Speaker 1 (00:00):
He's a competitor. He wants to get more yards, you know,
squeeze every little bit out of it. You know, I
don't think it was a chief shot, but we're gonna
do anything we can to protect our quarterback.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
The best ail, the best ability is availability for a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Yeah. Yeah, And uh, you know it's it's hard to
it's hard to take that, you know, that competitive drive
out of him. Uh, you guys just see that all
season in the preseason. He's gonna fight and claw for
extra yard as much as he can. And he's a
he's a tough kid and love to see that at
a quarterback. We also need him for the long hold.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
You're saying anything to him in the moment or you
just kind of let that shit. Well, figure he realizes
that one there.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yeah, I told him earlier today, you know, let's be smart,
protect ourselves. And obviously he's not. He's not gonna listen
because you know, he's just so competitive and you know,
loves the contact and that's just how he is. And uh,
we're gonna we're gonna have to, you know, keep talking
to him. Maybe he listened to us one of these days.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
How much of his normal confidence did he ex to
you guys in the huddel and at the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yeah, he's a he's just an ultimate competitor in my opinion,
super poised, kind of a calming presence back there as well,
just just super in the moment, brings us together, doing
a great job. And we've got to be better for
him and around him. Get the run game going more

(01:22):
and hold up a little better and pass protection for sure,
and make him feel comfortable back there.
