(00:00):
What's up friend?
It is so, so good to see youhere.
To have you tuning into anotherepisode of the God Empowered
Entrepreneur Podcast.
I want to pour into you thisweek.
At the beginning of a new weekwhere I know our minds are full
of ideas, thoughts, anxiety, stress, a never ending to-do
(00:25):
list, and everything in between.
I wanna pour into you with asimple fact that we often
forget, overlook, underplay, ordon't focus on enough, and that
fact my friend.
Is that nothing is impossiblewith God.
Let that fact, that phrase, thatbiblical verse marinate in your
(00:51):
spirit right now.
There is absolutely nothing thatis impossible for God to do, for
God to create, for God, tochange, for God, to pivot, for
God, to show up in, for God toopen, for God to close.
For God to move.
There is nothing that he can'tdo now.
(01:13):
Yes, we know this.
It's in the back, in oursubconscious mind somewhere, but
we forget it.
How do I know that You forgetit.
Well, because you are human.
I forget.
Because I'm human.
And what we talk a lot about onthese episodes is how difficult
it is to see beyond our worldlyviewpoint of things.
(01:36):
When we live in a world wherewe're surrounded by our
problems, we're constantlyconsumed by our chaotic
thoughts, by a nervous spirit,by our anxiety, our fears, our
insecurities that refuse to evergo away when we're so clouded by
that.
It becomes really difficult toremember to trust in and to
(01:56):
believe in the very real factthat nothing is impossible with
God.
And I wanna talk about thistoday for a few reasons.
First, I myself need to rememberit.
And the way that I see thispodcast is that it's not just me
preaching to you and pouringinto you.
Yes, I love to do that.
That's great.
I feel called to this and myhope is that these episodes are
(02:17):
moving you and planting a seedfor your transformation.
But.
These episodes are also here forus to be on a journey together.
Have I learned a lot and am Isharing my learnings, my
experiences, what I know?
Yes.
With you?
Absolutely, but I am also stilllearning.
I also still go through it and alot of times we listen to these
(02:39):
episodes or we're a part ofprograms, or we see these
experts online and we just thinkthey got it all together.
We think they got it all figuredout.
Do they know a lot?
Sure.
Can we learn a lot from them?
Absolutely.
But my friend, everyone goesthrough their stuff and
sometimes you just need someoneto tell you, Hey, I go through
(03:00):
it too.
I'm not perfect.
I've been where you're at.
I am where you are.
But we key word.
We can overcome this togetherwith God leading the way of our
individual lives.
Another reason why I want totalk about this is because it's
necessary, given the amount ofquestions and fears that I have
(03:23):
been hearing from people latelyin conversation in social media,
dms in talks with my studentsand for good reason.
We get scared, we get insecure,we're not sure, and a lot of
times we just wanna hide, holdback, hesitate, or push it off
to another day.
Or never end up taking a step atall.
(03:44):
And all of the reasons why isbecause we forget that there is
nothing that God can't donothing.
We're so clouded by ourlogistics, by what feels so
heavy and real and emotional, that little do we know it is
suffocating us.
It is deep in our ears to thepoint where we cannot hear, we
(04:08):
cannot think.
We cannot remember.
God has got us and that there'snothing he can't do.
So if you're listening and ifthere's something that God has
been calling you to do butyou're scared or there's
something that you're reallystruggling with right now,
mentally, emotionally, and youdon't see a way out.
Or maybe you are in a financialcircumstance, you're worried
(04:32):
about money, you're worriedabout certain choices that you
would make and your financesbeing impacted.
You're worried about the budgetyou have.
You're worried about not beingable to pay your bills next
month, whatever financialcircumstance that is.
This episode is also for you.
No matter where you are, whereyou're listening to this episode
or what season of life you arein, please breathe.
(04:54):
Have a sense of relief in thevery real fact.
Nothing is impossible for God.
When we finally believe that ourfear, our insecurities, our
worries, our stress, it divinelydiminishes because holding tight
to the belief that God can doanything in our lives.
He can show up in any way.
(05:15):
He can change, he can pivot, hecan move anything in our lives.
Trusting in that means we nolonger trust in the worries that
we have.
Because my friend, I'm sorry totell you this, but you really
can't do both.
You can't trust God and trustyour worries at the same time
because trust is gonna lack inone area and you gotta pick
(05:38):
whichever one that is.
I don't know about you, but forme, I prefer to work on trusting
God and therefore my lack, entrusting my worries, being
very, very, very present.
And I'm sure that you can relateto that too, a really clear
sign.
Of you believing and knowing andtrusting that God can do
(05:59):
anything, that nothing isimpossible with him in your
life, in your calling, in yourhome, in your health, and
everything in between, is thatyou're no longer questioning
things.
You're no longer obsessing overthe hows or the whens.
You're no longer pointing afinger at God, telling him when
and how and what about this, andyou're no longer allowing
(06:22):
thoughts like that.
To cloud your mind throughoutevery minute of the day.
Why?
Because you trust God.
If you trust God, then there'sno need to question him.
Now, yes, questions are gonnacome up.
You're human, though.
Stress or the worries are gonnatug at your heart.
Again, you're human, but howquick are you to bounce back and
(06:42):
to allow your spirit to rise upbeyond your emotions, beyond
your thoughts?
And remember, God's got it.
There's nothing that isimpossible with him.
He can do anything.
Now, I wanna talk about somemisconceptions here.
When it comes to nothing isimpossible with God, first
misconception is that sometimespeople take that Bible verse,
(07:05):
they take that fact, and theyuse that as an excuse for them
to be lazy.
Sorry if that hits you.
Sometimes we need to hear that.
You can't just sit on thesidelines saying, you know what?
It's all gonna be good.
Nothing is impossible with God.
I'm just gonna chill and sitback.
There are moments for stillness, yes, but there is a difference
(07:28):
between stillness, spiritualstillness, and straight up
laziness.
You cannot use the excuse thatGod's got it and that nothing is
impossible for him, and he'sgonna come through right here,
right now while you're justsitting on the sidelines doing
nothing and waiting for him todo it.
Why?
Because your effort matters too.
(07:50):
Your faith matters too.
God wants to partner with you.
He wants to lead your life whileyou steward your life.
And my friend.
You cannot steward your lifefrom the sidelines.
You cannot sit there.
Using laziness as an excuse foryou waiting on God.
So yes, believe that he willshow up in your life.
(08:11):
Believe that something willchange.
Believe that nothing isimpossible for him.
Believe that he can surprise youand bless you more than you
could ever imagine.
But my friend, do not sit on thesidelines and watch him do it.
Partner with him, walk with him.
Steward your gifts.
Put in effort.
(08:32):
Try and try again.
When you get down, you get up.
When you get down, have a littleemotional moment.
We all need those.
And then my friend, you gottaget up now on the other end,
there's this misconception ofbelieving that nothing is
impossible for God, but you havethat mentality.
With the wrong motives.
(08:53):
You believe that God is gonnabless you with a mansion.
You believe that God is gonnabless you with a million
dollars.
You believe that you're gonna beable to own five different cars
one day.
You believe that you're gonnahave 30 real estate properties
one day, and you believe thatyour business is gonna get you
to speak on stages that reachmillions of people.
These are all great, but what'sthe motive?
(09:14):
Because when you're leading withthat motive and the
intentionality for God to blessyou, materialistically, to bless
you when it comes to your statusand that takes lead in your
motives, then my friend, yourheart position needs to be
slightly re-pod.
Now let me explain.
Wealth is not a bad thing.
It's what you do with thatwealth.
(09:36):
It's your motives behind it.
For example, are you wanting tofocus on getting wealthy and
being financially free just foryourself, or do you have the
motive of doing that so that youhave money to bless other
people?
There is a difference in what isleading your motives behind your
(09:56):
ambitions, behind your prayers.
So when you pray, God, I wantyou to show up for me in this
way, and you believe God, youcan do the impossible.
I believe that you can.
I believe that you will.
Absolutely he can.
Absolutely he will.
But he's also gonna look at yourmotive.
He's also gonna look at yourheart's position.
That is important, and thatplays a big role in how you show
(10:18):
up in your partnership with God,how you show up in your role of
being a steward while he leadsyour life.
So when you believe that nothingis impossible with God.
Don't use that as an excuse tosit on the sidelines and be
lazy.
But on the other end, when youbelieve that nothing is
impossible with God, don't havethe wrong motive when it comes
(10:41):
to your prayers, your desires, and him showing up for you to do
the impossible.
And I need to express thattowards the beginning of this
episode because a lot of timeswe take the Bible outta context,
it says one thing, and we readthat and we're like, yep.
Going with it.
It says there's nothing Godcan't do.
(11:03):
Yes, that's true.
But are you reading the context?
Are you reading the versesaround it?
Are you understanding it?
Are you aligning it to previousstories and the New Testament?
Because at the end of the day, they all connect, and if you're
not doing that, you're missingout on the depths of the power
that comes with the reality ofGod doing the impossible.
(11:26):
What that means for your life.
Now, here's the thing I couldpour into you all day saying,
yeah, remember that nothing isimpossible with God.
But it's so hard for us to clingto that and to remember to
believe that tomorrow and thenext day and the next day after
that because we just forgetbecause life hits us because
we're just in it and we'refeeling all the things.
(11:48):
And oftentimes our emotionssurpass reality.
Our emotions surpass spiritualreality.
Our emotions surpass God'struth.
It takes lead in our life whenGod's truth should be taking
lead in our lives.
So how can we get better atremembering that nothing is
(12:08):
impossible with God, that he cando anything, that He's got us,
that we will be okay, that hehas surprises for us around the
corner.
That if we just let him lead andwe steward, we can trust him
with everything and he can doanything beyond what we could
ever think, feel, or imagine.
How do we remember that Firstthing that I'll say to that my
(12:30):
friend?
Think about all that he's donein your past, what he's brought
you through, what he's helpedyou achieve, what he's.
Healed you through how he'sgrown you, the blessings you
weren't expecting.
The divine stories that don'teven make sense.
You know the ones where you'relike, man, I don't even know how
(12:52):
that happened because I wasn'tequipped.
I wasn't expecting that, but ithappened and it blew my mind.
Those kinds of stories.
Sometimes we just need toreflect on that.
You listening to this episode, Iknow that you're an ambitious
person.
I know that you have a lot ofdreams.
I know that you have a lot ofgoals, and that's great.
That's a good quality.
(13:13):
But when we are so ambitious, atrait in that is constantly
moving on to the next thing.
We accomplish one thing.
We normalize that, oh, okay, yep, we accomplished it, and
then we're onto the next, andthen the next and then the next.
And all of a sudden we findourselves in this constantly
going through the motions ofgoal after goal.
(13:35):
After goal.
And when we do that, we are sofocused on the future that we
forget about any pastaccomplishments or we don't give
past accomplishments enoughcredit.
We don't praise God or rememberto praise him and remember to
thank him for all the previousthings that he did.
Why?
Because we're on to the next.
How can we do a better job atremembering all that he's done
(13:59):
before?
If he did it before he can andhe will do it again.
It's worth remembering.
It's worth reflecting on and Iknow for me, when I remember
that, when I reflect on that, itgives me hope.
When hope feels lost, it remindsme, wait a minute.
(14:19):
I don't need to let this stress,my anxiety take over right now.
I don't need to let all thesequestions about how or when.
Take over right now.
Because when I had thosequestions before, now that I
look back on it, they werepointless'cause God took care of
it.
I didn't need to ask the how, when, why, or what, because he
(14:40):
took care of it.
As long as I stewarded it, Iwalked with him.
I learned to trust him.
He took care of it.
He was there.
He opened doors.
He made sure I was okay.
Nothing is impossible for him.
Even the doors that didn't makesense.
He was right there opening themfor me to walk through, and he
(15:00):
does the exact same thing foryou.
Remember, reflect, have a momentof just closing your eyes and
meditating on that, becausesometimes taking a few minutes
of doing that is what we need togive us that hope again.
Next thing that I'll say, thinkabout all the stories in the
Bible where God showed up.
(15:22):
Where God came through, whereGod literally did what felt and
what seemed impossible.
Story after story, book afterbook, chapter after chapter.
I know that when you read theBible, we're just kind of
reading it, right?
Like verse afterwards.
(15:42):
Okay.
Yep.
Well, we learned that.
Oh, okay, cool.
But we gotta go deeper.
What was this really like backthen?
Sometimes I will take a chapterand I'll paint a movie in my
head.
I won't just read the verse.
I'll think about the emotionsbehind it.
I think about the sideconversations that might have
been happening in that Bibleverse.
(16:03):
I, I think about the effects ofit, the impact, the history, the
context around it.
I think a lot about that stuff, and honestly, I wanna do that
more and more because it hitsyou different when you do.
It aligns to this season of yourlife when you do.
Yes, a Bible story that was allthe way, way back then can
(16:24):
relate to the current seasonthat you are in right here,
right now.
But you, my friend, have to dothe work to read it in depth.
Abraham, Sarah, Jonah, David, all the disciples.
I, I, I literally could go onand on.
If God came through for them, what makes you think he wouldn't
(16:45):
come through for you As long asit is in alignment with his will
for your life, what makes youthink that he won't do the same
for you?
God is the same.
Today, tomorrow, and forever.
These aren't just stories we'rereading in a fiction book.
This is Truth, this Happened, and when you believe that, when
(17:07):
you hold that near and dear toyour heart, then you know.
That God, the same God that camethrough for them is the same God
that can come through for you,the same God that will take care
of you, the same God that has afuture for you, that same God
that can do the impossible.
Lastly.
Think about how much God lovesyou.
(17:31):
Oh my friend, he loves you.
We forget this.
We forget that we are all soloved beyond the phrase, I love
you.
It is well beyond that to thepoint where it is unexplainable.
How much he loves you.
If he loves you, he will takecare of you.
(17:53):
If he loves you, there's nothinghe won't do for you as long as
it is in alignment with his willfor your life.
He has not forgotten you.
He has not pushed you to thesides.
He does not care for others morethan he cares for you.
He loves us all the same.
Now sometimes.
(18:14):
We just gotta take it a littlebit deeper and pull up truth,
pull up the good word to bereminded of just how good our
God is.
And specifically what I'mtalking about right now, how
much he loves you.
Romans eight, chapter 38, for Iam convinced that neither death
nor love, neither angels nordemons, neither the present nor
(18:36):
the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor
anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from
the love of God.
That is in Christ Jesus ourLord.
We got Isaiah 54 10 though themountains be shaken and the
hills be removed, yet myunfailing love for you will not
(18:59):
be shaken, nor my covenant ofpeace be removed, says the Lord,
who has compassion on you.
Psalm 86 15.
You Lord are a compassionate andgracious God, slow to anger,
abounding in love andfaithfulness.
(19:20):
Those were just three.
There are countless verses inthe Bible that remind you of how
much you are loved and when weremember how loved we are.
Then we remember how taken careof we are, and when we remember
how taken care of we are, thenour worldly fears, concerns
(19:43):
stress that ain't got nothing onGod.
So why do we let it?
Why do we let it take power inour lives?
Why do we let it take us all theway down?
Why do we let it ruin our days?
Why do we let it diminish ourcalling?
Why do we let it cause us tohide to hesitate?
To not be at peace, to not bejoyful.
(20:03):
Why do we let it?
When God is right there watchingyou, waiting for you to
remember, and to believe in yourspirit with your heart, that
nothing is impossible for him,and that he's there.
He's there.
He is there, my friend.
So whether you needed thatreminder today in your creative
(20:26):
calling, in your businessbuilding journey.
In your financial struggle, inyour financial success, in the
open door that you are waitingon in the closed door that you
are waiting on, whatever it is,remember that nothing is
impossible with him.
I hope this was encouraging foryou today.
Remember, this isn't just areminder or a heart check for
(20:50):
you.
I'm in this with you.
I really am, and I'm a hugebeliever that we can overcome
anything.
When God is on our side and myfriend, oh my goodness, he is on
your side.
Even if it doesn't feel like it,even if it doesn't seem like it,
even when things don't makesense, even when you don't
(21:11):
understand, he is on your side.
He knows what he is doing.
Let's work on trusting that moreand more every day.
Thank you so much for tuning in.
It means so much to have you asa dedicated listener of these
episodes.
If you feel like this episodecould be pouring into someone
that you know, a family member, friend, colleague, then feel
(21:34):
free to share it their way.
I would love for this to be anencouraging pick me up that they
just might need today.
Thanks for watching, and I'llsee you next week for another
episode.
