What if you truly believed your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit—not a metaphor, but a reality? This message unpacks how that revelation transforms every part of life. The Holy Spirit isn’t just a helper for hard times; He’s a permanent resident, ready to guide, empower, and strengthen you daily. By yielding our bodies as instruments of righteousness, tuning in to His inner witness, staying continually filled through worship and gratitude, and cultivating personal communion with Him, we align ourselves with God’s design. This isn’t about religious performance—it’s about deep, daily partnership with the Spirit who lives within.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Pick our Bibles up, wave them around, make Jesus
glad, the devil mad.
We've got all this perfectsoundness in us.
Tonight let's say this togetherSay Heavenly Father, thank God
for the name of Jesus, thank God, you gave me and dealt me the
measure of faith.
I've been dealt the measure offaith in the name of Jesus and

(00:21):
my faith is increasing.
It's being built on revelationof the Word of God and
illuminated by the Holy Ghost.
I'm on the winning team.
I've got the winning strategy.
The Holy Ghost always puts meover in Jesus' name.
Amen.

(00:42):
First Corinthians tonight, chapter six and verse 19.
What Know you not?
That your body is the temple ofthe Holy Ghost which is in you,
which you have of God, and youare not your own, for you are

(01:04):
bought with a price.
Therefore, glorify God in yourbody and in your spirit, which
are God's.
And so tonight I just have asimple message entitled
cooperating with the Holy ghost.
Cooperating with the Holy ghost, you know God told me a number
of years ago teach what you takefor granted.

(01:26):
I've got lots of revelationover the years, things that I've
been taught, things that Godgave me, and I don't try to
strain and try to come up withsome new thing.
I mean I find that faith comethby hearing, and hearing, I mean
we need to hear the same thing.
I've preached on this before, but we need to hear it again

(01:47):
because, you know, we need to bereminded that this body is not
ours, it doesn't belong to us,it's been bought with a price.
It's really the temple of theHoly Ghost.
And so when you read the versesup above there, you know he's
correcting the Corinthian church.

(02:08):
They were highly carnal.
The Corinthians were.
They came out of the occult andthey were very familiar with
demon powers and they dealt inthe spirit realm on a regular
basis.
And so when you're on the wrongside, the evil side of the

(02:29):
spirit realm, and you get saved, you need somebody to tell you
the truth, not get those realmsmixed up and you can start using
witchcraft in the name of Jesus.
If you're not, I mean I've seenit, you know you people just
are wrong and they, they justhad all kinds of trouble in

(02:52):
their church.
They were carnal.
He, he rebuked them for beingcarnal.
He said you know, y'all aregoing around bragging on who
baptized you and you're, you'vegot factions and you've got
favorites and you've got cliques.
He didn't use the word clique.
He uses a different word, butstill it's like just a few
people get around each other andnobody else can get in their

(03:13):
group.
I mean, that's not church, that's not the way it is.
Here you have your favorites, but look, and we're all part of
one another, everybody.
And so the word carnal meansbody ruled, and so he had to
speak to them directly and teachthem a better way to live.

(03:35):
I mean, if you keep readingthere in chapters, all the
chapters ahead of chapter six, Imean he's having to tell them,
you know what about this youngman that's sleeping with his
mother-in-law coming to church?
Open sin, adultery, that suchsin is not even named among the
heathen, that you would beliving like that in front of

(03:57):
everybody, don't you know?
A little leaven leavens, awhole lump.
Don't you let that go on?
Punish him what?
You don't punish him just topunish him.
You punish him to let him knowthat if he keeps going that way,
he's going to go to hell atsome point.
He's not there yet, but he willget there If you don't correct
it and if you don't issue somesort of proclamation.

(04:19):
So what they did is theyseparated him from the church.
They made him leave the churchand to where he didn't have the
covering of the pastor, hedidn't have the love of the
saints.
And then he got eat on by demonpowers and we don't know
whether he got sick, we don'tknow whether he, you know, went
broke.
We don't know what theconsequences were.
It doesn't say, but in the nextchapter he repented.

(04:41):
So what they did worked.
I mean the modern church, wedon't demand enough of people
that get out of order.
You know, baby Christians getinvolved in all kind of sin.
We can't just, you know, wehave to love them and we have to
teach them better.
We don't condemn them, but youknow somebody that's going to go
out in front of everybody likethat they've got to.
Everybody knows it.
Amen, are y'all with me now?

(05:08):
So you know, in the verse rightbefore the one, we read, verse
18, flee, fornication.
They had that going on in theirchurch, which is sexual
relations between unmarriedpeople.
Flee, he said, stop it.
Every sin that a man does iswithout the body, but he that
committeth fornication sinsagainst his own body.
See so, in other words, to geta revelation of what your body

(05:29):
is.
Don't compromise the temple ofthe Holy Ghost by your lifestyle
.
That's basically what he'ssaying.
So thank God, everybody saythank God for the Holy Ghost Now
.
He doesn't leave us just whenwe mess up.
He's not here today and gonetomorrow.

(05:51):
He doesn't, I'll tell you.
He has love and mercy.
He bears long with you.
But on the other hand, we needthe Word to kind of keep us in a
guidance, and every believerhas the Holy Ghost living on the
inside.
Baby Christians have them, everybody has them.
All of our bodies are thetemples of the Holy Ghost living
on the inside.
Baby Christians have them, everybody has them.
All of our bodies are thetemples of the Holy Ghost.
Collectively, we're the templeof the Holy Ghost, which is why

(06:12):
people, when they come intochurch building, feel the
presence of God.
God doesn't live in thebuilding, he lives in the people
that come in the building.
And then I'm convinced thatthere are angels that are here
all the time and they do carrythe presence of God.
So that's why, when people comein here, even when there's
nobody here, I mean, you know, Ifeel something when I walk in

(06:33):
here and there's nobody here,why?
Well, I just know angels arehere.
God himself doesn't live here.
He lives here.
But then there's a corporatelike we had tonight, I.
But then there's a corporatelike we had tonight.
I mean, what we had tonight wasthat glory, that corporate
presence.
I mean we start magnifying thename of Jesus First, john 4, 4,
greater is he that's in us thanhe that's in the world.

(06:54):
We need to keep that in mind.
We need to cooperate with him.
He's a genius.
We need to learn to lean on him.
We need to cooperate with Him.
In John 14, 16, jesus calls Himthe Comforter.
King James, the Greek word isparakletos and they translate it
comforter, which I think is notas accurate as it could be.

(07:16):
It's really helper is the mostsimple definition of parakletos,
but I like to amplify it.
It it breaks it down like thiscounselor, helper, intercessor,
advocate, strengthener, standby, one called alongside to help.
Just think about standby.
Does anybody ever have to workstandby?

(07:38):
Yeah, I mean the plant callsyou and you might be off, but
now they're calling you in.
They got a shutdown and orthey've got an emergency, or
they've got a leak, or they'vegot some work for a chemical
plant or a refinery or somethinglike that.
I mean you, you have your dayoff, but sometimes you get a
call in the middle of the night.
You got to show up, you're onstandby.

(08:00):
Well, the Holy Ghost is onstandby, excuse me.
So he's in us for our benefit.
So we should learn to cooperatewith Him.
And so tonight I just have avery simple message.
But you know, we need to hearthese things over and over
Because we forget sometimes orwe let some things slip.

(08:23):
Four things tonight, fouraspects in which we should
cooperate with the Holy Ghost.
The first one is be controlledby the Holy Ghost.
Be controlled by the Holy Ghost.
Why?
Because we're not our own.
We're not our own.
So he's made that point.
No, don't flee fornication, flee all the.
Be controlled by the Holy.

(08:44):
If you're controlled by the HolyGhost, then you're going to
resist the temptation to sin.
You're going to resist itbecause you're thinking about
the fact that you don't want toviolate the temple of the Holy
Ghost.
You're the temple, one of theeasiest ways to conquer
besetting sin.
Sometimes we're tempted.
I mean, you know we all comeout of.
We're all at some point in timelost.

(09:08):
The little babies you know, likeHannah.
Hannah will probably get savedat a young age.
She'll never know what it'slike to be a lost person because
she'll be sitting here in thischurch and then she'll just get
saved.
I mean, that's kind of the waymy kids were.
They didn't have a chance tolive ungodly lives.
They got saved at very youngages.
But for most of us, like me, Istill remember what it's like to

(09:30):
be lost.
And you know, when I got saved,my flesh still wanted to do all
the things that I did when Iwas lost.
But I knew better.
I knew that I shouldn't do that.
So that was the lordship ofJesus through the presence of
the Holy Ghost on the inside.
I mean, I got a hold of theseverses when I first got saved

(09:50):
and I allowed the Holy Ghost tocontrol my appetites.
It took a while for me tounderstand certain things.
For instance, I kept drinkingbeer.
I didn't go to the bar andempty all the booze out right
away, but about six months afterI got saved, I mean, I

(10:11):
destroyed my beer-makingapparatus.
I didn't even give it away.
Why would I give it away andgive it to somebody else that
might turn into an alcoholic?
It wasn't a whole.
It was a five-gallon Ozarkawater bottle and a little valve.
It wasn't a bunch of stuffBottle washers and empty

(10:33):
long-neck beer bottles.
I just threw it all in thetrash.
And then I went to the bar andI dumped all the booze out, all
the scotch, all the tequila, allthe bourbon, all the rum, all
the you know everything.
I don't know who drank all that.
I wasn't much of a drinker ofalcohol.
I was a beer drinker, but I hadall of it.
It was all there and I dumpedit all out because I made a

(10:53):
break.
You know, holy Ghost said youdon't need to be drinking now.
It's ruining your witness.
What if you're trying to tellsomebody about Jesus and they
smell alcohol on your breath?
You just ruin your witness.
That's all he had to tell me.
Are you with me now?
Be controlled by the Holy Ghost.
We're not our own.
We've been bought with a price.

(11:14):
We ought to glorify God in ourbody In 1 Corinthians 1, 7,.
Despite the fact they werecarnal, you know what Paul told
them?
He said you've come behind andno good gift.
They had the gifts of the HolyGhost and yet, see, gifts are
given, but fruit is what Grown.

(11:35):
So their fruit wasn't growingas fast as the gift.
The gift was given to them andthey had gifts.
They had speaking in tongues, they had prophecy.
They had all in tongues.
They had prophecy.
They had all these gifts, butyet they were carnal.
And so that's the thing youcome behind.
No good gift.
But hey, let's get caught up.

(11:55):
Let's stop being body rules.
Stop all these cliques andfactions and sin in the camp.
Romans 6, 13,.
We ought to yield our members asweapons of righteousness.
What's a member?
It's body part, your hands andfeet, your eyes, your mouth.
You yield them as weapons ofrighteousness unto God.

(12:18):
Otherwise, you yield them tothe devil for sin unto sin.
So, yeah, I mean, you know yourfeet can take you places you
shouldn't go, your hands can dothings you shouldn't do, your
eyes can look at things youshouldn't look at.
Are you with me now?
So what do you do?
You yield your entire bodybecause it's not yours, it's his
, and you yield it to God untorighteousness.

(12:39):
I like to confess that almostevery day I might miss a day or
two, but every now and then Imean I'll just go down the list,
lord I just yield my body asweapons of righteousness.
I put off the old man, which iscorrupt, according to his
deceitful lusts, and I put onthe new man which, after God, is
created in righteousness andtrue holiness.
I put on the Lord, jesus Christ, and I make no provision for my

(12:59):
flesh.
I mean I just set the tone.
I speak it out out loud.
Is it a prayer?
Well, it's based on the Word.
I mean it's a confession.
If you've got a good, strongconfession, you believe in your
heart what God has provided, Imean it'll keep you clean, it'll
keep you from falling intothings that you shouldn't be
involved with.

(13:22):
A lot of this is growing up,because you know Ephesians
chapter 4, says we henceforth beno more children tossed to and
fro by every wind of doctrineslide of men with cunning
craftiness, lie and wait todeceive, but speaking the truth
in love may grow up into him.
In all things we need to growup, and you may have been in
church for 40 years, but youstill got areas that you need to
grow in.
Grow just means change Grow.

(13:44):
You see a gap when you readyour Bible.
That's why we ought to have aBible life, a word life, and we
ought to have a prayer life.
If you've got both of thoseworking, then you will identify
things in your life that aregaps.
What's a gap?
Well, it's where you are andwhere you should be, you know,
and you got to close that andhe's not going to do it.

(14:07):
You have to do it, you have toidentify it.
And then you got to close it.
What if you don't identify it?
Well, that means you're notpraying and reading your Bible
like you should, because if youwere, he would help you.
Your Holy Spirit will help you.
He'll never condemn you.
I said he'll never condemn you.
I've done, you know, some flyingin small planes and my partner

(14:28):
had a Cessna and I flew a lotwith him and I flew in the right
seat.
He was the pilot, but I mean, Iwatched him real close to watch
him how he flew, and he had aninstrument rating.
In other words, he could go upwhen it socked in, he could
legally go up.
Most pilots never get that.
They just it takes a lot morehours and a lot more money to

(14:51):
get your instrument rating, butit's worth it, because you just
never know when you're flying.
It can start off visual flightrules, but then, when you get
halfway to your destination, suddenly it's all socked in and
now you're illegal, youshouldn't be flying.
So what do you do?
Well, you better land.

(15:12):
One time we had to land.
And where was it?
Well, industry.
We had to find a strip out herewest of town, somewhere around
out there near industry, becausethere was an outer marker out
there that we hit and all of asudden the weather changed.
It wasn't supposed to do that, and this is before my partner

(15:33):
got instrument rated.
Now it's one thing to his credit, he was a very detailed guy and
he was straight.
He would not take chances.
And he said, man, I got to landthis plane.
I really hate it.
And we had to land the plane, you know, and we had to call his
wife and she had to get in hercar and come get us.
And we came home and then, youknow, a few days later, when the

(15:54):
weather was good, he had todrive all the way back out there
and get in the plane and pay abig fee for parking the plane,
because that wasn't where henormally didn't have a
relationship there, and all ofthe are you with me now?
So I mean closing gaps.
Closing gaps, if you.
You know, when we, when we tookoff, he always had a heading.

(16:16):
He always knew exactly what theheading was going to be.
Now, if you just move a littlebit one way or the other.
When you go 200 miles, you canmiss your destination and you
can't even see it.
It's so far off to the side.
You generally flew west, butnot accurately enough, to land

(16:38):
at a ranch on the outside ofRock Springs, texas.
I mean, you know it's notexactly a teaming the ranch
where we had a deer lease, wehad a landing strip that we made
and he had it all vectored out.
He knew exactly what theheading would be, coming from
Hook's Airport out here to go tothat deer lease.

(16:58):
But you know, if he wasn'treally watching and really
taking care of his vectoring andall of that, we might wind up
in Brady.
We might wind up 100 miles tothe north or we might wind up in
Carrizo Springs.
I mean we're not going to hitBrock Springs, are y'all with me
now?
Destination's off.

(17:21):
Be controlled by the Holy Ghost.
Let's grow up, let's close thegaps, let's yield ourselves to
the Holy Ghost and he will helpus All.
Right.
Second thing be led by the HolyGhost.
Be controlled by the Holy Ghost.
Be led by the Holy Ghost.
Romans 8, 14,.
As many as are the sons of God.

(17:42):
They are as many as are led bythe Spirit of God, they are the
sons of God.
And, of course, the reverse istrue as many as are sons of God,
they are.
As many as are led by theSpirit of God, they are the sons
of God.
And of course, the reverse istrue as many as are sons of God,
they are led by the Spirit ofGod.
So it's not a question ofwhether we're led, it's a
question of whether we follow.
You're always getting leading, but you don't always identify
what the leading is.
We talked about adjusting yourreceiver this morning.

(18:02):
You know, sometimes you have toadjust your receiver so you can
identify the leading, so thatyou can identify what he's, how
he's guiding you.
Again, it takes a prayer lifeand a word life working together
.
Everybody say a prayer life anda word life.
So if he leads, then we have tofollow.
And the main way that he leadsis by the witness of the spirit.

(18:27):
That's how you know you'resaved.
The spirit of God witnessesthat we are the children of God.
When you got saved, it was thewitness that let you know you
were saved.
It wasn't that you saw Jesus.
He didn't appear to you, hedidn't speak to you.
He didn't.
I mean, typically that's notwhat happens.
For some people, like Paul, hesaw Jesus, but that's one out of

(18:50):
a million.
I mean, that doesn't happen tomost people.
When people get saved, typicallythey know they're saved by the
witness of the spirit and theyknow inside of them that they
are saved because they hear Abba, father, daddy.
All of a sudden, god is notjust God anymore, he's your
daddy, and you have that inwardassurance.
It's a supernatural thing.

(19:11):
Well, it makes sense then.
If God communicated with youthat you were saved by the
witness, then that's how he'sgoing to lead you.
Most of your life is by thewitness of the Spirit, and so
people that wait around for whatI call spectacular guidance and
it's valid, for some peoplehave dreams, some people have

(19:31):
visitations.
I've had my share.
Some people have, you know, hear the voice of the Lord.
I've heard his voice.
But if I waited for thosethings, for guidance, I would
have missed out on all kinds ofthings.
Really, it's by the witness ofthe Spirit.
It was the hardest thing for meas a man to learn how to yield

(19:53):
to, because most men want toreason everything out, they want
to think it all out.
It's got to make sense up here.
You know, that's just how we'rewired.
Women are more susceptible tolistening to the witness because
of women's intuition.
I mean women.
If you ask them how I askedthat one time, I said okay, you

(20:14):
made this decision, I agree withyou, but how did you arrive at
that decision?
And she starts telling me thisstory and it goes way around the
, you know, all the way at theGulf of America, all the way up,
you know, goes way out, and shecircles back around and I'm
thinking that made no sense tome at all.
It defies logic.

(20:35):
See, logic is what we're, we'rejust.
You know, men want logic.
Well, god's not always logical.
The witness so, but there'sother.
You know the voice of thewitness, so, but there's other.
You know, the voice of your ownspirit, the still small voice,
the voice of the Holy Ghost.
Sometimes he can speak, but thebook of 1 Corinthians 14 says

(20:55):
beware of voices.
There's no voice that everspeaks.
There are none of them withoutsignificance.
Some voices are not the voiceof the Lord, they're not the
voice of the Master.
If you follow voices, you verylikely are going to get deceived
at some point in time, becauseyou, you know, the devil comes
as an angel of light.
He knows how to mimic, he knowshow to counterfeit Leader

(21:19):
Guidance.
I should say Are you gettinganything out of this?
So we have to be.
You know, learn to be led by theHoly Ghost, the witness of the
Spirit, which is just followingpeace in your heart.
When you've got a decision andyou've got peace maybe not peace
here, peace here you learn tolean on the inside.
You learn to lean on thatsignal.

(21:42):
You know, sometimes it's justlike like a, it's like a buzzer.
You know it kind of buzzes andkind of vibrates.
Well then you know that's not, that's not the right thing to do
.
You just you better slow down, that's, you know.
You don't hear that, but I meanit's almost.

(22:02):
You know, I remember sitting atthe table with these business,
these brokers, and they wereselling me some lots to build
houses on and everything in mesaid don't sign it, don't sign
it, don't sign it.
I signed it, I overrode thewitness of the Spirit and I
almost was physically ill when Ifinished.
I mean I almost I left thereand I just had such regret.

(22:22):
I mean I almost I left thereand I just had such regret.
See, at the time I just didn'tunderstand that that was the
Holy Ghost trying to keep mefrom making a big mistake in my
business.
I mean, he will lead you in allyour affairs, he'll lead you in
your investments, he'll leadyou in where you live, he'll
lead you when you go and move.

(22:43):
He'll lead you in every area ofyour life with the witness of
the Spirit.
So don't be stumbling over thesupernatural looking for the
spectacular, because the witnessis supernatural.
Everybody say thank God for thewitness of the Holy Ghost.
Everybody say I have thewitness in myself.
See, you're quoting the Wordright now.
You ought to say that all thetime.
When you're kind of startingout in this, you're starting to

(23:05):
begin, you know, explore, beingled by the Spirit.
You have to just go ahead andhave a confession.
Well, lord, I thank you, I'msaved and I have the witness
abides in me, I'm a believer andI have the witness that abides
in me.
See, you've got supernaturalequipment.
You have it.
You have it, you already haveit.
You already have it.
All right.
So be controlled by the HolyGhost, be led by the Holy Ghost,

(23:27):
which means follow the HolyGhost, because if he's leading,
you need to follow.
Remember that old bumpersticker lead, follow or get out
of the way.
I mean, let's follow the HolyGhost when he's leading, let's
follow Him.
And you know, if he's notsaying anything to you, don't be
fussing trying to hear Him.
I've had people.
Well, you know, if he's notsaying anything to you, don't be

(23:48):
fussing trying to hear him.
I've had people.
Well, you were preaching aboutthat and I've really been
praying Lord, speak to me, oh,speak.
Well, don't do that.
Just let him take care of you.
Just walk by faith, the wayyou're going right now.
Walk by faith until you loseyour peace.
If you lose your peace, thenyou can start asking.
Well, you were talking thismorning about moving to Corpus
and I don't know.
I'm wondering whether I shouldbe moving.
Well, no, don't do that.

(24:09):
You're cluttering up yourprayer life.
Depend on Him to lead you, don't you lead you?
Amen.
I don't know who this is for.
It's for somebody.
All right, be controlled by theHoly Ghost.
Be led by the Holy Ghost.
Number three be filled with theHoly Ghost.
Ephesians 5, 18,.
Be not drunk with wine wherethere's an excess, but be filled

(24:32):
, or be being filled with theHoly Ghost.
Be continually and habituallyfilled with the Holy Ghost the
linguistic Greek key to theGreek New Testament Be
continually and habitually.
And that tells me, it takescommitment and it takes time, it

(24:53):
takes attention, and so lotsand lots of other things can
invade your attention andpriority and get in the way of
being full.
You know, I like what JohnWesley said.
John Wesley who headed up theMethodist revival.

(25:15):
He was a mighty man of God.
He said you know, I like topray two hours every day.
I start my day off praying twohours.
And he said if I've got a daythat's particularly challenging
and I know that there's going tobe a whole lot going on, a lot
of challenges then I pray threehours.
So he doesn't give in to theday.

(25:37):
He makes the day bow its kneeto his prayer life.
See, he knows he needs extraprayer, he knows he's going to
have to have help from thehelper, and so he prays longer
instead of cutting it short.
Well, I've got so much to do, Ibetter just pray for 15 minutes
.
Well, you know you're cuttingthe wrong thing.

(25:57):
Let's be continually andhabitually filled with the Holy
Ghost.
And it tells you there, inverses 18 through 20, how to do
that, speaking to yourself inpsalms and hymns, spiritual
songs, singing and making melodyin your heart to the Lord.
So speaking, giving thanks inall things.
Be full of praise, thanks, thanksgiving, be grateful.

(26:18):
It's easy to get out of sorts.
It's easy to get you know, fussy and feel like you're
getting the shorts into thestick and all that.
No, let's just be thankful.
Let's always be thankful to God.
He's never treats you that way.
People might treat you that way, but it shouldn't mean anything
.
I mean it shouldn't interferewith our thanking God for what

(26:41):
he does for us and thensubmitting yourselves one to
another in the fear of God.
Those three things are part ofbeing full of the Holy Ghost.
When you have to have your wayand you have to have your say
and you feel like that you'renot respected, then you know the
Holy Ghost is not reallyfilling you and really the devil

(27:01):
is working on you.
That's just one of the when youknow that's how you're thinking
.
Don't let your mouth speak it.
You're thinking that Rise upand rebuke that thought.
Quit claiming that thought.
It's not coming from inside ofyou, it's coming from the
outside.
It's trying to get you off base.
It's trying to get you to makethe wrong decisions based on

(27:21):
wrong, on the flesh Really, that's the flesh.
No, let's stay full of the HolyGhost.
Everybody say I'm filled withthe Holy Ghost, praise God.
I mean, you know, I just I liketo speak the word all day long
and then I just lapse over intongues.
When I'm praying and reading myBible, I just do both of them

(27:42):
at the same time.
I have my Bible open in my lapand I'm praying and I'm reading,
and I'm praying and I'mthanking and I'm oh, here's a
challenge.
Oh, I just pray over this gap.
Right here there's a gap.
I'm going to shut that gapright here, right now.
Right here there's a gap.
I'm going to shut that gapright here, right now.
I'm still working on my trafficvoice.
I have, I have a hard time intraffic.
I just confess my sin, confessyour faults one to another that

(28:05):
you may be healed.
So I've confessed that I amstruggling sometimes with people
that are right in front of me,that are texting instead of
driving, and I'm sitting at thelight and three lights have
changed and have only movedabout 15 feet, and then, when
the light changes, one goes outand another hundred yards,

(28:26):
another one goes out and anotherhundred yards and then I'm
sitting there again.
So I do talk to people and I,you know, I say, lord, I'm sorry
I shouldn't have said that tothem.
They didn't hear me anyway, butyou did, and I'm sorry that I
had to expose you to my anger.
Anyway, praise God, it's hardto drive in Houston anymore, all

(28:47):
right, but I believe I'vereceived my forgiveness and my
cleansing.
I'm going to do better, allright.
The last one is found in 2Corinthians 13, 14.
So be controlled by the HolyGhost, be led by the Holy Ghost,

(29:07):
be filled with the Holy Ghost.
The last one says in chapter 13, verse 14, the grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the love ofGod and the communion of the
Holy Ghost be with you all.
Amen.
The communion of the Holy Ghost, the koinonia of the Holy Ghost
, should be ours.
We should have fellowship.
Koinonia is fellowship,partnership.

(29:31):
We should be close.
We should have close fellowshipwith the Holy Ghost.
You know your prayer life isfellowshipping with the Father
and we fellowship with Jesus.
But David Yonggi Cho, years ago,40-some-odd years ago, I heard
him speak at the WorldConvention for Gospel
Businessmen, anaheim, california, and he got up and he preached

(29:54):
on that.
We all should worship with theHoly Ghost.
He had that real heavy Chineseaccent.
You know, back then he had achurch of 18,000 in Korea and
just massive church, and it wasbuilt on prayer.
He had a prayer tower.
I mean people were there 24-7praying.

(30:15):
His mother was head of theprayer group.
They were praying people andyou know, in China, or you know
Korea rather, I mean they justhad to have house churches
because they just couldn't puteverybody in the building I mean
.
So they had house churches andhe was quite a man of God.

(30:38):
I think he was assembly of Godreally, but uh, he was, he was
uh taught me about the fact thatthe Holy spirit is worthy of
our fellowship.
We should talk to him, weshould thank him, we should
praise him.
We ought to thank God for him,we ought to thank Jesus for him.
We ought to thank Jesus thatJesus, you know, made it

(30:58):
possible for us to have anotherparaclete and we ought to be
grateful for the Holy GhostFellowship.
In the Message Bible it saysthe intimate friendship with the
Holy Ghost, intimate friendship, friends.
Years ago I hadn't been savedbut a few months and I was

(31:21):
determined that my life wasgoing to change and I, you know,
I heard about praying intongues every day and praying
and reading your Bible.
And I was man, I was doing itand I had a room in the house
that I would go into everymorning early and I had a green
velvet chair in there, theottoman, and I'd sit in that

(31:41):
chair and I'd pray and I'd readmy Bible and I'd go over to the
desk and write a few notes downand you know, just studying my
Bible, coming up with questionsand stuff, and I took notes and
I spent about two, two and ahalf hours every morning and I
wasn't a breakfast eater, so thekids in the meantime would go

(32:01):
in the kitchen glad to be fixingtheir breakfast and get them
off to school.
Sometimes I'd come out and bepart of laying hands on them or
send them off to school, but onemorning I would just had gotten
through praising him and and Ileaned my head back, you know,
on the head of the chair, andjust closed my eyes and so

(32:23):
sweetly I heard the voice of theHoly ghost and said he said
this to me.
He said you are my intimatecompanion.
You are my intimate companion.
I just man, my, I started.
Water just shoot out of my eyes.
I mean I didn't cry, just waterjust started running down my
face, just tears.
It was so tender, it was soprecious, the love of the Holy

(32:45):
Ghost he expressed to me and forme I'm your intimate companion.
I mean, what those words andall these years, 40, some odd
years later, I've neverforgotten them and I talk about
them.
It's, it's a testimony.
I mean that's, that's who youare to him.
He's your intimate companion.
Is he yours?
I mean it's.

(33:05):
You know, if he's an intimatefriend with you, then we ought
to be intimate friends with him.
We ought to count ourselves asintimate friends with the third
person of the Godhead.
I mean he's a genius, he's allpowerful, he can do anything but
fail and anything but lie.
Man to have a friend like that, and we do.

(33:28):
Come on, lift your hands rightnow.
Thank God for the intimatefriendship of the Holy Ghost.
Let's take time every day tothink, and even during the day.
I mean I just I talked to himall day long, off and on.
You know, I talked to thefather, I talked to Jesus, but I

(33:49):
talked to the Holy Ghost.
That's not wrong to do that.
He lives in us.
So we ought to be in constantkoinonia with him.
That means partnership.
Years later, it was like Godmeans partnership.
Years later, it was like Godinvited me to be uh, sit around
the table of God and sonsunlimited.
Be part of the decision makers.
I saw myself in this, in thisconference room, at this big
table and nameless faces aroundit, and I'm one of them, and God

(34:12):
is has made me a full partnerin God and Sons Unlimited.
Praise God.
That's what he wants to do.
He wants to be your intimatecompanion and friend.
Praise God.
So what a joy life is is we'refaithful to cooperate with the
Holy Ghost.
Come on, let's lift our handsright now, father.
We thank you that as the daysmove forward, especially in this

(34:36):
year of milestones, lord, letit be said that our fellowship
is getting greater.
Our cooperation is gettinggreater with the Holy Ghost, the
greater one lives in us.
We approach life always withthe idea that he is on our side.
He's our ally.
In Jesus' name, amen.
Did anybody get anything out ofthis tonight?

(34:56):
I know it's basic stuff, butyou know we need the basics.
Praise the Lord.
