Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's what you see on that interception in important.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I saw that timing and execution is so important in
this game, and when you don't have the reps with
some of your teammates, you got to capitalize on those
moments and continue to work even harder and find solutions
because when the game really matters, timing and execution is
(00:28):
the most thing, most important thing.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
James, how did you feel out there? So grateful?
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Man? I was so grateful, you know. I really wanted
to win for these guys. Man. How we dominated the
line of scrimmage, man, We rain the ball effectively, We
did some good things in the passing game. Calv did
an incredible job calling this game.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Man. I just I really wanted to win this one
for us.
Speaker 4 (00:52):
Important first drive kind of got you back into groove,
you know, to start the game.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Man, I think our coaches do a great ab of
studying the opponent and putting us in great situations, you know,
and it's just.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Our job to execute it and play good football. Kafa
was in here. He was very positive even in the loss.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
You says that that's what he's trying to do, you know,
establish an attitude about staying positive.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
CAF is very poised, uh, and he played the quarterback position,
you know, and he saw great fight into in our team.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
We fought hard, you know, we fought to the end.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
It was unfortunate that that we finished the way that
we did.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
That's why I just I really wanted to win this game,
and I'm just gonna keep keep getting better.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Man. But kaf is a great coach. Man.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
He brought great energy and uh, it's tough that we
didn't pull it out.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
That energy and Kafka talked about aggressive mentality being really impart.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
How much of a shift do you notice.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Under his regime.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, man, I think this team wants it. You know,
we're right there close in these games. Man, But when
you got to got a leader that's that's that's optimistic,
that has drive, you know, and has that player perspective.
You know, he's probably been in our situation before. So
I'm just grateful to have a head ball coach who
brings that optimism, brings that energy in leadership.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
I think the key is.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
To being able to win some of.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
These close games before simplicity to me finishing out like
as a team, you know, all of us collectively can
do one small thing to continue to get better to
finish this game, you know, and I think that's the
important thing. We're right there at the end of it.
We just have to finish the game, and we will
will find a way to finish because it's required. It's
(02:39):
required to finish in its league.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
What do you see on that last intersection with you
and Hia?
Speaker 2 (02:44):
What happened?
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:46):
I believe time and execution is so important, you know,
when you in crucial moments when defenses see routes like
you and a receiver have to be elite in time
and execution. And I believe Jalen and our time and
execution could have been a lot better.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
And talked about just being aggressive. He liked how you
were being aggressive. I know that's your style, but just
did you get the sense that he was encouraging you
guys to take more chances and just put it all
out there.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
You know. It started with the offensive line. Man, they
just played amazing against an amazing front. They played incredible.
And when you have an office line and that's dominating
up front and you're eficient in the run game, you
can be more aggressive. You can challenge their dbs a
little bit more. But man, our running backs in our office.
Line really controlled this game for us, and uh, and
that was the key to allow us to be more aggressive.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Your clip of singing Hamilton went viral. Did you hear
from anybody?
Speaker 3 (03:39):
I didn't hear from anybody, you know. Uh.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
That's the joy that I bring to the locker room,
you know. Uh, And we would add so much joy.
Uh celebrated a victory, you know. So so that's what
that's what we're striving for. That's what I'm striving for.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Man.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
I can sing Hamilton, you know. I sing with my
boys all the time, but I would rather sing the
victory song with my teammates.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Isaiah obviously comes down on Thursday. You know, he's been
in this office before me. He just comes in. He
found him a lot today. What was what made himself
factor today?
Speaker 3 (04:10):
I mean he dial with the work he put in,
you know.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
And I think when when you got a guy that
you're just like, oh my goodness, like he got in
the day of the game. He's going out there and
playing like he just put in a lot of work
in his preparation and he was prepared for it. So
I'm grateful that he came in with the attitude that
he came in with. Obviously, I coaches had a lot
of confidence in him, and he went out there and
did a great job for us.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
Jimis, what was your mentality? You know, first couple months
of the season, you know, waiting for your chance.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
And I wasn't waiting.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
I was preparing, doing the same thing every single day,
staying locked in, serving as as much as I can
to my teammates the same thing I believe, and I
believe in uh. You know, preparation is the key, you know,
precious for the unprepared. So I just try to continue
(05:01):
to prepare like I am to start in quarterback, and
I'm grateful that I had this moment, just unfortunate that
we didn't finish.
