Speaker 1 (00:00):
Anything, or how you doing good? How you doing good?

Speaker 2 (00:02):
We didn't get to meet last year. I just joined
the Beat in December, so good to meet you.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
It's good to meet you.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Just first off, how are you doing with the with
your INJURYCT? No, you have surgery, We get surgery, right.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Yeah, I'm I'm doing really good right now, getting better
every day. I like where I'm at right now. So yeah,
I'm feeling good, really good right now.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Any any time taill we had a wing to be back?
Are you good to go at this point?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Or yeah, we're We're taking a day at a time
and and like I said, I'm getting better every day
and I like where I'm at right now.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Sure, So how does it feel this year being back
for workers? Obviously last year it was just kind of
a learning period, but it's kind of what was it
like for you just to kind of be in this
year to feel more comfortable and everything.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah, it's it's really cool to like know what to
expect and kind of have my feet under me this
year and not being a rookie and kind of feeling
like everything's kind of coming at me in a million
miles an hour. So it's really great to start from
the beginning of the off season program as well. I'm
excited to, you know, get a full off season here.
So yeah, I'm I'm really excited to be back and

(01:01):
get back to work.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Thank you, Artable, Hey THEO. What's going on? How you doing?

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Art Good? A couple of things, one for you. I
don't know if you heard. When we first got the
chance to talk to Russell Wilson, one of the first
guys he started raving about was THEO Johnson. And I'm curious.
I know you've gotten a chance to work with him
a little bit. What do you think about your new quarterback,
who I would imagine you've watched a lot on TV

(01:30):
through high school and college.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yeah, I'm super excited to work with him, you know,
the little bit that we've worked together, I think he's
gonna be not only great for our offense, but for
our team just you know, the energy and the enthusiasm
he brings every day with everything that he does, and
and just the leadership he's gonna bring, the experience. I
think it's gonna be super valuable for our offense. You know,
we got a young offense, a young skill unit, so

(01:54):
I think it's gonna be super valuable for us, and
I'm super excited to see what we can do with
him throwing us the balls this year.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Now, I thought Penn State was always linebacker you, but
seems to have a nice tight end flavor of the
last couple of years with all you guys out there.
We were at the combine and we had your buddy
talking about how much you were a mentor for him. Uh,
Thursday is going to be a big night for him,
And I'm curious have you put in a good word
hoping that Obviously it doesn't look like they're coming to

(02:22):
take your spot here, but you know the team on
the other side of town might be looking for a
tight end in that spot. I'm curious your conversations with
with Tyler and what you know, what you've shared about
the process in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah, I've always had nothing but good things to say
about Tyler. I got a ton of respect for him.
He's he's one of my closest friends. We keep in
contact a bunch. We've been talking a whole bunch through
this process. For him, I think he's going to be
a study in this league. Whoever gets him is going
to get a tremendous tight end. It's going to play
for a long time. He handles his business the right way,
like he's already a pro, and he's he's not even

(02:55):
a pro yet. So you know, I'm not sure what
he's gonna end up, but I'm supercited to see where
he ends up, and he's gonna do really well.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I'm excited for him.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
So basically, if he comes to New York, uh, you
guys will be looking for an apartment between Floria Park.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
And Yeah, man, I'll be I'll be juice stuff if
he's over here, like truly, like I'll be super thrilled.
Like playing next to him made my job a whole
lot easier. We made each other better every single day.
I'm I'm a better player after having played with him.
So I'm I'm super excite excited to see where he
ends up.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Fun. Paul Schwartz, Hey deal, how are you good? How
you doing? Paul, I'm good, I'm good. Speaking about being
juiced up.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
You were a teammate of Andre Carter for two years
of Penn State.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Is that correct, Drake Carter doesn't ring a bell? He Carter?
Oh yes, Carter, I'm sorry, yeah, yes, two years?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Right?

Speaker 1 (03:57):
What do you remember about him as a teammate. Yeah,
guy brings a lot of juice. Good good ball player.
I think he's gonna do really well in this league.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
And were you were you out with Russ in San
Diego or in Atlanta at all?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, he came. He came to Atlanta and threw with us.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Okay, And were you able to do anything or you
just kind of you know, watching at this point?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yeah, No, I was. I was in the thrown sessions.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I mean, can you tell he's a veteran right away?

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Just from throwing with him the first time that kind
of stuff.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Yeah, I mean from the very first, you know, first
interaction with him, you could tell the guy. The guy
knows a lot of ball. And the thing that the
biggest takeaway for me was just his passion, Like he
loves football and and every aspect of the game, which
is infectious and something that's he's going to infect in

(04:50):
our in our locker room. Just his love and his
passion for the game.
