Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tell everyone we've been talking about for the last month.
You seem to have your legs going, you seem to
have that run game going. And today it was hard
for seventy plus yards. But I thought it was an
effective run game, even though the fasting game wasn't really
working so well.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Yeah, I mean, I think we had a good plan.
The online coach, you know, tight ends coach, they came together,
put it, put together a great plan for the run game,
and we went out there and executed.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
How much did you know about the run game being
the heavy part of the game plan going into the week.
I mean, you knew they were gonna blitz a lot, right,
but you couldn't have anticipated the wind was going to
be as cold and as effective as it was. So
what was the thought going in with the run game?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Yeah, I mean, we knew that we was gonna run
the ball. I think as as running backs we want,
these are the type of game that we want just
because of the They're relying on us to make a
play and they're relying on us in the run game
to get the offense going. And that's you know, we
carry our pride of that type of pride within our
room just to be the motor of the offense and
continue to get first out the first down and tried

(01:00):
to skip third nowns.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
I think today you.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Know within the run game and we did that all right.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Now. You knew coming in you're gonna run it a lot,
but you also know that when you do try to
throw it, they're gonna be applying a lot of heat.
You knew that your left guard, your starting left guard,
Runion was out before the game, and yet you guys
as running backs have to helping that pass protection. How
well do you think you did with that, because even
though you didn't throw it much, you also didn't gain a.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Lot of you arch, Yeah, I think I think we did.
We did find protection at Obviously you can always clean
the stuff up from our room.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
I had a hold in affenity.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
But for the most part, I think you know, when
our number was called, we heard of our our end
of the bargain. But I think overall, as the offense,
we just have to clean up the little details be
more efficient when you know the type of blitzes present
themselves in the game.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
What was the most difficult part about the last offensive
drive that you guys had when you were trying to
go down for the tig field goal and then wound
up turning it over run down to real.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Weally noting difficult about it. To be honest, I think
we had the right play calls in the play calusing
me personally, I got to get more out of some
of the runs that we had within that last drive.
But yeah, I mean I think when when the ball
comes your way and you know, you have the opportunity
to see the moment, Yeah, sees the moment, and I

(02:15):
think that overall we as a as an officer unit,
we have to do better at that general.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Thanks for time, Yeah, thank you. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
I think fifteen straight runs to start to start the game,
did you was that wanting to balance out the blitz
of the Viking?

Speaker 2 (02:33):
It's just the wind?

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Was that?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
What do you think that was?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
I mean, when you start the game off with thirty
yard bomb and another fifteen yard bomb, you you want
to run the ball as much as you can. I
think we had a good plan coming out, you know,
to hammer the ball and just really just give in
to our running backs and allow us to work. And
as I said, I think that that was working well

(02:57):
throughout the first half. I think that we just kind
of slowed down, you know, as the game went on,
they wanted to have time. They made some adjustments. Like
I said, they had some great coaching tips on theyself.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
How hard is it to go against that defense? I mean,
obviously you have to pick up blitzes as a as
a running back. I mean how hard is it when
they're coming from all different angles and whatnot.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
I mean I wouldn't even I wouldn't say it's hard.
I think we just got to rely on unique. Maybe yeah,
it's unique, it's unique as definitely unique. But at the
same time, like we have rules in place throughout the week,
you know, we go out and EXE, that's really it.
Like I wouldn't I wouldn't say it's hard at all.
I think that we'd have to rely all the things
that you know we was talking throughout the week. You know,
on Sunday got to execute.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
What was the mindset in the huddle there the last
time you guys said the ball they go ahead sixteen thirteen,
you guys get out midfield. What was set in the
huddle there or what was.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Like the energy make a play, make a play was
the same energy that we had the whole game. It
wasn't nothing different, and go out there making play. Somebody
make a play, and then you know we back in it.
You know, I think that we didn't. We didn't waiver
as an offense. Like whatever happened, that happened, And we
just have to go out there each and ever snap
thinking the exact same way as we did in the
first quarter, and that with that first snap and the

(04:13):
last quarter of the last time, like you don't it
doesn't matter, you know what the situation is.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
And then last for you, I mean, it seems like
you individually and now focus on the individual. It seems
like you're finishing the season pretty strong. How important is
that to you?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I mean, it's important to me, man, But I mean
the most poortant thing is winning. It don't matter how
many you know, the yards I get. It doesn't matter
how many touchdowns I get. Man, everything's feels better when
you win. And if I get, you know, one touchdown,
but I only have twenty yards, but we win, that's
a really great feeling. Like last week, I had two
toes but we lost, Like yes, cool to say I
had two touchdowns, but we lost the game. So it

(04:47):
really don't matter in the grand scheme of things. So
I think once we start winning, everything else will obviously
feel better when we come back, and the.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Love you feel like that's gonna start out. I mean
it's ten ten last year, nine nine in a row
this year.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
What's the confident about a Eventually you will start winning.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Yeah, I mean you got well, if you watch the game,
man like we're close. We're close. We just got to
start finishing out the game.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
That's really it.
