Nadja (00:02):
Hello and welcome to
Gifted Unleashed, where we talk
about the gifted and twice-exceptional brain and how it
affects our thinking andexperience of the world
differently.
There are a lot of stereotypesand stigma around the term
giftedness, and I'm here tochallenge those.
I'm here to raise awareness andto have a conversation around
the topic of what it means to bea gifted and 2e adult.
Common experience among giftedfolks is that they feel out of
(00:26):
place.
They don't quite fit in.
They are too sensitive, toointense, too emotional, too
overexcitable and too deepthinkers about the world and
about themselves.
So if you have been called toomuch of about anything, then
this show is for you.
My name is Nadja.
I'm too loud, too colorful, toobubbly, too bossy and I love to
talk too much.
So welcome to my world and I'mso happy you're here.
(00:47):
Welcome and hello.
I'm so excited to be back herewith you and I'm so excited to
resume this podcast and startingto share new episodes with you.
So today is only a shortepisode and more of a teaser of
what's to come and to tell you alittle bit of what has been
(01:09):
going on behind the scenes andwhat to expect in the coming
months.
So the first thing, and themost obvious, is the podcast,
and my website has received amajor upgrade in design and
brand, so you may have noticed,we're now called Gifted
Unleashed and I finally, afterthree years, I feel empowered
(01:33):
enough to embrace the termgifted and to call it what it is
and letting go of UnleashedMonday, which was more of a
generic term to lure in some newlisteners.
However, I believe people aresearching for the term gifted
and they're looking forcommunity, so owning the term,
(01:58):
owning this word, the G word, soit's Gifted Unleashed, and I
hope you're here with me forthis amazing journey of
unleashing your own giftednessand your 2e-ness.
This is a space for the newterm is neuro spicy, I heard.
So this is a space for twice-exceptional, tirce- exceptional
(02:22):
and all the ", and I willcontinue making amazing content
for you and having exceptionalguests.
So there's already a few newepisodes in the making.
I hope you're excited and justfollow by clicking follow on
wherever you listen to thepodcast so you will receive the
(02:45):
latest episodes, because I won'tbe uploading them on a
bi-weekly basis at this point.
I would love to, but currently, with time and energy balance, I
think they might be a littlebit unregularly released.
So just follow and you will see, and I will announce it on the
(03:07):
social media websites.
And if you want, pleasesubscribe to the newsletter.
You can find that ongiftedunleashed.
com there's a newslettersubscription box and I will let
you know when we have a newepisode out.
And if you love the design, thenalso please drop a comment on
(03:29):
the website or send an email.
And if you would love such abeautiful design for yourself,
then you can find Liz, who mademy website, who was also on the
podcast.
I will link her website ontothe show notes.
It's mytrudesign.
com and you can reach out to herif you need some support with
(03:51):
your design.
And yeah, I feel it looksprofessional.
I feel like it looks fresh andfun and bubbly, beautiful and
welcoming and I hope you alsolike it.
And what else is new?
Over the past one and a halfyears I have dug deeper into the
(04:14):
whole topic of giftedness, butalso overexcidabilities, adhd
and where it all overlaps, and Ilearned a lot about myself, a
lot about what is it that makesmyself unique and what is
something that is not just mebut other people and where we
can relate to each other.
(04:36):
And it has been a healingjourney, but it has been an
intense journey.
So I would like to say thatthis was a positive
disintegration and I needed sometime and some space away from
this, more public space, to kindof figure this out in the
background and to go throughthis whole transformation, to
(04:57):
really kind of disassemble andre-peace together.
And yeah, on top of that, Ithink a lot of us neurodivergent
and gifted people probablyexperienced some form of
existential depression over thelast two years and I don't want
to just brush over this.
I think a lot of us aresuffering, are suffering greatly
(05:20):
and are currently suffering alot of what is going on in the
world.
And I just want to say that thisis not a political show, but I
want to say that this is ahumanitarian show.
This is really a place where wecan support each other, love
each other, connect with eachother and be human and be
(05:42):
vulnerable and share our sharedexperience and also our shared
suffering and support for eachother, and connect on a human
level and be connected with ourshared values.
This is what I wanted to say,and I still believe in the good
and are hopeful for the world, and I want to share this
(06:06):
positivity and this hope withyou as much as I can and show up
for you in this way and, yeah, have a space here where you feel
loved, seen, valued and whereyou can express your own true
and authentic self on mask.
So, yeah, with that said, I'mvery excited, hopeful and
(06:28):
positive for this endeavor andthis new revamped podcast, this
relaunch of Gifted Unleashed andthis is all what I wanted to
say today to you and I'm lookingforward to this journey and I'm
looking forward to connectingwith you soon.
And stay tuned for the nextepisode with another guest, and
(06:50):
I can say Julie Skolnick is backand she has written an amazing
book.
It's called Gifted andDistractable, and I interviewed
her and this episode is going tocome out very, very soon.
So stay tuned and I see youthen.
Bye, you, you, you, you, you.
