Whether you’re folding laundry, heading to work, or making your morning coffee… I want this short word to interrupt your fear and realign your focus with faith.

In today’s God Empowered Entrepreneur Podcast episode, I’m sharing a raw and real encouragement about what happens when we fear our obedience to God in doing what He's called us to do, more than we fear disobeying God. Because let’s be honest...God’s been trying to pull something out of you for a while now…a gift, a message, a business, a book, a creative idea…and you keep shrinking back. You keep hesitating. You struggle with consistency.

Here’s the truth: You don’t need a massive leap to break through. You just need one obedient step at a time.

In this episode, I’ll walk you through:

👉 A mindset shift that will immediately help you move from fear to faith
👉 Why fearing disobedience to God can become your greatest motivation
👉 How 30 minutes a day can change everything in your obedience journey
👉 A simple reminder about God's provision that will calm your financial worries
👉 What I heard from God that is changing the way I lead, create, and show up
👉 The one question you need to ask yourself if you're delaying your calling

If you've been stuck asking “is it time?” or “am I really ready?”, this episode will speak directly to your spirit. You don’t need to have all the answers to move. You just need to trust the One who does.

Be sure to share this episode with a friend who’s stuck in fear mode. We’re not doing delayed obedience anymore!

Speaker 2 (00:00):
This week's episode, my friend, is going to be
slightly shorter because I wantit to be an encouraging word for
you while you're on the way towork, while you're taking a
walk, while you're at the gym, while you're in the kitchen
cooking, before you start yourday at your computer, whatever
it is, I want you to hit play onthis episode and just tune in

(00:20):
for the next 15 ish minutesbecause I wanna give you an
encouraging word today.
And that encouraging word haseverything to do with your fear.
When my friend, when are yougoing to stop allowing fear to
hold you back from doing whatGod is calling you to it's gotta

(00:42):
be at some point.
Otherwise, it will never come.
There will never be a pointwhere you actually surpass that
fear, but the only way for youto actually get to that point is
to move, to take the necessaryaction.
Even if you're scared, even ifyou're unsure, even if the
unknown terrifies you, you'restill moving, you're still

(01:04):
taking action.
You're still working towardspursuing what you know God has
been calling you to do for avery long time.
Now, here's the thing I know, easier said than done.
Fear is oftentimes on the throneof our hearts more than we
think.
A lot of times we think of moneybeing on the throne of our
hearts or idols being on thethrone of our hearts where God

(01:26):
should be.
But something that I feel likewe unintentionally miss is that
fear can many times take thethrone of our hearts when it's
on our heart, we think about it.
We allow it to control us.
We allow it to decipher thedecisions that we should or
shouldn't be making.
We allow it to lead us, and alot of what fear leads us to do

(01:50):
is to go against what God iscalling us to do.
So I wanna change your mind.
I wanna pour into you, I wannaencourage you in this week's
episode and get you to see adifferent perspective.
What does it look like?
To go from fearing walking inyour calling to instead fearing
the disobedience.

(02:11):
If you weren't to walk in yourcalling.
That is the head space.
That we need to be workingtowards, that we need to exist
in.
Why?
Because when we feardisobedience in what God is
calling us to do, then thatencourages us.
It motivates us to run rightafter what he is calling us to

(02:32):
do.
That encourages us to rememberto pour our faith in him to
remember that he has got uscovered, that he is our
provider, that he is ourcomforter, he is our protector.
He's got us.
But a lot of times we forgetthat a lot of times we don't
wanna full-heartedly believethat because our fear is way too
noisy and therefore is leadingour life.

(02:55):
This past week, I had thisbeautiful word in my mind on my
spirit where I was sittingthere, I was praying to God
about my personal next steps.
What does he want me to pursue?
What does he want me to do?
What does he want me to change?
How does he want me to show up?
And.
I felt in my spirit, angel.

(03:16):
There are so many of my sons anddaughters who have hidden gifts
and ideas inside of them that Ihave been trying to get out of
them, but they just won't move.
And I felt that these gifts andideas that you have.
God isn't just trying to get youto use them or call you to them,

(03:39):
get them out of you and into theworld, not just for your
benefit, but for others.
He's calling you to be a leader.
Your presence, your gift, youridea is the next step for
someone's transformation is thenext step for someone to have a
seed planted is the next stepfor someone to see Jesus all
because of your idea, and evenif your idea or your gift is in

(04:03):
boldly proclaiming the gospelbecause you love God.
We should be working towardseverything we do to be centered
around God himself, which meansthat even if we're not boldly
proclaiming the gospel, we arestill shining a God-given light.
We are still emancipating hisgreatness.
We are still reflecting thecharacters of Jesus to the point

(04:23):
where that is so naturally andbeautifully seen to the people
that you're being called toimpact.
Whether it's through content onYouTube podcast, whether it's
that book that God has beencalling you to write, whether
it's that business that you weresupposed to have been started a
year ago, okay.
Whether it is you finallyfinishing up that project, you
launching that coaching program, you starting to sell those

(04:46):
digital products, whatever thatidea is, it's time to stop
letting fear hold you back.
And if you're gonna let fearhold you back from anything, let
it hold you back from beingdisobedient to God rather than
it holding you back from beingobedient to God.
There's a huge difference there, and this is something that I'm

(05:07):
working on every single daybecause even though we don't
need a rush, and even though Godwilling, we have time.
In the grand scheme of things,my friend, we should not be
using that as an excuse to delaywhat we know we should be doing.
I know it's scary.
I know you have so manyquestions.

(05:27):
But leave the unansweredquestions in God's hands and
trust him enough that he willtake care of you.
He will guide your steps.
He will open up doors and myfriend, he will for sure close
doors to and along your journey.
If things are not making senseor if you find yourself confused
or frustrated, conflicted in anyway, bring it to God because as

(05:50):
long as you are in alignmentwith him and what he's calling
you to do.
You are going to be more than, okay, how long are you going to
let fear?
Are you going to let the enemy'snegative voice keep you from
walking in your calling, keepyou from creatively pursuing

(06:10):
that thing?
How long because.
I can sit here and tell youright now.
It's been long enough.
It was long enough for me.
I was standing in the way of myown progress.
I was the reason why delays werehappening.
Yes, God will have you inwaiting seasons, and yes, God
will keep you in seasons ofstillness and yes.

(06:34):
God might be prolonging ananswer to a prayer that you've
been praying about for a while, but there's a difference between
that because he knows best andtrusting that that versus you
being the reason why things aredelayed.
Huge difference.
How long will you allow the fearthat the enemy is speaking into
your mind sold loudly?
How long are you going to letthat keep you from God's

(06:57):
provision over your life?
God's calling over your life, the future that God has in store
for you?
If you would just move.
Now, there are two things that Iwant you to think about that can
really help your faith surpassthe fear that you're dealing
with right now, so that you canget moving, first thing that I
want you to think about, what isone thing that you can do for 30

(07:20):
minutes a day that will help youovercome your fear?
We have 24 hours in a day.
Yes.
Our eight of those hourssleeping.
Absolutely.
But that leaves us with 16 hoursout of our day.
What does it look like to take30 minutes each day doing
something, no matter how big orhow small that can get your

(07:42):
faith to finally surpass yourfear?
What action can that be for you30 minutes a day?
And it doesn't have to be thissuper big, drastic, dramatic
step.
It can be small, it can besteady, it can be quiet.
The whole point that I'm sayinghere is one simple thing, and
the reason why I'm saying thisis because a lot of times when

(08:04):
our fear is so big, it's becausewe're thinking about all the big
negative things that couldhappen.
All the what ifs.
All of the ideas of failure, andbecause our fear is so big,
oftentimes we think that we needthis big, drastic, dramatic
change or huge step to take inorder to overcome that fear.

(08:24):
That is an unrealisticexpectation.
You cannot expect one big, hugehabit to all of a sudden make
your fear completely go away.
It is a process, a gradualprocess that you need to be
patient with yourself about.
That God gives you grace for aslong as you are learning day by
day to put your trust in Himenough to the point where your

(08:46):
faith day by day begins tosurpass.
Your fear, so 30 minutes a day, what does that look like for you
to work on that?
Can you spend 30 minutes a daywriting?
A part of that chapter in thebook that you're supposed to
write, can you spend 30 minutesa day building out the structure
of the program that you knowyou're supposed to build?

(09:07):
Can you spend 30 minutes a daydiving into this project or
thinking here, or brainstorminghere in order to do what God is
calling you to do 30 minutes aday to allow your faith to
surpass your fear.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
The second thing that I want to remind you about
today.
God is your provider.
He will provide you with peace.
He will provide you withclarity.
He will provide you withcomfort.
He will provide you withcounsel.
He will provide you with opendoors.
He will provide for youfinancially if you just trust

(09:39):
him as you walk in the callingthat he has called you to I need
to.
be very clear with this becausewe forget this all the time.
I forget this all the time.
Why?
Because fear just gets so big tothe point where we forget that
God is bigger than our fear.
We forget that God will providefor us and that we will be okay.

(10:03):
A lot of times our fear comesfrom worrying about finances and
how that's gonna work out.
But when you stop looking atyour calling or your clients,
your customers, your students, your job as them being why
you're provided for, and youstart looking to God as the
reason as to why you're providedfor, then there is nothing to

(10:26):
fear.
There is nothing to fear.
Because God will take care ofyou.
However, I wanna be careful withmy words here because that
doesn't just mean that you justsit back and that you expect God
to provide for you financially.
It is a partnership with God.
You have to put in the faith, you have to put in the
consistent effort.
You have to steward what it isthat he has given you right now.

(10:50):
And as you do that, you arepositioning yourself.
As someone who can betrustworthy, as someone who
knows how to steward gifts fromthe Lord, as someone who knows
how to steward your currentseason well from the Lord,
whether it's hard or easy, you're stewarding it really well
with your faith and with youreffort, and as you do that, God

(11:11):
will come alongside you and hewill take care of you.
He will make sure that you'reokay.
He sees your good works, he seesyour faith.
He sees how much you trust him.
He will make sure that you areokay.
Stop allowing your fear aboutmoney to keep you from pursuing
your calling.
Go about it wisely.

(11:31):
Yes, have a plan, but don'tallow the planning to delay the
actions that you should betaking now.
I know it's tricky when it comesto the question of is it time?
Am I ready to go all in withthis calling?
Am I ready to pursue thisproject, that gift, that idea,
am I really ready for this?

(11:51):
Is this the right time?
I know that that can be a reallytough question.
And my answer to that questionfor you is to not overthink it.
Remember, what is one thing thatyou could do a day to allow your
faith to surpass the fear thatyou have about walking in your
God-given creative calling.
One thing that you could do aday for 30 minutes, and as
you're doing that, more claritywill come.

(12:13):
As you're doing that andpursuing God first and foremost,
he will show you the next step.
And even if it doesn't makesense, even if you get confused,
just keep progressing forwardbecause God will either sustain
that path or he will sobeautifully pivot you so that
you get on the right path.
All in all, my friend, let thisweek's episode be an

(12:33):
encouragement to you that it'stime to move.
The reason why I wanted to justencourage you with this today is
because I've had so manybeautiful conversations this
past week with current studentsof mine, or just conversations
with beautiful people, beautifulcreatives in my audience, and I
just noticed this theme of fear.
So scared to move, so scared tomake that choice.

(12:56):
So scared to pursue this.
So scared about finances, soworried about failure.
So concerned with what they'renot and this pattern of fear, it
breaks my heart to see, becauseI look at all of these beautiful
people that I've had theopportunity to connect
one-on-one with, and I think, wow, god wants you.

(13:16):
To get that creative gift andidea out of you.
There's a beautiful thing therethat's going to make impact on
your life and impact on thepeople around you.
Impact to the people that God iscalling you to show up for.
What a beautiful change andtransformation from that one
gift of yours, that one idea ofyours, but you're choosing to

(13:39):
keep it hidden.
It is time to overcome that byno longer fearing, being
obedient to God, but insteadfearing being disobedient to God
because when you are disobedientto God.
You will find yourself down apath that you are never meant to
be on, which means you will feeldissatisfied.
Having joy and peace is going tobe very hard to achieve.

(14:03):
There's going to be somethingthat feels like it's missing and
that lingering, that longingwill just stay in you.
But when you obey what God iscalling you to do.
There is a sense of satisfactionthere.
Joy and peace are moreattainable there.
Your faith skyrockets becauseyou're forced so beautifully

(14:24):
forced to grow your trust in Godwhen you're pursuing your
calling, pursuing oftentimeswhat is the unknown, but you're
doing it because you trust Godand you know that everything is
gonna be okay.
That he's got you.
As long as you partner with him.
He has got you.
Thanks so much for tuning in.
My prayer is that this episodeuplifts you enough to get

(14:47):
moving.
One itty bitty step a day, myfriend.
It is time, and if you know of afriend, of a colleague, of a
family member who could use thissame motivation, feel free to
share this episode their way.
We all need a little upliftmentfrom time to time, so feel free
to share this word out to anyoneyou feel could use it.
Much love my friend.

(15:07):
I believe in you.
I believe so heavily in the Godthat exists in you and that
beautiful gift or idea that he'strying to bring out of you.
I know you can do it.
I'll see you next week foranother episode of the God
