Speaker 1 (00:00):
With with Cam out.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I'm just curious what do you see in terms of
your running back rotation? Obviously how you have Tyrone, But
you expect to do anything in terms of Dante Miller
and Devin Singletary and mixing them in.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Yeah, well, motors, motors on the roster. You'll definitely see
motor and then Tracy. Then we'll decide, you know, we
gotta we got a week here, we'll decide what we
want to do.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Ye.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Brian Dunlevy, h hey, Brian, all.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Right, Hey, we know that Cam underwent surgery last night.
What can you tell us about that surgery? Has it what?
What have you heard as far as was it promising?
Did it go well? And did it require an open
an open dislocation to be addressed.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah, I'm not going to get into the particulars of Ryan,
but all went well. He's recovering and obviously it will
be he'll be missed. But on the road to recovery,
do you when do you expect.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
When if the doctors told you that he'll be like
back around the team or in the building or whatever,
out of the hospital. I guess is what I'm trying
to say.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Yeah, he might be out today coming back, but again
he's got to he's got to road ahead of him.

Speaker 5 (01:23):
Okay, Evan Barnes, how you doing.

Speaker 6 (01:32):
I'm just curious just kind of with now obviously kick
him on the leak out and understanding that football is
obviously physical. When we know this, is there any just
you know, more thought as far as kind of like
you know, being more out of mindful is the word,
but just do you manage Jackson any differently when it
comes to how he runs and you know, picking design

(01:53):
runs and whatnot and being more judicious if you will
with that.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
No, I think you know, Jackson has done a good,
really good job his first five games in a lot
of areas. And you know, he's a he's a good
football player for us, and we'll do the things we
think that he can do well. And I think he's done,
you know, had a good start to his his first
five games. Obviously like a few more wins, but you know,

(02:19):
he's done a nice job for us.

Speaker 6 (02:22):
And I guess, peg backing off of that, now that
you've seen the tape, I guess what did Jackson you know,
really do well on Sunday that how would you assess
what he did. Now did you looked at the tape a.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Little bit more? Yeah, Look, we're always talking about ball security.
Does a good job of ball security, makes good loose plays,
throws on time. Again, there's always little things that we
can get better at. There was from this game, but
he's you know, he's improved every week that he's played.

Speaker 6 (02:54):
And then I know you said yesterday that there were
multiple things that sit out to see with the run
defense that you said you need to be addressed. You
you said maybe be here being there. But look now
that you look back at its tape, you know what
were some of those things that stood out to you,
maybe not just yesterday, but also these last two weeks
where the run defense just hasn't been what you wanted
it to be.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yeah, similar to what I said yesterday, there's a there's
times where they have good calls and they have numbers.
There's times where you know, they do a good job
of blocking and we had to do a better job
of shedding. And there's times where were miss tackles. That's
usually you know, three of the main things in run defense.
So give them credit. You know, they had some good

(03:36):
plays against some of the defenses that we had whether
we blitzed away from it, whatever it may be. They
missed some tackles and they made they took advantage of it.

Speaker 6 (03:46):
Does it concern you that had eight weeks in this
defense the run Deeves is given up within five point
seven yards? Churag isn't concerned that the problem isn't getting
solved quickly enough for you.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Yeah, we need to do a better job on a
run defense, no question about it.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Dang hey, Brian, uh with Cam going down, it's obviously
two of your big weapons you've lost the last couple
of weeks. Trade deadlines a week away, our favorite, our
favorite would be few to be aggressive to add someone
in the next week.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yeah, I mean, look, I leave that to Joe relative
to you know, looking at the league. If he has
any discussions that that he wants to have, he always
brings him up. We have open dialogue. But my focus
is the guys that we have on our football team
right now and trying to improve them the best way
that we can.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
And we haven't spoken to you. I guess spoke your
post game. I haven't spoken since the fine came out
for the sideline that's in the first Eagles game. Did
you think that penalty was justified?

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yeah, that's you know, I've had conversations with the league
and that's the way they'll stay.

Speaker 5 (04:51):
Do you learn anything from that?

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Yeah, I don't have I don't have any comment on
on that. Dan all sorts, Okay, right, Paul.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
One thing about you know, maybe possibly adding another player
or not. I mean, this would be your jurisdiction. If
a new guy would come in, how quickly could let's say,
a wide receiver do you think acclimate to a brand
new system? You know it would be you be by Grow,
would be by Kafka. You know, there's not a million trades.
It's not like baseball where you just get a lefty reliever.

(05:28):
How tenable is it to do that, you know, eight
games into a season.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
I think that happens all the time in this league
relative to injuries or possible trades that I remember back
when I was a receiver coach, and you know, you
get a new receiver on a Wednesday and they're playing
on Sunday. So guys that have played in this league
might be different systems usually know how to study and
pick up things. So again, when when you're a position coach,

(05:56):
and you're dealing with guys. You know, you've got to
make sure they're they're ready and a few days. So
I've done that, sure, most coaches have done that plenty
of times.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
And as far as you know your wide receiver room,
you know you have you didn't have Slayton last week,
you had them this week, you have one Dell and
you really are not getting any production from anyone else,
you know, for the most part, especially the last couple
of games. So how difficult is that? I know you're
incorporating the tight ends more, but you want to get
wide receivers involved. How difficult is that? Is that a

(06:28):
glaring hole right there?

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Yeah? Well, like I said, pout when you you know,
five eligible receivers on the field. So a lot of
times we've been using two tight ends and two receivers.
So those receivers have been Wan Dell and Sleigh or
Wandell and who slay wasn't out. We'll just see how
it goes, you know, this week relative to you know,
who's up and what we think we need to do.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Would you would do one last thing?

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Would you?

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Would you?

Speaker 1 (06:52):
You know you said you and Joe have these conversations daily.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
Maybe multiple daily.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Would you the instigator of some of this? And you know,
I mean as far as instead of him coming you
to and saying, what do you think, you're saying, Look,
is there anyone out there because we could use it.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Yeah, I'd say we have again, a number of conversations
every day. I mean a number of them. My focus
is on the guys that we have on our roster
and making sure that we're doing everything we can do
to help them. Thank you, yep?

Speaker 7 (07:24):
Or hey Brian, what's going on more?

Speaker 3 (07:28):
Jordan?

Speaker 7 (07:30):
I was just wondering, we know, Jackson and Cam are
actually close, you know, I was wondering how he's handling it.
I mean seemed like last sight that everything from the
loss to losing Cam that was you know, was was
weighing on him there.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Uh yeah, I think again that would be a good
question for him. Certainly they're close. I think again, you're
close with a lot of guys on the football team.
Coaches are close with the players, the players are close
with the players. And when you have injuries, which there's
a lot of them, I think that's you know, I

(08:06):
was chatting back and forth with Scott last night. You know,
for for a guy that has come in and say,
sparked us with a lot of energy and toughness. But
the personality that he has as well. But it's you know,
it's like all your other players that you're close with.
These guys spend a lot of time together, meeting time
outside the building and that's always a tough, you know,

(08:28):
tough element to this game is when guys, guys go
down and get hurt. You hate to see it. Unfortunately,
it's it's part of the business.

Speaker 7 (08:38):
When you say you were talking to him, you were
base time on them, texting, chatting.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
No, we were, we were texting.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Then he texted me pretty early today. You know, he's
he's he's just got he's he's an infectious personality. I
was at four oh four oh eight this morning. I
got a text from him. Uh, you know, so that's
that's Scott.

Speaker 7 (09:05):
How would you say his spirits are from your conversations?

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Yeah, Uh, they're good. I mean as good as can
be through through text. But you know, you feel for
you feel for your players when they go down like that.

Speaker 7 (09:20):
And obviously we asked you last night that the tush
push fumble, that's when it's you know, being talked about
a lot today. I'm wondering if you have heard from
the league on it or if you have reached out
to the league about it.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
No, haven't heard from the league about it.

Speaker 7 (09:36):
Have you reached out to the league about it?

Speaker 3 (09:38):
Yeah? Any any of those penalties are officiating. I'm not
going to comment on.

Speaker 8 (09:43):
Okay, last one, Brian that maybe, Brian, I got two
for you specific to Tracy you hate as a coach.
I think when a guy loses his job partially because
of injury, how has he responded to what was Cam's

(10:04):
rise to being the main running back and now.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
That uh, it's Tyrone's turn again? Like you know, how
quickly do you expect him to be able to give
back to what he was doing last year?

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Well, he's a pro right, so again, I think pro soak.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
We've seen pro soak before. We've seen pro soak before,
and it doesn't seem like necessarily he did.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Uh. Yeah, I was going to say that, but you answered.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
It for me.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
If you could say it, then I could.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
You already did.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
And then, uh, I'm curious what you think of Dexter
Lawrence's uh play, Brian, because one of your own legends,
Carl Banks, was pretty critical of Dexter this morning, uh
and his play so far, and suggested that maybe he's
not all the way back.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
From his injury, or you know a million other things.
I know you've said that he gets double teamed a lot,
but he's always gotten double teamed a lot. So why
do you think you're not seeing the production production from
Decks this year that we've seen in the past.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Yeah, they have a lot of confidence in Decks on
the field as a leader for us. I'm glad we
have them.
