SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
That BW bug was
driving past our house.
It couldn't have been a moredirect hit.
I mean, you heard the bumpsgoing over the dog, and I was
horrified.
The door had just been opened atthe front door, and I hit my
knees and started just callingout to God.
Do you love God but feel guiltyinstead of enjoying his
(00:21):
presence?
I understand.
I know how unsatisfying timewith God can be if we feel he's
distant and busy.
I'm Lenora, mom, Jesus lover, and international trainer.
If you want to be persuaded thatGod is good, pray with more
confidence and increase theimpact with your own life.
We'll get some coffee and let'stalk.
Hey, if you're carrying stressand want support with prayer, I
(00:44):
wrote a book to help you.
It's called 100 Prayers,Releasing 100 Cares.
It's full of real stories, scripture, and 100 prayers for
about every part of life.
A link for the book is in theshow notes.
I really think you'll love it.
Some have said it is the bestprayer book they've ever had.
It was either the fourth orfifth grade, and our family was
(01:05):
returning from some kind oftrip.
We pulled into the driveway, everybody got out, and we're
just, you know, getting all yourstuff out of the car, getting to
the front door and unlocking thedoor, just ready to go in the
house.
And we had a dog with us.
It's a small dog who had what myone friend calls the zoomies,
where, you know, the dog's beenin the car and it is now just
(01:27):
running circles in the front inthe front yard and wasn't
listening very well.
And as I remember being at thefront door with my parents and
my brother and sister, and thesame time the dog runs out into
the street, a VW bug, and if youdon't know what kind of car that
is, I feel sorry for you.
But anyway, that VW bug wasdriving past our house.
(01:50):
It couldn't have been a moredirect hit.
I mean, you heard the bumpsgoing over the dog, and I was
horrified.
The door had just been opened atthe front door, and I hit my
knees and started just callingout to God, God, please, please,
please.
And I was praying for our dog, praying for our dog, praying
dog, just direct focus on God.
(02:11):
Because in my gut, I thought,oh, it's somebody just killed
the dog.
But I'm pretty sure it was amiracle because the dog ended up
being fine.
The people had stopped, got outof their car, just apologizing
all over the place, even thoughit wasn't their fault.
But the dog ended up beingcompletely fine.
(02:31):
And I am certain it was amiracle.
It was the answer to prayer.
So I don't know who you are, butthis episode is about pray for
whatever miracle you think youneed.
I don't care what your age is, Idon't care what it is, pray big.
Now, maybe that was a simplemiracle, but I've seen God
answer so many prayers in mylife.
And I've sometimes had to bevery patient.
(02:52):
But the more I get to know theword of God, the more I realize
how big God is, how big He wantsus to pray, which reminds me of
a story about Pastor Cho.
It was Dr.
Paul Younggi Cho.
He had what used to be thelargest church in the world in
Seoul, South Korea.
And he spoke at the church Iwent to a couple times in
(03:14):
Seattle, Washington.
And I'll always remember one ofthe stories where he had in his
heart to pray for 10 millionJapanese people to be saved, to
receive Jesus as their Lord andSavior, to accept him for who he
is and live for him.
And I thought that was amazing.
But what surprised me is he toldthe story of how many people
(03:37):
attacked him for that visionwith comments like, Who do you
think you are?
to pray for 10 million people.
But it wasn't about who thepastor thought he was.
It was about God putting avision in his heart because God
has a heart for the Japanesepeople.
He has a heart for all people.
But if you know much about thehistory of Japan and Korea at
(04:00):
the time, especially after WorldWar II, and I'm not that old,
this was in the shoot, probablythe 1980s.
But anyway, there wasn't a tonof love between the Korean
people and the Japanese people.
But this pastor was justfollowing what God had a passion
for.
He was already reaching manypeople in Korea, and it was a
(04:21):
heart for the people in Japan.
But I'll never forget theinsights and impact of that
story of being attacked forhaving a big vision, being
insulted because you have a bigdream, that you're certain came
from God's desire, God's heart.
But maybe you're afraid to speakit out because it's bigger than
(04:42):
what you would have made up.
I had that in my life.
Now you don't want to be likeJoseph in the Bible that brags
about the dreams and visions Godgives you if you have received
that.
But you do want to draw near toGod and gain confidence in what
he's leading you to do, what youfeel he's directing you towards.
(05:03):
And if you grew up in church, you should know that of course
what God speaks should line upwith his word, with the
principles of the Bible.
But don't let someone talk youout of something God wants to do
on the earth.
Now, I don't know what the endresult was of Dr.
Cho's vision and how many peopleactually got saved.
(05:24):
He's since gone on to heaven, but he made a profound impact on
this earth because he knew Godspeaks in visions and dreams.
He knows God used visions anddreams in your imagination to
align up with what God wants toaccomplish on this earth to help
people, to rescue people, andfor people to know him.
But from his story, it impactedme to realize God is looking,
(05:48):
like scripture says, God islooking across the earth,
saying, Whose heart can I put mydreams into?
Who will believe that I'm a bigGod and I can do great things?
He wants to use you.
You're not listening byaccident.
If you feel God's given you abig dream, grab a hold of it.
Ask him to confirm things aboutit.
(06:08):
Dig into his word to find outthe promises you can grasp a
hold of and fight the fight offaith with.
Let me help you with a couplethoughts.
Matthew chapter 6, verses 9through 13, or Luke 11, 2
through 4 is about the Lord'sPrayer.
So let me remind you when itsays, Our Father who's in
heaven, God who made theuniverse, is your heavenly
(06:32):
Father.
Hallowed be his name, thykingdom come, thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
We can pray for anything onearth to be impacted for the
kingdom of God, for people toknow God to be rescued.
So even in that verse, you cansee God thinks big for us to
(06:52):
pray big.
Luke 137 talks about nothing isimpossible with God.
Nothing.
Second Corinthians 5.7 says walkby faith, not by sight.
What does that mean?
Walk by the conviction, thetrust, the insights God's given
you, the prompting, the theleading of the Spirit of God,
(07:15):
not by just what you can seewith your eyes.
Maybe you have a big vision foryour business or your health,
but you're seeing something verydifferent right now.
Well, sometimes you have toclose your eyes and let God
inspire your imagination so thatyou can begin to pray and speak
big.
James chapter three talks abouthow powerful your mouth is, your
(07:37):
words.
So does a lot of the verses inProverbs.
Life and death is in the powerof the tongue.
And James chapter three talksabout, well, the way I say it is
set your rudder, set the rudderon your ship and speak life.
Speak boldly over the thingsthat you desire to come to pass
in your life.
And I am making assumptionssince you're listening to this
(07:58):
podcast that you're alreadysubmitting your life to God.
You've submitted your life toGod.
You're saying, God, I want whatyou want on this earth.
Now he'll use your talents, yourgifts.
But FYI, he thinks bigger thanyou.
He's got a bigger imaginationthan you.
So ask him to inspire yourvision, inspire your imagination
(08:18):
to help you see what he haspromised coming to pass.
Ask him to help you see it as ifit's already done, so that you
can pray boldly as if it'salready done.
God calls us more thanconquerors.
He's already won the battle.
He's already paid the full pricefor our salvation.
Our job is to get in agreementwith him, and we fight from a
(08:43):
place of victory, from a battlethat's already been won.
Now, some of you, if you don'tknow a lot of Bible verses, some
people think this is gettinginto something that's like the
new age.
No, the world just steals fromwhat God's truth already is.
Remember in Genesis when theenemy came and said, Did God
say?
and he began to twist the wordsof God?
That's all other religions cando is twist the reality of God.
(09:07):
So don't be afraid of being boldin your faith or using your
words to help direct your path.
Read your Bible.
Mark 11, 23 and 24.
Read James chapter 3, readthrough the Proverbs.
Your words matter because God isthe word.
God is a God who spoke creationinto being.
So we need to line up and speakaccording to what He promises us
(09:29):
or what He's leading us to do.
Again, always, of course, getting counsel from other
people that are people of faith.
Or in some cases, you can getgreat counsel from people just
that are really smart inbusiness.
And you can certainly gainwisdom and health principles,
but for the miraculous, go tothe Word of God.
Go to people who believe whatGod says he will watch over and
(09:53):
perform.
Mark 11, 23 and 24 are a coupleverses that come right after
Jesus had been walking with thedisciples and they walked past a
fig tree.
And you can read the story, butum Jesus ends up speaking to a
tree, spoke to the tree andsaid, I curse you, you'll never
produce fruit again from thisday forward.
(10:13):
His disciples didn't sayanything according to the Bible
story, but they must havethought, well, that was
interesting.
Anyway, they go on, have someother things happen.
The next day they're walkingpast that tree, and that tree is
shriveled from the roots up.
And they're like, Whoa! And tellJesus, Look, the tree you cursed
is shriveled up from its roots.
And Jesus uses it to say, I tellyou, if you say unto this
(10:38):
mountain, be removed and castinto the sea, and shall not
doubt in your heart, but believewhat you say will come to pass,
you will have what you say.
Read it for yourself if youdon't know that truth.
Now sometimes we doubt in ourhead, but the head and heart
isn't exactly the same.
You can have some doubtfulthoughts, but pay attention to
what the conviction of yourheart is, saying, No, I do
(10:58):
believe God for this.
I do believe God's a healer.
I've read in the Bible, I'veseen, I've read about his
miracles, I do believe he willheal.
In fact, he already has paid theprice at the cross.
So begin to speak life over yourbody, speak life over the health
of your children.
And if it's about your business, you can use the word prophesy,
but I mean, hey, speak to yourbusiness, prophesy, blessing on
(11:22):
your business, because God says, read the scripture, that he's
given us favor.
If you're walking with God, hesays, I will prosper whatever
you set your hands to, I willcause it to prosper.
So I'm just encouraging youtoday.
I believe you listened inbecause you need your faith
encouraged, just like I do.
God thinks bigger than you.
If you have a big dream and youknow you want your life to honor
(11:45):
God, well then it's probablyGod's dream.
And you're gonna need to closeyour eyes sometimes, spend time
with God, and speak to thatdream.
Take action towards the vision.
But remember, God thinks biggerthan us, and he loves to bless
his kids.
So that was quick.
(12:05):
I hope it encouraged you today.
And like my young friend askedme to pray on episodes, I'm
doing that right now.
Father, you are big.
You're so good, you're so muchbigger and better than people
know.
God, open our eyes to how goodyou are, to how big you are, and
help us to be bold enough tospeak out what you've called us
(12:25):
to do, to seek you for thewisdom to do it, and bring
partners into our lives thatwill be a part of what you've
called us to do.
And Father, use us to show theworld how good you are and thank
you for being so big and sogood.
I believe there's people thatfully agree with this prayer.
(12:46):
God bless them.
You've got their hand, you'vegot their back, and I just
declare protection and boldnessover them, that they would sense
your love, your conviction, andthat you are a God who watches
over his word to perform it.
Amen.
Well, God bless you and pray bigand praise him.
(13:06):
Praise him right now, like it'salready done.
Hey, friend, I hope you enjoyedtoday's episode.
If so, would you please share itand leave a quick review on
Apple Podcasts?
That really helps me reachothers.
The link to 100 Prayersreleasing 100 Cares is in the
show notes, and thanks forlistening.
I'm back next Monday.
Until then, be kind to you.
(13:28):
Because then it's a whole loteasier to be kind to anybody
else.
