Speaker 1 (00:00):
Happened there at the end of practice and heat got
to us.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Just the heat though, what if what set you guys off? None?

Speaker 1 (00:08):
I mean, it's just you know, it's a violent sport
we play. You know, guy's trying to get better. Uh,
Guy's trying to get better. You know, it's just tensis
rais a little high. He is getting a little hotter,
so you know, God, guy's getting a little more agitated.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
But it ain't that deep. We squashed it as that.
How do you feel about that when guy's got off
steam like that. I feel like it's healthy, you know,
at times I don't.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
I feel like it's healthy to a certain extent though,
like uh, you know, you still want to get.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Your your work done at the end of the day.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
But that competition and that that that.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Dog, that is that that that we need to have
is needed. Brian.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
I know it's early, but what if you learned about
ab doing How is he fitting in with you and Kbon?
How does he compliment what you guys?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Do you mean whatever? Learn as a person? As a person?
Cool kid?

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Uh, you know at first he was quiet. Uh, he's
starting to loosen a little bit. But as far as
a player, so far, so far, he's everything that I expected.
You know, it's very twitchy, Uh, explosive he does having
a rare moves.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
So yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
How does she compliment what you and do well?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Uh, he's just a different type of Russia. Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
I feel like we all have our our our techniques
and what we're good at, and he adds another flavor
to it.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
So I think he's doing well.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Do you like the changes that took place on the
defense this year, a lot of investment, free agency.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
The defense has definitely improved as far as like the
veterans that they've added, the young guys they've added. You know,
we got two rising stars and and Drew and and
Newman just to say say the least. I think we
got talent all around the board. Now it's just all
about putting it together.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
Ran excite you think about the possibilities of what you
c challenges you can present an offense if you nfl
are on the field at the same time.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Is it exciting? Yeah? Yeah, very What I mean as
you can do a lot.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
I mean we're all similar but different in a way,
you know what I'm saying, So we can interchange and
we can really add a lot of versatility to any
of about thirty down packages or just the game in general.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
So, uh, yeah, it's exciting.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Do you think you think that you could be utilized
in a way that you haven't been used, whether that's
inside linebacker, defensive tackle on a pass rush situation?

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Like how open are you to that? And do you
think that's something you could do?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Very because it's gonna it's gonna, like you just said,
it's gonna challenge officers to figure out what we're doing.
And if you can put us in different spots doing
the same thing, it'll be confusing at a certain point.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
With the spein your two of being in chamber and system,
what if you noticed it's different as far as what
he's been able to do so far? Again, I know
it's early, but have you noticed anything you know, different
than maybe you weren't doing this.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Time last year?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Not really, I mean I would say the main thing
is that being in year two is just I'm more
comfortable with uh, with the playbook and and now have
a deeper understanding as far as like last year, I
knew my job in the minssignment, knew where to be,
but now I know why why I'm doing certain things
and what he's thinking, So being on that that same
accord with him will help me play faster.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
I was trying to follow up on basically playing multiple
spots right and moving around.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
How much have you done that?

Speaker 6 (03:16):
How comfortable defse Is it's something you did last year
or is it something that you're sort of adding to
the to the.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Arsenal this year.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
I did it a little bit last year, but mainly
in our base packages so far. What I mean by
moving around, it's like a third Our third down can
be a little bit more exotic with with the Uh
addition of Carter. So with that being said, is like
it's kind of pick your poison so and then we
we have a dex So.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Sorry, the exotics also work on the back end too,
Right man, you guys are focused on what you're doing
in the front, but with Holland and a Debo add
into that next you mentioned, I mean, it seems like
the pieces across the board for this defense will allow
you guys to do a lot of different things.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Yeah, the pieces is piecing UH, Javan and UH and
New in the back. They they've been really good with
their communication as far as disguising and and uh really
being on top of their responsibilities and uh a, Deebo's
very sticky as we expected, and just allowing them to
play free.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Like I said, like that back end.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Is working really, really, really good right now, so he's
got to keep it up right.

Speaker 7 (04:21):
Going back to today for a second, how did it
get to the point where you guys are putting your
helmets down to square off, like it usually seems like
it happens in the flow of the.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Play, said, it seems like it happens in the flow
of the play.

Speaker 7 (04:32):
Yeah, like usual, Like usually you're you're playing football and
it gets heated. It seems like you guys took your
helmets off intentionally to square off.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I wouldn't say that. I would say it was just
a conversation that we've had, you know.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
I guess sermish just broke out.

Speaker 7 (04:49):
Obviously, we're not here every day you got back and
forth earlier.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
This happened. Every just happened all the time.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
We fight over food, fight over ping pong, pool, whatever
it is is that all the time.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
It's an but little brotherhood.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Do you like that edge? Do you like when players
kind of show that edge a little bit that do
you think this team needs.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
No you definitely need that edge, you need that dog mentality,
but just can't let it get it in the way
of work. So the only thing I'm mad about is
that we had to, you know, go ahead and call
it up. But I mean, we we got most of
our work done today. But I just want to stay
away from that, and I'm gonna let it be known
to the team, like you know, that's not what we do.
We gotta keep our keep our minds set on the
main thing, which is football. So all that horse playing

(05:31):
and all that stuff is cool whatever, nice edge and
everything like that, but we do have to get to
the details and get our work done.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
And when you guys all hold it up after it
was just the same thing as I told you, just
getting our work done.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
But already knew that just from being around and being
in many A training camps. You know, when you have fights,
you don't want it to get in the way of
direction and and the things of that nature. So we
just gotta keep it to a minimum.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
I don't think it's a secret that you were playing
week to week pretty banged up last year. Yeah, how
much of the real you do you think we saw
and how much different of a player will you be
this year if you're healthy?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
I mean, you seen the real me cause I was
out there. You know, playing banged up is just a
part of the game. You know, like once the season start,
you'll never be a hundred percent you know, healthy again.
But I wanna keep that to a minimum as much
as possible. You know, I'd rather play healthy. I feel better,
play better. So uh yeah, this year, planning on that,

(06:30):
planning on keeping it healthy. Yeah, I'm good.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
Take for is there anything that's really important to you recovery, whise,
taking care of your value that's different year every year
that you've been.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Working on the off season.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Yeah, I would just say mainly staying with my routine.
Make sure I'm intentional about it. You know, at times
when the season is going and and you know things
may change, you, Uh, you wanna keep one thing the same,
and that's your routine.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
So I just gotta make sure I stay on top
of it and uh, keep it, keep it going.
