Speaker 1 (00:00):
Look like you guys purely one year ends, you know,
defensive side of winder, how you felt better? We gotta
we gotta respond tomorrow, honestly, and and you know greatness
and you know, being a great team, you gotta be consistent.
And you know we did well today. We gotta go
do well tomorrow because you know they gonna have a
fire in them tomorrow, and then we gotta do well Saturday,
you know what I'm saying. So it's all about that

(00:21):
progression each day, each day, just growing and getting better
and you know by Sunday we should we be ready
to play these guys Saturday.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
How much as much does it fire you up? Like
you go into the full team and Russ and the
offense go touchdown, touchdown, touchdown? Like how does how are
you reacting on the sideline watching that? As a defense,
it's special.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
It feels good, you know, to you know, to put
points on to put points on the board, and you
know that's what you want your offense to do, and
we got to stop them from scoring it. So you
know that's part of the game. You know, you gotta
score points. So it's exciting to see as a competitor,
what's it like when you kind of listen to see
a team three times in a week between Tomorrow, Saturday
and tay. Yeah, like I said earlier, just every day, like,

(01:04):
you know, being consistent. You know, can we can we
consistently grow? You know, even we had a good day,
can we have another good day? You know, didn't have
another good day? And that's how you know, teams become special,
That's how.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
You run down on fields. Yeah, I'm the fastest.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Did you see fromably your past rush today what you
expected to see?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Like me personally? Oh? The team?

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yeah, I think we did well. Uh, Like I said,
like she's still learning, learning how to communicate through different things,
and learning who's rushing beside you, and and and just
honing in on your technique more we got We got
a few more weeks to you know, get that down.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
But I think we just keep getting better and progressing
every day. Words the defense act in your opinion? The
progression uh me in training camp?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
And I mean that's the best way I can answer that. Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
You know, we only got a few plays on Saturday,
so I don't know what this week's looks looks like.
But you know that's why we gotta take these practices serious.
And you know, every day I see improvement, guys not
making the same mistakes all the way around.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
So that's that's the best thing you ask for right now, Hey,
how do you guys evaluate a joint practice?

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Like let's say it could be a sack on a play,
but it's a catch on the back end.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Like, how do you guys evaluate the work?

Speaker 1 (02:22):
I think it's I think during these times it's a
lot of obviously his team, but it's a lot of
individual work, and you know, you evaluate yourself one on
one and then everybody else evaluates their self one on one.
And you know that's how you make a team. You
know you're all doing your job the right way. So
I think doing these times is making sure you're doing
your keys right, your you're on top of your technique

(02:44):
and communicating well, obviously, and that's how the team is
supposed to play.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
You count of everything as a sack and meeting.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Oh for sure, job is a special path rusher. I
think his game is unlimited. Honestly. He can speed rush you,
he can power you, he could finess you.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Uh like he.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Got a lot of because he's not a little guy either,
and he so he got a lot to his game,
and you know he's keep he's tapped in it more
this this training camp, and that's good to see.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Some of the young guys used to see where they.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Can do super you know, because you know, you always
got to play on Saturday. But you know, doing these
rest right here, you see how your practice flow is.
And it's always I think, whatever you do in practice,
you're gonna do in the game.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
So you got to practice hard to play well.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
As my mona's where are you as far as football shape,
because we're not used to seeing you limited, but you
really haven't done a ton in camp, So how are
you feeling supposed to be where I'm supposed to be.
I mean, that's that's That's just why what I can
say about that. I think, you know, obviously, the process
of me and my elbow is just you know, it's

(03:52):
a continual process.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
You know, I'm getting better every day.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
I got a lot more reps today than I got,
you know, last week, so and I'm feeling good.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
So that's that's the process. You just got to keep
going through. Just managing the reps at this point. Yeah,
you you mean, like all schedule based on the plan
you set forth like in the early off season. You
know what I'm saying. I know you didn't go against
them today, but how different does the offense look to you?
Guys when you go against some every day and practice
and maybe it has some years past, you're definitely so. Uh.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
I think they look smooth and confident, and that's the
best you can ask.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
You know.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Offensive line, you know play well on Saturday obviously, and
you know you see.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Their improvement every day.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I think, like I've been saying, it's like every individual
on this team, we have to do our one job,
you know what I'm saying. Everybody got to make sure
that myself is doing the right technique, is knowing their place,
you know, helping the teammate, you know, just in leading.
Everybody can lead, you know what I'm saying. So during
these times, it's it's building the individual to become a team.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
M hm hmm.
