Speaker 1 (00:00):
There was a lot more energy and effort just coming
from the team and time this year, and I think
you're that seventeen yard run you had, We just kind
of moved.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Through carried a bunch of tackers with you.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Which what was kind of was there any kind of
extra juice from you guys this week just with playing
with more energy, more effort this in.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
General, I would to say any extra Calf was definitely
that was kind of one of his things going into
the week was just you know, playing and leaving no
doubt and just playing, you know, with a lot of energy.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
You know, we we had some of the you.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Know, practice players on the sideline and you know, the
way we practiced this week was or last week was
a little more energized. And that that's just based off
of Calf and how he wanted things ran in practice
and it kind of carried over and kind of it
carried over to the game, and I think it was
very evident just by the the energy you know, offense, defense,
(00:56):
pacial teams that you know everyone had and.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
The way you guys are on the ball lately. Obviously
Dart's been such a big part of the run game
to you and scat but just after a game like
that where you and Motor really kind of, you know,
asserted yourselves, do you think that that can be a formula,
you know, continuing to go forward and start comes back
where you guys, can you know, continue to assert yourselves
in the run game.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
The way you did? Yeah, I definitely do.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Obviously, Dark's legs, his his legs are is an asset,
you know, to our offense. So I definitely think we're
you know, with him coming back. I think that his
legs will will help us in certain areas of the
field and he'll help us get it out of certain situations.
But yeah, going forward, I definitely do think that, you know,
(01:39):
me and Motor, the way we run and how we
complement each other throughout the game and just how to
flow the flow of the game and how it goes
and how it you know, it's really easy between us two.
I definitely do think, you know, that game, really we
kind of asserted ourselves, I guess you can say. But
at the same time, Dark Legs is gonna be asset
(02:04):
art stables in.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Atrix. How's going good?
Speaker 4 (02:11):
You know you mentioned in relationship between you and Motor
and I think back a couple of weeks ago. You know,
when Cam got hurt, you talked about how you know,
as happy as you were for him and what he
was doing. Then it gets hurt, it's another opportunity. I'm
curious for you. Does it surprise you at all, like
during the game watching you how excited you are for
Motor and vice versa, that your relationships have seemed to
(02:33):
get stronger, even though you know some guys might look
at it and say, you know you're taking away opportunities.
You know, he gets the touchdowns, you know you're you
know you're getting the yardage. I'm just curious from a
personal aspect of it, are you surprised sometimes at how
good you feel for Motor and when he's doing a
good job, when you could easily look at it and say,
(02:56):
you know, I should.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Be the one out there. Oh?
Speaker 3 (02:59):
No, to answer, I mean it's very simple for me.
I'm a team player. I want whoever's out there, whether
it's me, Motor, Scat E. G.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Turbo like whoever it is, like, I want them to
do good.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
I really don't don't care to have, you know, all
the touches, all the touchdowns, that's not really my m O.
I'm just a big dude that you know, whoever's in
the RB room, if you're out there on the football field,
you're producing, whether again whether I don't care what your
name is, but it doesn't surprise me again, and I
(03:33):
mean it shouldn't surprise anyone else. If you look back
to win Scatt scored his first touchdown in Dallas, I was,
you know, first one on the field, you know, running
to congratulate him.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
That's just who I am. That's just who I am.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
I'm like say, I'm a team first guy. And I'm
also like a big relationship guy as well. Like it's
not it's bigger than football, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
He's my brothers.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
You know, we go out to ego of each other's houses.
We you know, talk to talk about life like this
deep in the football. So when I see him do
good again, it's it's more than just him scoring touchdown,
you know what I'm saying. Like, I want him to
have success as much as I want myself to have success.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
So why weren't Why didn't you have Cam's back last
night when he started uh fighting in the garden.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
See, I wasn't there last night. I believe I was fighting.
I was fighting at home though, telling him to duck
to and sit and sit down. But you know it's
Cam Cam Kim, a wild man, Kim and wild man,
so uh and I mean everybody knows that.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
So he gonna he's gonna go out there and do
what he do. Thanks man, all sworts, Hey, how you
doing doing? Go ahead, don't fall all right?
Speaker 3 (04:45):
All right?
Speaker 5 (04:47):
You know you've never been shy, you know, to start
seasons to talk about numbers and and and your goals
and things like that.
Speaker 6 (04:53):
Do you recalibrate you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (04:55):
When things you know the numbers are not going to
be there, and you know the way the season has gon,
you know, now you're getting you know more, do you
kind of recalibrate and say, boy, I'd love to finish
with this now. I mean, I know you're a team guy,
and I know you want to win. That's obviously your priority.
But you also want to put numbers up to help
the team win. So do you recalibrate that, you know,
it's kind of say, boy, if I could finish with this,
(05:17):
this will be good.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Considering how I started to answer your question, No, not really.
At the beginning of the season, it's good to have
of goals just to know you know you're aiming for.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
You alway want to shoot for the starts, shoot for
you know, bigger and better than what you did the
previous year. But as the season continue, you really just
have to take a game by game. So there's really
no numbers involved in really anything that I that I'm
doing up to this point and going forward as as well.
I'm just gonna go out there and play football.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
You know.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
When I when the ball touched my hand, I'm trying
to do something positive rather run pass, And if I
don't have the ball, I'm trying to protect those who
are who has the ball. So yeah, to answer a question,
I really don't have any numbers at the moment, and
I probably most likely won't have any numbers for the
rest of the season just for the fact of it
(06:11):
really doesn't matter. To be honest, I'm just trying to
go out there for my team in a good situation.
And at the end of the day, numbers look better
when you have w's you know, on your side. So
when I can help my team win, you know, that's
when numbers will matter. Because if you really think about it,
like I think I had like eighty eight yards something
(06:32):
like that. You know, eight yards look really good when
you have a W, you know, to sit back on
or free the yard really look good. We have W
sit back on, but you have you know, one hundred
and fifty yards, but you lost the game, Like, yeah,
you had a good individual performance, but you know, you
still come home with an L and you're feeling you're
feeling sorry the next day. So I would much rather
(06:56):
have a W than you know, any individual stat.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
One more, can you the screen passed that probably should.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Have been stopped for no gain that you picked up?
What twenty on? Can you go through that for me?
Speaker 5 (07:08):
And at some point when you're going through that, is
it just instinctive or in you on your head?
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Are you are you thinking I'm carrying guys here?
Speaker 5 (07:17):
You know, And I'm gonna take this as far as
I can because really, the way the play started, you
can tell me you look like it could.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Have been blown up for no game.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yeah, So on that play, well it was two screens.
The first screen was just a little chip screen. But
I knew I did the do across me fifty six.
I believe he had me man, so you know when
he was following me out, I knew I had a
blocker coming as well to you know, get the get
(07:46):
the play started, and he got him just enough so
that you know, obviously he didn't blow me up, but
I knew it was a chance that I would get hit,
so I was really preparing myself, you know, either to
make a move or to make to make a miss
or just to break the tackle, regardless of what was
going on.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
But the first thing is always the first thing is
to catch the ball.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
But after I called it made a miss, I see,
you know, GVR job running in front of me, so
now you know, getting play started. Now it's really just
up to me and my instincts and really just doing
what I do with the football. You know, I cut back.
GVR had a nice little chip block on D line
and that was kind of trying to chase me down.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
And then yeah, the rest of it is really just
very instinctive.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
It wasn't really any thinking really, just because everything's going
moving so fast. There's really no time to think because
mind you, like they're trying to get me down.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
I'm trying to get yards.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
And then I think it was like third and like twelve,
I believe, or third thirteen something like that. So in
my head, I'm just trying to get twelve thirteen yards
just so our office can stay on the field.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Everything else after that it's bonus, you know.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Obviously I'm doing my best trying to you know, score
a touchdown. But however many yards I get, you know,
over you know, twelve thirteen was you know, a good
good play for me.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Just keep the likes moving, right, Yeah, that's it. Appreciate it,
Thank you, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Last one Ryan's leaving, Hey, Tyrone, thanks for doing this?
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Yeah, yeah, thank you. What do you think of I don't.
Speaker 6 (09:19):
Know that fans really understand the New Giants weekly schedule,
Like what you're not usually?
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Are you not usually.
Speaker 7 (09:26):
In on Tuesdays? Or do you come in any way
on your off day? And Kafka said yesterday, like he
thought one reason he changed it was maybe like film
sessions with an extra day in between would be maybe
less emotional today.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
So did you.
Speaker 7 (09:40):
Notice any kind of change in watching film on Tuesday
versus Monday?
Speaker 6 (09:45):
And what are you actually giving up here? Like what
would you normally be doing on a Tuesday if you
weren't in today?
Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yeah? So I mean me personally, I do feel a change.
I feel like we got.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
A little bit more time because after the game usually
come in early, you know, or not early, but uh
around like one pm on a Monday.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
With our old schedule.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Then you get Tuesday off this schedule, you get Monday off,
so you really don't have to come in, but you know,
those who choose to can come in either get a
list or you know, just do some recovery for your body,
but it's not it's not mindatory.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
And then on Tuesday, which is.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Today, everyone is alreay probably already watch the film at
least one time, either on your ipass or in here,
so the coaches get to go through it with you.
And then also it's kind of like a everyone's lighthearted
because you already watched it, you know, so you really
get all your emotions out. You get to see it,
you know, from a clear lens. I think on a
(10:43):
on a Monday, you come in, everything's still fresh, you know,
whether it's good or bad, everything's kind of still fresh show.
I think, you know, having that Monday off and then
coming in on a Tuesday and watching it, you know,
you get to see it from a from a clear
lens and with no emotions, no, no egos, no nothing.
And then what I usually do on a Tuesday was
(11:04):
just recovery. I would come in, do you get some massage, acupuncture,
co plunge, and then do some red light therapy. Then
you know, the rest of the day is really yours,
just you know, for whatever you choose to do
