This eye-opening teaching explores the often-overlooked present-day ministry of Jesus Christ and our role within it. Drawing from rich passages in Hebrews, we discover that Jesus serves as our High Priest—authorized to implement and carry into effect our confession of faith. As Mediator, He stands between God and humanity, making salvation accessible even to those who don't yet know Him. His role as Intercessor means He's constantly praying for believers at the Father's right hand, while as our Advocate, He represents us before God when we stumble.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's lift our Bibles up, wave them around, make
Jesus glad and the devil mad.
Say this together, say HeavenlyFather, I'm so glad to be here
in your presence.
I can never take for grantedthe anointing of God, the
presence of God.
I walk in it daily, I walk init constantly because of the

(00:21):
blood, because you've gonebehind the veil and you paid the
price, and it's up there inheaven Testifying on my behalf,
and that's why I can come boldlyto the throne of grace To
obtain whatever it is that Ineed In Jesus' name.
Amen, you can be seated, andjunior high can be seated, and

(00:45):
Junior High can be dismissed.
They're going to go out and betaught on their level.
Hebrews 8, please.
And we're going to continue ona teaching that this is our
third week on the present dayministry of Jesus.
Hebrews 8 is our foundation.

(01:07):
Scripture, verse 1.
And of course you know that thebook of Hebrews, the whole
theme of that book, is thatJesus is better, our covenant is
better, the covenant that hecut is better, everything is
better, so Jesus is better.
Chapter 8, verse 1,.
Now, of the things which wehave spoken, this is the sum.

(01:28):
We have such a high priest whohas sat on the right hand of the
throne of the majesty in theheavens, a minister of the
sanctuary or holy things, and ofthe true tabernacle which the
Lord pitched, and not man, forevery high priest is ordained to
offer gifts and sacrifices, wherefore it is of necessity

(01:49):
that this man, jesus, havesomewhat also to offer.
Verse 6,.
But now hath he obtained a moreexcellent ministry.
By how much also he is themediator of a better covenant,
established or founded uponbetter promises, and so it's

(02:11):
vital.
You know we're teaching on thepresent day ministry of Jesus.
We need to have anunderstanding.
You know you can study theGospels and find out Jesus' life
while he was on earth, beforethe cross, the man of sorrows.
Then you can talk about Jesuson the cross.
The Catholic church is big onJesus on the cross.
They have crucifixes with Jesuson the cross, easter time, all

(02:33):
the Good Friday services as Iwas an altar boy, raised
Catholic, and it was a big, bigdeal.
It was real focused on thesuffering, the man of sin,
that's when he took his sin onhim.
He's not there anymore.
He's off the cross, he rosefrom the dead and now he's
triumphant.

(02:54):
And when he ascended intoheaven, and you know, in Acts,
chapter 1, we preach theseverses on Easter.
You know, the disciples werelooking up to heaven seeing he
was received.
He was taken up into theheavens and received in a cloud,
and that's the mighty cloud ofwitnesses that he had saved.
And they received Him intoheaven and the angel appeared to

(03:18):
them and said why are youstanding here looking up to
heaven?
You know, the same Jesus isgoing to come, in like manner as
you've seen Him to go into hell.
He's coming back, in otherwords, get to work.
And so we celebrate the factthat he's not on a lazy boy,
he's not up there on a reclinertwiddling His thumbs.
He's got a ministry and we'vetalked about this five-fold

(03:41):
ministry that he has as a highpriest we talked about it in
week one one that's authorizedto administer, execute,
implement and carry into effectour profession or our confession
of faith.
I mean, we do the believing andspeaking and he does the
performing.

(04:01):
It's good to understand that'spart of his high priest ministry
.
And then, but of course youknow he told us we were kings
and priests unto God inRevelation.
So we have a kind of similarministry to his in that down
here we're priests, we're notthe high priest, but we're

(04:23):
priests.
We're priests.
We're not the high priest, butwe're priests, and we can enter
into the ministry of that samething, of administering and
executing and implementing andcarrying into effect what he
wants.
Done down here we pray to the,our Father.
As it is in heaven, so shall itbe also on earth.
Well, thy will be done.
How's it going to be done?
Is he going to come back down?

(04:43):
No, we're here, we've got apart to play.
And then we talked about Jesus, the mediator.
And the mediator is one whointervenes between two, either
in order to make peace andfriendship or for ratifying a
covenant.
And so the mediator, if we canthink about it this way, a
mediator is very similar toadvocate, very similar to

(05:05):
intercessor, and really all fiveof these ministries kind of
flow together.
They kind of overlap.
But the mediator I like tothink about the mediator this
way the mediator between God andman is between the unsaved and
God, because Jesus, while wewere yet sinners, christ died
for us, for every man, woman andchild on the earth that is lost

(05:29):
.
Christ died for them and he'stheir mediator.
When you study your Bible, yourealize that God has been
reconciled to the world.
See, before Jesus, god was notreconciled to the world.
There was not one son on theearth.
The Jews were not his sons.
The Jews were his servants.

(05:50):
They had a covenant with Godand they could only approach God
over the side of a bleedingsacrifice.
Nobody else on earth couldapproach God.
They had no approach.
But now, since Jesus died anddid away with sin, now even the
lost have a mediator.
How do you figure that anybodycan get saved?

(06:12):
Well, they've got a mediator upthere Reminding the Father.
Well, this is my blood that wasshed for that Muslim Shed.
For that Hindu Shed.
For that heathen Shed.
For that gang member Shed forthat heathen Shed.
For that gang member Shed forthat trans.
Talk about a lie.
There's no such thing astransgender.

(06:32):
That's a lie.
There's no transgender, it'sjust male or female.
There's no trans.
See, it's a whole lie.
It's time the church get up andsay that.
I mean, it's not going to makepeople happy to hear it, but
they need to hear the truth.
Alright, so, and then todaywe're going to get into again.

(06:53):
Why do we preach this?
Well, because if we don'tpreach this, we don't have
access to all the benefits.
If you don't understand whatJesus is doing for you and in in
turn, you're part of hisministry.
That's the thing I want toreally stress today that that
ministry that Jesus is carryingout up there, he expects us to
carry that out down here and getwith the program.

(07:17):
It's not all about just me.
Yes, it's important for me tohave these things, but it's also
important for others that don'tknow what we know.
You know, that's the reason wekeep going all over.
That's why we're having capitalworship in all the capitals.
We've got six states so far andwe're going to expand and we're

(07:38):
going to go to all 50 states.
In Jesus' name, it's going tohappen.
What are we doing?
Well, we're doing part of whatJesus is doing up there.
So if we talked about Abraham asa mediator, he intervened
between God and Sodom andGomorrah and you could see

(08:00):
intercession in that too.
You could see but mediator, especially because they had no
approach to god.
And he, so he's in, he's sayingokay, well, there could be
righteous people there.
Don't, don't kill the righteouswith the wicked, and that's
true.
Now, I mean there's judgmentgoing on and people as a result
of these judgments.
Well, you mean god is mad.

(08:20):
No sin requires an answer.
It fills a cup and it's justbuilt into His Word.
It's not that God is activelykilling anybody, it's just that
sin causes disorder and disorderis dangerous.
And so, people, we have theseterrible crimes.
I mean it's amazing whatunsaved people can do anything.

(08:46):
They can do the most heinouscrimes and we wonder how could
that be?
Well, they're lost.
They don't have what we have.
We have a conscience.
We might do bad things, but youknow our conscience will fight
us every step of the way.
Our conscience is going to tryto get control of the situation.

(09:06):
All right, so Christ themediator he loves the sinner,
hates the sin.
He's made a way for the sinnerto approach God.
Now, today we're going to talkabout Christ the intercessor and
advocate.
Let's look at Hebrews 7.25.
It's right there, on the samepage as our scripture, that we

(09:26):
read for the foundation, wherefore he is able, talking
about Jesus, able also to savethem to the uttermost, those
that come unto God by Him,seeing he ever liveth to make
intercession for them.
He ever liveth to makeintercession for them.

(09:50):
So Jesus is praying at theright hand of the Father to save
those who come to God by him.
See, he's the only way he saidI'm the way, the truth and the
life.
No man cometh to the Father butby me.
There's no access to Godthrough Islam.
There's no access to Godthrough Jehovah Witnesses.

(10:11):
There's no access to Godthrough Mormonism.
Mormonism is a cult.
Mormonism, the Church of JesusChrist of Latter-day Saints,
their Jesus is not the Jesus.
Their Jesus is an angel.
You ever see the big old mosqueover here on Champion Forest
Drive.
What has it got at the top?
It's got an angel.
It's not Jesus up there.

(10:31):
There's not a cross up there.
So it's a cult and they'rewell-meaning.
I've known a lot of Mormons inmy life who did business with
Mormon businessmen.
They're straight, they don'tdrink caffeine.
They don't drink caffeine, theydon't drink alcohol.
I mean, you know the outsidelooks like righteous, but it's a

(10:56):
cult.
There's no salvation in it.
They sound like it.
In fact, really, one of theways they deceive Christians
that don't know the Bible isthey look a lot like Christians
and they have an appeal and uh,and they go out evangelizing in
their way and it's you know.
They ever have a guy in a whiteshirt and black pants.
Come to your door.

(11:17):
I mean they're out there, they,they.
They have to earn their way toheaven.
That's what they're doing.
They're earning their their wayto heaven by doing missionary
work, and so we ought to do itbecause we love God.
We ought to evangelize becausewe love God, not because we're
trying to earn our salvation.
Amen, all right, so he is anintercessor.

(11:39):
He is able to save them to theuttermost, them that come unto
God by Him.
That word save is a Greek word, sozo.
It doesn't just mean save fromhell, it means everything.
It means provision, protection,favor, promotion.
Everything you need down hereis accessible and he is praying

(12:02):
for you at the right hand.
You don't ever have to feellonely, you don't ever have to
feel.
You will feel it, but you don'thave to obey that, you don't
have to give into that.
Why?
Because he's praying for you.
Thank God, he's praying for us.
But then again, see, we canenter into that ministry of
intercession down here forothers.
When you grow up enough in God,god will use you to pray for

(12:26):
other people.
You cease being so carefulabout your own life and your own
needs and you start looking.
When you start to grow in God,you start to grow in the things
that I'm preaching, you'll getmature enough to where you know
that person needs help.
I'm going to pray for them.
I'm going to intercede for them.
I'm going to intercede for them.
I'm going to lift up their arms, as it were.

(12:47):
I'm going to pray for them.
So valuable to be able to prayin the Holy Ghost.
Pray in your prayer languagefor other people.
You don't know exactly how topray for some folks, so what do
you do?
Pray in the Holy Ghost for them.
And so you're entering intothat intercession.
Let's look at Romans 8, presentday ministry of Jesus.
And we all have a part of it.
That's what I wanted to reallyemphasize today.

(13:08):
It's not Jesus working byHimself.
We're one with Him.
He's the head, we're the body.
The head's not doing one thing, the body's something else.
I mean, when you go to HEB, youknow and you think about going
to HEB.
Does your head go and your bodystay at home?
No, you're doing the same thing, right?

(13:29):
We're in different places, allright.
834, romans who is he thatcondemneth?
It is Christ that died, yea, rather than is risen again.
See, let's get Christ off thecross and get him where he is
right now.
Catholics they elected a pope.

(13:51):
I don't think they did anybetter than the last time.
But anyway, whatever he's foropen borders, he's got a couple
of things that recommend him,but a lot of it is just
globalism.
You better watch out.
Better watch out Catholics.
If I were you, I'd bail out ofthat mess.
I heard Sean Hannity the otherday on the radio and I know he

(14:12):
was raised Catholic and he justbasically said look, I'm
non-denominational.
Now I finally just realizedthat I just needed to leave the
Catholic Church.
I thank God for my background.
I'm glad too for my background.
I wasn't raised a Muslim, I wasraised a Catholic.
But I caught to the place whereI had to make a departure and I
did because the Holy Ghosturged me to leave.

(14:34):
I wasn't sure to leave.
I thought maybe I was supposedto be a light within the church,
but he let me know no, I'mgoing to use you more in
Catholic lives away from thechurch.
I tell you, god has used mewith Catholics more than any
other denomination.
And I don't sound Catholic, doI, because I ain't one.

(14:57):
But going back to John Paul II,he was still alive.
He was a good man.
He had some good things abouthim.
I don't know all about him, butI do know he loved Jesus.
Lonnie Rex had an audience withhim one time, went up to the
Sistine Chapel and they hadpriests playing the guitar
playing.
This is the day this is playingour songs.

(15:19):
You know he was charismatic butI don't know all of his
doctrine wasn.
He wasn't straight, but he wasa good man.
And then you know he had beenshot and that hurt him his life
and it shortened his life.
He lived into his 80s but hewas a pretty young man, as popes
are, when he took over A manfrom Poland and God spoke to me

(15:44):
one day.
He says this pope is about todie and the next one after him
won't last long and the oneafter him is anti-semitic.
And I'm going what in the worldam I?
Why am I hearing about this?
I mean, I don't even know whatin the world that.
So I started saying it.
How many of you remember mesaying it?

(16:05):
I mean I said it on church onSunday morning.
I said it.
I'm trying to influenceCatholics.
I want Catholics to get out ofthat mess and I mean they know a
little bit, but there's so muchwrong.
There's so much you knowidolatry, praying to Mary and
all of these dead ends.
You need the Word.
It's the Catholic Church thatheld the Word of God captive and

(16:30):
wouldn't let the common personread it In the dark age.
Ever heard of the dark ages?
That's when the Catholic Churchwas in charge.
And so there's a billionCatholics on the earth.
That's why God told me about it.
There's a billion of themProbably more than that now.
That was back then and they'regrowing, and they've had a lot

(16:53):
of trouble with all the you knowthey.
1,200 years they didn't sayanything about priests being
married.
All of a sudden, after 1,200years, they decided that priests
couldn't be married.
Well, that was not God.
That's not in the Bible.
In fact, it's a direct.
That's a direct violation ofwhat the Word says.
Tells you something.
That's why you've got weirdpriests.

(17:14):
That's why it's a depository ofpedophiles and LGBTQ.
Plus.
They've changed the letters nowso I can't keep up with the
letters.
I don't know what all theletters mean.
They keep coming up withanother group that needs civil
rights, you know.

(17:35):
So anyway, he told me that, andsure enough so.
The next guy, gregory, lastedfor what?
Eight years and he resigned thefirst Pope to resign and retire
while he was alive in 800 years, and this you know.
Francis was elected and he wasa Marxist.
He is for Marxist dictators inArgentina and in Venezuela.

(18:00):
Maduro, he was from Maduro.
He's a globalist Marxist.
See, jesuits have that.
If you ever hear the wordstraight Jesuit here in town,
the Jesuits are pretty Marxist.
They're Marxists.
They're the ones that get onthe side of communist guerrillas
to overthrow dictatorships inSouth America and Central
America, and they're off,they're wacko.

(18:22):
He was wacko and this guy isnot much better.
Augustinian he's St Augustineorder, a friar, a monk, but his,
his politics are notpro-American.
He's American, born in Chicago,but he's not pro-American.
He's not going to be a MAGA,he's going to be a globalist.

(18:44):
Are y you all with me now?
Get your Catholic friends andwitness to them, all right, so
he's able to save to theuttermost them that come unto
God by him.
All right.
And then, 1 John 2, we talkedabout the intercessor.
He's praying.
Jesus is praying, we should bepraying.

(19:05):
1 John 2, verse 1, my littlechildren, these things write I
unto you that you sin, not Infact.
Let's just go back to chapter 1, verse 9.
Just a few verses up there.

(19:27):
If we confess our sins he'stalking to Christians If we
confess our sins.
See, I've seen people do altarcalls for the lost and tell them
come up here and confess yoursins.
Well, they can't do that.
What if they forgot one?
They have so many sins theycan't possibly confess the sins.
That's not how you're saved byconfessing your sins.
That's how you get right withGod.
Once you are saved because youdon't sin that often and you

(19:50):
know it when you do because yourconscience gives you trouble.
I'm going to give you the wordon that.
All right.
So he said, if we confess oursins, he God is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins andcleanse us of all
unrighteousness.
If we say that we have notsinned, we make Him a liar and

(20:10):
His Word is not in us.
See, I mean, if you justifyyourself, oh well, god
understands me, he knows how Iam it's not really a sin.
Well, now you're lying becauseyou know your conscience already
told you that you sinned.
You missed the mark.
Why don't you just admit thatyou're wrong?
Why don't you admit?
And that's what it means.
Confess means admit that you'rewrong, admit that you've sinned

(20:32):
.
I mean, it's not that hard.
Oh God, I missed it.
I've sinned.
Please forgive me.
Thank you, lord.
I believe I've received myforgiveness and cleansing right
now.
And then you forget it.
And then chapter 2, verse 1, mylittle children.
These things write I unto youthat you sin not See, I'm not
encouraging you to sin, but ifany man sin, we have an advocate

(20:56):
with the Father, jesus Christ, the righteous, and he, jesus, is
the propitiation or mercy seat.
He's the mercy seat for oursins, and not for ours only, but
also for the sins of the wholeworld.
So he's our advocate, he's ourattorney, he represents us.

(21:20):
What would you do if you went tocourt?
You'd been arrested for someterrible thing.
I mean, I mean we, we've seenthe weaponization of our
government against Christians.
I mean they, they've arrestedlittle grandmas just because
they're standing outside of anabortion clinic praying.
They're not doing anything, they're not blocking the

(21:41):
entrance, they're not screaming, they're praying and been
arrested.
And they threw, they thrownthem in jail the January 6th.
That was a horrendousmiscarriage of justice.
They, they absolutely targetedthose people and made them, you
know, plea bargain to a lesserdegree and then and held them in

(22:03):
solitary confinement.
I mean it was horrible.
What would happen on January6th?
The people that need to go tojail are Pelosi and all the
people that had that kangaroocourt.
They're the ones that belong inprison.
I'm glad we're pardoning all ofthose people.

(22:25):
So everybody say advocate, see,we have an attorney.
Jesus is our attorney.
I mean, what would it be liketo stand before the judge and
it's just you and the judge andthe prosecuting attorney.
And the prosecuting attorney isreading all of the indictment,
reading all the things thatyou're accused of and you're
really not guilty, but he'saccusing you.
It's sounding pretty bad.

(22:45):
If you didn't have an attorney,I mean you'd be down the tubes,
wouldn't you?
But we've got an attorney rightthere and he's able to point to
the blood even when we areguilty.
Are y'all with me now?
So why does he have to do that?
Well, you know, when we firstget saved, and even later, we do

(23:09):
things and say things thatstrain our fellowship with God.
I mean, you know, I rememberwhat it was like when I first
got saved.
I still drink drinking beer.
I told you she was going to sayamen at all my sins.
She joins in when I starttalking about my sins.

(23:29):
But I hadn't heard yet.
I mean, I didn't see anythingwrong.
I knew it was wrong to getdrunk, you know.
But remember I was drinking mybeer that I had made.
That's 14.2% alcohol.
One of my beers is worth twoand a half of regular beers and

(23:55):
worth five Bud Lights or CoorsLight.
Light is real light.
If Coors is light, mine isheavy.
Of course is light, mine isheavy, heavy, double heavy.
And so you know, you do thingsthat strain your fellowship with
God.
You do it in ignorance.
You need an intercessor, youneed an advocate, and he's going

(24:19):
to cover you until you knowbetter.
And that's why we've got to becareful treating our baby
Christians like they need to begrown up.
You know they need to grow alittle bit.
Give them a little grace.
Okay, don't expect them to.
You know, be so holy that everylittle thing falls off of them
immediately.
It takes time for stuff to comeoff.

(24:42):
Are you with me now?
We live in a world dominated bysatans and demons.
We live in a body of flesh.
The Bible says in your fleshdwelleth.
No good thing.
I mean.
I'm sorry, but Jesus died foryour sins and he recreated your
spirit.
You've got a brand new spirit, made in the image and likeness
of God.
But where does it live?

(25:02):
It lives in a body of fleshthat doesn't want to do right.
It wants to do the same thingsit always did.
My flesh still wanted to drinkthat beer.
My flesh still wanted its way.
I made some changes, oh, noquestion about it.
I made some big changes, butthere were things in my life
that had to.
Finally, I had to grow enoughto where I put those off, and I

(25:28):
did put them off Eventually.
I mean, the Lord just got a holdof me about drinking and says
you don't need to be drinkingany alcohol at all.
You're almost an alcoholic.
Besides that, it spoils yourwitness.
I had gone to lunch with someof my friends, two of which were
alcoholics.
I sat at Strock's Barbecue onLouetta and I had a big old

(25:49):
plate full of barbecue and I wasof the opinion that you
couldn't have barbecue withoutbeer.
I mean you couldn't do it.
I mean there's just no way.
You've got to have that Mexicanfood beer.
You have to have that.
There's no way.
Iced tea is not going to workLong neck beer.
And so I had two or threebeards while I'm talking to them
about Jesus and they're kind oflooking at me like you're nuts.

(26:16):
You look just like you didbefore.
They didn't know, they couldn'ttell any difference.
And after that the Lord justreplayed that scene for me and
says you know you're ruiningyour witness.
You didn't.
You didn't do any good at allat lunch.
They're looking at you likeyou're the same as you always
were.
You need to lay that aside, andI did.
I dumped it all out.
I emptied my bar.
We had a wet bar in the den.

(26:38):
I took all the whiskey and allthe scotch and all the tequila
and the rum and the bourbon andwhatever else I had, creamed
them in.
I don't know what I had.
I had a lot of crazy stuff, dumped it all down the drain,
killed every bug in my plumbing.
We need an intercessor, we needan advocate.

(27:05):
Look at Hebrews, chapter 2.
Are you getting anything out ofthis?
See, this is I'm preaching thisbecause you need to know what
he's doing and it kind of givesyou a hint about what you should
be doing, because we're Hisrepresentatives down here.
Yeah, he's doing it up there, but we're a little closer to the
situation so we can be part ofwhat he's doing, one with Him.

(27:27):
You see Hebrews, chapter 2,verse 17,.
Wherefore, in all things, itbehooved Him, that is, jesus, to
be made like unto His brethren, that he might be a merciful and
faithful high priest in thingspertaining to God, to make

(27:49):
reconciliation for the sins ofthe people.
For in that he himself hathsuffered, being tempted, he is
able also to succor or tocomfort them that are tempted.
He allowed himself to betempted.
He laid aside his deity, helived as a man anointed of God

(28:12):
and he lived subject totemptation.
That means that it was notautomatic that he was sinless.
He had to exercise his ownauthority and control as a human
being not to sin.
He had to choose it.
It didn't come with theterritory, it didn't come.
Oh, he's just Jesus.
He's sinless because he's no.

(28:32):
No, he was a man anointed ofGod and he resisted temptation,
and he did that successfully, togive us an example.
And so he knows how we'retempted because he was tempted.
And then now he can intercedefor us and he can advocate for
us.
Look at Hebrews 9, 24.
See, I told you I'm going tomake the case for you, because

(28:57):
it's all in the Bible and weneed to get the Bible in us, for
Christ has not entered into theholy places made with hands,
which are the figures of thetruth, but into heaven itself
now to appear in the presence ofGod for us.
See, on our behalf, he's thereon our behalf.

(29:17):
See, he's praying for us, he'srepresenting us as our attorney,
he's intercessor, he's advocate, he's high priest, all at the
same time.
Mediator for the.
I like to say that he'smediator for the lost and he's
all those other things for us.
Even the lost have access toGod through Christ, the mediator
.
So then now let's go back to 1John.

(29:41):
What happens when a believersins?
I want to clear up some.
I say this on a regular basis, usually around communion time,
but I've heard so many peopletalk wrong, say wrong things and
have human reasoning andreligion and all that.
About the sin issue, withChristians sinning.

(30:01):
Yes, certainly Christians sin.
It's not automatic that theysin, but they do sin and there's
a remedy.
I mean, that's why Jesus diedon the cross, so we could have a
remedy for that.
1 John 3, verse 19.
And hereby we know that we areof the truth and shall assure

(30:26):
our hearts before Him, orpersuade our hearts before him.
Hearts means what?
Spirit?
When you see the word hearts,it's talking about your spirit.
It's really talking about you.
You are a spirit.
You're not your body, you'renot your mind.
You are a spirit.
That's helped me so much.

(30:46):
It'll help you, and if youdon't keep that in mind, you'll
get a hopelessly undercondemnation.
I see Christians that areunskillful in the word of
righteousness.
They're more conscious of sin.
When they do sin, they're soashamed they run from God, they
close themselves off.
Many times they incorrectlythink they're not saved or they

(31:08):
wouldn't have done such a thing, when the opposite is true,
because if they weren't saved,if they were lost, they wouldn't
have a guilty conscience.
The fact that you're guiltymeans that you're saved.
Hello, don't run from God, runto Him.

(31:31):
Hereby we know that we're of thetruth and shall assure or
persuade our hearts before Him.
For if our heart condemn us,god is greater than our heart
and knoweth all things.
How does he know?
Because Jesus was just like usand he was tempted in all points
, like as we are.
He knows exactly what we'regoing through.
He knows exactly you know, andhe conquered it.
Maybe you didn't conquer it,maybe you gave into the

(31:51):
temptation and sin, but he stillloves you and he's been praying
for you and he's advocating foryou.
Who is he that condemneth, it'syour heart, beloved.
If our heart condemn us not, then when we have confidence
before God.
So then, what is it when you sin?
It's not the Holy Ghost.

(32:12):
Well, I've been convicted.
The Holy Ghost convicted.
I've heard Christians say thisforever and it's wrong.
Oh, the Holy Ghost convicted me.
Oh, I felt such conviction.
Well, no, you didn't.
That's not the Holy Ghostconvicting you of anything.
He's not in you to convict youof sin.
He's in there to help you, he'sthe way out.
He's not the convictor, heconvicts the world of sin.

(32:35):
So that in this congregation, boy, you know, the presence of
God is dripping off the walls.
In here, I mean, in ourFounders Banquet the other night
, it was dripping off the wallsand people couldn't understand
what they were feeling.
Well, it was the anointing.
And in that presence and inthat atmosphere, the Holy Ghost

(32:59):
can make a sinner realize he's asinner.
And then that that's when theycan get saved, when the Holy
Ghost convicts them of their sin.
Now they can get saved, andthen he convicts the world of
righteousness.
When they get right with God,then they, the Holy Ghost, lets
them know Abba, father, it's theHoly Ghost that does that, not

(33:22):
man, it's supernatural.
But for the believer now, whenyou sin, it's your own spirit
that condemns you or yourconscience.
You get a stabbing, you get apang, and you need to listen to
that because that tells you thatyou've done something wrong.

(33:44):
Find out what it is.
If you don't know what it is,you probably know.
But if you don't know, thenstop it now and say, uh-oh,
something's wrong.
What did I do?
Are you with me now?
No, we don't run from God.
We run to Him because he'srepresenting us, he loves us and
he's not the one that condemnsus.
It's our own spirit thatdoesn't agree with the decision

(34:06):
you made to give in to yourflesh.
See, because when your carnalmind that's not renewed to God's
Word and you're not thinkinglike God thinks and who does
when they're first saved?
Nobody does At first you've gotto wait.
It takes a while to reprogramthis up here and it's easy, when
a believer is first saved, tofall back into what they came

(34:29):
out of.
You're not going to getcondemned around here just
because you fell off the wagon.
You're not going to getcondemned around here.
We're not going to condemn you.
We're going to work with youuntil we can get you strong
enough.
What's the answer?
Get your spirit strong enough, get your mind renewed to the
Word of God so that your spiritand mind agree and you can rule
over your flesh.
Now, now, when your mind andyour spirit agree, then you can

(34:51):
rule, you can say no to yourflesh, no flesh.
You're not going to have thatdaiquiri, you're not going to
have it.
Remember the last time you hada daiquiri you got drunk or
whatever.
You're not going to smoke thatweed.
You don't need weed, you needthe Holy Ghost.
Be not drunk with wine, whereis an excess, but be being

(35:14):
filled with the Holy Ghost.
Amen.
I'm still a drunkard.
I just changed the medium.
I'm, you know.
So in 1 John 1, 9,.
Then all we have to do is admitto God we've done wrong.
We're obeying our conscience.

(35:34):
Paul said one time he said Ialways want to walk with my
heart, tender conscience towardGod and toward man.
He was always careful and hedidn't want to take advantage of
the position he held as anapostle and he had started many
churches and birthed manychurches and had to write some

(35:56):
hard letters and had to correctpeople in some of the things
that they were doing.
But he said I always want to beright with God in my dealing,
because I will have to answer toGod one day.
That's the way I am.
I do my very best to teach youthe whole counsel of the Word of
God and if I have to say hardthings, well, I've had to say

(36:20):
them and it's not easy for me tosay it, but I must.
That's why everybody needs apastor.
You can't make it out therewithout a church and a pastor.
Are you getting anything out ofthis?
So once you confess that sin,you know Jesus has been praying
for you.
No telling who else has beenpraying for you.

(36:40):
You know mothers I mean mothers.
This is Mother's Day and I justwant to remind you.
Nobody's got more.
I've told many mothers this.
Nobody's got more influenceover your kids than you do.
You pray moms.
I'm telling you.
God hears those prayers, especially when you base them on
the Word.
And I think about moms.

(37:00):
You know, even in the world Isee these criminals.
You know they're standing infront of the judge They've done
some horrible thing, and usuallywho's in their corner?
Front of the judge.
They've done some horriblething and usually who's in their
corner?
Mom?
Mom's up there standing rightnext to them.
You know it's just built in,isn't it?
It's built in Well.
And when you're a saved now, when you're saved now you know
you can pray for your children.

(37:20):
Even when they're not servingGod, even when they've never
really been saved, you can praywith great assurance.
You can know that God ishearing.
You can know you can really.
You can quit praying and startthanking God for their salvation
.
You get to the place where youdon't even pray about it anymore
, you just thank God.
They're saved.
Ha ha ha.
Glory to God.
You can come easier, you cancome hard, but you come in.

(37:42):
Oh, thank God for mamas, mamasand their prayers.
So one more verse here.
Hebrews, chapter 4.
Everybody say I'm entering in tomy part of the present day

(38:04):
ministry of Christ.
See, I mean, he's not byhimself, he's got the whole
church that he can assigncertain things to and he will
assign you folks to look after.
I use this example.
You know I was watching back inthe first building.
We had, you know, lots ofdifferent families and we had

(38:27):
this one family.
They had a brand new baby andthe oldest sister was about 10
years old, just like a stick youknow about, just straight as a
little stick and she's got herhip cocked out there and she's
got that baby and she's holdingthat baby right here walking
around the church for that baby.
And I just laugh and I said,you know, it doesn't take a

(38:48):
grownup to carry a baby.
You know, sometimes you can getenough of the word of God in
you that you can carry a brandnew baby Christian on your, on
your hip, so to speak.
You can carry them around, youcan pray for them, you can be
their advocate, you can speaklittle good, encouraging things
to them.
I just remember back when I hadmilk all over my mouth and I

(39:12):
had men that would come to meand tell me the truth, and it
made all the difference in theworld to have somebody that can
tell me when I wasn't quiteright.
Hebrews, chapter 4, verse 14.
4, verse 14,.
Seeing then we have a greathigh priest that is passed into

(39:33):
the heavens, jesus, son of God.
Let us hold fast our profession, for we have not a high priest
which cannot be touched with thefeeling of our infirmities, but
was in all points tempted, likeas we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly tothe throne of grace to obtain

(39:54):
mercy, to find a grace to helpin time of need.
Glory to God.
I mean, that's the scripture.
No, let's huddle in our bedroom, let's close the door.
Let's not go to church.
I don't want anybody to see me.
I'm doing penance, I'm fastingand praying, trying to get this
sin off.
No, you just confess it and getit done.

(40:16):
It's gone, his blood is enough.
And I've had to say his bloodis enough.
I've had to say it yeah, thankGod.
I mean, the devil tried tocondemn you for a mistake you
made.
You're a pastor here.
You are a pastor.
You did that.
I can't believe.

(40:36):
You know I don't listen to that.
I said well, his blood isenough.
Praise God.
I don't deny I did that, butit's under the sin.
He doesn't remember it.
I'm not going to remember iteither.
You might as well forget itbecause I'm not going to listen
to you.
So let's come boldly to thethrone of grace to obtain mercy
and let's help others do thesame.

(40:57):
I mean, you know, when you seesomebody struggling and many
times people do struggle theyhave issues in their life.
We live in a very complexsociety.
There's lots of blendedfamilies.
You've got all kind of familyissues where you've got half
brothers and sisters, and you'vegot this and you've got that.

(41:20):
It's complicated anymore, andholiday time comes around like
Mother's Day, and well, there'sa stepmother and not a mother,
and then it's this and it's thatand it's.
You know, there's places wherefamilies can get into strife and
division.
Listen, you just got to knowthat you have an intercessor.
He's been tempted in all points, like as you are, yet without

(41:43):
sin.
He's been tempted to walk invindication.
He's been tempted to walk inunforgiveness.
He's been tempted to walk inall the things that you're
tempted to do.
And if you do succumb to it,all you've got to do is obey
your conscience and know you didit, confess it and come boldly
to the throne of grace and thenact like nothing ever happened.
Well, it did happen.

(42:04):
No, it didn't.
It's gone, it's erased.
See, because God has this way offorgiving and forgetting.
He forgets.
Now, we're not that way.
I've heard people say now youknow, if you still remember it,
you haven't forgiven.
Well, I'm not God, I have brain.
My brain remembers just abouteverything.

(42:25):
Okay, I can't help it that Iremember the sin I can't
remember.
I can't help it that I rememberthe sin I can't remember.
I mean, I remember the wrongthat was done to me.
I remember it, but I have putit under the blood.
I release forgiveness.
If I think about it, I'llremind the devil.
Well, I've already forgiventhat person.
I don't need to think aboutthat issue.
See, don't let the devil lie toyou and keep you under bondage.

(42:48):
Come boldly to the throne ofgrace to obtain mercy and to
find the grace to help in timeof need.
Praise God Present day.
Minister of Jesus, come on,let's lift our hands.
Father, we thank you for thatwonderful Word of God.
We thank you that it's keepingus free, it's keeping us
cleansed and washed.
We've been washed by thewashing of water, by the word.

(43:11):
Thank you, lord.
We're so grateful for it inJesus.
