Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good team win. That's a division team on the road
or at home should I say home crowd was awesome,
but we got to give him a reason to be
awesome too. So another good game by a rookie quarterback,
but another good game from everybody around him. And that's
what we need it. You know, it's not about one guy,
it's about a team. Two turnovers on defense, very good

(00:22):
third down execution on offense, random ball, well finished the game.
You know, it's good to have a young leader like
Dart success. Yeah, wait, it feels good. So there are

(00:44):
a lot of coaches looking in their offices this week,
and I appreciate about those guys. You know, they put
a lot into it, like they do every week. The
players put a lot into it. We had a lot
of walkthroughs. I'm just happy for those guys that put
so much into it to try to get the outcome
we all desire, like clean football. It's a good football

(01:07):
team that we just played. So get a little bit
of a couple of days off rest our guys. Hopefully
we'll get him back. We'll be back on Monday. Get
ready for our next opponent.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Does scatter who give you more than the yards?

Speaker 3 (01:27):
He gets Is this some kind of an energy that
is infectious with these guys when he's marked to come
to bring.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Down like that?

Speaker 1 (01:37):
I mean he's just a good teammate and it plays
with high amount of I would say energy, toughness. Certainly
people can feed off that.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
So what did you like best about Dark tonight?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
I don't. I've liked everything about Dark since we've got him.
So again, he's it's not perfect. It's not going to
be perfect, you know, there's going to be drop a
bat whatever it may be. But got toughness. I think
you see the field, Well, he's got athleticism, vision, leadership,

(02:16):
you know. But it's three games in, you know two
and one is a starting quarterback, got a lot to
work on. So and he'll be the first to tell
you that. But he's a leader.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
How does he need like when you say good young Zier,
like Darling?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
How he leads by his play, he leads by his words,
he leads by his emotion, he leads by his loose plays.
Glad he's my quarterback, our quarterback. Again, he's a rookie. So,
as one of my mentors once said, let's not you know,

(02:56):
give him a gold jacket, right, now coach Parcels. But
he's a good young player to work.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
With legs make everything. How much difference his legs naked
with everything?

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Yeah, it helps, it helps.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
He just obviously has an uncanny ability to kind of
feel the rush around him.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Is that just a god given thing? I mean, I
mean most guys don't have that.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
And he keeps his eyes downfield. He's he's got awareness
in the pocket. I mean he had it at all
miss at least what I watched of it. So again,
each week we'll get tougher. I think you asked that
question the other day as you put more tape. But

(03:47):
let's let's give credit to the other guys too. As
he would offensive line, I don't know. We must have
rushed for what two hundred yards? Dan him close to it?
I don't know. Third down was eleven sixteen? I think
red zone? What was that? Jordan? You got it? Three
or three? There you go. So when you play good

(04:08):
situational football, you don't turn it over. You know, we
didn't have any turnovers, right, have a lot better than
five last week. And then you create turnovers? What to
play by flop? You know down there to get it
and you know we talked about it last week. He
was going back to you know, down south. I said,
he owed me one because he was going to get

(04:29):
one down there. And what a big play in a
big moment. Again. I love these guys. They grind. It's
not always been easy. It won't be easy. We'll go
back to work on Monday. Coaches will go back on
work tomorrow. I'm sure they're not happy about that, but
it's a good win.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Do you feel do you feel validated in your decision
to go?

Speaker 1 (04:52):
You put it on your shoulders.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
You said, this is my call.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
I'm starting im.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
I want to start with a defu validated in doing that.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah, I don't think like that, Connor. I'm just happy
for the coaches to play players. You know, when you
get a win. So two and one in the last three,
got a tough team coming. We're going there, right Yeah.
I mean, short week. I'm just happy for our players
and our coaches. They put a lot into it, and

(05:19):
you know, win some lose, some lose some it sucks.
So I feel I feel good for those guys.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
I mean, the receiver situation has been that. I was
going to ask you if that that what what was
what would.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
You see in the middy, but I got his stats. Yeah,
how about that one down and double move on the sideline?
You know how I caused the dpi That was huge
for us down there to get it to the one
called a couple of quick ones. But you know down
you know, I'd say that's another thing that just the
next guy stepping up. We have someone that was on

(05:56):
the practice squad. We got Jalen Hyatt out there, who
hasn't played a lot for us, Your down neighbors, you're
down Slaton, no excuses, just go to work and even
on a short week. You know, that was somebody that
I know. Jackson had a lot of confidence and throwing
to him from the preseason. You know, he had a
lot of reps with him, so you know, we talked

(06:18):
about that, you know, and I felt comfortable with it
and he did a good job.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Which scataboo. Obviously last week he had the fumble.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
You know, maybe under different circumstances you said him, you
put somebody else in.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Maybe you lose faith in a rookie.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
What does it say about your confidence in him and
his team's confidence in him to not only put him
out there tonight, but to just keep giving it to
him and giving it to him.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah. Yeah, I'd say I'm confident in all of our players'
so e they're here and it certainly hasn't always been
perfect for anybody, But I have confidence in our guys. Uh,
you go through some tough times. Sometimes you can get
stronger from it or sometimes you can fold. I like
our guys, but we got a lot of work to do.

(07:07):
You know, we are where we're at. We got to
keep battling still early in the season. But these young players.
I have a lot of confidence in these young players,
his rookies. They got the right mindset, They're tough and
you know, I don't know what the personal follow he got,

(07:28):
but we'll talk about that, you know, on Monday at
the end of the game.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
So yeah, coach, in the three starts that Dart has had,
you guys have scored touchdowns and those what's different team
wise that versus previously that when it was hard to
get that opening drive with the team.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
We're executing well. So he's made plays with his legs,
he's made plays with his arms, we've run the ball,
we've executed. I think you you know, when you have
a guy that can make loose plays. You know, every
thing doesn't have to be perfect. That's a that's a benefit.
I've had guys like that before, and this guy is

(08:10):
it's a good guy to have all all. But you know,
young and I'm going to go through some growing pains,
but I have a tremendous amount of confidence in Jackson
Dart when he games.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
When he went into the medical ten.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Yeah, I mean, you always want to try to score
on your opening drive. We have scored on our what
was it two opening drives or two two in a row?
Three in a row was yes, last week it was
two in a row. So sorry, you know, you got
to play the whole game.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
So Daves when he went into the medical ten.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
When Jackson went into the medical ten, TV cameras was
on your sidelines.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Do you want to go in find out what's going on? Scatterboy?

Speaker 3 (08:54):
I think at one point tried sneaking in there, trying
to find out what.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Was going on.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Could you just describe the emotions in that moment? Yeah,
what's called?

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I mean, look, if you've ever been on an NFL sideline,
there's a lot of emotions. I know. I was asked
about gloves the other day there's a lot of emotions. Uh,
and I certainly am an emotional guy. I apologized directly
to our team physician. I just wanted his ass out
there if he was okay, but I wanted to process
like we were getting ready to go for it on
potential for down. I would have burned a time out

(09:22):
if he could have came out there. So I was
asking how long is it gonna take? So again, you
want your guy out there, not at risk of anything else.
But you know he came out. I think he's gonna
be good. I'm like, is he gonna be good? Or
I'm gonna call time out on fourth down and go
for the song? Bitch, you know what I mean. So
I love our doctors and pat. I'm sure you're gonna

(09:45):
ask me about that, so I'll just give you the answer.
I apologized I was in the wrong, but he's all right.
He gave me a hug.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Speaking of emotions, yeah, he looked pretty animated. When Philly
randos to back to back push Philly push plays. Did
you see something maybe they were doing that wasn't cold?

Speaker 1 (10:08):
There's something you.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Could try to point out to the refs.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Uh? Yeah, they they scored on it. So we gotta
do a better job of.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
It hurts you. Guys really did a great job defensively.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Yeah, I try to say this. Look, they played well defensively,
but you got to play team football in order to
play better defense. You got to play good offensive football
too to get them in certain spots. So you can
do different things. Most games are going to be tight.
You know, we get these guys in a few weeks.
That's a hell of a football team. They're well coached,
with a lot of good players, and I'll tell you

(10:45):
that Nick's done an unbelievable job there. They got a
lot of vic you know they have. They have a
lot of good players, and they have a lot of
good coaches on their on their roster and we're playing
them in a in a few weeks, so all all
due respect. That's I mean, they've been one of the
leaders in the NFL here the last few years. So uh,
and that's credit to co Siriani, who have a good

(11:06):
relationship with But it's good to get a win at home.
So it's two and a row at home, which we
need to play well at home to get a home
field advantage to give our fans something to be excited
about and hopefully we did that for him there you

(11:27):
shut them out in the second half. And also what
did you think of where did the called it all outlets?
I think you sent seven on the interception to flot Yeah,
be aggressive until Shane, be aggressive, don't hold anything in
your holster, go after him. But I thought he did
a good job of mixing things up in disguise and
some stuff. Again, that's a good football team, you know.

(11:48):
That's that's a damn good football team, and they're going
to make plays.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
You know, this game means to the funds.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Was there any extraizational speech to the players that speak
go to your normal trying to get over to home
and Ben.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Ste well, it's it's a short week, so you know,
you you have. I would say for my meetings, they're
quick and to the point, and I'll show some tape,
but I want to give the coaches an opportunity to
go ahead and meet with their position and coordinator to

(12:21):
make sure we got in. So, look, our goal is
to win when we go out there, and and our
goal is to perform well at home. You know, perform
well in a row too, but perform well at home
for these people that come and you know, stick with
us and give them something to be excited about. You know,

(12:41):
we got we got work to do, but it's good
to have this young leader
