Speaker 1 (00:00):
What are you hoping for in lessons, abundance, longevity, you know,

(00:05):
being able to play football.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
They opened the window here for the last three weeks.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Not really, I mean Joe told me they were going
to make the decision last week. So what it didn't
come as to its apply to me?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I assumed, like, wait, wait, did you start feeling better physically?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Just the progression throughout rehab, you know, just building me up,
rapping me up, getting on the field, running, doing this,
that and the third and you know, Joe told me
say he's thinking about opening up the window. I was like, okay,
if you do that, hey, I'll be ready.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Is it over this season where I just kind of
felt like, okay, not playing it's just kind of weighing
a little bit more on you than normal.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
I guess, I mean, I guess it's safe to say that.
I guess. You know, being a football player would feel
unnatural for anyone in this league not to play. I mean,
that's that's our job. Is my job to play football.
And when I got put in a position to where
you know I couldn't do that, I mean, yeah, it
felt different, but obviously that was something that was out
of my control. So I just kind of tried to,
you know, just go inward, you know, just focus on

(01:03):
the avenue, Just focus on the things that you know
I can do to continue to keep myself mentally strong,
physically strong, and just you know, ready for whatever's nest.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
How different is your day to day when you know that,
let's say, week to week you're not having that opportunity.
How different is your day to.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Day during your year like this where when I was active?

Speaker 2 (01:21):
You speaking like you're an E leade athlete has always
been active, So in a year like this, how different
is your day to day?

Speaker 1 (01:26):
You know what I'm saying. Whenever you were speaking like
earlier on in the season, Yeah, I was was active, correct, Yeah?
Well I was preparing as if you know, I would
be active every week. You know, I wasn't letting on
whether I be active or or in active. You know,
usually a lot of time the day before the game
or I'll walk into the stadium and then I'll find
out whether I'd be active or not, if I had
a jersey on my locker or something like that. So

(01:47):
I just prepared as if I be active, you know
what I'm saying. I came in, I practiced hard, and
I just did everything that I could do within the
best of my abilities to go out there and play,
and would whether it be Friday, Saturday night or a
Sunday morning. You know, I pretty much find out, you know,
whether I'd be playing or christ.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
If you get a chance to go back in and play,
do you have a preference of where you would play?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Guard?

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Tackle?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Wherever they you know, decide to line me up. You
know That's what I do. I mean, if I get
that opportunity, great, I mean, I don't think anyone on
the offensive line is injured at this point. But like
I said, I'm poored by the New York Giants, so
I'll do whatever they asked me to do. At this point,
you look.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
At yourself in the future as one or the other,
Like how do you view it?

Speaker 1 (02:33):
I'll do myself. I viewed myself with Evan Neil, a
football player. I mean, I think I can do both.
I mean, I'll be act to play in the game
this year, a regular season, the game at guard. I
have a little film at tackle. I mean, but I
think I can do both. At this point, I think
it makes me more valuable. My versatility
