Speaker 1 (00:00):
Just played these guys a couple weeks ago, so you
watch obviously the entire season, but you watch your game
that you just played.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
And obviously the Minnesota game in which.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Jalen hurts is one hundred and fifty eight point three
quarterback rating, so there goes that one talking about him.
Both receivers have three hundred yards together, so I know
they weren't.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
You look, it's an explosive offense.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
I said that the first time we played them, and
it showed up in the Minnesota game against a really
good defense. So they have a perfect quarterback rating. How
many guys that can do that? Jalen certainly did. Defense,
had an interception for a touchdown. Good defense, a lot

(00:50):
of good players. Jalen will be back Carter, who's a
problem to block because it wasn't there the first game.
So the challenge to go to their place and play
them another division game. In terms of our guys, uh,
these are the players that will not practice, and we'll
practice today.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
We'll see where they are on.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
A day to day if you will, Burns Holland, Debo
and Golston Hurrent Burns Holland, Debo and Golson, and then
we will open up Graham's window today you.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Is there any concern at all any of those for
the aren't practicing or long term things? Are you? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:37):
I just say yeah, like know like I R No,
you didn't say slave.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Does that mean you will be practicing today? Ye? Which
where do you stand at the court at the kicker position?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Where do I stand at?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Yeah? Where do you stand with the kicker position?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
We're opening up Graham's window.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
So you intend for him to be able to kick
this week?

Speaker 2 (02:04):
We'll see. That's why we're opening up his window.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Give an open competition.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
If Graham's ready to go, Graham will be the kicker.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
How how hard is it to have faith in it?
This is twice in the past two season where he's
got injured either during or before a game. How do
you how do you get yourself to feel n coomfortable
that if you put him out there on Sunday, he's
gonna go, you know, do the job.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yeah, I'd say we'll go through the week here Dan
and looks good and hopefully he'll be out there.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
But he's done a good job for us. He couldn't
do anything about the injury that he had.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
You know, it's not like he's an older player.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
It's not like you have one of offense pretty consistent.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Yeah, if he's ready to play, and he goes through
practice and he feels good, then he'll be He'll be the.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Kicker if he's healthy and active, kind of as your kicker.
Do you still have to have coup on the roster
for that game in case? In case, what's happening, Yeah,
i'd see.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Let's let's see how he does these next couple of
days here, Pat, But you know, he's a kicker, he's
been working. We're bringing him up for a reason. Hopefully
he's progressing in the right direction. He is progressing in
the right direction. So we'll see a couple of days
here how it goes, and then make a decision what
we need to do. So if you if Graham is activated,

(03:16):
you're not to put words in your mouth sound like
you're leaning towards you would not be interesting. Yeah, I'd
say today's Wednesday. Let's see how it looks on Friday
after practice.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
What has Graham been able to do the last couple
of weeks.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Was work working with the trainers, So.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
He hasn't been hasn't been able to go outside and kick.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, he's he does the stuff that he needs to
do to be with the trainers, and they think he's
ready to go, So it'd be good to have him
out here.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Have you seen Hi kick a field goal yet?

Speaker 2 (03:43):
I'll see today.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
I mean the kickers have been or the trainers have
been working with them. So again I would say, this
is not like a defensive back or receiver. You know,
they've been working with him, they feel comfortable about what
he's been doing. That's why we're we're opening his window.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
You guys haven't added a wide receiver since Malik went down.
Just why not bring anybody in?

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Well, I think LJ has done a good job. We
brought him up.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Wandell's really you know, we've asked Wandell to do a
lot of different things, Uh not just play where he's
you know, played the last few years, more slot related.
He's he's done a lot of different things and he's
really done a nice job for us. You know, those
guys have done a good job and we've used you know,
more tight ends. You know, we've probably used more tight

(04:31):
ends than we have in the past few years, and
they've done a nice shot for us. So spread the
ball around Uh, you know, we'll see what happens here.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
What have you seen? His yards prepare is down considerably
from a year ago.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
See him as a one of the most talented backs
in the league. Explosive, dynamic, Yeah, I think he's all
of them.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Player de boat can't go.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
What's your confidence level now, t Banks?

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Yeah, but do everything he can to be as ready
as he can be.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Coaches work with.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Him, get all those decisions.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Who can go, who can't go?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Saying it on Wednesday, that'll be decided on Friday.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
So you Tay's working hard, doing everything he can because
he can remain.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Next in line. And that's about if Polson can't left.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah, we'll see again. We'll see where where Paulson is.
I'm not gonna we'll see where Paulson is. But hey,
he's gotta be ready to play.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
They'll do.

Speaker 6 (05:34):
You mentioned Jackson. Obviously, it'll look like he had a
little bit of an ankle in.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
The game on Sunday.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
What does it say about him that he's had a
couple of injuries the last couple of games, and it
seems like when Wednesday rolls around, he's out here and
you know you're downplaying it. He's down playing it. I mean,
is there something that you got.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
A lot of good toughness?

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Good ones that I've been around are usually the toughest
ones too, both mentally and physically on the team.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
You know, he's a tough guy.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
It's unusual to play the team twice since a short
period time.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yeah, he's a rookie quarterback.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
How do you think he'll handle that? And do you
think the Eagles are ut a better understanding of him?

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Now? Again, I got a tremendous amount of respect for Vic.
He's done a great job in this league for a
long time. I can't answer what he would do or
what he wouldn't do. You watch your game, You see
how they played you.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Carter's back.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Does that make a difference relative to the scheme and
what they want to do?

Speaker 2 (06:34):
You know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
I got just no if it's a challenging coordinator to
game plan against. Again, he's Jackson's played a good amount
of football in his career, his last four weeks. You know,
he's got a routine down and we do everything we
can do to get him ready to play.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
We think that as like an offensive head coach. How
what's your involvement in the defense during the week. During
the games, yeah, well.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I know what they're calling one, I know the plays.
I listen to them. If I see something, I'll give
it to them. But I want to let those guys
do their job. I have a trust and shamee the
defensive staff.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
They work.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
They work extremely hard.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
To try to do the things we need to do.
I thought there's been a lot of improvement in the
last few weeks. So you know, I see something, I
watch tape with them after practice, go through the practice,
meet with those guys on what they're deciding to do.
Give them my two cents, but let them do their job.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Is it fair to say your more hands on in
the offensive game planning that process on?

Speaker 3 (07:33):
You know, Monday, I meet with.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
All three phases, Dan do I spend quite a bit
of time with the offensive guys, certainly, But then I
go and spend time with the defense. And then I
go and spend time with Gobi and you know, watch
all the games, tell them what I see, ask them
what they see. Have good communication in that regard.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
Obviously the sack numbers aren't where they are, but he's
still getting pressure to the core back.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
So I guess, seven games and how are you assessing
what he's brought on the field so far.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
I'm just glad he's on our football team. I'm not
gonna get into seven games. He's a he's a good
football player for us. You know, he's productive in rushing
the passer. He's good at setting the edges. It's a
good player for us.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Carter, It's gotta limited at all.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Abdullen Camp No, yeah, I would imagine you would agree that.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
You would say that you're an aggressive head coach and
you have an aggressive mindset, that is your defensive coordinator
of the same ilk do you think you know this?
Is it important to you to be in a synergy
with him as far as having an aggressive mindsets?

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yeah? Again, each week we sat down and these are
the keys to this game. It's kind of how I
see it. How you say it and do the same
thing with Caf or do the same thing with Goby.
Everybody's involved in it.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Defensive, all the defensive coaches, all the offensive coaches try
to work together, and then I'm up with the best
play we can and go out there and play as
good and coach.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
As good as we can do.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
You think aggressive you know, there is a going to
talk about how aggressive your defense was in the fourth
floor and the play calls. Do you think that had
a bearing on giving up thirty three points or was
it more about what happened on the field.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
I would just say this, Paul, like I said the
other day, everybody can be better.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Not just one unit, not just one position, not just
one good coach.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Everybody can be better during the game. How much you
are you able to get suggestions to him or specific players?

Speaker 4 (09:38):
I think a lot of people are saying, is on
that when you decide to go, you know, rush three
and drop eight, is that your call?

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Are you giving your input there? Like? How does that
kind of work in the moment?

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Well, I would say if if you're on a headset
and your calling plays, it happens pretty quickly. That was after,
you know, we scored a touchdown. Those are conversations we've
had after Dallas, which was a completely different defense.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
They actually ran the same play at.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
The end of the half that we were you know,
we worked on, to be honest with you, So we
had two robbers there. They made a nice catch and
I have confidence in Shane, have confidence in the off
defensive staff
