person.

Frederick (05:35):
I was always parents instilled respect and manners in
me.
I was I was not your typicalmovie-style Satanist.
I didn't have the dark clothes, the dark makeup, and that to me
that was just stupid.

RonMeyers (05:47):
So, what are your parents telling you?
Oh, that's just Fred goingthrough one of those stages,
playing with the devil.
He'll come back to normal oneof these days.

Frederick (05:54):
I I was a troubled child.
Unfortunately, I wasn't normal.
I had times I had to go throughtherapy.
The whole time I was growingup, I was on medication.
Well, you were like me.
You were a wild child.
Yes.
I back in 1970 when I was born.
My dad tells a story 18 monthsold.
They took me to the doctor andsaid, There's something wrong

(06:16):
with this child.
He won't stay still, very wild.
And the doctor says, That'snormal for an 18-month-old
child.
And my dad says, So we tookyour leash off of you.
And as you were climbing hisfull wall of books, his eyes
were extremely wide wide, and hesays, Something's wrong with
that kid.
The doctor said that?

(06:37):
Yes, wrote a prescription forapparently me and mom.
I don't know if I would call itautistic, but I had problems.
You couldn't touch me withoutcausing pain to me.
And then as I grew older, justmy thoughts weren't correct.
I had zero empathy for humanbeings, a hundred percent
empathy for animals.

(06:57):
I've I've always been an animallover.
That's the only time I've Icried.
Not anymore, but that was theonly time I cried was for the
death of an animal.
The human didn't bother me.
Other people's problems, I justlaughed at them.

RonMeyers (07:11):
So when you're walking in this life as a
Satanist, Luciferian, I guess Ishould say, what are you saying
to people that say you need tosee, you need Jesus, you need
Jesus?
People had to have told youthat.

Frederick (07:21):
At that time, there was I read the Bible a lot
because I wanted to know myenemy.
So I couldn't quote meaning Godwas your enemy.
Yes.
I could not quote the verse, but I could tell you things in
the Bible that were there.
And I could throw outcontradictions and arguments
using quotes out of the Bible.

RonMeyers (07:40):
So you're manipulating and deceiving
people.
That's the gift of aLuciferian.
So what happened?
There had to be a point thatyou had to call out to Jesus.

Frederick (07:49):
I met a woman a long time ago, and uh she's a
Christian, not a church-goingChristian, but her faith has
never wavered.
Met her, we got married, hadkids.

RonMeyers (08:00):
She's a Christian, and you she marries you and
you're still a Luciferian?
Yes.
And she knew this.
Yes.
So she probably had a mission.
She was going to change you.

Frederick (08:09):
Little did I know.
Uh I tell everybody to thisday, I told them long time ago,
because at the time that I mether, I was probably in the
evilest time of my life, and Iwas doing a lot of things that
people should not be doing.

RonMeyers (08:23):
You were living in the dark side, but the light
side wanted you, and you nowmarried someone that was going
to introduce you to the light.

Frederick (08:30):
I ended up letting her, I told her, you're going to
handle the kids as far asreligion goes.
The only thing is not going toforce feed it to them.
I allowed her and the kids tohave their thing.
And I respected that.
I will always, even at thattime, I respected my wife's
faith.
I occasionally would attackher, but she never wavered.

(08:51):
But I didn't want the kids togrow up knowing the anger and
the hatred for the world that Ihad.
So I let her handle all that.
My kids now are kind of amazedat the journey that their dad
has gone through.
It's not been easy.
So how did she bring Jesus intoyour heart?
There was a previousrelationship that I had.
Me and that girl had two sons.

(09:13):
And I guess it's been abouteight years ago.
My son was killed by policeofficers in Ocean Springs.
Bob, I'm sorry to hear that.
I had a co-worker that I workedwith who was a Christian,
always played Christian music.
And every time a conversationwould come up, if I was in
earshot of it about God, I'dhave to walk over there and

(09:34):
attack them.
Well, the Bible says this andthe Bible says that, and you're
wrong because of this.
And the only thing that manever said to me was, Come to
church one day.
I used to laugh.
If I walk in that church, theceiling's gonna crack.
I don't go to church.
Especially being as your Goddoesn't live there anyways.
You know, things like that.
And I was working nightclubsecurity just as a hobby, and it

(09:58):
was extra spending money.
I caught myself, I got offprobably about 4:35 o'clock in
the morning, went home, andsleep for an hour or two.
I got up one morning, this wasafter my son's death, and I got
in my Jeep, was driving down theroad, good sunny morning, pull
off.
I it's not when I opened myeyes, but when I realized where

(10:19):
I was, I was sitting in front ofthis church.
I'm staring at the front doorof this church in my Jeep named
Blasphemy, and my phone goesoff.
There's nobody outside thischurch.
My phone dings.
I glance down, look, it's atext message from my coworker.
It says, uh, don't be scared, come inside.
I still don't know why I wasthere.
I do now.

(10:40):
So I walk inside, really largechurch, local church, sunglasses
on, walk over and have aconversation with him, and I
walk over and he's he's pointingout different things in the
church where everybody sits andstuff like that.
I'm not going to sit with allthose hypocrites.
So I walk over and lean againsta wall, and this was probably
30 minutes or so before thesermon starts.

(11:01):
People kept walking up, shakinghis hand, and and for some odd
reason there was probably fouror five different people, and
they just looked at me and said,Are you okay?
You know, I've got on mysunglasses, so I know they can't
see my eyes.
Yeah, I'm fine.
First thought in my head is,Why are you even talking to me?
Sermon starts.
The preacher goes into, or thepastor goes into his sermon, and

(11:22):
the whole time I'm watchingthis, needing to argue.
My brain is just telling me toblurt out the truth.
Respectfully, I just leanedagainst the wall.
So the end of the sermonhappens and everybody's milling
about, and I glance over and offto the side of the church is
this huge cross up against awall, and it's all lit up.

(11:43):
I told my buddy Chris, said,I'll be back.
I walked over there and pulleda chair up in front of the cross
and spun it around, sat down.
I said, All right, God, I'mhere.
Now's the time if you want totalk to me.
And it was total silence.
Nothing.
I didn't I didn't feelanything.
I didn't think I felt anything.
I didn't hear anything.

(12:04):
I couldn't even hear peoplemulling about behind me or or
talking.
It was just total silence.
So I just I wiped away thetears, got up, said, okay, I
gave up on you 30 years ago.
I guess now it's your turn.
So I turned around and walkedout.
I didn't say bye to anybody.
Got in my Jeep, went home.
Monday morning rolls around.

(12:24):
Chris walks up to me.
He says, Where'd you go?
You walked off like you weregoing to talk to somebody.
I said, I did.
He said, You know somebody elsethere?
I said, trust me.
I don't know him.
I went back to work.
About an hour or so later, samequestion.
Where'd you go?
I said, I went to talk tosomebody.
And this this went on all daylong with 30, 40 minute breaks

(12:45):
between our conversations.
The last time he asked, Ifinally said, I went and sat
down in front of the cross, tried to talk to God.
He wasn't home.
What made you do that?
I said, I don't know.
The cross was all lit up.
I figured, what the hell?
Let me go sit down and see whyI'm here.
Because I still don't know whatmade me go to church that day.
And just nonchalantly, he said, the cross isn't lit up.

(13:06):
I said, look, don't start this.
And I turned around and walkedoff.
Tuesday rolls around, sameconversation.
Almost word for word, sameconversation.
Cross isn't lit up.
I said, look, don't play thisChristian mumbo jumbo game with
me.
I created that game.
And he says, I'm telling you,the cross isn't lit up.
I'm said, I'm telling you itis.

(13:26):
There's spotlights on theceiling, Chris.
Those spotlights aren't on.
Don't play this game with me.
Wednesday rolls around.
We have the same argument.
We're talking about the samething.
To the point I made him callthe pastor.
And he comes back to me and hesays, Pastor says those lights
aren't on.
I said, whatever.
I said, I'll tell you what,Sunday, I'm going to come down
there.
I'm going to walk in the door, prove my point, and I'm walking

(13:49):
out.
So I get there the next Sunday, walk in, meet with Chris, grab
a cup of coffee.
We're walking through towardsthe cross.
The spotlights are on.
And the pastor is in there.
And he stops, and I can hearhim and Chris talking, and I'm
staring at the cross.
And the pastor said, Chris, I'mglad you called because it
reminded me to turn those lightson.

(14:09):
They haven't been on in months.
Again, I knew somebody wasplaying a game.
And I said, Chris, see, spotlights are on.
I said, if you look and see,the spotlights are pointed at
the wall.
They weren't on the cross.
Only the cross was lit up thatday.
And I sat there and I wiped acouple of tears out of my eyes,
and he just pats me on the armand said, There's your sign.

(14:30):
So was that the date you cameto Jesus?
I went and leaned against thewall again.
Went through that sermon, listening this time, instead of
wanting to argue.
And the next Sunday, and thenext Sunday, and the next
Sunday.
Eventually, there were manyother things that started
happening.
My dreams after that day gotreally horrible.
I've always had bad dreams, butthey got really intense.

(14:52):
It got to a point one day I'mdriving home from work after
just a horrible day.
And I'm probably look like alunatic to people driving by me.
I'm screaming at the top of mylungs.
I'm done with you, Satan.
Leave me alone.
And I have no idea how I knewto do it, but I said I rebuke
you in the name of the Lord.
Leave me alone.

(15:12):
I'm done.
You lied to me for too long.
And my dreams stopped thatnight.
I still dream, but they're notbad anymore.
I have different situationswhere that made me realize he
was talking to me.
I just couldn't hear him.
I didn't know how to hear him, didn't know how to listen.
To this day I still haveproblems praying.

(15:34):
I have to pray out loud becausetoo many different things go
running through my brain when Itry to do it quietly.
I've read that they say if ifyou pray, it should be silent so
that Satan can't hear whatyou're praying about, because he
can only hear what comes out ofyour mouth.
As time went on, I kept goingto church.
It got closer to Chris.
We had deeper conversations.

(15:56):
There were a couple ofinstances and a list of days
that things weren't going good.
And I didn't know whether I hadmade the right choice, which is
really ignorant because God'sthe one that makes the choice
for you.
I uh I'm driving down the roadone morning, 6:30 in the
morning, on the way to work, andI'm just trying to do this

(16:17):
praying thing that Chris was andmy wife have tried to teach me
about.
So I'm talking out loud and Isaid, God, you know, if I'm on
the right path, if I'm doing theright thing, I need to feel or
see something.
I need to hear your voice as astreet light popped on as I'm
driving by.
I'm like, okay, thank you.
And uh that's where it allstarted.

(16:38):
I ended up now, I'm not whatyou would call a Christian.
Chris taught me that I'm adisciple because I'm learning,
and I learn every day.
Every single day I'm I'mreading a verse, and I'm reading
before and after, so thecontext is correct.
Which is the easiest way toattack people is to take things
out of context.
Every day I learn somethingthat's in the Bible that most

(17:01):
people didn't know was there.

RonMeyers (17:04):
When I return, can believers be possessed by Satan?

Announcement (17:09):
You're listening to Get the Hell Out of Your Life
with your host, Ron Myers.
Real stories, real struggles, and real hope.

Ad (17:19):
Satan is fighting for your soul.
He will do anything to deceiveand discourage you so that you
will not trust God.
The Bible says you will keep inperfect peace those whose minds
are steadfast because theytrust in you.
This means those who trust Godcan have a peace that defeats
Satan and brings us under God'sprotection.

(17:39):
If you would like to learn howto have a personal relationship
with Jesus Christ and have thatperfect peace, then call or text
us at 888 Meet Him.

RonMeyers (18:16):
So the question is, can believers be possessed by
the devil?
Years ago, I used to believethat.
As a matter of fact, when I wasdoing outreach ministry and I
met a Christian who thought theywere fighting a demon inside
them, I would go up to thatperson, place my hand on them,
and declare, I rebuke the devilin the name of Jesus.

(18:36):
But as life went on and I got alittle wiser, I discovered
through good Bible teaching thata Christian cannot be possessed
by a demon.
As a Christian, Jesus isdwelling inside of you.
In fact, I have a clip from myfavorite internet preacher, Dr.
Andrew Farley from Dallas,Texas.
Let's listen to what he saysabout a demon possessing

(18:59):
Christians.

Dr.AndrewFarley (19:00):
The reality is what sets us free is that the
enemy cannot touch us.
Are there fiery darts coming atus?
Yes, but they are from theoutside.
It's not the enemy creeping into indwell us or, you know,
we're not possessed by theenemy.
We can't be.
God cleaned house, he moved in,and he does not share us with a

(19:20):
demon.
So, you know, again, the ironyis there because we've got these
Christians who become teachers, quite frankly, in some cases
when they shouldn't be, and allthey're doing is scaring other
Christians to death with watchout for that demon, watch out
for that devil, watch out forthat enemy.
And there's so many Christiansthat are consumed with the
enemy, they've got no time tofix their eyes on Jesus.

(19:43):
So look at what the gospel hasdone for us.
I mean, what God has donethrough the gospel is this He
has rigged it so that we canthink about Jesus.
How has he rigged it?
Well, you don't have to thinkabout your sins anymore.
You're forgiven.
You're forgiven, your sins areforgotten, so you don't have to
be obsessed with your past, youdon't have to be consumed with

(20:04):
your sins, you can fix your eyeson Jesus.
Well, what about yourself?
Well, you don't have to befixated on yourself either.
Your old self died, you're anew self, a new creation.
You're holy, you're righteous,you're blameless, you're indwelt
by Christ.
He's for you.
There's no condemnation forthose in Christ.
So you can not have to worryabout your sins, and you don't

(20:25):
have to worry about yourself, and you certainly don't have to
worry about Satan a bunch.
Instead, you recognize he's notable to touch you.
So then what are you going tobe preoccupied with?
And the answer is simple Jesus.
Jesus.
Jesus.
Now really think about that.

RonMeyers (20:42):
No, a demon cannot possess a Christian.
As believers, we are indwelt bythe Holy Spirit, and God's
presence within us means thatSatan cannot take residence in
us.
First John 4.4 assures us thatgreater is he who is in you than
he who is in the world, highlighting the power and

(21:05):
protection we have through theHoly Spirit.
Additionally, first John 5 18states that the evil one cannot,
cannot touch us, affirming oursecurity in Christ.
You see, when we come to faithin Jesus, we are given a new
heart and a new spirit.
That's Ezekiel 36, 26 through27.

(21:28):
We are joined to the Lord asone spirit with him, 1
Corinthians 6, verse 17.
This union with Christ meansthere is no room for a demon to
possess us.
While Satan can still attemptto deceive and accuse us, his
attacks are external and cannotpenetrate the indwelling

(21:48):
presence of God within us.
Therefore, as Christians, wecan rest assured in the truth
that we are protected by God andcannot be possessed by demons.
Our focus should be on renewingour minds with the truth of the
gospel and standing firm in ouridentity in Christ.
So now I have another question.
How can we live a victoriouslife?

(22:11):
How do we overcome darkfeelings, oppression, and
depression?
Those moments that can make uswant to hide away in fear.
I found an insightful answerwhile watching Charlie Kirk's
memorial service.
One of the speakers, Dr.
Larry Orne, shared someprofound thoughts that I would

(22:32):
like to convey.
After that, I will unpack thewisdom in what he said.

Dr.LarryArn (22:38):
I have uh one short story to tell you about Charlie
Kirk, my friend.
He became a friend of minebecause I interrogated him one
time.
19-year-olds are my specialty.
I asked him some questions hecouldn't answer.
And he was already becomingfamous.
And I noticed his reaction.
He said, What should I do?
And I said, Well, you have tosuffer.

(23:00):
If you want to grow, you haveto suffer.
Hard to learn.
End of the night.
Crack at dawn in the morning.
Start with the Bible.
Read the classics.
Study the founding of America.
In those places, you will findthat there's a ladder that
reaches up toward God.

(23:21):
And at the bottom of it is theordinary good things that are
around us everywhere.
If we can call them by theirnames, they have being.
And the beings of the goodthings are figments of God.
You will find that article inAristotle.
You will find it in the Bible.
You will find it in Madison andJefferson.

(23:42):
How do I learn that?
He said.
You have to study.
You have to think.

RonMeyers (23:50):
As I listened to Dr.
Arn speak about how Charlie wasworking hard, he used the term
suffering.
But I heard discipline.
Charlie had disciplined himselfto get up, read, and study.
Friends, that's precisely whatwe need to do.
We must be committed to livinglife with Jesus, 24-7.
Consider Jesus as essential,has oxygen.

(24:14):
You can't live without it.
You cannot have a victoriouslife without Jesus.
This commitment isn't just aone-hour appointment once a
week.
The enemy will take advantageof you if you approach it that
way.
You have to wake up each dayknowing that you are a child of
God, holy, righteous, blameless,and forgiven.

(24:35):
Greater is he who is in youthan he who is in the world.
This is your time, my friend.
While the world may be growingdarker, your light shines
brighter.
Have no fear.
The Bible tells us that we havenot been given a spirit of
fear, but of power, love, andsound mind.
I don't know about you, but Iam eagerly anticipating the

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
