Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tommy, how are you they said you're gonna start.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
How are you feeling from the forearm.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
To your last starts? Oh? Be good, I'm all help
you out here. Everybody says there's no one's one hundred
percent of this time of year. I feel pretty good
right now. How are you feeling last week before the game? Better? Yeah?
What did you wonder if you were going to get
another chance to start this year? I mean, obviously you
(00:26):
don't want it with you getting hurt, But did you
wonder if you were going to get another chance?
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Yeah? I mean you always got to be ready for
whatever happens. Obviously, it's been kind of a little bit
of a crazy situation this whole year with you know,
everything that's gone on, so there's almost no surprises at
this point. So you just got to stay ready and
whoever's out there, whatever number is, gonna be out ready
to call to be called, we're gonna go out there
and support them and right now with me.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
So I'm gonna go out there and play for everybody
in left for more, like to be the starter, not
being the not being able to starter, to be the starter.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah, you know, roller coaster, But it's part of the
process part of the journey, just staying you know, even
cut there at all, So just continue to keep my head.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
That'll work. Wow, when Lamar and the Ravens are on
the other side, do you think about the game any
differently in terms of you're gonna have to put up
some points?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Oh? Yes, and no, I mean you don't try to
plush or do anything different, like in my mind, but
like you know that, like you know, you're playing against
a very good team. For me, it's a bunch of
that basist opponents, right, just going out and controlling without
control with the offense control, and then it's what I'm
trying to score any points possible to matter who's out there.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
What are you trying to prove here in the last
four weeks for you, do you have to prove a
game that I belong in the league or I deserve
to be back up, I deserve to be a starter?
How do you sort of that?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yeah, I think it's kind of just continuing just to
prove to myself, you know that I belong to just
go out and just play at the highest level that
I have a little that I can play at consistently,
and just to go out there and try to win football.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
So what it comes down to, it quite an unexpected
circumstance last year. How would you compare what you went
through last year to this year and what you guys
have gone through over the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Yeah, I definitely learned a lot from last year, and
it's being you know, ready for any moment for it
to happen. Obviously, it's kind of the same thing as
last year. I say, ups and downs, a number of
rod close to it. Now it's coming around again. So
just continue to keep my head down to work. But
I'm thankful for all the opportunities and just going and
going out to competing for everybody who's locked.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
On organizations, fans, everybody just going out to who that's myself.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
So honest, you and Drew are close, obviously, how is
he doing?
Speaker 1 (02:33):
And when did you realize?
Speaker 2 (02:34):
I mean, if you're that close, you probably knew he
was pretty banged up.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
So like, when did you realize you might get this call?
Speaker 2 (02:40):
I mean probably at the same time you guys probably
found out just because you know it's probably I don't
want to say it's a similar situation to when I
was in Dallas, but you know, everybody gets banged up
after games and then you never really know how things
pan out up until later on the week, because you know,
some stuff gets better, some stuff starts to get worse.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
You know, no things pop up, So continue to be
there for him.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Obviously, you know he's around, so we're hanging out doing
our same old thing and you know, just pushing each
other and the same thing with ten out of tim's
in the room.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
He's been awesome to have around him for a while,
so we have a really good group.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
One of the things that seemed to spark the offense
when Drew is in there is when he took off.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Are you aware of that or do you do? You
see the opportunities to take them when they're there, you
take them.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Yeah, Tommy, Miss Ravens defense has given up the most
passing yards in the league.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
But scoring is a different story.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Right when you look at it, Is there any more
pressure to execute just inside the red zone and.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Try and get a touchdown? You guys haven't had a
passing touchdown and thinking about a month.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah, I mean that's always a point of emphasis, you know,
to score points, especially touchdowns. You know, we like dooglest
being most score touchdowns. Obviously offensively, we have not scored enough,
so that's an emphasis every single week. But this week's
not different. Have you seen this? I want to say,
(03:58):
I'm not surprised, but this is all the celebrity in himself,
so keep it going. Tell me this is today is
like the one year anniversary of the Packers win. I
don't know if you knew that then, Yeah, I got
a notification on my phone, so I picture picture of
me and one Delle popped up on my phone.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Sidles a good We're kept talking about earlier, So what
do you remember about that night?
Speaker 2 (04:17):
I get a win, A lot of a lot of
ups and downs throughout that game. Honestly, last week reminded
me a lot of it. Just seeing the way that
Drew like hugged that sideline. It was kind of similar
to seeing like wand Delle hugged that sidelines go down
to getting a field goal range. But yeah, I mean
there's a lot of good, a lot of bad in
that game, but ultimately came out to win, especially on
a Monday night.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Austin avaspear, It's just there's a lot of fun. Do
you even think about the losing streak going in or
just focused on the game.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
I mean, you're just worrying about getting in that wind column.
No matter what our record is, all you're worried about
is being want to know that week, So continuing to
do that, continuing to put in.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
All the work that we put in.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
All gear and even more so every week to come,
and they're not getting the results that we wanted.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
So it just continue to.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Stay a tight knit group. They leave in each other,
don't playing fingers and just got them to.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Play for each other.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Or do you think about it that that was I
have a starting quarterback for a lout whole time, but
just thinking it straight, I mean it's tough. Yeah, but
you know you look forward. You know you can't worry
about the passing march yet you learned from it. But
after Monday, when you watch the film, you flush it.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
You're on to next week, your own. That's the men's
already looked up. They say, you can't worry about the results.
To trust the process.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
Is there's something you see in this locker room around
practice that gives you confidence in the.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Process that you guys can turn around And you can't
get that with yeah, one hundred percent.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
I mean you see how it is right now, Like
we turn around, like all the guys sitting there like
on the couch is doing whatever they're doing. Like it's
it's still a tight ended group guys that have their
headphones there and guys are like not not talking to
each other. Right, so this locker room is very tight,
Like we still operate the same way whether we're winning orders,
and like we're very close to stay that way. You
just have to find a couple more of those plays
on sidings about the one
