Speaker 1 (00:00):
I saw you kind of.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Walk off today. Uh, this practice just just like I said,
just practice.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
You know, things get heated out there is but everything is,
everything gets you know resolved, you know when we have
those one on one conversations. So you know we had
the one on one conversation when I got in there.
But you know, it's practice. Things happen out there. We
just it takes bigger people to resolve the resolve the
situation and come back the next day, you know, fixing everything.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
So it's good. Oh no, it was just about getting
It was just about the whole practice. The whole time.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
We just just taking a coup be on what we're
supposed to do. But there was nothing really intense that
happen in practice. It was just it's practice. Fire mos
gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
It's football. What's the biggest difference for you know, different
different I've obbably seen like.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
A different scheme, you know, being everywhere, being you know,
in the slot, being in the other positions, being at
being tight end in the backfield, having a bigger role,
you know, getting a lot of guys have a new QB,
have a new QB room. So that's probably the biggest
about this year.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
How much more outspoken are you?

Speaker 1 (01:09):
I mean, we saw you that year from our perspective,
if you were kind of on the client side.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
I don't know if that's accurate or not. You feel me,
but you feel like more comfortable now and maybe are
you more outspoken? Really want to speak your mind? What's
that like for you? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
I mean you know last year, you know, like you said,
you know, I was coming in, you know, didn't know
a lot of people, trying to you know, feel myself wrong,
trying to develop that relationship in the locker room with guys.
But I think, you know, my teammates didn't want me
to you know, voice my opinions. They feel like, you know,
I'm a key factor in this you know, this football team.
So for me to have that also, you know, word
player say, so just you know, speaking speaking out, you know,

(01:47):
trying to get the team going, all righty if I
see anything, just saying something that just goes to show
how much you know, my teammates believe in me and
they want me to do this type of thing. So,
like you said, you know, I don't speak a lot,
but you know, when it's necessary to, I will speak
when things are not going well, you know, I will
speak my you know, opinions and.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Try to get everybody on the same page. Is the
natural for you, like you said, I mean to speak
up about it.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Yeah, I mean it's not natural, you know, personally, but
you know, sometimes you gotta step out your comfort zone
if we want to get the right, if we want
everything to go right this season, your best players have
to do those things.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
And you know, you know, I have to do those things.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
When the office is not going well, we don't have
our you know, our vocal leaders. It's up to me
to you know, try to get that going, try to
get the office going and stuff like that. So you know,
I want to do those things. But it's not in
my comfort zone a lot right now. But I've been
taking those steps for it to do those type of things.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
I feel good. You know. I know it haven't been
you know, it's been a little ride, but right now
I feel good. Do you feel since you experience? Yeah,
I feel like I'm always ready.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
You know, when the when, when it's game time, when
those lights on, I believe, you know, my body's.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Gonna turn it on.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
He's gonna be ready for you.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Just like a weaker minor thing and like a minor thing.
They just kind of play it safe with you there. Yeah,
that kind of see what it was. Yeah, you mentioned
having a new quarterback.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
How did you feel your.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Chemistry and refores with Russ as you season?

Speaker 1 (03:21):
What you do to work on it? You know, in
this off season, you know, we had a type of time.
You know, we had a lot of time together. You know,
we as a whole offensive group. You know, we got
some time to spend out you know, in California with
him in San Diego.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
So we had a lot of time.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
You know, which spring I wasn't able to really do
those types of things, you know, dealing with you know,
you know what I had going on at time, but
I still was continue to get catches after practice with him,
seeing what he seems, hearing what he thinks, you know,
continue to watch you know, football with him, you know,
hearing his thoughts how he wants things to be run,
how actually how I like things to be run. So
I think we've been on the same page a lot.
You know, that connection is going to keep growing. You know,

(03:56):
it can never be, you know, as great as we
want it to be, but it's gonna be you know,
as good as we hope it's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
But you know, we.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Continue to still get work, try to get those sketches,
you know, in and out.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
But the relationship has been going great.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
I mean, I mean, yeah, you know when you're when
your quarterback is able to you know, pick apart defense
as good as we said, you know, know what's going on,
Know where he wanted goes with the ball. You know,
it makes the receiver a job a whole lot easier,
you know, right there being me here his thoughts and
already know you know what he's thinking of wheting to be,
you know, body language and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
It's been good. I mean, I think he shows a
lot of it in the office.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
You know, he goes back into Seattle and talks about
a couple of plays that he has run, and.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
He was throwing a lot of touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
So I'm gonna do whatever he tells me to do
if he's going to resolve in a touchdown, so I'm
doing whatever he tells me.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
What have you learned? I think the broadcast mentioned is
a time outside time is the place learning about him
a person and what he's able to teacher.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yeah, I mean, like I said, you know, I'm a
person when I'm wrong, you know, I spectate, you know,
but you know, he's an amazing, amazing person, amazing father.
You know, his family is amazing. The right he has
the right people around him that keeps him going. He
has a good process going around him. So if I
can take anything any lessons from him, just look at what,

(05:29):
you know, all the things he's accomplished and doing those
right things. I think it's grown on me. I thought,
I hope it grows on me, and just to do
the right things. So, you know, being around him is
is is that is that early that early process that
I'm taking as a as a as a young you know,
young man, just trying to you know, pick up little
pieces to help me grow as a as a person,
as a man.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
The preseasons, you know, that's in the past that we're trading.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
We wanted down finally here.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
What are you looking forward to now? Specifically? You know,
you get to get the regular season, get the pitch,
really gonna win some games. That's all I can say
is I'm looking to win some game.
