Speaker 1 (00:02):
This is a bramble Jam podcast. Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark,
(00:24):
a Hallmark review podcast. I'm Megan and I'm a longtime
Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy. I'm a former Hallmark hater. This
week we're wrapping up the final movies in twenty twenty
five's Fall into Love lineups, starting with Halout the Halloween,
which originally aired on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, October eleventh,
twenty twenty five. You know what this means? The last
week of fall programming here on Girls Gone Hamewark. Yeah,
(00:48):
does this give any indication of my excitement for what's
to come? I'm drinking a tazzo joy? Oh you right now?
This is his easy. Yes, I'm excited. I did and
a little stressed, but you know, yeah, Wendy, last night
she was like, we need to meet tomorrow. We gotta
figure out our plan. A little bit of a crash out,
(01:10):
but that's all good stuff for the listeners, it's not
you know. Yes, Countdown to Christmas will begin this Friday.
Can you believe that? I'm excited? I'm really excited, but
I am a little bit surprised by how quickly it
snuck up on me. I know almost because life is
happening around us in big ways, and so I think
(01:34):
the fact that it's here again feels like, oh, I'm
not prepared, yeah, but also very excited. Can I tell
you before we even get into our review here, I'm
going to talk about Christmas for a second. You know
how every year, in January or maybe it's like late December,
we'll do like our our March Madness esque. Yeah movie,
(02:00):
I'm really on the fence about doing it this year.
Oh yes, I agree, because last year, well, every year
it's a ton of work, yes, And last year, while
so appreciated, there were so many comments about like, you
should do it this way, you should do it that way,
you should do it this way, and I don't know
if I have the brain power too well, here are
my issues. Aside from the feedback about the way it's done.
(02:24):
There were some things that happened at ninety nine per Ton.
Of the people that participate are great and do it
all in good fun and make it a great time.
But there were a few things that happened last year
where people were creating new accounts just to vote, and
I feel like it's kind of not in the spirit
of what we're doing here. And then during the way
home season, we had someone purchase bots to vote on
(02:45):
a meaningless poll. We did, right, and it got me
thinking about the countdown to Christmas Bracket and the way
in which people can now gain the system. And I
don't really want any part of it if people are
going to be gross about it. Yeah, so I am
a little bit worried. So please let us know your
thoughts on the account on a Christmas bracket because it is,
(03:07):
for the most part, a good time. Yeah, it's just
for fun, but a few bad apples can spoil the
whole bunch. Yeah, and the fate of that project remains
to be seen. On the flip side of it, there's
less movies this year, sure, so it won't run as long.
Might be a little bit easier to manage as well,
(03:28):
So I again, I wouldn't have to do that whole
vote in bracket business exactly. Only twenty seven movies, right, exactly,
So I'm on the fence. I would love to hear
from listeners if they're like, oh my god, I look
forward to that every year. It's so much fun to
play along with. Let us know, let us know you
(03:49):
hold the key to the bracket in your hands because
we are highly suggestible and so really it's only going
to take a couple people to be like, oh, what
do you mean, you're not doing the racket. Totally I agree,
and we're the only ones who do it, so like
meaning like we're the only podcast who does it, and honestly,
it's a good time. It's fun. Well, speaking of the bracket,
(04:11):
you should be following us on Instagram work Girls Gone
Hallmark over there. That's where we find the bracket plus
breaking Hallmark news plus all kinds of fun stuff from
us over there. Also, we've been working on beefing up
our Girls Gone Hamewark TikTok account, so we are Girls
Gone Hallmark on TikTok as well. Look, if you're on TikTok,
I love TikTok everybody. I love it so much. But
(04:34):
we used to make so much fun of me for
my TikTok obsession. Yeah no, she's down the rabbit. I'm
obsessed with it for sure. I'm trying to be on ours.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
More.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
I'm just not like comfortable like making videos, but like
I have lots of ideas. Anyway, I love our TikTok.
It's fun. It's fun. Hey, let's talk real quick about
about the schedule for a countdown to Christmas. Yeah, we've
never made an official announcement about what we're going to do.
We this is the first time. We are going to
(05:11):
cover and review every new Hallmark movie this season, every
single one. Are you doing this series two? We're going
to do Finding Mister Christmas? Yes, Yes, can't wait. We're
going to do twelve dates till Christmas. Yes, we're gonna
do Missletoe Murders.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
As for the others, follow us on social media. That's right,
we'll talk about it there. Maybe there'll be a surprise.
So excited, so please tune in. We're going to cover
every single movie, every single new movie. I cannot wait.
I can't believe I say that our first year that
we did this, we did like one movie a week
a week. Isn't that crazy? And that here we are
(05:50):
So I am happy that Homewark has only got twenty
seven movies this year and not forty because I don't know.
I don't know if I could say we're doing every
new movie. No, it's much more manageable this year. I'm excited. Yeah,
so follow our Instagram, Join our Facebook group Girls Gone Hallmark.
Follow our Facebook page Girls Gone Hallmark. We will be
(06:11):
putting out like the weekly schedule, everything we're covering, et cetera,
et cetera. We can't wait for it to have you
in all places. Well, now, let's talk hall Out the
Halloween with asynopsis, Halloween obsessed neighbors inspire residents of Evergreen
Lane to haul out their spookiest costumes and decor to
(06:32):
become ever Scream Lane. McLean Nelson is back at the
Helm for Haul Out the Halloween, having previously directed both
Haul Out the Holly and Haul Out the Holly Lit Up.
His Hallmark resume also includes gems like the Magic of
Lemon Drops Branching Out and the Presence of Love, as
well as the recent Home Turf. Nelson also gets credit
(06:54):
for the teleplay, while Christopher Say is credited with the
story idea. Lacy shabers as Emily A. Lacy has one
hundred and eighty three acting credits and was last seen
opposite Robert Buckley in an Unexpected Valentine in early twenty
twenty five. She will also star with Andrew Walker in
the upcoming She's Making a List, premiering this countdown to
(07:16):
Christmas season. This cast list reads like a who's who
of what's coming. Wes Brown stars as Jared. This movie
marks his fifty fifth acting credit. We last saw Wes
in a cameo during Holiday Touchdown A Chief's Love Story,
as well as Deck the Walls, both in twenty twenty four.
You will also co star in the upcoming A Newport Christmas.
(07:38):
You know It's not noted here, but Wes Brown is
also the host of the fourthcoming Ready Set Glow Yeah,
which will premiere on Hallmark Channel. It was a Hallmark
Plus exclusive last year. Yeah. It's a fun little watch
if you're into Christmas decor, you know, neighborhood display, That's
(08:00):
what I was looking for. Melissa Peterman returns as Pamela.
Melissa's currently co starring in the NBC comedy Happiest Place,
and will return as co host and judge in the
second season of Finding Mister Christmas. Stephen Tobolowski returns as
Ned with two hundred and ninety eight acting credit. Stephen
recently appeared in the theatrical release of Freaky or Friday
(08:23):
Fun Fact. He will also appear in the forthcoming Mimics,
which is a non Hallmark Christopher Polaja directed movie. Laura
Wardle plays Jared's mom Belenda. This is her eighth acting credit,
and she did appear in the previous two movies. Allen
Travolta returns as Mary Louise. Allen's best known for her
roles in Greece, Happy Days, Charles in Charge, and most
(08:44):
recently on General Hospital. Walter Platts Play's neighbor Bob. This
movie marks his sixty second acting credit. Walter did appear
in the previous two movies, as well as Hallmark's Switched
for Christmas in twenty seventeen. Eliza Hay plays Emily's sister Jess.
She has seventeen acting credits and has appeared in other
Hallmark movies like Hidden Gems and Taking the Reins. Ashley
(09:09):
Wheeland plays Ashlyn Ashworth. Ashley has twenty one acting credits
and this is her first role for Hallmark. Kimberly J.
Brown joins the cast as Luna, with thirty four acting
credits to her name. Kimberly is best known for her
breakout role as Marnie Piper in the nineteen ninety eight
Disney Channel classic Halloween Town, a character she reprized in
(09:29):
several beloved sequels. Beyond her spellbinding start, She's also appeared
in a long running soap operas like Guiding Light in
General Hospital, Kimberly's Real Life has Spend and former Halloween
Town two co star Daniel Koontz joins the cast as Marvin.
With twenty nine acting credits to his name. Daniel has
appeared in popular series including Er, Ghost Whisperer, and United
(09:54):
States of Tara. The two were married in twenty twenty four,
and Lacey Shaver was one of her bright We're gonna
take a quick break and we'll come right back with
our first impressions. Hey, Wendy, what was your first impression
of Haul Out the Halloween? This might be the funniest,
(10:19):
most rewatchable Hallmark movie of the year. Ooh, my first
impression is call me spellbound. I loved this third trip
into the hall Out universe. It's so funny. You say
that because I was convinced that you liked it but
didn't love it. Oh No, while I watched I loved
this movie. I was texting Megan, who had already seen it,
(10:41):
and I was like, oh my god, this is so funny.
Oh my god, this line Oh my god. I was like,
she hates me right now? No, because my like to
your first impression, My like is this movie is so
joy filled. I felt the same way at the end
of the first Haul Out the Hally movie. I was
smiling while watching the credits at the end of that movie,
and I remember looking to my husband, I mean, like,
(11:03):
wasn't that great? He did not love that movie, and
I was disappointed when he shared that with me. And
so while I was watching this, I was thinking, I'm
so excited I'm going to get to watch this again.
I was looking forward to watching it again with him
this weekend because we watched this on a screener. Yeah,
And then I was bereft when I realized we wouldn't
(11:26):
be watching it again this weekend because he's not a
fan of this universe. And then I realized I have
free will and I can watch it whenever I want.
I have so many thoughts here. I remember when we
talked about Haul Out the Holly and your husband not
liking it, and I remember probably saying to you, it's
because he's a traditionalist, like he likes the Hallmark formula. Sure,
(11:47):
and that movie during that time was different, very right
I feel like we've gotten more movies like that. Also,
like he can't stand the Gilmore Girls of it all,
He doesn't I want like the rapid Fire. Nope, I'm
not even listening to this part because nope, I have
a feeling. Okay, wait, let's get to it in a second,
(12:09):
because I have a feeling that might be a complaint
of regular Hallmark fans. Well, yeah about this movie as well. Well,
that's my point though, Like it's steeped in pop culture
and rapid fire dialogue. Don't jump ahead, I'm not. I'm
just saying that for me. I'm not giving any specific examples. Now, yeah,
(12:32):
but for me, that's what's part of what's so great
about this I agree so, and going back to the
first movie, that style is not what resonates with him.
So anyway, his opinion is not the point here. I
loved the first Haul Out the Holly movie. I loved
(12:54):
this movie. I loved this movie too. Like you said,
I caught myself smiling the entire time while I'm watching this.
I'mlike a random Wednesday afternoons. I'm laughing out loud, and
my daughter's in the other room and she's like, what
are you laughing at I'm like, this movie is so
damn funny. I'm like, I really think you would like it.
(13:17):
My seventeen year old is not interested by any means,
but I'm like, I really think you would like it.
I could see this being a movie that people trot
out every Halloween, like this is a family Halloween movie.
This is a family Halloween movie that I will put
out every year, like hocus Pocus, like it's the Great
Pumpkin I'm going to give you. I've mentioned this before.
(13:39):
It probably was on our Patreon hub Halloween hub. Halloween
is a movie. We will watch it every year in
my house. It was from twenty twenty. It has Adam Sandler.
It's stupid jokes, it's twelve year old comedy, but it
makes me laugh out loud every time I watch it.
And this had a similar vibe. Interesting. So, my husband's
(14:00):
a big Adam Sandler fan, and over the summer went
on an Adam Sandler deep dive of the movies he
might have missed, Like, you know, he's seen all the classics,
but I don't think QUB Halloween is one that comes
to mind when you're like Adam Sandler, Like, right, he
watched that, and I was like, no, because you've mentioned
it before and I wanted to watch it with him again.
I have free will and can watch it on my own.
(14:22):
And now I think I have to, you have to.
This is gonna be this is gonna be my Yeah, October,
first worlds around, I'm going to watch this movie again.
I loved it that much too. I loved it. Can
we talk about the reasons why?
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Please? You and I both liked it so much. And
I know we have talked about this a million times.
You already brought it up. But the dialogue was filled
with so many pop cultural pop culture references that it
just hit and it we've talked about, like how much
we love Gilmore Girls and how Gilmore did that during
(14:56):
that time. Of course, the reference says much older about
shrin this was this played in an area that I
was very familiar with. Yes, I don't know if a
lot of the regular Hallmark viewers will pick up on
some of the sure, I agree references they were throwing down.
(15:18):
In a little bit, I'm going to talk about some
of the specifics. Yes, we'll get to it. But yeah,
the pacne right on the money. Shout out to McLean
Nelson because not only did he write it, he directed it,
and so the rapid back and forth dialogue was just
done so well. We talked about it in Home Turf too,
like a movie he also directed, Yeah You Were, You Were?
(15:42):
You liked in that movie. How the scenes would cut
back and forth real tightly. Yeah, yeah, And that is
that does come down to directing and editing, and it
works for me. I like that kind of paycing. I
like when it's rapid fire and it feels like natural
conversation and it doesn't feel like we got this person,
now we're shooting this person and there's an uncomfortable break.
(16:03):
But it was it felt like these people know each other,
these people get each other, these people have a history.
These people are firing off inside jokes and they're firing
off jabs, and this is my family and these are
my neighbors. It just felt like like this is a
movie that has these are this is a cast that
has found its stride and found its place. And I
(16:26):
almost felt a little bit sad by that, because I
do think this is the natural conclusion of this series. No,
I don't know where else we go from here. So
that's funny. You brought that up because I was like,
is the next movie Jared going to Vienna to do
the Santa Class essentially? Right, that's a good question. But
(16:47):
then then how did the Neighbors plan to that? I'm like, yeah,
because the extended cast in this movie is so good
is what makes it. Yeah, if we can go to
the beginning of the movie, yes, so we start with
a wedding, Yes, And I'm mostly really glad that we
spent like five minutes at the top of the movie
kind of bringing this full circle, like bring it home.
They're together, they're getting married. We get this, And it's
(17:08):
so on brand with the with the series because even
the weddings themed, it's very Fall theme. The Fall colors
are very rich, and this very easily could have been
a moment where they didn't spend a lot of time
or effort. But I thought the wedding itself was quite lovely.
I agree. Those Golden hour shots were gorgeous. Yep, you
(17:29):
may kiss the bride shot through the arch with the
all of their guests cheering behind them. They had a
deep cast of background actors to fill that out and
make it look like a real wedding. And then the
bubble shot as their ex exiting. Look, I have chills
right now, so do I. First of all, I forgot
about the bubble shot when we go to Disneyland. My
(17:51):
most favorite thing is when the kids have that bubble
wand and it's just like wrapper firing bubble walking through
their their bubble track. I love it so much, and
I I don't think I've ever seen it at a
wedding like that. No, it was great. Oh, I loved it.
I loved it. The wedding scene. You're so right, it
was shot so beautifully. What I liked about it is
(18:13):
that it moved their story along, Jared and Emily's storied along,
and it was five minutes. Yes. And also what I
liked about it is that we didn't get a whole
haul out the wedding movie. Yes, you know exactly. I
liked that we were moving the story along. Here is
the next part. I thought it was beautifully done. I
(18:34):
thought it was smart. I loved Emily's voice over explaining
like why they didn't get married at Christmas. And I
don't know if you picked it up, but they did
it because it was Jared's parents anniversary. That's the date
that they got married on and I was like, that
is the sweetest thing I've ever heard of or considered.
I loved it so much and it was such a throwaway. Yeah,
(18:57):
their vowels were beautiful. Yeah, it was great. It was
so great. And it also recenters us in the cast
because it gives them a natural opportunity for these people
to be back together. And so we have them getting
ready together as their wedding party, participating in the wedding,
and so it we're right back in with the Evergreen
Lane crew. Yeah, exactly, in an event that makes sense
(19:19):
and it's not contrived exactly. On another note, Emily as
a person around Halloween is so me. She doesn't like
scary movies and she says, I don't even like movies
that people say aren't scary but they really are. Yes, girl,
Yes I too.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
On that same note, yard yelping is a no for me. Dog,
do not jump out at me. It is a rule
in my marriage.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
You know.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
You see like TikTok prank videos where people are like, Nope,
that's an immediate grounds for divorce. Do not scare me.
Do not like I don't know if you can envision it,
but if you're like do you ever walk to the
house and like you look for your husband and like
mine does knows not to do this, but like they'll
hide maybe, Yeah that's a no, right, uh huh. You
(20:04):
like you walk into a room and you think they're
there and you're like, oh, and they're not, and then
they like jump off from behind a door. Yeah, my
daughter has done it to me, and I've pushed her before. Yeah.
I don't like being I don't find it funny. Like
to me, it's mean. I I will jump if my
husband walks into the room, speaking in full view and
I am not expecting him. I startle so easily. So
(20:28):
we are not a yard yelping kind of family. And
that would have ruined a friendship for me as well too.
I would have been humiliated if my friend's yard yelped me. Yeah,
that's I would carry that grudge. Yeah yeah, yeah. What
else did you like? I loved the way Jared's slow
mo realization flashback of what's happening between his mother and
(20:50):
Ned his crash out is done so well. I loved it.
The flashback scene says He's like, oh great great. I
also really like when they are in the attic and
we see Emily's drums. Yeah, and they say Nickelback.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
I'm like, that's a real choice. Yeah. And then we
get at the end he comes out. Now, this is like,
this is the only papuls reffers I'm gonna talk about
in this segment. This is kind of like you gotta
know to know it's a real if you know, you
know moment he's dressed as Freddy Chad Krueger, that's the
lead singer of nickel That. Yeah, but he calls himself
(21:31):
Chatty Krueger. Is everyone gonna get that? I don't know,
but I think so. It is so funny because I
saw the Nickelback drums and like that, that in and
of itself is funny, and to bring it around this
movie was made for me, I know, I know.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
It's so good.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
I agree, I agree, I agree. Steven Tobolowski and Melissa Peterman,
you okay, this is comedy gold these two together. Melissa
Peterman has not talked about enough. I've always enjoyed her.
I'm not familiar with her on her show Riba. Actually
(22:14):
I don't know. It's not her show, but the show
that she was on Riba. Like, character's kind of mean, like,
I love Melissa Peterman, but Barbara Jean's kind of mean.
I don't even know. I really came into like my
Melissa Peterman crush during Finding Mister Christmas, and even though
I had seen both hal at the Hauling movies at
that time too. Look, I'm all in on her and
(22:37):
this entire movie between her and Stephen Tobolowski. The actual
like looks of disgust that she would give him, like
so much great physical comedy, right, but just like in
a nuanced look, like she was so annoyed with him
all the time, and the way they would bicker back
and forth at with each other.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
She just kiss.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
It feels like such a big get that these two
are together in this movie there. Everything you said is
so accurate, but it just is like such a gift
to get them here. They're just really at the top
of their game. Still. Yeah, agree, agree more on Peterman Peterman.
(23:19):
Her comedic timing is just so good. In that scene
where they're at the bakeoff, Yeah, and she's like intimidating
the two new you know, neighborhood people and then she
like turns her a can. She's like those are good
cookies or whatever. She's like, is she just so funny?
And then she loses the competition and it's great physical comedy.
(23:42):
She passes out and wakes up in the bed and
you were there and you were there, just like the
Wizard of Oz. Oh my god, so great. I love it.
Towards the top of the movie, Emily and Jared are
still away on their honeymoon and Jared's mom doesn't want
like they're realizing they see the Halloween decorations and they're like,
(24:04):
we got a loop in Emily and Jared, and she's like,
don't interrupt them, and she's like, we get it. You
want grand children, barb, Like right, she just fires it
back at her. I don't know why that line made
me laugh so much, but we might cut this next
park out because I could have interpreted the scene wrong.
But it was during like the her Mary Louise's husband
was bobbing for apples, yes, yeah, and he comes for
(24:28):
one and then and then Pamela says to him like, oh,
you got a good one there, Mary Louise, And I
was like, what is that? Yeah, she referring to here. Yes,
I heard it too. I was like, was that like
a full BIGU sex joke. I don't know. I heard
it too, I don't know. I don't know. The title
sequence on the moving track called the Halloween on the
(24:50):
moving truck. Nice touch, not something we've seen before. Love that.
Tell me what else you're like. I actually really enjoyed
the overall theme that the holidays are meant for and
making memories and how to pass them down to the
next generation, and really landed for me personally as a
person who doesn't love the holidays in general, and like,
(25:11):
I think it's a great timely reminder about like what
the season is supposed to be. Loved that. I loved
the mount up callback from we get in the first
movie and then we kind of get the backstory in
this movie that that was Grandma's line. She says it
to them when in that scene where after Emily is
(25:32):
scared and then she takes Emily and Jared out on
the golf car. I just loved all of the nice
catch there. Loved it. And the last thing that I
really loved. I just thought the production design was next
level cute and recently talked about like Hobby Lobby throwing
up all over that other West Brown movie when we
(25:53):
just reviewed last week yeah, under the automoon. Yeah, this
one was not as like it just the Halloween tones,
Like it was Fall and Halloween together and it just
all worked for me. It wasn't just like somebody like
randomly threw up everything. I think Halloween is better than
Fall or Christmas because you're not trying to fake anything. Yeah,
(26:15):
you're not trying to do fake leave, You're not trying
to do fake snow. You know you can just lean
into like the Halloween witches and goblins and haunted houses. Yeaheah, Yeah, yeah,
I think we've hit just every like, well, I don't
have a single wish maybe this movie me neither not one,
and that is very rare. Yeah. I read over my
(26:35):
notes over and over. I thought back, I cannot come
up with a single thing I would change me neither. Well,
let's talk. Did you see that? And I think, just
to prep the listener, this is going to be a
little bit different rather than true did you see that?
Although when he does have one, it's really just we're
going to call out all those great dialogue pop culture moments.
(26:57):
But it hit me with your true see that moment?
This is this is another if you know you know,
and I don't know. What do you mean if you know,
you know, you gotta kind of like, oh, tell me
your you know that? Okay? So the character who plays Bucky,
he comes at the end, the brother. Yeah, who's he?
The brother of Melissa Peterman's character. Yes, Bucky is played
(27:21):
by one Richard Christy. Do you know that name? Only
because I've read our Instagram dms, but I don't know
who that is?
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Yes, okay. So Richard Christy was once a longtime personality
on the Howard Stern Show. You still listen to Howard
Stern a lot early two thousands, like every single day,
and that's when Richard Christy was on the show. He
he left in two thousand and four. I recognized him
(27:47):
right away, the voice and the f I was like, no, wait,
could that be? It's funny that you know his face
isn't radio personality? Yeah? I don't know if it's because
maybe Howard Stern at one time had an E show
where they would show the broadcast the radio broadcast, you know,
on the E channel. I can't remember if it was
(28:08):
around that same time. I don't know. I just know
his face, like I'm live on social media. Sure, but
this was way pre social media. So I don't know,
but you know who he is. I knew who he
was and I couldn't believe it. Yeah, that's fun. Do
you do a lot of acting? I don't know. How
does that happen? I don't know. They shot this in Utah? Like,
does he live in Utah? Does he know somebody? Does
(28:29):
the director know him? Does the casting agent know him?
Speaker 2 (28:32):
Like?
Speaker 1 (28:33):
How did that all come together? And are you like? Yeah,
I guess he's like a he's like a drummer or
too for a band. But how do you? How do you?
How does that work? I don't know. It's like seeing
your teacher in the wild. It was like that kind
of moment. It was Yeah, I was like, wait, what
so crazy? It was so crazy. I imagine that a
(28:56):
lot of Hallmark watchers are not Howard Stern fans. Yeah,
I don't think. I don't. My point what I was
trying to say is I don't think a lot of
people are gonna be like, oh my gosh in that moment.
But hmmm, for you it stood out. Look, I appreciated it.
Are we talking about who's not in this movie? Who
Eric maybe is? Was he in the second one? Eric
(29:17):
maybe is is in the second one. Okay, let's talk
some of our favorite line. Yes, please, let's just back
and forth it Okay, can I start funeral potatoes? Do
you know what funeral potatoes? That's a very utah LDS situation.
It is like a hash brown casserole that is almost
(29:40):
mandatory at every like church pot look and right at
the top, like Pamela makes a reference to funeral potatoes.
I don't remember who she said brought them and almost
killed her with their funeral post. It made me laugh
out loud. I don't even know how I know about
funeral potatoes social media. I've seen people. It's one of
those things that come up, I feel like on the
(30:01):
old Twitter, and people would be like, do you know
what funeral potatoes are? Yeah? And then all people will
be like, exactly, we said, it's a it's a church
potluck stage Yeah, crazy funny, funny, funny funny, Emily says.
I get around her and I turned plastic about Ashland.
I was like, well, thank you for the me and
girls reference. I loved it great. Mary Louise and Belinda
(30:22):
both drop current slang. We hear Mary Louise go, what's
the tea. I thought that was really funny. Belinda, when
she's explaining to Wes about her relationship with Ned several times,
she says, we're what the kids are calling talking, yes,
which if you don't have a teenager, you wouldn't. That's
like an according like that's when we're in the talking stage.
(30:45):
Oh my god, and that she was catching feelings or
I had caught feelings and Nid was a rizzler, and
Wes was like, please don't ever.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Say that again.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
I just died, Wes, Wes as Jared, I died, and
I know you did to when they go to swig Alicious,
the soda shop and then they come back with their
giant styrofoam cups. Now, if you're not on dirty soda Internet,
especially in Utah, like you and I went. We were
(31:16):
in Utah a couple of years ago and we went
to we had to hit all the soda places. We
went to so Delicious. I don't think we went to
swig uh huh and we I gotta tell you, I'm
kind of a soda purist, like I would rather just
have a coke. Although I do like the maybe a lime,
I don't necessarily need all of the flavor really Yeah,
(31:36):
I think I like it was a fun experience and
they have fun desserts. Yeah, and the drive through line
was like forty five minutes long. Oh we had to go.
And also the soda was the size of my head.
I remember it being so big. But I just loved
I loved that they went there. I love that they
all come back with their cups. I love that they
call it swig delicious. Yeah, great, it was great. There
(31:59):
was a moment I don't need you probably didn't even
catch it, but there was. If you are a Bravo fan,
specifically a Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fan, there
was a mention about Salt Lake City and Emily says
something like, oh, they need to bring Monica back, and
if you don't watch that series, Monica was like a
(32:20):
one season Wonder Chaos agent that flipped that franchise on
its head. And I was like, oh my god, what
a great mention. It's gonna be lost on so many
people who don't watch the show. I heard it. I
loved it. My final did you see that mention is
all of the Kroller Crueler talk with giving say Strudele
(32:40):
one more time. Oh my God, you're so funny. It
didn't bother me. I loved it. Oh, it didn't bother
me either, But I just if you know, you know, yeah,
if you know strudele talk. Yeah, great stuff. What did
you rate Haul Out the Halloweens? This was a five
star stunner five stars for me too? Five stars? Can
(33:00):
I give it six? Ah? So good? Five stars? No notes?
That could be the episode. It's a ten out of ten.
