Speaker 1 (00:00):
You, Uh, just take us through the emotions at the
end of that game. But at Swings, Yeah, yeah, I
think for right now, it's just it's really frustrating, man.
I'm trying to put it all together. We had chances

(00:23):
to win the game, didn't do it.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
It's frustrating. What happened on the interception. What did you
see on that sequence where they brought the pressure?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
My feet got a little stuck in the ground.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
I'd be way better than that. I mean, that's unacceptable. Yeah,
I gotta be better h after that. Obviously, you guys
let that drive down the field and you had that
big fourth to nineteen to one.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
So I mean, how did you guys just try to
get over it to lead that drive? Well, we have
I never felt like we were gonna lose the game,
so you know, I looked at the clock when they scored.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
I said, Dan, we've got a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Of time left, and uh, jeez, I had I had
no doubt that we were gonna go down there and score. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Just a tough of loss as you've ever had.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I've had some tough ones. I just can't stand losing.
So the loss hurts me the same every time I
take one.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
You know, were you beating yourself up over the interception? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Absolutely, I can't do that. You know, it's we were
in full control of the game in that situation. You
can't do that. So that was an unacceptable mistake by me.
That's what an unacceptable mistake.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Jackson as a as a competitor, How do you get
back up? How do you find your way to get
back up? Both of this because it's pretty clear not
to you, but that's a locker room return right now,
trying to figure out what what just happened?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Yeah, I mean we played in six days, so you
can't let one lostly to another. You got to fix
the things that you messed up on and we got
to finish games. And that's we have to be able
to finish the game. So we have good leaders on
the team, we have good players. We have to find
ways to finish the game and bounce back.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
What did they do to make things tough on you?
Actually had some successful What was big challenges they posed? Well?

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Coming into the game. I knew that they were top
two defense in the entire league, so I knew that
it wasn't gonna just be easy going out there. They
do a lot of really good things, and they've given
a lot of people a lot of hits. And you know,

(03:16):
looking back when I try to reflect on the game,
there's probably a few things we were just like, yeah,
like I wish, you know, I would have made this
decision or this decision, But I mean we had chances.
We just we didn't finish the game. Jackson. You kind
of went down and I mean to watch that last
play was kind of surrealers to watch that last can't
go to the uprights. Yeah, it just sucks. I mean,

(03:38):
it's like I said, I hate I hate losing. So
it's just like just a bad feeling.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
These are hard of Jackson.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
When there's kind of a little playful locker room talk
and the competitive nature, people come out about the change,
comment who is coming back and forth, and then they
have a game finished like that as Yeah, I mean,
I haven't really thought of that, to be honest. It's
just lost. That shouldn't have happened.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
