How you manage.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
I guess they might be lifeing you tomorrow knowing guys
aren't gonna be a twos ati minutes practicing anything different.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Yeah, we'll continue to go overs D and do situational
work corrections from either preseason games or throughout the preseason practices,
making sure we're doing the things we need to do
to continue to improve. Are you totally turning attention down
to one week wanted phone in or you're just still
practicing and more you make yourself. Yeah, we're focused on
(00:30):
the things we need to do to get better, and
we'll do that throughout the week.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
You Washington, how much have you done? Maybe already?
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Well, our team is focused on us and trying to
get better doing the things we need to do. You know,
coaches spend a lot of time in the off season
to spend times at night here, but you know, for
us right now, it's just focusing on the things we
need to do.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
How do you continue the session of a rookie quarterback
when you transition to that regular.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Season vot you'll be practicing and doing the things he
needs to do to keep improving and backup quarterback you
gotta we'll have a number of them. We'll continue to
work with all those guys. Believe you'll be the number two.
We'll see there.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Was some special periods that the practice of Cobrass forget. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah, I'd say we're not there yet. Tom Our focus
right now I was on us, and once we get
to the regular season, we'll have a.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Plan on.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Davison.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
You approached training camp obviously you had a plan would
know about Jackson, but you also had veteran quarterbacks. Here
was it different gauging the different players in terms of
what you wanted to see out of them, what you
needed to see out of the offense. You know, in
case of Ross, we asked you a lot about what
you saw from Jackson in the offense. But what markers
(01:50):
have you had for Ross and James runs?
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, you know Russ had a lot of reps. He
had by far and away the most reps of practice.
You know, you script practice for things you want to
see for all the quarterbacks, but for your team most importantly.
So I think Mike did a really good job with
dak Kaka.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
I know what cut is.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Gonna be difficult, but this year it seems like it seems.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Like you have a lot of death, a lot more depth,
maybe a lot of harder decisions.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
If you find that this time of year is always
tough for everyone, personnel, people, coaches, players, You have a
lot of discussions, and you know, when you're sitting down
with those players that you're releasing, those are always difficult
conversations because again, you know how much they put into it.
So every year is a difficult year. This time of
year for guys that you're really moving on from, and
(02:46):
you know, guys that have worked as hard as they
could work, do you do a first wave? You got
to let they go. And then we just thought that was,
you know, something we wanted to do with some of
the guys, maybe give them a chance to get out there.
But you know, those were some guys we knew we
were going to move on from. So we did it.
We didn't wait, We'll do the rest here in the
upcoming days. Bo Back is it it? I'm not Yeah,
(03:11):
I'm not going to get into who's here, who's not here.
People are out of practice will be ready to go,
and people that are rehabbing or doing something they'll be
doing that.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Would you like what you see from Gunner?
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Obviously he was yet a pretty prolific. Yeah, since he's
been here, really since he since he got here. The
short time he's been here, he said, I would say good,
he's remembered our plays, he's been able to play fast,
he's consistent catching the football both in punt and on offense.
So he's done a nice job since he's been here.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
T J Moore make it back.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Yet, Yeah, I just talked to him. He was just
here a little while ago. So good spirits, but tough
injury for him. Just just look back with Gunner, it
was just about of him getting physically ready, I guess
to come here. He came a little after. Yeah, No,
we thought we thought it'd be a good addition where
we were at. And you know, he's done. He's done
nice shops since he's been here.
